  • My Kindle app will not open at Boston Market. Why so specific?

    So I sit down at Boston Market with my sandwich and soft drink and a side of macaroni and cheese, try to open up the Kindle app to get in some relaxing reading during my lunch hour, and the app just quits before it even gets past the "welcome" screen.
    My best guess so far is that this particular Boston Market location has free WiFi that my iPad is trying to lock on to. However, that WiFi service seems to be not connected to an outside internet source. My iPhone does not like their WiFi service, either. Does the Kindle app, when sensing it is connected, try to update its library and, if so, when there is a bad connection present, is it simply closing the app altogether in protest?
    Should I just stop eating at Boston Market? (My lady friend would suggest this to be a wise choice regardless.)

    Try talking to the folks at the Boston Market to see if their router needs rebooting.

  • Files downloaded from assets, market are not opening, why is that?

    Hi,
    Today I had downloaded some of the files from CC assets, market, but when I open the files, i get this message: "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-life was encountered"....could I if this is the files issue or the software?

    IMpossible to tell. From flaky internet connections to damaged storage devices to simply using an unsuitable browser anything could be at play.

    experience), send them to language training, and then put them in an
    architect position on a distributed object system?
    Please, tell me that I don't understnad something...

    <u><font color="#800080"><p>Business Objects Project Leader âu20AC" </p><p>we have an urgent and immediate need for a âu20ACu0153take charge/hands onâu20AC project leader to lead a team of 7+ technical Business Objects resources located in New Jersey and Mumbai India. This team is currently responsible for the global support of Business Objects 6.5.2 which is currently utilized by 2000+ users worldwide. This same team is also responsible for upgrading the same Business Objects installation(s) to Business Objects XI Release 2. We have an aggressive timeline of fully deploying BO XI to all GFIS users worldwide by the end of September 2007. This position will require a great deal of personal interaction with all technical resources as well as with several functional liaisons, technical infrastructure, architecture and QA resources. There will be a short time for knowledge transfer from the existing project leader, but the expectation is for this new resource to be able to take full lead of the technical team by mid-March 2007. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must as the candidate for this project will be the central point of contact for providing project status as well as actively engaging with any functional and/or technical resources in order to get the job done. This candidate will need to insure the continued successful reliability of BO 6.5.2 through critical firmwide year-end usage while moving forward with the BO XI upgrade. • About the dev position opening

    i thought that the arch devs was a team always growing and growing, instead of a fixed size array of monkeys
    is (y)our development  board really that strict? are you advertising the opening or the need?

    IMO most TU would qualify as they already have experience in Arch packaging, repos and so on.
    As for repo reorganization, it would have the bad side that it would be more difficult to keep the different repos in sync if different teams are working on them. I mean, when you update glibc for example, you have to update all the packages depending on it accordingly. Also, the current organization with only two "real official" repos (core and extra) keeps our pacman.conf simple.
    Yet, I agree with you that there could be a repo reorganization, but I any I see it taking place more at the community (as in "community repo") level, with a lot of packages dropped from extra, especially things like desktop environments, so that only vital stuff that most people need on a desktop remains in extra (for example xorg). What I don't really have a clue about is where libs such as GTK would go with such a structure, but I'd rather see them in extra than in the repo where the Gnome stuff would be because I use a lot of GTK apps even if I don't have Gnome installed on my laptop.
    But anyway, Arch is growing and you can always use new devs in such cases, so thanks to all the candidates and good luck to the few chosen ones to be.

  • Fscommand, position opened window?

    Hey everyone.  So, I just learned about the fscommand and can't believe I didn't know about it before!  It is amazing and does almost exactly what I need it to do.
    However, I can't get the new window/exe file that opens to be centered.  Is there a way to do this so that when the .exe file is open, it is centered and on top?  I found one solution from years back here:
    http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=656462
    But wow.  That is so complex and I can't even get it to work right.
    So, I was hoping that if I showed you my code, you all might be able to help me with this.  I hope that some kind of code came out before AS3 was launched that can fix this.  Thank you all in advance, and here's my code!
    RelayBtn_btn.onRelease=function(){
    fscommand("exec", "BathingLineAD.exe");

    I've had over 20 views, but still no help or answer?  I know the code isn't bad b/c it's simple and I've tested it.  It works.  I just need to know if there's a way I can get the file that opens (BathingLineAD.exe) to be centered on the desktop, on top of the main file that's open.  Help would be very greatly appreciated.

  • Time Machine not working.  Just opens finder window

    Hi. I just installed my server a week or two ago. I used time machine to backup 600 Gig. We use this for a file server for the marketing dept with open directory tied to our Active directory. When I try to use time machine, it just opens a finder looking window. When I close it, it shows a white stripe at the bottom where the time machine bar would be. I rebooted hopeing it would fix it but no. Any thots anyone? It does appear that it is indeed backing up.

    Ok. I solved my own problem. Good thing since I am the one who created it. I had changed the monitor and it was an older one that didn't show the graphics very well. It couldn't keep up. Once I put a newer monitor with a nice dvi connection, it worked fine.

  • Where's the "Open Panel Vi"?

    Hi,
    I am looking for the Open Panel Vi', which I found described in
    Help->Online Reference.
    I know that it existed in Labview 4.1, but after upgrading to 5.0 I
    can't find it anymore. So, can anybody tell me where it is located.
    Is there anybody who did window handling' under LabView, like moving,
    resizing, positioning, opening, closing, ... them? If so, I am
    interested if you are using only all the vis which come with labview or
    do you use a special (smart) vi library, which could be found at
    (->please send me that address).

    The VI still exists, though it is there for compatibility, so that
    older applications will still work. The new and improved way to
    get at that functionality and lots more is the VI Server. You
    will need to go to the Application
    palette, the one with the LV
    icon on top of a hand. Inside there you will find icons for getting
    access to a VI's reference, wire that to a property node and select
    Panel Window.Open. Wire True to open the window and False to close it.
    As I said, there are lots of other properties, probably 20X what there
    used to be; so things are now packaged differently. You will probably
    also want to read a bit of the user manual and perhaps look at some of
    the examples that deal with the server.
