CRM marketing is a close loop solution, Key capabilities consisting of Campaign Management and TPM.
The following are required to run the Campaing Management Scenario.
1)CRM Application Server ABAP( for java Runtime)
2)SAP ERP 6.0
For Marketing Planning and Budgeting and Campaign Analysis.
3)SAP BW/BI in Net Weaver
For Marketing Planning and Budgeting, Campaign Planning and Campaign Analysis.
TPM (closely integrated with Marketing Planner, Account Planning, ECC(For condition generation)).
1)Application Server.
2)SAP ECC.
3)SAP Netweaver 7.0 including BI content 7.02
4)SAP SCM 5.0

    Objective: Creation of a Marketing Profile Set based on the standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset thru the WebUI Segment Builder.
    Problems: Standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset DOES NEVER RETURN ANY RESULTS on the segmentation builder of the WebUI client (no matter the filter you specify).
    Other cases:  However if we create a new Data source with data "Extraction from Query" (transaction RS02) based on this standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset and we test the functionality using transaction RSA3, IT DOES RETURN RESULTS (using the same filters as in the segmentation builder)! Of course the segmentation builder works with other attribute lists.
    NEW: IF WE DON’T ESPECIFY ANY SEGMENTATION BASE IN THE PROFILE GROUP, IT DOES RETURN RESULTS!!! (GO TO THE END OF THE DOCUMENT FOR DETAILS)
    Steps followed:
    Review Standard Infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE (Transaction SQ02).Review Data Reading Program code: do we have to change the standard code? We have only remove the "BREAK-POINT" statement.
    Creation of a Data source based on the standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset (Transaction CRMD_MKTDS).
    Creation of an Attribute List based on that standard Data source and selection the Birth date as a filter in the Attribute list (Transaction CRMD_MKTDS).
    On the segment builder of the WebUI set any filter (Example: “TODAY”).

    Count target group. Here I would like to stand out that once you click on the “Count” option, immediately it shows 0 results. In other words, it doesn’t process any information. With other attribute lists it takes some time to process, no matter the filter or the attribute list you use. However if we create a new Data source with data "Extraction from Query" (transaction RS02) based on this standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset and we test the functionality using transaction RSA3, IT DOES RETURN RESULTS (with “today” filter and other)! So it seems that the problem has to do with the segment builder, not the Infoset.
    Result: it never return any results no matter the filter you specify.

    It seems that the standard Infoset doesn’t work by itself with Segmentation Basis. Two SAP notes have been applied and a new Field Group has been added to the Infoset (in order to distint the Segmentation Base).
    CRMT_MKTTG_IS_BIRTHDATE-MGRGUID
    1966298: MGR_GUID is not populated correctly to infoset read program
    2007687:Segmentation InfoSet queries saved with incorrect Master Group
    For that reason we had to create a new Infoset based on the standard CRMT_MKTTG_IS_BIRTHDATE, but adding this new Field MGRGUID to the Group Fields.

  • Populating marketing attribute of bp in new field created by eew in crm

    Hi all,
        I have created new field in transaction types(lead opp, quotation and order) through eew.
        how do i populate a value of a marketing attribute that i have maintained for a business partner(TABLE for marketing attribute:- AUSP) in the new fields created in all the transaction types.
        Can anyone help me in how to achieve this as it is an high priority issue for me?
        I have tried doing by writing a code in pbo of the screen in which fields are created but it gives me a dump at item level if item is maintained otherwise it works but item is compulsary.

    Check the BADI 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_BADI'
    Implement the method 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MERGE'
    First of all select the data from the table.
    Fill in the appropriate corresponding field in the structure 'CS_CUSTOMER_H_BADI',of the method, with the data extacted. Finally(very important), In the table 'IT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES', of the method, append a line with the field FIELDNAME containing the name of the field in the Customer_h structure and field CHANGEABLE containing space.
    I think this should solve your problem.

  • How do I install Firefox on a Galaxy S, if the market says that is not available for me?

    I am trying to download Firefox 5 for my brand new Samsung Galaxy S I9000, when I press install from the Android Market webpage it tells me This app is not compatible with your Samsung Galaxy S I9000 and then a text appears This app cannot be installed in the country of your device. I live in Uruguay South America and I use FF in all my desktops computers. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks.

    The two main things that you need for mobile Firefox to work is Android 2.0 and newer (which you have) and the cpu on phone/tablet has to be a ARM v7 type of cpu as the old ARM v6 will not work.
    Acording to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements it is compatible and the 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, Hummingbird chipset is a ARM v7 type.

  • Error in Marketing Attribute Update

    HI All,
    I need to update the Marketing attribute of the BP. For this i tried using below mentioned FM
    1. CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT
    2. CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP
    Now i am facing a strange issue here. My code is able to update BP half of the time and half of the time Not at all.
    Doesn't return any error OR warning, but not working.
    Is there any thing else which i can try Or any limitation on Marketing attribute, I simply have no idea how to resolve this.
    Any help is deeply appreciated.

    I tried your approach, but still not able to resolve it.
    I am not getting any error in the return table. It shows success. But when i go to BP transaction and then to Marketing attribute tab, i don't see any Attribute Set assigned to BP.
    When i go to Edit Mode and manually assign attribute set, It shows me the values passed by me, but even there also if i save BP, Attribute set is not getting saved.
    I am thinking it might be a bug, did any body else has faced similar problem with Marketing attributes?
    If yes, what is the Solution for this and did you raised any OSS?
    FYI, We are working on CRM 7 Ehp1.
    I am able to find One Error. When my program is calling FM CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB. It is raising an exception.
    Exception is 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB'. In the FM at line 340 there is a statement:
        INSERT ausp FROM TABLE lt_i_ausp.
    This is the place where exception is raised.
    I am looking for a Note for this, but if some body has any idea on this, Please share.

  • Cannot download assets from creative cloud market....?

    Hi, I like Adobe Creative Cloud very much, just started using it beginning of this month!
    I do have a question. In my Student and Teachers license of Adobe CC, I do not have access to downloading from the Creative Cloud Market. That options keeps telling me that only a full license premium gives access, so I need to upgrade.
    I’ve been on the forums, had chats with customer service and talked also on the telephone about this. I was told that a student license doesn’t have those options because I pay a reduced price. I visited a lot of webpages with info about Adobe CC and read a lot :-). I cannot find anywhere that students and teachers cannot access those options. Only with the Photographer’s Bundle and the Free Adobe CC there are restrictions as I understand. The Student and Teachers version is promoted (as in article in link below) as having the same tools and services as the full premium license.
    But Adobe CC Market downloads remain not accessible to me unless I upgrade to another ‘plan’ – and I remain in the dark about the rule here. Is it incorporated as said in the article below or is it not? Can you please help me with my question?

  • Really aggressive marketing campaign for creative cloud

    today my Lightroom informed me that there is an update, and asked me if I would like to download the update. I answered "yes" and was taken to the Adobe website. But, instead of being taken to the Adobe Lightroom download page as has happened with all of the previous updates, this time I was taken to a page about creative cloud. I don't want creative cloud. I only want to update my desktop version. So I tried clicking on the way for the desktop version, which is hidden away down in the bottom right corner of the screen. And that takes me to create a cloud. So I tried going to downloads for Lightroom. And I get taken to creative cloud.
    I eventually had to call up Adobe on the phone in order to be able to update my desktop version of Lightroom. I let the agent I spoke with know it was very annoying to be subject to this obviously aggressive marketing campaign for creative cloud. When we were done with the call I thanked him for helping me do on the phone what I couldn't do on the website.  I also let him know that  it seems like Adobe is trying very hard to steer people to be creative cloud option and away from the desktop option.  I also let him know that if Adobe ever does away with the desktop version and the creative cloud version is the only alternative I am gone as a customer. I will use Apple photos or some other product. I will not be forced into a subscription-based service against my will.

  • Fixed Asset: market value

    Hi All!
    Due to IAS we must post an special provision:
    when the inmaterial fixed asset value market is minor than fixed asset net value we have to post a provision by depreciation (in order to reflect the possible loss when we sale it)
    This provision does not affect the fixed asset countable net value. So that provision don't have post in 01 depreciation area. But:
    1- when we sell the assets the provision must appear in the sale affecting to the benefit or loss.
    2- I need to know the provision for each fixed assets. That's why we need SAP shows its in FI-AA area.
    With the transactions under Manual Value Correction folder (fixed asset menu) the fixed asset net value is modified.
    We've tried to implement a second area doesn’t affect to fixed
    asset values from the 01 depreciation area and vice verse to post there this provision. But The system doesn’t allow that (message error number AC528)
    Do have more ideas?

    It seems that Transferred Reserves is used to sell a fixed asset and transfer the benefit to other asset (If I've undertood right)
    I put an exemple to fix the question:
    I adquiered a fixed asset by 1.000 euros (a building) in 2005
    - Deprecation key: LIND (Str.-line) /  Use Life: 10 years
    In 2007 my building on second hand house market is valuated in 500 euros (minor than fixed asset countable net value 800 euros).
    So I must post a provision by depreciation by 300 euros. That post does'nt affect to fixed asset countable net value (is just a provision). My fixed asset countable net value is 800 euros.
    In 2010 I sold my asset by 1.000 euros. My fixed asset countable net value is 500 euros. So my profit is 500 euros. Then I must to reverse the provision post in 2007 .
    I need to post that provision related to fixed asset but without affect to asset net value, to reverse that in the asset sale.

    My question is about the licensing required to development and marketing small add-ons / extensions for SAP Enterprise Portal.
    Is it possible for the individual developer to develop and market small add-ons for EP in Java WDP, making use of a trail EP installation?
    Do you need a special license for this (to develop commercial products)?
    Maybe like a [SAP NetWeaver Developer Subscription|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/development?refer=subscriptionslandingpage], or the [SAP Composition Subscription|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/composition?refer=subscriptionslandingpage]?
    Reading up on the [Subscriptions FAQ|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/software-faq#q-4-5], and it is not very clear:
    Can I use my developed add-ons, extensions, developments, or modifications in a production environment?
    In order to run your add-ons, extensions, developments, or modifications in a production environment, you need to purchase the applicable license from SAP. SAP customers or partners who already have an applicable license can use SAP NetWeaver in a production environment.
    So-
    "SAP customers or partners who already have an applicable license can use SAP NetWeaver in a production environment"
    I'm not expecting to run the SAP NetWeaver Developer/Trail version you get with the subscription in a production environment - the question is would any prospective buyers of your developed add-ons be able to run these in their (fully licensed) NetWeaver / EP production environments?
    (I feel this FAQ is not answering its own question correctly).
    Purchasing a full EP license is a little out of my budget, and even the two developer subscriptions mentioned above are only available in Germany & the USA (and I reside in neither of which).
    Any suggestions from the guys & girls of the Coffee Corner?

    I am not a lawyer, but my interpretation of this is that the subscription systems are for "sneak previews" of releases and experimenting with the software to see whether you like it or not...
    So this means that if you do development work on it and want to use it in a production environment, you will need a full license to run the software productively first, and then add your development to that licensed landscape.
    This is a different topic to licensing your own development. For this you would need to become a solution partner and request your own namsepace in SAP, and then license it as optional software via service.sap.com.
    For the "little individual" like you and me, this is not really an option IMO.
    In some special cases, I have seen external coding included in the standard system, and you get a special mention for it sometimes in the coding comments.
    I was thinking about the same as well because I am busy experimenting with a tool for making dual maintenance of roles during upgrades easier and know a few customers who would be interested in such a tool (possibly controlled centrally by a SolMan CTS+ with after import rule sets).
    Being ABAP, I think I could try to sell it once or maybe twice... but after that I expect it would be "in the wild" and see others posting it here on SDN as well...
    On the otherhand, ABAP is more of a hobby for me and I am not a guru at it like many others here. If I were to post it here myself... then I could benefit from other contributions to improving it and making it more robust - like an open source project.

    Has anyone tried an after market MINI-DVI to HDMI adaptors to run a video signal from the iMac to a TV?

    I know Apple wants us to purchase their products...and in this case we'd have to purchase 2 adaptors/Cables (mini DVI to DVI & DVI to HDMI).....seems like a waste as each cable runs around $20 each when I could just easily buy one adaptor for $10 on monoprice.
    For what it's worth, monoprice.com is very reliable, has great prices, fast shipping and very nice products. I use them for all my cable, wire, adaptor needs (and no, i do not work for them either). I used to be very particular about my cables and would fork up tons of money buying monster cables be it of the xbox, home theatre, cable box, HDTV etc all to realise that a cable is a cable, they all pretty much spit out that same quality image or sound regardless. So check 'em out!

    Short ago I bought this adaptor to connect an iMac with my beamer (Mitsubishi HC 1100) and the outcome is - better than ever. Clearly you can say that one adapter is better than two. I can't believe that it took so long until this adaptor was developed. I had been looking for it already one year ago

  • I am in the market for a new HP Laptop.

    I am in the market for a new HP Laptop seeing as how my current one is starting to die out on me. I am looking for one that would last me at least 3 or more years like my current has and i kinda have one i like in mind at this link:

    So my my main question is going to be this: Does Best buy match prices or beat them out if i find the same model cheaper and with a mail in rebate on another retailer's website such as office depot?
    I am doing price comparisons right now, because i don't know how long my current HP Pavillion Entertainment PC will hold out. I have had it for 3 years and now my on board graphics chipset or the LCD Monitor one are starting to mess up on me and i had to replace the fan and battery almost 2 or 3 months ago and now this issue is popping up. It boots up with a green screen when i turn it on at the moment, but then after it has warmed up the screen clears back up like normal. So that is why i figured that it is about time for a newer model laptop and where my researching and price comparing will come in down the line.
    If you have any other laptop suggestions for me to at least look at please tell me. I want at least 750 GB or 1 TB HDD and an Intel Core i5 or I7 Processor in these suggestions too, because i do heavy duty Video Editing and Processing for my website and for Video Game Video Walkthroughs and need not only the best Processor it can handle, but for website backups and for the space doing Webcam video recordings can handle too.
    Thanks for any suggestions you may have and if the current one i have linked is worth my time in saving for please be so kind as if to let me know that as well. I don't care if it has a Touch Screen or not. But any suggestion for research is always welcome.

    The RAM of my HP Pavillion Dv4-2164us model is currently 4, but it is starting to boot up with a green screen when I first start it. So I am thinking about going with the J020 Envy which is a 17 Screen display or I might go for this:

    The only reason why I am not opting for the becoming popular SSD is the Price tag to get the amount of space I would need is still out of my price range if I got one included. I have to be realistic and on budget as much as I don't want to be.

    What Java's Problem Is:
    As far as I can see the only problem that java has these days is the client inconsistency s, this is due to Microsoft and there attempted destruction of the HUGE java language, and Microsoft has succeeded wonderfully thus far, which is sad. I feel it is only due to the way Sun markets Java, not that they have not tried but they are going about it the wrong way.
    Sun Feels They Are Being Oppressed:
    It seems to me that Sun has a feeling of being oppressed by Microsoft, they see the company inflicting standards on the computing world that are self centered and platform specific, this is why java was created, to break that mold and it does it wonderfully but java has not gained popularity because of marketing technique, no, it has gained popularity because it REALLY is what it is cracked up to be....A better way of doing things....
    That is why sun landed the title of being one the the most innovative company s today by the magazine �PC World� ranking 13th place while Microsoft landed 137th (i think).
    Yet with all this technology sun does not try to inflict it's standards on the PC world, well you might think what about all those court cases, for instance the most recent that suggests that Sun wants to FORCE Microsoft to install their JVM. I think stuff like this just slows Sun down, as we learned with previous cases Microsoft is just to big to fight and if you do manage to win it will be 3-4 years later. If you think about it time is money, why waste time? Trying to leach off of Microsoft is NOT the way to inflict standards, in fact it is one of the worst ways because by the time you would have won Microsoft would have bullied the java environment to it's grave (umm .net). So you may ask how do we enforce standards without the help of Microsoft, the answer is more simple than you may think yet for some reason it has not been thought of by Sun. So far this is what has brought Microsoft to the top.

    2.Enforced Standards, and Implementation
    3.Excellent Marketing
    4.Protected Software (Ideas)
    5.Industry Wide Support
    Innovation is not on this list, Microsoft does not have a innovative bone in it's body at the moment, it just buys technology that it needs, and has flashy GUI's, and a huge amount of support in the software industry. This is why according to the magazine �PC World� Microsoft ranks #137 in innovation while Sun sits at a satisfying ranking of #13.
    What this means is that Sun just is more innovative, it has technology out there that could be used but it can't because we have clients with Version 1.3 Java software on their PC's, Either that or Proprietary and NOT PLATFORM INDEPENDENT Microsoft JVM's which Microsoft will again start to distribute in 2004 on XP, this brings me to my first point, if we are going to have a platform independent language it needs to come from ONE POINT that will be implemented by all Manufactures (the W3C for instance). You may be thinking well how do you enforce the SUN JVM if Microsoft does not pack it with windows? The answer is you do what most new company s do and that is goto the PC Vendors. I would like to point out that Microsoft is for the most part ONLY a software company (aside from some of there PC products), but they do not build and distribute PC systems, thus Microsoft does not control what can go on a PC, I would like to point out the growing Linux threat to windows, more particularly the Linux based operating system (Lindows) recently lindows has acquired a deal with walmart to sell there operating system as a substitute to windows, this worked out phenominaly and right now walmart cannot seem to keep enough of the pc's on the shelves (since they cost only about 199$). Case point Linux has also grown enormously due to �Home Editions� of Linux (Red Hat). The first point I would like to make is that Sun should be PAYING vendors to install the SUN JVM over the Microsoft one, this takes care of a few of Sun's problems (Not as much industry support as Microsoft, and upgrading the JVM) all this can be done for a measly 5-6 million a year and will reach about 70% of the PC sector, in fact I am almost certain this is how Microsoft started out.

    Now if Sun locks 70% of the PC market that will already be a large boost for java, but the question is how to make the percentage grow to 100%... I would now like to point out the company Macromedia, macromedia products are phenominal, and have changed the way media is seen on the web, particularly the Flash product that macromedia sells, now at this moment macromedia has stated that >90% flash support exists on the web today and >70% is with the most current version of flash, as I see it in fact flash is one of the most universally supported pieces of software even more so than Microsoft, this is why you see flash movies on yahoo, cnet, amazon, and even MSN! So you may ask what made flash what it is today? Well as described before flash is supported and installed by PC vendors, and even if it is not you can barely go any place on the web with out getting a message stating that you should upgrade to the most current version of flash, this is due to the wide support on the web..... Now on the other hand if I run a java applet and the applet was compiled with some new features that were not supported in version 1.3 (Swing for example) we will get an error message stating that the package cannot be found and the applet will not run...You do not get any messages to upgrade, no window prompts, nothing..which brings me to my next point the java compiler should include the code (a pre JVM 1.3 version & Microsoft JVM compatible) that will prompt you to install the most current version of Java you already see default loaders for swing, a plug in check should also be included in all programs to ensure that you have to most recent version, and if you do not then it will send you to the Sun Website, or display a update manager or something. Getting an error saying that the applet packages are not found does not help the user any it only frustrates them, you have to physically provide a remedy to the problem at hand. This should also check to see if the Microsoft JVM is installed and if it is prompt to upgrade to the Sun JVM, this will pretty much destroy the use of the Microsoft JVM.
    This takes care of the enforcing standards part, braudens the Industry Wide Support, and protects the java environment, last but not least you need to promote the software, Java already does this excellently with web services, and other things but there are more consumers than businesses and Java should also be concentrating more on the excellent 3d support that they have, the networking features of java, ect. Take OpenOffice.org for instance the product has grown emmensly since it has started and much uses Java API's, you would see much growth in Java if you provided other products like Open Office for free, for instance a Quake Like Multi player game in Java 3D distributed on an open source environment, in applet form (since applets are exclusively a invention of Java), and then have a couple of servers set up that people can play for free on Sun's site, more networking app's for free, ect. You have to promote some of the more flashy features of Sun this way in order to see more growth and support and for free (learn from Linux which is quickly becoming a HUGE threat for Microsoft) if sun is making 13 billion a year I see no problem to them sporting a couple of servers with some USEFUL online apps/games/ect that sport how innovative java really is, and if they really need to they can have all the banners on stuff like the online games, take Http://www.runescape.com that sports an average of 10,000 users at any moment using the cross platform Java 3d API and they do it for free! All open source free products should be on Suns website, it shows how strong of a community Sun really is, instead of having it on some other website like www.openoffice.org that only sports Sun's name maybe a few times you might occasionally see a logo.. it would be better to maybe get open office from an address like www.openoffice.sun.com, maybe try a www.games.sun.com address or a www.apps.sun.com and then advertise the stuff that can be found at the Sun website. You see Microsoft doing it with the .net platform and other utility s all the time on places like MSN I don't see why Sun does not make the same initcative and better yet have it open source. Open source software simply �matures� quicker than regular software, Sun should be proud to be part of open source, it is the only thing Microsoft can't buy....

    And now your question is "How should my ideas be marketed?" Well unfortunately ideas, even if they are unique and original, are a dime a dozen. And they are mostly drowned out by propaganda, sometimes in the guise of ideas itself.
    If you really want to propagate your ideas, then you need to follow ashkelon's advice. My eyes glazed over almost instantly when I ran into 40-line paragraphs. Find somebody who writes well and ask them for their help. (Those people are often called "editors" when they are at work.)
    Next, where should you try to send your ideas? I can tell you that vice presidents of marketing respond negatively when people come out of nowhere and tell them "You are doing your job wrong, here's what you should be doing." No matter whether what you say is true or not, that's just human nature to get all defensive when that happens. You could try to get an article like what you posted there published in one of the industry magazines that covers topics like that; but to do that you would definitely need an editor. (You might even get paid for the article, too.)

    I'm working on CRM request for proposals in France and I have more and more often one business requirement coming from the customers.
    They often asks to generates outbound campaigns for event that they organize. It could be Sales event, Marketing events, Training sessions etc... ?
    So, for that, they are doing target groups, generating outbound campaigns and have to manage customer feedback and booking if customer accepts. For some customers, it could also generates one billing flow once the customer has booked his participation.
    Do you have any idea on how to handle that in SAP CRM as much easy as possible, how to easily follow-up registrations and use reports on that ?
    Do you know if part of this process could be managed thru RDS ?

    Hi, as plain text editor is a poor formatting editor, we want to use HTML code not only for email marketing output, but also for printing. (if not, how can we use tables, checkboxes, etc. in plain text format?)
    How can we use HTML to print marketing mail forms? (if we send html code to printer, no "rendering" is done and html tags are also printed).

  • Get error when preview marketing documents by using crystal report layout

    Hi experts,
    I want to switch to using Crystal Report for marketing documents layout.  I have import Sales Quotation u2013 Generic (CR) layout which provided by XX-1.2.b1p package. I can preview added records but it doesn't work on drafting documents and saved drafts. The system prompt u201CThe system cannot find the path specifiedu201D and u201CObject reference not set to an instance of an objectu201D. On the same server, it was working fine in our other company database. I don't think this is the problem of database location setting in Crystal Report.  Can anyone give me advices, thanks!

    Thank you for your reply first. Your method doesn't work in my case.  Can you tell me the steps of creating a new layout for added records and draft documents.  I have created a quotation layout which work with added records only, the steps has been show below and please comments, thanks.
    1. In Crystal Report > new blank report > create new connection > Choose "SAP Business One" > Select OQUT under "B1 Tables".
    2. Insert "CardName" field to report > Create DocKey@ parameter and  set it equal to DocEntry in select expert record function
    3. Click Add-ins > SAP Business One > Save > Choose company database and input manager password.
