Mars 6.1.2 custom parser error

Hello!
I have Cisco MARS 55 v. 6.1.2 (3466) 39.
I'm trying to import custom parser fo Radware. I've already done it with older version of MARS (6.0.X) and everything was ok.
But now I've getting "error processing package improt".
What can be the reason for this error?
Nick.

I've trying to ipmport others custom pasers from this forum, getting
the same problem.

  • Parsing error IIS logs + cisco mars

Hello everyone. Have a problem configuring event logging from IIS server to MARS. All the configuration was done with the help of the cisco's guide:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/device/configuration/guide/cfgWebSv.html#wp1055969
Epilog from Snare was installed and configured. It collects events from log files of IIS normally as I can see it from the "latest events" screen in Epilog.
After checking this server's response in MARS I found out that MARS gets the events, but they are not recognized. The event type of messages is "Unknown Device Event Type" and the text of raw messages looks like this:
    "Parsing error or event type unknown: <13>Apr 16 08:31:10 krr-sps50.europe.mittalco.com IISWebLog[0]:2013-04-16 05:30:58 139.53.2.30 POST /_vti_bin/webs.asmx - 443 EUROPE\aasoroka 10.21.29.85 Microsoft+Office/12.0+(Windows+NT+6.1;+Microsoft+Office+Excel+12.0.6662;+Pro) 200 0 0 15"
Can anyone help me with my problem, cause I don't have no more ideas what can be wrong. Thanks.

    Hello Folks,
The error msg occurs when a Cisco device receives a Radius VSA that is not cisco. VSA 311 belongs to Microsoft so it might be that you are indeed not using a Cisco radius VSA. The error is not harmful.
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc958030.aspx
    RADIUS: Attribute length = 12 (0xC)
    RADIUS: Vendor ID = 311 (0x137)<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    RADIUS: Vendor string = _
The way to stop seeing the error messages depend on the Cisco device in which you are seeing it, in nexus it is "Logging level user 2".
    I hope it helps.

  • Parsing error in custom report

I have created a custom Oracle report. When I change the output to XML and try to view the output, I get the following error:
    XML Parsing Error: syntax error
    Location: http://kntestweb.xxxxxxxx.com:8002/OA_CGI/FNDWRR.exe?temp_id=2306817472
    Line Number 1, Column 31:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="&Encoding"?>
Do I have to set this 'encoding' attribute in my Oracle report program? If so, how do I do that?

I am not familiar with prolog. Can you give me an example of what I would need to add to the Oracle report? Is this what is used in the standard Oracle reports that come with the e-business suite - these reports work correctly when we change the output to XML.

  • Custom parser difficulties.

I am trying to parse a Windows 2008 '4624' event log entry as a proof-of-concept before parsing other high-priority Windows Server 2008 events.
I have created a 'parser' which will work flawlessly when using the 'test' feature within Mars 6.x.
However I am unable to get this 'parser' to interpret incoming events from the server.
    * Events are being forwarded from the server using snare.
    * Copying the  event from 'Event raw messages' report output (where "Parsing error or event type unknown:" has been pre-pended to the message)
and pasting directly into the parser test screen, the message will be successfully parsed by the test parser.
    * I have configured the device as a 'windows-generic' device but have NOT configured the MARS to receive OR pull logs from the device - hence, the only software configured on the device is the custome framework I have created.
Anyone any thoughts or have I missed something very simple?
    Kind regards
    Colm

    Hi,
    try:
    1. To create a new one device type (as example win2008 generic).
    2. Create a new device event type (add to this NEW event type).
    3. Then create parser's patterns.
    4. Then create new device (selest OS Windows --->>> Receive events ), go to tab Reporting applications and add a new one created device type (as example Win 2008 generic)
    5. Thats all.
P.S In snare please enable syslog header. Thats all.
    Kind regards,
    Nick

SharePoint 2013 in a single instance out-of-the-box. Didn't install custom iFilters as 2013 supports zip. No other extensions have this issue. Range in file size from 60-90MB per zip. They contain mp3 files. I can download and unzip the file as needed.
Should I care that the index isn't being populated with these items since they contain no metadata? I am thinking I should just omit these from the crawl.

This issue came back up for me as my results aren't displaying since this data is not part of the search index.
Curious if anyone knows of a way to increase the parser server memory in SharePoint 2013 search?

I am getting the same error even in Acrobat version 8.1.3.
Additionally, I noticed that if we click on menu ‘Advanced->Sign&Certify->Preview Document’, then we get a notification as “This document is not PDF/SigQ compliant and may display inconsistently”. On clicking  ‘View report’ on that notification, the below dialog pops up. It has errors listed as:-
Code 4000 : Unrecognized PDF content. The document contains PDF content or custom content not supported by the current version of Acrobat.
Code 4002: PDF content contains erros.
However, if we sign the PDF using default adobe signature functionality and reopen that PDF, the error does NOT come and the notification also says ‘This document is PDF/SigQ compliant’.
Can anybody please suggest what could be missing in the custom sign that we apply? Is it because of any of the missing fonts or any other resources?
    Awaiting reply!
    Regards.

I am getting the parsing error while defining the object when using the custom SQL as
select decode(matteraction, null, decode(matterissue, null,'MATTER','ISSUE'),decode(matterissue, null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019)) as TYPE from wh_cf_cmsu
The object Type is "character", i have tried with Long Text, Number, Date as well and the same sql works fine by returning String values through TOAD.
Do we have any constrains in using DECODE in BO XI R3 or any other syntax please....
Please guide me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Karthik.

    Hi,
1.At back end check the data type for matteraction column and define it accordingly in object definition.
    2. Try to break your select clause definition into smaller parts and check it where the exact issue is  as below
    i.select decode(matterissue,null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019) ............
    ii.select decode(matteraction,null,decode(matterissue,null,'MATTER','ISSUE') ..........
    iii.select decode(matteraction,null,decode(matterissue,null,'MATTER','ISSUE'),decode(matterissue,null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019)) as TYPE from wh_cf_cmsu

  • XML Error [4]: parse error in all the IP Phones

    Hi All,
While clicking on the Global Directory we are getting "XML Error [4]: Parse error " on the Cisco IP phone display,Global directory is pointed to the external server located in Same location .The issue started one week back .
I have attached the Wireshork output of the Phone ..
    Regards,
    Nishad KI

    Great catch Aaron
To aid with your trouble shooting an example of one of the requests that is failing is:
    http://10.106.32.64/CiscoIPServices/multidirectory/multidirectory.asp?id=4&action=list&l=a&f=a
From the URL a first name of 'a' and a last name of 'a' was entered, did something change recently that would affect this custom service?
I would assume this directory service queries LDAP/AD, you might want to check the user account it uses is still valid and have a look at the windows event logs on 10.106.32.64 for any hints.
Note: A restart of IIS on the directory application server might help to resolve this
    Thanks
    Stephen

  • How to Resolve Parse Errors in Universe

    Dear All,
Integration of Business objects with SAP BI Solutions have opened up a large visibility for the customers in viewing their organizational data in several forms. Thanks to the Integration kit for SAP Solutions.
    Coming to my problem.
We have created a universe on top of BI Query which was having all the charecteristics and Keyfigures of the multiprovider. Though it is not the suggested best practice, our customer wants to go with this approach in order to keep the minimal universe count.
In some of the situvations the changes made to the query is causing Parsing errors in the universe.
Let me explain with an example.
We have created a universe for Service Level Orders on top of a BI Query which has around 100 charecteristics and 100keyfigures. Later I have added 2 charecteristics and changed the description of one field. Sales order item(0ORD_ITEMS) to No.of Order items. After refreshing the universe I got the mentioned changes in the universe. But when I checked the integrity of that universe it has thrown 250 errors. saying Parse Failed.
The same case I have faced when removing an object from query.
Can anyone guide me on how to correct these parse errors. I mean How to trace the universe. A step by step process will be highly appreciated.
We are using Windows, BOXI 3.1
Below is the Error message I am getting while doing the Parsing.
    http://www.mediafire.com/?mktd0xx1ktz
    Thanks and Best Regards

    Dear Ingo,
Thanks for your quick response. I tried creating a new universe, for the first time The parse was successful for all the fields, After adding a field to the query, the Parse has failed for many fields with the same error.
You said the error is indicating issues on BW side, Can you please let me know, what are all the issues cause this error in BW side.
More over the interesting part is, if I change the properties of the parse failed characteristic to "Delegate search", Parsing is showing as OK.
This is the problem we have been facing for most of the universes; Due to our requirements we need to change the query frequently and the same should be reflected in universe. Due to this error, we are unable to go forward.
If we create a new universe with the same name(Overwriting on the existing one), The reports which are existing on the universe are not working.
Please suggest me how can we trace this problem
    Thanks and Best Regards

  • Parse errors on php page...

I am new to php and am trying to create a php form on a website I am building for a friend. The form looks like I want it to on the page.
    http://www.mosaleen.com/order.html
It also works... sending the info to my email upon submit and redirecting me to the "Thank you for your order page".
The code to make the form function actually rests on the thank you page... I am attaching the code below.
    http://www.mosaleen.com/Order.php
Problem is that when I validate the php page it tells me that there are parsing errors. Specifically:
    Unable to determine parse mode
Line 1, Column 1:character "Y" not allowed in prolog
    AND
Line 1, Column 85:end of document in prolog
Does anyone know where the problem is? I have checked my css sheets and they are validating just fine, so there shouldn't be any issue there. The php script was adapted from the one at  http://dreamweaverspot.com/adobe-dreamweaver-tutorial-contact-forms/ if that helps.
    <?php
    $my_email = "[email protected]";
    $continue = "thankyou.html";
    $errors = array();
    // Remove $_COOKIE elements from $_REQUEST.
    if(count($_COOKIE)){foreach(array_keys($_COOKIE) as $value){unset($_REQUEST[$value]);}}

I have changed the code to where the php form section is within the html of the page I created. (posted below)
    http://www.mosaleen.com/order_thanks.php
This option gets rid of the parsing error but creates 16 errors in code when validated. It still looks right and still emails correctly.
Is there a tutorial somewhere... or a simpler php code that would submit this form to email? It doesn't need to be fancy.  Or... if one of these options work, which one should I work with.
Or... does it really matter that I am having the parsing error since the code looks right and is working? Not that it is clean design to leave it that way...
I think the problem lies in trying to insert the php coding ( that submits the form to email ) inside the thank you page... but Im not sure how else to handle this. Any suggestions?
    Andrea

  • Parse Error - malformed SQL

I am trying to debug a problem where a 'select * from' is being added to the sql statement a Visual Basic 6.0 application is sending to an Oracle 8.1.7 database. Any ideas what may be causing the problem?
    The application SQL is:
    SELECT max(work_order_id) AS WORK_ORDER_ID
    FROM paint_workorder
    WHERE work_order_id like '2003%'
    Trace shows the following:
    PARSING IN CURSOR #11
    SELECT max(work_order_id) as WORK_ORDER_ID, paint_workorder.ROWID
    FROM paint_workorder
    WHERE work_order_id like :"SYS_B_0"
PARSE ERROR -- (extra select * from)
    select * from SELECT max(work_order_id)AS WORK_ORDER_ID
    FROM paint_workorder
    WHERE work_order_id like :"SYS_B_0"
Somehow, a select * from is being added to the SQL statement being used by the appliciation.
    System configuration is:
    CLIENT:
Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3
    Visual Basic 6.0
    Oracle 8.1.7 client
    ADO 2.7 & 2.8
    Microsoft OLE DB provider
    Server:
    Oracle 8.1.7
    Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. We started using the Oracle Provider and got past the malformed SQL problem; however, we are using some grids that started to complain about not having the Microsoft OLE DB.
We are now maintaining two connections to the database. One using the Oracle provider and one using the Microsoft provider. This is working in most areas; however we are still having problems managing two connections in the application.
At my development/QA site, I have 7 clients using the Microsoft provider connecting to the database with no problems. It is at the customer site where the problem occurs and I cannot reproduce it at the development site.
We ran tool which lists the dlls my application uses and we seem to be synched up in both locations.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Thank you for the sympathy and the information about the Adobe.com forum Michael.
I posted here because, to be honest, for a company that's acknowledged their installers and updaters and support needs some work, they seem very determined to obfuscate the means by which users can provide direct feedback to the company. Much like you, I've also noticed a trend in CS5 installations that mirrors the issues that were present in CS4. it's a sad state of affairs.
As for my installation, you are also quite right to say that a clean install would have been a lot faster than what I went through with TS and it was actually my first idea. Before calling TS I'd actually read through the forums and noticed that a large number of users who were faced with my situation had no other choice but to reformat. I was just giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt and wasted 2 and a half weeks through that course of action...
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the installer failed on a fresh system. It was a custom-built design machine, assembled and configured by myself. The only software that had been installed on it prior to Design Premium was Firefox, an FTP client and the start of my problems, trial versions of various CS4 programs. I used trials just long enough to retire the previous design computer so that I wouldn't contravene the EULA's stipulation of not running more than one instance of software at the same time on different machines.  Turns out being honest once again penalised a legal customer.
If there is just thing users should learn from my far from unique tale of failed tech support it's that if you ever run into a problem with the installation, don't bother calling TS, just reformat and start from scratch.  It might seem like it'll take longer to get going again, but in actuality, it's the opposite. Reformatting means you'll be up and running in about 1 or 2 days rather than 2 weeks.

Yes on both of your questions. This is why I am confused as to why this is happening and the really strange this it happens maybe 2 times out of 10 (give or take).

  • Parse error with print

    Hi,
I tried to build a custome web gallery into LR 4.3 on MAC.
I started with example from LR SDK zip.
In my index.html sample file, i simply declare some variables at the top like this:
<%--[[ Define some variables to make locating other resources easier     firstPage was defined in our manifest.]]      local others = "content"    local theRoot = "."    local mySize = "large"    local firstImage    local title    local caption    local width    local height      local LrLogger = import 'LrLogger'    local myLogger = LrLogger( 'libraryLogger' )          myLogger:enable('print')          local debug, info, warn, err = myLogger:quick( 'debug', 'info', 'warn', 'err' ) %>
After, inside a script tag, i would like to print into index.html outputed file a json file with images name.
Before that i simply tried to print a test string, and i got in Console app this message : SyntaxError: Parse error
    Where am i wrong ?
    Thanks
    Regards

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are getting a printhead error with your HP Officejet 6830. I am happy to help!  I would recommend to go through the steps within this guide, 'Problem with Printhead,' 'Printer Failure,' 'Ink System Failure,' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error Message Displays. You will also want to make sure you are using Genuine HP Ink Cartridges, and that none of your Ink Cartridges are low or empty.  Hope this guide helps!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”
