MAS Scripts Editor error

Hello friends,
i open the tile in edit mode and when i try to add code in the scripts editor for a bound/unbound control, i get an error message 'script editor is not in edit mode..cant replace'.
i would really appreciate if you could please let me know as to what is causing this to occur.

I had to turn on the Edit mode of the Script editor, so this issue has been resolved. But, when I create an event with valid VB code or no code at all, I get an error message 'Loading of Tile was not successful' when the application is launched. I would appreciate any comments on this error.

Script Editor Errors?

Um I'm trying to make a script. But, I can't do it because...I keep getting these error messges when I try to right click and add in the script for Ex. 2 buttons and 2 actions and same for all that are like that.
An Error Occurred during Execution of Script

The scripts in the /Library/Scripts folder (e.g. /Library/Scripts/Script Editor Scripts/Dialogs/Dialog - 2 Btns 2 Actions.scpt are part of the original system install. You should leave them alone and use copies, since they are available for all user accounts (you would have needed admin access to replace them anyway).
The only thing I've noticed is that they are designed to work as a contextual menu item in the Script Editor (right-click), and sometimes get confused about which application to target if you just double-click on the script.

MAXL SCRIPT EDITOR ERROR 1090004

I keep having an error with the code below in MAXL
I am getting error 1090004
unable to open

This is the whole script in MAXL:

Looks like the rule file doesn't like the .txt file which you are loading for some reason. Some other options that I can think of -
1. Open the .txt file in the load rule and validate and see if it validates ok.
2. Open the .txt file, take just the first 2 lines and save it with a different name and then run the load on thie new .txt file. Does it still fail?
3. When was the last time this load happen succesfully? Has anything in the. rul or/and .txt changed since then? You may want to recover both from backup and run the load and see.

Data access error while running the script in fdm workbench script editor

Hello Experts,
I have been getting the error when i run the script in script editor of fdqm workbench client.this is the error
                          -2147467259 Data access error and it is navigating the error at line 30 about this script "Set rsAppend = DW.DataAccess.farsTable(strWorkTableName)"
Please revert me asap where i should load the data from peoplesoft to one of my planning database through fdm.

Thanks for your suggestion's here i am going to run the datapump script so while i am running in workbench it is throwing data access error.So as you guy's suggested i created one import format and added this script to that import format which is added to one of my location even it is throwing the same error.I am getting the error at this sentence   "strWorkTableName" I want to know what is this where it reflect's?So my question is Is there any difference while running data pump or integration script.Please let me know a detailed navigation steps to run this script's with out data access error to run these kind of scripts.
Note:Again my target is to load the data to planning database through fdqm which i am doing through sql statement's.

Error when using function CDbl in Script Editor

Hello,
While using the CDbl function in the Script Editor I am getting the following error:
Error - 13 - Type mismatch: 'CDbl' at Line 24
The reason I am trying to use CDbl is that I get another error while importing the data from a .CSV file
Import Error = TC - [Amount=NN|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/] 01-000-1030,Cash in Bank - Payroll,837.83,0.00,"1,569.50",0.00

Please keep in mind that pressing 'Save' and then 'Run' without using the script in a workflow is sometimes not a valid test. As the scripting generally created inside of FDM needs to be part of a workflow and certain variables/functions are passed when that workflow is executed as a whole.

AW memory error when clicking "Edit Script" on ICM 7.2.7 Script editor

I have installed a new AW/HDS(ICM 7.2.7).Installation went on smoothly but when i open a exist script through script editor and click "Edit Script", I get memory error "The instruction at "0x7c1..the memory could not be read" and the script editor closes automatically. I am able to make changes in Configuration Manager without any issues.The new server is configured as a secondary pointing to a primary distributor in a different region.Let me know if anyone has faced this issue or have any idea.All the ICM processes on the server looks fine. I am able to open the same script from other AWs without any issues.

I would run "Initialize Local Database" on the secondary to drop the local AW DB and rebuild it from the Central Controller.
Then I would try stopping the primary Distributor so the Secondary establishes the real-time feed to the Router by itself and check.

Error at Script Editor - ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error

This is my last call for help. I have made some research before i decided to create this thread, trying to find similar problems on the web and on this forum but it seems that this kind of error is associated with another type of situations. In addition, i am pretty new to Oracle DBMS and i do not know how to figure out some problems that happens in this DBMS. This one is very ridiculous because it happens when i load or create a script in Oracle Script Editor. This might be a bug for Oracle Developers figure out and correct for the next releases or updates (or not..).

However i don't understand why shows the HTML code. Seems to be the code related with the rest of the Oracle DB webpage where the script in filled in (check this two images to understand what i am trying to say: http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/3104/errororacle10g.jpg and http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/5185/scripteditornormal10g.jpg. This is what Script Editor shows on Internet Explorer.
If i login and make the same in another browser the behavior is different. In Firefox the script editor don't show anything and with Chrome i get all the script instructions in a single line (it exceeds the Script Editor) and the Script Editor background turns red: http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/1382/oracleerrorchrome.jpg I tested some scenarios and i got other conclusions: When i try to create a script in the Script Editor, whatever i write (instructions or whatever) when i save and load the file shows the same error. [newbie qn] script runs under Script Editor but not as application

I have a simple script that runs successfully under the Script Editor. The script is:
tell application "Safari"
activate
tell (make new document) to set URL to "http://www.google.com"
end tell
However, when I tried to run it as an application, I encountered the error 'Can't set document "Untitled" of application "Safari" to "http://www.google.com".'
How should I rewrite the script so that it would run as an application? Thanks!

Your script compiles and works fine saved as an application and tested under 10.5.6.
slightly different but does exactly the same

Script works in Script Editor, when saved as app, no longer works

I've been playing around with AppleScript trying to learn a little. I wrote an app to fullscreen the current application. First I wrote one to full screen a specific app:
tell application "Safari"
set the bounds of the first window to {0, 0, 1440, 894}
activate
end tell
This worked without any problems and I set a keyboard shortcut to activate it.
Then I decided to make it work for the current app:
tell current application
set the bounds of the first window to {0, 0, 1440, 894}
end tell
When I ran it in Script Editor, it worked fine and set the bounds of the Script Editor window to what I asked. When I save it as an application the same way I did the first app, it doesn't work. I get the error message "Can't set the bounds of window 1 to {0, 0, 1440, 894}." I tried it on the same Script Editor window it worked on when I simply clicked run, but I keep getting the error message.

Script throwing error" Object required: 'API'

Hi All,
We need help in one issue. We have following script which is running fine when we ran it from script editor, but when use this as expression in import format is throwing error
Error: An error occurred importing the file.
Detail: Object required: 'API'

ME_to_LE =API.SqlMgr.fMapItemLookup (749, "UD8", Left(strField,3))

We have created few other Scripts which are running fine and producing required result when we check them with MsgBox. But when we are using these scripts in import format it is saying: Object required: 'API'
IF I can not use API object in import script, how can I process multiple column with one script. We need to derive three-four column based on one input column and we don't want to write separate import script for each column. How and where we can write this script?
Are we missing any step? Any help will be highly appreciated. Looks I asked long question :)

OK. In requirment we have three-four column based on these column we need to derive few other column. We want to do spilitting and validation in Import itself. This is mainly a Validation requirment.
There is one column which may have 12,13,14,17 or any other number of character in it. first three will represent one dimension but exact value be a mapped result based on these three digits.
There are many validation based on the number on charaters and most importantly we don't want to process other column is validation get failed at any stage.
Do we have anything like Import Action? Probably we want to change that script. Or if we can write something like integration script. We need every column to be processed in one shot.
I don't think it is self explantry. Can we have your email please?

MDX script editing error generated at each keystroke

I'm having the same issue in VS2012. When I edit an MDX script the error window pops open between each keystroke. I have to copy the script into notepad, edit, then return it to the MDX editor. Very annoying!!!

Actually I get it in the Calculations tab of SSAS 2012 while inside Visual Studio 2012. I can toggle back and forth between script view and form view without error (and the build is clean), but when I start to type anything in form view it pops up the error
window between every single key stroke.
I've looked for options to turn off automatica error checking but don't see anything like that.

Could you please post the detail error message to us for further investigation? If possible, please post a screenshot about this issue.
Personally, you can try to reinstall Business Intelligence for Visual Studio 2012 to see if this help.

Problem opening a sheet music file on Script Editor

I have sone sheet music files but when I try to open them I get an error message saying that the dictionary of the extension or application is not scriptable and then I get another message saying that the Script Editor cannot open files in the Script Editor Document format. I have no idea what that means. I think they're MUS files, if that helps at all. Thanks.

Your question will have a better chance of a knowledgeable response in one of the other forums on this site, or on a forum elsewhere for the application that was used to create these files.
The filename extension .mus is usually a Finale Music Score, created by one of the Finale Music family of applications. You can find out more about Finale using the link in this post.

Interactive Script Editor

Hi all,
I am using the SAP standard interactive script for Leads - SampleB2B
When I click on the "Yes" button on the "Time for Questions" page, it has to take me to the Lead questionaire. This is configured in the Script editor too.
But the Lead questionaire does not appear. It gives the following error
"Survey Was not Found or Is not Within the Validity Period"
I, then regenerated the Lead_Questionaire from CRM_SURVEY_SUITE. But the error still persists.
Any inputs on this regard would be of great help.

Hello John,
Thank you for your inputs. Apart from this I also found another missing connect.
Although the latest version of the survey was active, I had to regenerate a newer version of the survey from CRM_SURVEY_SUITE and attach this one to the script.
It works fine now.

10g Express Edition; Problem saving updates in Script Editor

I'm running 10g Express Edition on Windows XP Media Center with SP3 with Internet Explorer 7.
I start with 'Go to Database Home Page'.
Then take the path Home>SQL>SQL Scripts>Script Editor;
I've created a Script called HW.
I make some changes to the script
Then I click the 'Save' button.
Then I click the icon for my HW script.
But when I look at my script my updates are not there.
This does not happen all the time.
Sometimes the save seems to work, and sometimes it doesn't.
I've noticed the same thing with Run. Sometimes my changes
will appear in the script that got Run. Sometimes they won't.
Any ideas on what I need to be doing to consistently Save my
updates in Script Editor? fwiw, I like Script Editor for what I need
to do - create scripts, export them as .sql files, etc. But I'm not
opposed to using another tool to do this.

With clause query issue in oracle cloud script editor

When I am running this query in SQL Workshop > SQL Commands window then its working fine
with cte as (select * from emp)
select * from cte
where deptno = (select deptno from dept where loc = 'DALLAS')
but its give me error in SQL Workshop > Script Editor window
When I did copy & paste query from Script Editor window to notepad,
then I realize that its automatically adding hidden "?" question mark (as per below query)
how can I resolve this issue?
please guide me.
I have confirm that there is no any white space after 'DALLAS')
& another simple queries working fine in both windows.

Hi Sanjay,
You have mentioned "+but its give me error in SQL Workshop > Script Editor window+" - are you referring to the SQL Workshop > SQL Scripts > Script Editor option, while editing a SQL script? If so, then I have been unable to reproduce the behaviour you have reported, and have not received any errors using your test query.
To assist in identifying the cause of your problem, could you please outline the exact steps that you followed, leading up to the step where you receive an error?
