Marking document as 'Draft' version with signatures

Is there any way of marking a document as ‘Draft’ until all signatures have been acquired? I am working with Acrobat 9 Standard. Most of my documents require between 2 and 5 signatures. Until accepted by all signees, the document is considered ‘Draft’. I have tried using both Watermarks, and Backgrounds, but these cannot be changed in version 9 once a signature has been applied.

In my issue, the editor only save content to UCM by click checkin button. When he(she) check-in, this content will be putted into workflow and after that he(she) can't do anything with this content (checkout, update...) . If he(she) try to checkout or update, will receive a Error message like that "Content Server Request Failed - Unable to build update form for 'UCMSERVER56000023'. Content item is part of workflow Tindiaphuong..."

Created a 150 page document on one computer with Pages 09 and saved to the desktop. Put onto a flash drive and transferred to another computer. Opened it with Pages 09, made modifications, and saved back onto the flash drive. Transferred document to original computer, overwrote original file, and now all the graphics in the document have been replaced with boxes with a question mark inside it. Went back to the document on the flash drive, it is the same way. Opened the document on the "other" computer and it is the same way. Have searched Support and the User Guide to find an answer and cannot. This is a dissertation that has to mailed out like now. How do we fix?

I am just an end user like you so I don't know why. I have not heard about this problem before or I might have when people have tried just save on a server instead of their own computer. The person that just opened the document from the USB stick and saved back on should have first transferred the document to his/hers computer, then worked on it and saved it and THEN copy it over to the stick.
Use CDs instead for transferring files or emails. That is much safer.
Another thing some people has to learn it the hard way!

Support for multiple pdf document with signature

I have a question about signatures.
Does the PDF specification support the combination of multiple pdf documents into one pdf document with the following constraint:
- each individual pdf document has been signed (by an X.509 certificate),
- the individual documents can come from different sources, so they have to be 'included' or merged into the final pdf,
- the final pdf document should not change the signatures of the individual documents.
So each part of the document should maintain the integrity of the individual components and the signature of the individual comnponents are still valid.
Does the pdf specification support this feature?

What you want is called a PDF Package (or Portable Collection in the PDFRef) and is new in PDF 1.7. You can try it out with Acrobat 8.

When on initial time when there is no dicument exist BAPI creating new document correctly with attached files. also i am able to create a new version of that document if i am excuting applicatin from my PC. if this appication run from another system to generate new version BAPI is giving me Error.

It sounds like you have downloaded iTunes from the download site, but when you connect the phone to your computer you are prompted to update iTunes to 11.1. I would start by opening iTunes and then verifying the version that is running with this article:

On Windows
Open iTunes.
On the Help menu, click About iTunes. A window appears with scrolling text. The first text that appears displays the iTunes version (press the Space bar to freeze the text if it's moving too fast for you to read).
Also when you download the iTunes installer, you MUST double click the file that was downloaded to install it.
You can check in your Programs folder and try running the iTunes application from there to see if that works.

Policies and Watermarks on docs with Signatures

Is there a way to add a watermark to a document that contains electronic signatures. Unless I am doing something wrong, I get an error message saying something to the effect that, "encryptUsingPolicy: Cannot encrypt a signed PDF -- (error code bin: 777, hex: 0x309) -- (error code bin: 777, hex: 0x309)".
Whether the document is signed or unsigned, I get the same error. The business case is such that if it is an electronically signed document, then anytime the print function is called, it should put a "COPY" watermark on the document to indicate that the printed version is NOT the original. Unfortunately, there is one caveat to this rule....there is one special group of people who have the right to make an electronic document become a paper original by printing it out and destroying the electronic version. In this case, we would NOT want the COPY watermark to appear on the document when printed. I was thinking that a policy might solve the business requirements by adding the COPY policy to the document. Then, if that special groups wants to print it, remove that policy. But, I can't seem to add this policy to a signature-based document.....
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

There might be some holes in the business case or my understanding of it (but without knowing all the details this is only an observation) .... Not sure what the differentiator between the electronic and printed version is .... that is in essence they are both just copies after it has been digitally signed. I realize that the online version can detect any changes made after the signature and show a change in status since signed where as someone could just use a tool to duplicate (whatever the document is and is meant to represent) the document and print out a fake. But even with a non-electronic solution and a wet ink signature at some point you need to trust a paper copy as being an original. So if they are not using some sort of embossing stamp on paper copies why the need to specifically stamp it 'copy'? If they are using an embossing stamp to represent an original then could you not just watermark the electronic right from the start and hence any printed version will contain the word 'copy' and any original hardcopy is requested from the issuer and has the embossing stamp?
That observation aside, based on what is in the original post you could do a
few things each with potential challenges depending on the software and architecture you have...
1) Code on the form
If the assumption that once this document is signed it becomes official holds valid; then this will work because if not signed then clicking print will trigger the watermark. In this case, as soon as you sign it you will not get the watermark when printed, but of course you can print as many copies as you like.
To do this put code on the pre-print event that will turn a hidden read-only field (containing the "COPY" watermark) visible. This way when viewing online it is never watermarked and when viewing the printed copy it is always watermarked (you can put code behind the PrePrint event of the top level node in your form that will make a field's presence visible. That field at design time would have no caption / set to readOnly / have the default value by what you want the watermark to say / have its presence set to hidden and then you would just use code like <fieldname>.presence = "visible".
2) Using Policies
Use two policies (because the dynamic watermark is based on a policy and cannot be assigned based on user/group in one policy)
a) So you will be sure to policy protect the document prior to signing with one of the policies (assume the “user-watermarked”). The challenge here is that the individuals who approve will also need the ability to switch the policy (policy set admin permission) so they can use the Rights Management end-user web interface to switch to the “approver – nonwatermarked” policy and do whatever it is that makes it an original and then switch back to the "user-watermarked" policy.
Note: What if while the policy is switched the regular user wants access and now can't get it or that the approved user even remembers to switch the policy back. Another options is…
b) Automate it based on the full requirements == something like
                i.     Capture who is authenticating to an automated LC Process.
               ii.     If it is a regular user then the process grabs the already completed/signed and protected PDF from a repository and records the licenseId of the protected documenet while passing the doc back to the user.
             iii.     It is also possible that if in the future an approver is requested to generate a valid printed copy then when they authenticate it grabs the (user-watermarked) protected/signed PDF from the repository and switches the policy to the approver-nonwatermarked policy and passes that doc back to the approver who can print the document.
               iv.     It is also possible that you could do a bunch of other things such as
                            i.   Auto switch back the policy to the user-watermarked after the approver prints by capturing the print event
                           ii.   Instead of above you could make printing part of the process if the approver doesn’t actually modify and resign the document. That is get the protected/signed doc from repository > switch the policy > send to a printer > switch the policy back.
                         iii.   If for some reason the approver actually has to make changes to the document then although protected with the same policy you now have two documents. the one originally sent to the user and the one the approver wants to change and print as an original. In this case you could have that same process retrieve the licenseId of the original policy protected document distributed to the user and revoke it.
Hope those ideas will help you take your detailed understanding of the use case and apply some or all of the suggestions.

SharePoint 2013 cannot view PDF documents in mobile browser with office web apps

I'm receiving the following error when viewing SharePoint 2013 PDF documents in a mobile browser after clicking on the filename:
"Viewing of .pdf files has been disabled in Microsoft Word Mobile Viewer. Please get in touch with your helpdesk."
My Question
Is viewing PDF documents in mobile browsers with Office Web Apps SP1 actually supported? If so, how can I enable it? I've already have pdf viewing working in non-mobile browsers. Word documents open just fine on mobile browsers too.

What I've tried
When I started looking into this there was a mobile WOPI entry:

I tried experimenting with tweaking this binding by changing the DefaultAction to true, and even removing it altogether via:
Get-SPWopiBinding -Action "MobileView" -Application "WordPDF" | Remove-SPWopiBinding -Confirm:$false
But I still get the same message.
I removed all the WordPdf bindings and re-added them via:
New-SPWOPIBinding –ServerName "<myserver>" –Application "WordPDF" -AllowHTTP
No dice. In fact the mobileview binding doesn't even come back... but I guess that is a different issue altogether.

I think the PDF support, if it exists, in only in Office 365. Always remember that the Office 365 and on premises versions will never be in sync. On premise is updated using periodic service packs and Office 365 has continuous updates. (I've heard every
10 days.)
In my Office 365 / IE 10 tests, the PDFs open in the browser's default PDF viewer, in my case FoxIt Reader. So I can't prove one way or the other about support in Office Web Apps.

Created a statis pdf witha digital signature field in Adobe Livecycle designer, also tried in Acrobat PRO, saved as a PDF, when opening the file under Adobe Reader X or Adobe Reader 8 get sam eissue adobe reader will not allow the signature or document ot be changed, get a warning that saya "document setting prevent placing a signature using Adobe Reader"
Sorry I am new to Adobe, what does Reader want, I do not have this issue when I open the file under Acrobat PRO or Livecycle.

The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

Actually it is opening in Acrobat Reader and file is on my desktop too, but still it is not opening.

When we want to update/revise the document, is there a method, using Acrobat, to make those updates to the pdf, or must we go back to the doc template and basically generate a new document?
Also, our resulting pdf documents aren't searchable. How can we generate pdf documents that are searchable? I may want to search for a part value or name within the body of these pdf documents, but currently can't do that...very inconvenient.

Not totally sure about the search issue. A lot depends on how you created the PDF and what is in the datasheets you attached (like are they graphics?). The doc portion should be searchable as long as you used print to the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker. For your use, it may be that the print is adequate. However, the result should be searchable (unless maybe you had a form with filled in fields and created the PDF with PDF Maker. I think the form data may be retained in form fields and the fields are not searchable. In that case, a print might be a better procedure. (it would help to know the versions of WORD and Acrobat as well as the exact process you used to create the PDF.)
If the appended data sheets do not change, then you might try opening the original PDF and then using Replace Pages to replace the file created from the DOC file.

Document/literal style wsdl with more than one port

Recently I have changed wsdl style from rpc/encoded to document/literal as BPEL does not handle soapenc:arrayType. The wsdl contains 2 operations and few complex type definitions.
In BPEL Designer I have created a process that invokes all operations defined in the wsdl, but only one of them will have some data in the response message and the other one will have an empty message. On the other hand, when I use stub generation to invoke Web Service everything is working fine.
If I provide separate wsdl for each operation (in BPEL process I would have two partnerLinks instead of one) than it works fine.
Does this mean that BPEL does not handle document/literal style endpoints with more than one port (operation)?
I have tested this with the orabpel_2.0_J1_win32.exe and orabpel_2.0rc9_win32.exe. Web Services, used for this test, are deployed in Jboss 3.2.3 and axis-1_2beta3.

We definitely support the ability to call a web service that exposes two operations (document/literal or not).
Glancing through your WSDL, it looks good.
Could you please try to tunnel the second request and see 1) what data is sent to the service and 2) what data is returned by the service?
Can you please email us a reproduceable case so that we can help troubleshoot in parallel?
