I am implementing Marketing Online now.
Could anybody tell me which API is called when creating a product from Marketing Online?
Is Inventory API directly called?

There are two functional modules 'CRM_PRP_MAINTAIN' and 'BAPI_PPR_MAINTAIN_40'. we have implemented  'CRM_PRP_MAINTAIN' but BAPI can also be used in this case.

  • ILife 09 Marketing Product Number?!

    I've just installed iLife 09 (from installer disc that came with my MacBook Pro) on a clean version of Snow Leopard. The installation process went smoothly, but the after that iPhoto, iMovie.. etc start asking me to register the product by entering the "Marketing Product Number - MPN".
    What the **** is MPN? Where can I find it?
    Note that I haven't purchased iLife 09 separately, rather it came on disc along with my MacBook Pro.

    We want to use this product for our application, for the purpose of converting different files formats into a PDF file and also for attaching files into a single PDF using a web application and windows service. I have to evaluate some features and point regarding this product which are as below:
    1. PDF form creation in future requirement.
    2. Maximum files size that i can convert into PDF.
    3. Memory management when converting N number of files.
    4. Compatibility with C#, .Net Framework 4.0, using MS Visual Studio 2010.
    5. Support of the product for future.
    6. Primary requirement to use PDFLiveCyle for above features.
    7. Basic guidelines before using PDFLiveCyle.
    8. Ease of coding using PDFLiveCyle.
    9. 32bit or 64bit support.

    I received a letter that offered the FIOS triple play at a lower price than on the web. The customer service person at {edited for privacy} knew nothing about it and could not find the ad anywhere. Online $79.99. I have seen the prices change quickly online and now the letters home are not honored. Good luck with keeping and bringing back previous customers!

    You may have received a letter pertaining to an online only price.  9 times out of 10, these promotions are not provided to the call center reps to avoid having them offer something they cannot provide.

  • After-Market / Fake Products (Headsets)

    My iphone is already here: it's the e61. I don't think this device, rightly lauded everywhere else, gets enough praise in the U.S. But it needs a companion. In December, I started to look for a bluetooth headset. I narrowed my search to Nokia BH-800 and BH-900. And there begins my run-in with an aftermarket product - and what kind of support I received from the marketplace, including Nokia. Almost every company carps about "after market" products, aka fakes. We are told that billions are lost because of "after market" products, mainly from China. Tiffany even made a public issue of it with ebay. So how much do companies really care about fakes - and attempts by consumers to expose them? I'm starting to wonder. I have had to jump through incredible hoops to a) prove a "BH-800" fake, which I conclusively did and have been reporting my progress to both ebay and Nokia; b) get any kind of refund, in this case from PayPal, which has agreed with my claim but continues to demand things of me within deadlines that frankly stun me; and c) nothing has been done with the seller - he's still on business on ebay. It appears to be all in vain. This is how it all happened: In December, I bought a BH-800 from a Hong Kong-based seller on ebay with, at the time, great feedback. The package arrived. It looked original. There was no warranty card and the manual looked suspect, I thought, but maybe that was an Asian version - all would be forgiven if the product itself was the real thing. Sure enough, the product charged. It paired with my e61. Then, within 15 minutes it started to beep: low battery. I tried to recharge the unit. No luck. The red light wouldn't even come on. I e-mailed the seller. He promised quick action and asked to me keep trying to charge the headset. No luck. I e-mailed him again. No response. I e-mailed again, no response. This is where my ire kicked in, as both a Nokia user and a Nokia shareholder. I reported my experience with the headset and the lack of Seller communication to PayPal - and filed a claim for refund. Online, I read about Nokia's efforts to shut down fakes. I thought, great: they can be like Tiffany, aggressively fighting the after-markets. So I e-mailed Nokia Customer Service, which, to its credit, asked me to send them the item number and the Seller info. I did. Then PayPal wrote me back. They wanted proof (or as they call it, authentication by a third party) that my BH-800 was a fake. I had 10 days to do it, or the claim was canceled. I wrote Nokia Customer Service again, asking for their help in authenticating the product - at my expense. Not hearing back, I called Nokia Customer Service and explained what I was trying to do. "Is this about a phone," they kept asking. No, about a fake headset - you guys care about fakes, don't you. I was asked to e-mail again. I did. I got an e-mail that said my query had been forwarded to the "appropriate product department". I noted the urgency of the the PayPal 10-day deadline, again. So, then, I called the Nokia flagship store in New York. Someone said to bring the piece in. I happened to going to NY on business. I took the piece in. Assistant Manager Joanne Losinno was great. She agreed to help me. She had never seen anything like it. The piece was smaller than an original BH-800, there was no UPC code, the manual was a fake, the accompanying pouch was not the standard. What Losinno couldn't do was state on paper, for legal reasons she said, that the item was an out and out fake. But she could make darn close in a letter. Which she did. In turn, I faxed her letter to PayPal, as instructed. Two days ago, I received my response. Yes, I could get a refund if I a) I returned the item to the Seller in Hong Kong at my own expense; b) reported a confirmed tracking number within 10 days to PayPal; c) I wait until the Seller confirms that he has received it. In the absence of all that, I lose my claim. As of this writing, I have satisfied two of those three conditions. Sending the package registered USPS cost me $17, or more than 50% of the original PayPal charge. Meanwhile, Nokia Customer Service has never gotten back to me - on an effort that I wanted to believe I was undertaking on their behalf. You see, I am also a Nokia shareholder, which I had mentioned to Customer Service. As far as I know, Nokia CS has no idea that their NY flagship store was even involved, since they neither suggested it nor responded when I said I was going to do that - a critical piece that would have brought everyone in the loop effortlessly. Meanwhile ebay continues to host this seller and others like him. Sister company PayPal continues to accept payments on behalf of this Seller. Recently, the Seller's negative ratings have started to pile up. I also went back and dug deeper into his ratings. I'm not the first to receive a fake BH-800 - a fact also reported to Paypal. Meanwhile, I bought a BH-900, an authentic one, on ebay, from a U.S.-based seller, and am very happy with it. Still, I wonder about Nokia, which can integrate complicated functions on its phones but not its responsiveness to a diligent customer. I doubt I'll hear from Nokia, but it's a nice thought. Life goes on, and so do fakes. I will be happy to provide documentation on all of the above to bona fide parties with a stake in supporting my efforts.

    Short ago I bought this adaptor to connect an iMac with my beamer (Mitsubishi HC 1100) and the outcome is - better than ever. Clearly you can say that one adapter is better than two.   • IPad product number for Indian market!

    Hello.
    I have planned to buy the 'New iPad' here in India. The problem is  most of the stores here sell gray market products. I cannot trust them if they sell me the iPad which is imported say from the U.S. In case if I do not buy from official Apple reseller, how do I recognize if the iPad is supposed to sell for the Indian market? Is there any specific serial/part number to recognize it?
    Note: Though Apple provides international warranty for iPad and if I buy an iPad imported from say U.S., the international warranty is not applicable for India.

    Yes, all products have serial numbers, but Apple will not sell outside the country which supplies the product. For instance you, in India, cannot buy from Apple in a different country.
    Perhaps there is a clue here?

  • T6060 possible problem/error of production...Central speaker is weaker and faded than the others

    I just noticed on my recently bought t6060 that the center speaker sounds weaker and faded compared to the other satellites. what might be the problem? i know that the center speaker is intended for voice reproduction in 5.1 streams. On dvd playback i hear the voices, but not as clearly as other sounds that are reproduced by the satellites. When testing the speakers, when naming each channel, the center speaker is softer, faded and weaker than the others. Is it normal to be this way or do I have to return the product to service? Please tell me what to do...if there is anymore testing to be done, or if this is the normal way it should sound.
    I tried to connect one of the other 8 watt satellites to the center connector, and it sounds perfectly clear, so there should be good audio output on the center channel, but when i connected the central speaker, which is 8 watts of power in the place of the speaker that i had unplugged earlier before, the central speaker sounded as soft, weak and fade as before. What is the problem? Do I have a defective central speaker? Please guide me what to do. I am kinda disapointed by all this. I have a Creative Live! 7.1 24 bit which works fine and also a Creative MuVo V200 512 MB, and i am very pleased with both of them. That's why I chose Creative for my 5.1 speaker system. Help, please. Thank you very much for your earliest attention.

    there was a real faulty center speaker, they've aknowledged the problem and they changed the whole system with a brand new one, which works pretty good. SOme things i have noticed comparing the two packages. I am afraid that the first set that i got was some sort of an RMA product that had been fixed, because although the seals were intact, and the inner boxes seemed new, but the small plastic bags that contained the speakers were somehow damaged and the speakers were not that well packed as this new set that i got a few days ago. The thing that i noticed, unfortunately is that i have now the same problem as SMSMASTERS reported, the fluctuation of the volume. It is perceptible, but after a little bit of fine listening. It's definitely there... I frankly am dissapointed in Creative for not being able to make a good solid product. And how could they market a product that, as you can see on this forum, has so many problems and bugs that need to be fixed? I would advise all those who want to buy new products and recently marketed products from creative to wait a little bit more and not haste into it...i think the best speaker set that will be marketed under the name of t6060 would be somewhere in spring or summer of this year, probably the revision B or C series, cause this one really sucks. The speakers are alright, and they sound pretty clear and accurate, and it's probably a problem with the remote, as other people reported on the forum, but it's simply rude and disconsiderate to buyers and especially to Creative fans to release a product with so many bugs that need to be fixed. It's a shame really, and a huge dissapointment. I wonder how you all feel, all of you who posted on this forum about bugs related to your hardware...

    Question:
    1. Do you want to delete the product that is listed in the Top-N?   or
    2. Get rid of the Top-N list ?
    You have already put this question and you have got lot answers for (1).
    If it is (2), then here are some thoughts about it.
    Top-N list products are a result of what you maintain in BI parameter ID in the CRM configuration. Actually it is a result of a "query" to BI - in a way...
    Tcode: SPRO to IMG.
    In IMG, go to
    CRM
        Marketing
            Product Proposals
                Define BI parameters ID for Top n Lists
    So, if you don't want to see the products in the list, change the parameter ID or get rid of it.

  • Upgrade from CS3 to CS6 -- after market stuff gone!

    After my upgrade from CS3 to CS6, my after-market items are not showing up.  (Kubota Action Dashboard, Totally Rad Actions RadLab...)
    My inexperience assumed that the CS6 would overwrite the CS3 in the upgrade, but now I have two programs....one with my after-market products and one without.
    Any help out there??

    Okay...it's a brand new computer (Dell XPS 8500) and I just bought one of the products before I realized that the CS3 wasn't compatible with Windows 7.  Do I delete the CS3 and reinstall the after-market product?  Or do I delete the after-market product and reinstall and it automatically finds CS6? 
    I've been trying to get this running for three days!  LOL  I'm ready to throw it out the window....

  • APIM Service Proxy Availability when updating APIs

    We're going to be driving Product/API/Operation updates via the APIM REST API.  Given that we will have a very large number of APIs/Operations (spanning many Products), this process may take a few seconds/minutes.  
    Will the APIM Service Proxy continue to function while things are being updated via the APIM REST API?  Or should we approach updating en masse as a "maintenance window" event with our partners, and have then plan for downtime?
    We plan to have our own xml-based representations of Products/APIs/Operations, and will be for-each'ing through that representation applying updates via the REST API (adding new items, updating existing items, removing deleted items, etc.).  I'd like
    to feel confident that we can apply updates in production (live and under load) and still have everything work.

    The proxy will continue to function while things are being updated. It will pick up the latest configuration once your changes are completed.

  • Product proposal based on spare parts

    We have a requirement in service InHouse repair order where the item where is the product to be repaired is selected and there have to be an action button to add a spare part. After adding the new item, the system have to show the product proposals not from the item to be repaired, but from the last spare part linked to it. Is there an standard action profile that do this? If not, can you suggest development options to do that?

    Please check:
    IMG > CRM > Marketing > Product Proposals > Create Method Schema
    There is a method schema for Accessories (000004)
    IMG > CRM > Marketing > Product Proposals > IC Settings > Assign Product Proposal
    Assign Method schema here to your Sales org
    IMG > CRM > Business Roles > Define Business Role
    Assign the Product Proposal profile to the IC Agent Role under assign function profiles dialog structure.

    Apple TV is streaming is in 1080p only when the movie quality is in 1080p.
    The pourpose of the upscaling is to have the benefit of watching a movie in 1080p even when the movie you are playing has a low resolution or DVD quality.

    You could do this with IMAP in the JavaMail API. That way you dont have to rely on a product API.
