Marketing Organisation in CRM 4.0

Hi All,
As we are aware in CRM 4.0 there is no scope for maintaining Marketing Structure - then how can we could map Marketing Organisation and its Attributes in CRM 4.0 while implementation. Needed valueable inputs.

I have gone through the blog..It is the settings in SAP GUI Marketing.But I am creating a marketing plan in WEB UI and there is no option to replicate it.
When I am trying to open CRM_MKTPL in SAP GUI,It is saying it no longer configured in GUI.Check WEB UI.

Retriving company code in R3 from service organisation in CRM

Hi,
I have service organisation of CRM in R3 , now I need the corresponding company code/plant in R3. how to retrive it, is there any FM or method by which we can retrive.

Hello Vinay,
sorry, but there is no way to see the company code in CRM, explained by the following information:
in CRM System there is no company code data at all, so there is no
standard mapping of this data. The note 504169
explains the different data model in CRM and R/3.
Basically, the processes such as billing,dunning and payment are not
done in CRM so there's no need for company code data.

hi prakesh,
firstly, cic winclient is an older version and obsolete so its better to implement the new crm version.
secondly, in any case if you want to implement, then your 3rd party raw data has to be mapped with the SAP system which could be a problem. Middleware could be a lot of effort. Rest all depends on how much customization you need for your business requirement in cic and sales. In case you are implementing standard functionality mostly then no major complications are expected otherwise lot of development effort may be required.

I have a specific requirement for CRM 2005. Currently we are maintaining some values in Marketting Attribute of BP transaction. Now I need to access those values through some programme or FM or BADI. So, is there any way I can sccess those values in a structure. Actually I need to return those values to UI. Please also let me know is there any standard FM exists for this purpose.

I agree what you said but if we clear the context element it giving a dump as the program is refering to the NULL reference.As I said earlier my table has no data but still I am applying Filter and then clearing the Filter node value.
It is working correct when my table is not initial.

Marketing calendar iview CRM

Hi,
My Marketing calendar is working fine, but only a small problem..i.e. when i am creating a new campaign/TPM/Deal/TradeMarketing plan, it creates with default name and I couldnt find a way to rename it..

I installed crm business package for crm in portal. and an iview is attached to role, Campaign Manger.
The id of the iview is :
com.sap.pct.crm.mkt.Calendar
it calls RFC function module:
CRM_MKTPL_CLDR_PORTAL
Type of Iview: Java IView
It is displayed in Portal in : ActiveX Format
scenario:
Logged in as a campaign manager in portal. clicked on Marketing calendar iview --> it displays with the list of available campaigns/ Trade Promotion Management etc...
Now I create a new campaign from the menu avaialable in the iview, it creates a campaign with default name "CMP1". and I dont see any possibility to change the name of this campaign.
could you please check in your installation and let me know..

Calculated marketing attribute in crm segmentation

Good afternoon experts
I am looking for some simple advice.
Currently we are using segmentation via BW. (BW APD -> CRM ADS - Info set - Data Source - Attribute list).
For calculated fields (ex: getting data like dob,***, number of orders) should we use additional fields at infoset level (some abap code included) or should we do all calculations directly via BW and simply feed it to the ADS in CRM.
Is there a best practice depending on volume/complexity?

Hi Razvan,
we had a similar requirement and we have done all the calcualtion in the BW (DSO, infosets).
Simply map the attributes, data source in the segmentaion. The purpose of having a BW system is to
do multiple and complex reports. If you are processing the large amount of data in CRM it will cause slowness and session timeout. So I would suggest all the data processing should be done in BW and please show the result in CRM.

Hi Gurus,
We are using function module CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP to change marketing attributes for a business partner in which the marketing attributes are coming from another interface.
We get the marketing attributes created all the time, but the problem is when theres is a change in marketing attributes, these changes are also reflected, but the changed by and time stamp is not changed, though we pass it explicitly via the internal table IT_IMP_SELTAB when passing the fields CHANGED_AT and CHANGED_BY.
Requesting if anyone knows another FM or BAPI or OSS noted available for this as this particular FM is not released yet too.

Check that the Flag Run in the table CRM_MKTBP_CHECK for function module CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_AUSP_EX_DB is set to X. This is for recording the history for any changes in the attributes. If not then set this flag to X. After that just change the value of one of the attributes and check the 'CHANGED AT' and 'CHANGED BY' fields for that attibute.

There are several functional improvements, new functionalities and better integration points with SAP R/3 - SAP ECC ,
easier usage of IC Webclient, new things within Marketing and campaign management.
Also CRM 5.0 has added many new features like:
- Visit planning
- Warrenty Claims
- Enhanced and easy configurable/ customizable IC Webclient
- Concept of Marketing Organisation
Between CRM 5.0 and CRM 5.1 main change is in architecture. CRM 5.1 is UI based, you have view,component concepts.
(see SAP Service Marketplace quick link crm-inst → mySAP CRM → SAP CRM 2006s → SAP CRM 5.1 Cross Component → Master Guide SAP CRM 2006s).
Currently CRM 5.2 has also been released.CRM 5.0 have a Mainstream-Maintainence till 31.03.2011.

Populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD

Hi Experts
We are having problems with populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD. When we run our process we get the error message:
CRMBW_ATTR_WRITE005: Error when processing function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5. Message no. RSAN_MDL024
As you can see, we are using the new function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5 since the old CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT did not work either.
Do we have to add a reference to a infoobject in transaction CRMBWTARGETS? We have not done this because the marketing attribute in CRM doesnt have decimals and all the objects in BI have. Could this be the cause of the error?

I have already followed the procedure you have described. Since there is not common objects between ODS and Bpatner infoobject, i am not able to do mapping.
for eg. my ZBPARTNER infoobject has attributes like zfooty, ztennis and zrugby but my ODS has char name , char value, counter for multiple values infoobjects.
I am following the example in the demo content to work out the process but could not understand how the data is getting uploaded from ODS to Business partner.

CRM Consumer (Organisation) Mapping with R/3

Hello Guru's,
I am facing a problem, we are implementing CRM Service for one of our Client, in Service we need to map Installed At Partner function with R/3. We created Installed At Partner function under the role CRM006 Consumer (Organisation), so that it can be replicated in ECC.
In PIDE transaction code, I mapped
CRM->R/3: Assign BP Classification to Account Grp:
Claasification: A (Consumer Organisation), Account Group: 0170, Name: Consumer.
I am getting an error, while transferring Consumer Organisation from CRM to ECC i.e. Organisation cannot be created in Account Group "Consumer".
As we dig deeper in ECC, we found that Account group 0170(Consumer) is only valid for Person, how do we map Consumer(Organisation) with ECC Account Group.

Hi Mohammed,
That transaction is not supported anymore in version 7.0. You have to use WebUI.
Enter on it using MARKETINGPRO business role, and you'll find it in marketing viewset.

How can Siebel CRM support mobile marketing?

Besides email marketing, does Siebel CRM support Short Message Services (SMS) via mobile communication network to a group of targeted customers (mobile marketing)?
Is there an Oracle product which can support mobile marketing and can be integrated on Siebel CRM? Or can Siebel CRM be integrated with an external mobile service provider? Is there any documentation on the integration specs with the external mobile service provider?
