Customizing pages Marketing Online

Hi,
Marketing Online pages seems to be not migrated to OA but they are still on old framework.
How do we customize these pages? What are Oracle guidelines to customize them.
We want to add new fields in amsDelivOverMain.jsp. We tried changing AMS_DELV_OVERVIEW region that is mentioned in the page using AK Developer but changes didn't get reflected.
Can some one suggest what are suggested guide lines to do the change?

This Product is based on JTF Framework. You should its Implementation Guide Definitely Some tips would be there to customize this Page.

Under sysadmin login-systemadminitrator->Applications->functions. Here I search for the marketing functions. When the functions get listed i check for the type. It is JSP. I hope that's the way.
If it's fine, how do open marketing module. Please help

Sales & Marketing Online MapIt URL Maps feature for Addresses Google Maps

We recently enabled the MapIT URL functionality so our users can see street maps from Yahoo from Sales Online when they click on the Map it icon associated with all addresses in Sales and Marketing Online.
See Metalink 280542.1 for how to enable this in the Ebusiness Suite.
Two questions:
1. We would like to use Google Maps; does anyone know how this can be done?
2. Our business is in Australia. By default we hide Australia as a county on our addresses. This prevents us from seeing maps for addresses in Australia. Any body know a way around this?

Sorry mate looks like it is not straight forward change that you can make to use Google instead of Yahoo.
You may need to use Google Maps APIs and try to build your own URL and update the profile option.
I am hoping in next version of Oracle Apps has out of the box functionality to use Google maps.

Inactivating Countries from being selected in Sales and Marketing Online

When our users are adding new addresses to Organisations in Sales Online and Marketing Online (and Receivables); they get presented with a 'massive' list of countries to select from in the Country Dropdown including places like 'Aland Islands' and 'Obsolete see CS Territory' ..a whole bunch of places we will never use.
Can you tell me how to inactivate/end date these countries so they will no longer appear.
Also, is there any way to put certain countries at the top of the list? Of course we have our default country but would also like to 'order' some countries to the top.

What about this - a colleague of mine pointed me here:
System Administrator Responsibility -> Install -> Territories.
I have managed to update the name of some countries and Obsolete them. But Obsoleting keeps the country in the list -- are there any other options?

Oracle Marketing online( Web pages are not opening)

Hello all,
I have got 11i installed on my machine. Application is running fine. I was trying my hand on Oracle marketing module and also CRM Administration modules.
I don't know what's going wrong the web pages are not opening ( Web page not found offline) error is appearing.
Infact all functions of Oracle Marketing Super user have they type selected as JSP.
I am unable to resolve this problem. Can some please help me.

Marketing Online - Email Marketing

I have created
-Campaign and Campaign Schedules.
-Created Target groups.
-Created Coverletters and Content types.
-Attached the Email Content and the image with the Coverletter.
-Created Email Servers and Templates
All these have been created. But when i try to send mail. The mail is not sent. Notification Mailer is down. And i dont know exactly what port no should be given for the email server.
And the status of the mail is still submitted.What am i suppossed to do? Can anyone please help me out. I dont know if there is any problem in the Fulfillment Server. I have even tried to start the Fulfillment Server. But its still not working.

Hi,
You first of all need to start the fulfillment server, before executing any of the email or fax campaigns.
In Linux this can be easily done by starting using script file. (For additional config., pls refer the one to one fulfillment guide)
In windows this can be done by starting the service.
After starting the service, try making a campaign, campaign schedule and then activate it to send mail.

Marketing Online cover letter printing using One to one fulfillment

Hi All,
We are not able to print the coverletter using one to one fulfillment server.
Even after configured as per implimentation guide using pasta as printing server type.
One more thing how to add mergefields for print type content.
The error which i am getting is 'JTF_FM_PROC_PROCESS_FAILED'.
We are running on 11.5.10 version only.

Android Market now available online

Google has finally enabled their web-based market storefront. You can now view every app in the market online, as well as... wait for it... remotely push apps to your device. This should certainly make browsing for apps a bit easier, being able to do it on a computer.

I tried it when it first was reported a few days back and unless I am missing something it didnt work correctly for me, I decided to download a game called Gun Bros that was showing as free on the site but I couldnt find it on the market and when I scan code it said it was unavailible but the site said download was complete... After removing app from list a few times and adding it back the file finally sent me a Market responce and I was able to download the game. Maybe it has a delay before it grants access.
The ideal is sound but they may want to give more details on how it is suppose to function...

Personalization vs. Customization in Sales Online making field mandatory

I am having some difficulty distinguishing between Personalization vs. Customization in the Oracle CRM Sales/Marketing Online. Specifically, I have asked to make the Job Title field on the Contact screen to be mandatory when filling out contact details. Vanilla, out of the box it is optional.
Do we need a customization to make this happen which will cause issues for future upgrades or will a personalization do?

Are you referring to Oracle Sales ie;ASN or Oracle Sales Online?
If it is Oracle Sales screen then personalisation should work.

There are two functional modules 'CRM_PRP_MAINTAIN' and 'BAPI_PPR_MAINTAIN_40'. we have implemented 'CRM_PRP_MAINTAIN' but BAPI can also be used in this case.

That's a good question. I haven't heard anything official from Oracle yet, but here's my feeling:
Clearly, the upgrade path from OSM 11 to 11i should include
- CRM Foundation
- Oracle Sales
- Oracle Marketing
The confusion comes with the Online products. It seems that Sales Online and Marketing Online are separate products. But then, they are often referred to as the user front end, while the Sales and Marketing modules are the setup/administration pieces. If this is the case, then the upgrade path should also include the Online packages since the end-user interface is kinda important.

Android Market wont update

So i've had this phone since the first week of its release and the Android Market has yet to update. Ive talked to a verizon rep and he told me it should automatically update and that was 2 weeks ago. Also I went on the android market online and looked at trouble shooting and did all the steps and still nothing. Does anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried settings>applications>market and cleared the cache? I know in the past some people had to reinstall the marketplace. Last time I posted a download link it was edited if I remember right, so just hit up google from your phone to find it.

My husband and I presently share his Apple ID on our respective 5c iPhones. I want my own iCloud account. I created an Apple ID for myself.
1} how do I change from his apple ID in my phone
2) how do I continue to use the joint iTunes account under his name
3) see below - how do I switch the iTunes account to my apple ID
Also, under a totally different subject. My husbands iPhone was just stolen while he was doing volunteer disaster work in the Philippines. Since he did not have internet access I was not able to wipe out his phone on Find My iPhone until about 8 hours after it was stolen. After he found a way to call me back in the states, I wiped out all his data using FInd My iphone, notified Verizon and they suspended service.
Because the nonplan iPhones are so expensive ($600 +) I think he will buy an Android when he returns. Is there any way to transfer what is on our iTunes account to his Android?
The Verizon service person told me that whoever stole it will not be able to use the phone as it has been reported stolen. I can not imagine that is correct as there seems to be a thriving secondary market online. Is that correct? I am concerned that some super technical person will be able to retrieve data that was purged via Find My iPhone.... Is there anything else I should do?

Apple - iCloud - Family Sharing
Up to now, songs bought from iTunes could only be played by the Apple ID that has been used to buy them.
If you set up Family Sharing, your daughter can also play your songs and use the same contact info as before.
If you don't want to do that, sync the contact info to the address book on your computer, and sync the info back, using iTunes:
Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB
If the iPad already has her Apple ID and contact info on it, restore the phone from the latest iPad backup.

How does everyone manage Email Distribution Lists in E-Business Suite

We have heaps of email distribution lists stored in Oracle Ebusiness Suite, excel, access ..you name it!
I would like to use a standard method for tagging contacts in the CRM Sales and Marketing Online so our employees can run reports to create external mailing lists.
Today we use classification codes to do this. Have also thought about using a descriptive flex field and report on that to create a contact list with name and email addresses.
Anybody have a better idea for how to achieve this in Oracle Marketing/Sales Online?
Ideally, we would like to create a customer facing website so people could subscribe/unsubscribe from email lists and have it fully integrated 'plugged in' to the above solution.

No, no such kind of reasons.
Indeed I can send successfully to a simple email address but not to the distribution list ...
The problem is right there, in the fact that there is a ditribution list but I really don't know what's the problem ...
Have you ever use a distribution list? Any special thing to do with it?
