Marquee "ghosts" when moved in CS6
Basically this happpens in CS6 when using the Marquee tool and moving the marquee with the arrow keys or dragging inside the marquee. Does not repeat in CS4.
About the only way to make it go away is to reduce cache levels in Preferences > Performance to 1 which is a problem in itself. Refreshing the screen (toggling the Tab key) makes the ghost marks go away but they reappear when moving the marquee. Changing Tile Size does not do anything.
My graphics card is integrated,so aside from buying a new laptop,my options are limited.
Maybe a Adobe employee can look at it and see if they can do anything from their side or
suggest a prefs adjustment.

If it helps further with understanding, at one point in the development of my OpenGL-based plug-ins I found that the (perfectly good and well-documented) approach I had in the software for managing the OpenGL context was completely impossible to use with Intel's display driver (as it turns out I was testing on a 965 GMA in a Macbook). I had to restructure the software to manage the context in one and only one thread, which we had thought early on we may have to do, and so structured the software to make it possible. I did get the software working, but I received several complaints of display failures from Intel users during beta testing. Like Photoshop, we also have a "software rendering" setting that uses the CPU only, and that's what those users ended up having to use.
As Intel has been progressing with GPU development - even to to the point of now providing integrated GPUs in their newer processor chips - I do hope they've cleaned up their software. But I don't think that will help people like you much, since between Intel and the laptop makers, they don't seem to be supporting the older existing hardware very well.

As title says, when I open Photoshop CS6 and simple make a new layer and either use the type tool, it appears to be a little Sluggish/Jerky when moving the layer around.. The same applies when resizing photoshop itself.
I'm updated to the latest version of CS6 and have tried all the combinations in the 'Performance' section of Photoshop.
My Macbook Pro Retina is the 3.4ghz 650m and 8GB RAM offering (OS Mavericks). It's really annoying me as even my old laptop could run it smoothly and that was an i5 and much lower-end graphics card.
The only way I can really describe it (and i'm no tech professional) is when comparing it to silky smooth 60 fps, it looks like it's skipping frames and in term looking 'jerky'. I also use Illustrator and don't really witness the same problem with it.
I know this may have been asked quite a bit.. But I've never found the solution.. Could anybody advise me on what it potentially could be down too? (Might I add the laptop has just had a fresh install of the OS and a fresh copy of CS6)You could check through the GPU FAQ for anything you might have missed
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-gpu-faq.html
You say you have tried all settings in Performance, but I wonder what your cache levels are set at? If more than 1, then OK.
There's the general performance FAQ (no doubt lots of overlap)
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-performance-photoshop-cs4-cs5.html
Is this with all image docs, or particular ones? For instance I have been playing with using ACR to process 32bit HDR files, and it puts a huge load on the system. -
Make positive vertical position change = UP when moving object? CS6
When moving an object, entering a positive value for vertical position sends objects DOWN. How do I reverse this such that entering a positive value will move objects UP?Thanks.
What about the suggestion in the first post in this thread, Reasoner?
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3859580#3859580?tstart=30#3859580
It is more work than using a script (was linked to in post #4 in the other thread).
We may have to ask Carlos to make a new script that works in CS6 (and in CS7 and CS8 and so on).
Carlos, what say you? -
Captured video using Premiere Pro CC on MAC, wont import when moved to Premiere Pro CS6
Using a Captured video on Premiere Pro CC on my Macbook air, my video wont import when moved to Premiere Pro CS6 when i try to edit it on a pc (Windows 7)
When I try to import the file into CS6 it says *error while decompressing file*
If anyone has any idea what could have happened or what I might have done wrong please reply.
Josephmojo,
Do you have QuickTime and the associated codecs installed in your PC?
Thanks,

Dreamweaver cs6 does not update links when moving files.
Dreamweaver cs6 does not update links when moving files. I've tried changing my general > settings for "Update links when moving files" to "prompt", and Ive tried "always". Neither work for me. The files are moved fine, but the links don't change. When it's set to "prompt" - I'm never prompted. Is this a bug or is there another setting somewhere?

I haven't define a site. I've opened an index.htm file within a folder structure that I have on my MAC. When I moved a file called art.htm (within the files tab) from a subfolder into the root folder with the index.htm file, it didn't update the image links in art.htm.
In order for DW to manage links, you absolutely MUST Define a Site...

Also, you MUST use the Files tab within DW to move files around within your Defined Site in order for DW to know it needs to update links. -
Photoshop cs6 crashes when moving dialogs and windows
So recently, Photoshop has started randomly crashing when moving dialogs around or onto 2nd monitor. The files I have open are not large, so I am looking to understand why this is happening. has anyone else experienced this with their application?
ThanksIt might be helpful if you'd go into your Windows Event Logs (specifically, the Application log) and look for the Error event indicating a Photoshop crash. It may identify a module that will help narrow down the problem - though I suspect it will show a crash in the printer driver. Copy the text and list it here.

Slow performance when moving bunch of vector shapes
Hi there,
Photoshop CS6 Beta is soo slow in comparison to Photoshop CS5 when moving lots of vector layers. Check the videoa below please:
CS6 - http://screencast.com/t/wBOzhTySdSf
CS5 - http://screencast.com/t/ab7BDbgNxUYe
- GPU Settings Enabled in both
- GeForce GTX 560, latest drivers
- i7 3,4 GHz, 16GB RAM
Why CS6 is so slow in this situation?
EDIT: I found the Problem comes form the Layer Palete. Take a look how changing the tabs form Layers to Channels affect the moving performance : http://screencast.com/t/Gi01o1GzFPzJ
This have to be fixed, as in more complex files this will be huge problem..
Regards,
SKHi,
Nothing peculiar at all. Normal text laters.
Each field have subgroups with info - http://screencast.com/t/ykon4QwdBxC Overall lots of layers there, but in CS5 no problem to move them.
Still can't understand why I can move all of these better when layer palete is not displayed.
Test file - https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0phn6xiF-cobkc3cUViM0dSV3ktYk5Vbm5Bci1TUQ
Please test it on CS5 (you will notice how smooth it is) and CS6 on both try to switch between layers palete and channels palete and try to move to see the difference. Move whole group named "Form",
Please let me know if I can help with something else to define the problem.
/I'm using Windows 7 x64, Photoshop CS6 beta x64/
Thank you!
Regards,
SK

Strange thing when moving files
Since upgrading to lion have had no problems but today a really strange thing happened when moving a file by drag and drop to a usb stick.
Dragged and dropped the file no problem then dropped the stick to unmount it.
Removed the stick ok, then when looking at the desktop the stick was still there and the file was still over the stick.
The only way i could get rid of these ghost files was to reboot.
It happened everytime i did this
Any idea what maybe happening.
I tried to drag and drop the ghost files in the bin but they would not moveHi,
this sounds like a customer support case. I am not sure this can be solved on the forum unless some other users have the same problem and know how to work around it. If this is due to a platform bug then the only solution is customer support to get this fixed.

Authenication needed when moving or saving files to a folder
I've been online searching but can't find a resolution to disabling having to authenticate when moving or saving files to any folder.
I read something about using Terminal and tried the suggestion which was typing in
sudo chawn -R yourshortname . Then putting in my password when prompted. It either will not type my password or not accept it.
Can anyone help? ThanksYou can't disable or correct it with that command. See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1216618 for more information.

Mid 2010 macbook pro freezes and restarts when moved.
My macbook pro crashes daily and sometimes I have to keep turning it on for about 5 minutes because it doesn't start up it just beeps. once it starts up it tends to crash when moved even slightly. I have the crash reports and I'm hoping someone can help me. This problem started to occur once I upgraded to mountain lion and I dont know if the problem has to do something with mountain lion or if it's just coincidence. I searched around on the web and think that maybe it is my logic board. Thank you in advance.

This can be a mechanical issue: a loose connector, broken wire or cracked logic board that causes power from the battery to be interrupted when the Mac is jostled. Unless damage is grossly evident, tracking down the exact point of failure is an exasperating Sherlockian exercise. -
Flex app doesn't work when moved from original location
I'm trying to make an image gallery in flex. It works when I run it in Flex Builder perfectly fine. The html and swf files from the bin-debug folder work perfectly fine when opened in any browser also, but ONLY when those files and all related files are opened from the default location that the application was built in. When I export a build to a different folder, the swf loads but none of the information from the xml file displays. I tried setting all of the paths of the reference files (namely the xml) in the flex app to the exact absolute location on the server, and it still didn't work when I uploaded it to the server.
I've tried several approaches starting from scratch and they have all come up with the same issue. I'm working with an educational license for Flex Builder, I'm not sure if they jip you on those and ruin the compiled swf.
Please help! I'm losing my mind over this.I think it has to do with something else besides the code since it works fine when I hit "Run", but if anyone thinks it will help to post the code let me know.when you build an application using one of the wizards (like coldfusion flex application wizard) it hard codes
paths to cold fusion CFC's, and sometimes gets it wrong.
If your application references cfc's (or other remote objects) then it may be necessary to adjust the flex code
when moving the code into a different base folder.
For example in my own application, the url is http://localhost/crm_dev_flex and the built application gets put into
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\crm_dev_flex\bin-debug
References in the code to components found in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\crm_dev_flex\bin-debug\components\cfgenerated
(in the flex code these looks like crm_dev_flex.bin-debug.components.cfgenerated.<mycomponent> )
These need to change when you move the code to somewhere else.
Also, if you are using wizard generated cfc's then these also contain similar references that need to be changed.
IHTH.

Follow up on: Topic : iBook G4 800 MHz freezes when moved or bumped lightly
Last year I posted the following message, which has been fixed. Summary of repair at bottom of post:
Original message posted Aug 4, 2007:
"For the past several months my iBook G4 has been freezing when moved or bumped lightly. It has also occasionally done some strange things at startup. It sometimes will show just a grey screen and sit there. Sometimes the screen will do some sort of fade transition across the screen, going bright in a wave accros the screen and then to black and then nothing. Sometimes there will be vertical lines in the middle of the right side of the screen of various colors. And the last significant occurance is the occassional static in the display. These video symptoms always occur at startup. If the computer starts up to the desktop it will only freeze if moved or bumped lightly. The cursor sometimes can still be moved after the computer freezes.
I have done the following:
Clean install of OS (Tiger 10.4) with all updates and tested before updating. If have done this before and after wiping the drive clean.
I have removed the extra RAM, reseated the RAM, removed the Airport Extreme card, reseated the Airport Extreme card. I have chaged out the hard drive. I have also disassembled most of the computer to check for any other loose components. The only discrepency I have found was a crimped microphone wire, that is slightly damaged. The screen was replaced a few months after purchase when it had a close encounter with a hot wheel car of my son's. The computer is currently a little over three and a half years old.
I work on computers for a living, specialize in Macs, and have been using Macs since 1986. I am stumped. Can someone please shed some light on this issue by providing a different point of view than my own. Sometimes we need an outside perspective to solve some problems.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide."
Solution provided by Apple:
I took the laptop to the Apple Store and sent it in for the flat rate repair, which was a little over $300. They had to replace the motherboard and some of the cable. The bad motherboard was causing video issues, freezing and startup difficulties. The bad cables were causing the freezing when the unit was moved. The laptop has performed exceptionally well since the repair and is still in use. Hope this helps other people out there. As a guess it suggests to me that the leads on U28 need to be reflowed.

I have an iPad 2 and receive e-mail through regular internet connection. Lately, when I delete e-mails, and clear my Trash folder, they re-appear, downloaded anew from the server and marked as unread. My e-mail Advanced Settings are selected for "Remove from server when moved from Inbox." Even when I access the e-mail accountfrom my desktop and delete the e-mails, the re-appear on my iPad. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what I can do to actually delete them?
Sounds like you are looking in the wrong Administrative Group container which is why you are seeing your Exchange 2010 servers in there.
When you install Exchange 2003 only you will see a container named by default as "CN=First Administrative Group" container. But this could be named anything if you changed the Organization Name on the installation when you installed the first
Exchange 2003 server into the domain/forest.
You will notice that when you install Exchange 2010 part of the AD setup is to create a new configuration container and is named by default "CN=First Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)".
So it sounds like you are not looking in the right location within ADSIEdit.
You may find the following article also helpful for this issue which is the same resolution:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2012/05/17/empty-cn-servers-container-causing-issues-with-public-folders-on-small-business-server-2011.aspx
I recommend though that you ensure your Exchange 2003 servers are fully uninstalled or no longer present in your environment before you go deleting the Servers container though.. The following Microsoft article will help with this:

Is there a way to remove the size and position readout when moving Lines in Keynote?
When moving the endpoints of lines while creating a presentation, a size and position readout appears on the screen. This obscures details below it, often making it difficult to precisely position a line. Is there a way of disabling this? The option in Preferences for disabling this readout for objects does not work for lines. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
