Masks moving when I move the group?
Hello all
Hope you can help.
I have 4 masks applied to 4 copies of a green screen footage, all in 1 group.
Now when I move the group all the bits of footage move different amounts and do not line up.
Is there a way I can keep them in relation to each other?

Could it be that you have a 3D group? Make it 2D and you shouldn't have this problem...

Sounds like you have zoomed in. Can you see the clock and battery at top?
Three finder double tap drag down to zoom out.

Desktop is moving when I move the cursor
I am getting headache since someone pressed something at the keyboard an made the desktop move around as I move the cursor. I wish I could make it stop. I want my old desktop back. A desktop that doesn't move at all. It should only be the cursor that moves. What can I do?
Press Command-Option-8. Someone apparently turned on Zoom. (See System Preferences > Universal Access and click the Options button next to Zoom for more information.)

Title animation repeats when I move the segment
Hiya,
I'm very new to FInal Cut Pro X.
I have made a title with the lens flare animation. I set two keyframe markers to make the text enlarge before disappearing. It worked perfectly. Until...
I moved the segment and the animation went haywire. The animation now starts two or three times before the segment has finished playing.
I can't move the segments at all without this happening. My only option seems to be to decide exactly where I want the segment before I work on it. Which can't be correct.
Can anybody help, please?

Here are two screenshots showing the keyframes I set for one of the titles. I'm using the Lens Flare titles.
When I move the completed title along the timeline it adds extra keyframes in seemingly random positions, which I then have to delete manually. Otherwise they make the individual titles repeatedly flare and change size. Working with six titles is almost impossible because they all behave similarly when I shift them along.
I feel that it might be to do with the fact that the keyframes are stuck to the timeline and not the title segments, but I just don't know

Colors in parade do not change when I move the Temperature slider.
I am trying to do the speed grade tutorial, but the color does not change when I move the temperature slider.
It might be nice to know which "issue" of Sg you're using.There have been issues where the colors "lag" while using a slider/control, but typically when you let "up" on the control, the adjustment is "there". From your comment, am I correct in assuming that the controls simply don't do anything even after you've moved them? And of course ... when you "move" them, you do see the indicator on the slider-line move, right?

On my Mac desktop I must have changed a setting so that now when I move the mouse the open windows fly off to the sides and I can't see them. They come back when I move the mouse, but it is so annoying. How can I make the windows not disappear like that?
Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

Safari status bar disappears. I have tried clicking on show status bar, under the View tab and it will only appear when I move the cursor to the top of the screen. I can not minimize the open page, only full screen or close the browser. Any idea how the rectify this issue?
One enters and exits full-screen with control+command+F keys. This is on the View menu in Safari. Optionally, the green traffic light in your browser title bar, if you roll over it, has the full-screen control it it. While in full-screen mode with Safari, moving your mouse pointer virtually up, and off-screen reveals the Safari title bar again, and you can click the green traffic light to exit full-screen mode.
You can hide/show the status bar by simply typing command+/. This too, is on the Safari View menu. and in 10.10.1 — it works reliably for me. -
Why Does Image Distort When I move the Bones?

Hi, I just watched a tutorial where they apply bnes to deform a "bitmap" image. Their image didn't distort like my image. Why is this happening.
I imported an image then I "selected "break apart" and then I added bones to it. When I move the bones it makes the image distort, but in this tutorial here the image doesn't distort. What is wrong?The tutorial you watched is very simplistic. He doesn't use the bones in a realistic way and skips over the fact that his image isn't actually distorting the way he implies it will.
When you break apart a bitmap on the Stage, you end up with a shape that has its fill set as the bitmap (which is still in the library). When you bend and distort this shape with bones, the effect on the bitmap fill is unpredictable. Note that in the tutorial you cited, the author does not show the bitmap actually distorting in any useful way.
The better way to do this is to select the bitmap instance on stage and then choose Modify > Bitmap > Trace Bitmap. This converts the bitmap instance to a vector drawing. The problem here is that you end up with mulitple shapes of different colors if you have a multi-color image like your dinosour tail. You can add bones to the main green part of the tail, but the yellow parts will not be associated with those bones and so will not move with them. If you are animating the tail in the timeline, you can animate the main part of the tail via the bones and then animate the other parts to compliment that movement by moving those other parts to different layers and animating with normal motion tweens. -

is there a way we can change the path of the songs to an external hard drive when we move the songs over? also, is there a way to delete multiple songs easily?
I recently moved my songs over for hard drive space. Really don't want to have to go back through each album, etc... to get that to work.
Last time I tried making a "library" that didn't work either.
On the topic of deleting multiple songs that are the same, is there an easier way then to select each one?
Seems to me apple isn't user friendlyWelcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice. -

Are you talking about using the camera application?
I assume you are not ... instead I assume you are talking about a panoramic wallpaper that at one point during iOS 7 development was supposed to move when you move your iPhone. That feature did not make it to iOS 7. -
Firefox is opening new windows automaticly most often when I move the curser
Firefox has started opening new windows that show redirect. This happens most often when I move the curser. The problem is intermittent as it seems to stop when you close all the windows at times. Then when you go to a new page it starts opening new windows again.
If this affects a lot of sites randomly, there's a good chance it is caused by an add-on. Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or if obviously bad, remove).
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that shut down the extra windows?
Also recommended:
(1) Visit the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed on" column heading to group by date. Then look for any recent unrecognized programs that may have snuck in as part of a bundle. Remove everything you do not know to be useful and trustworthy.

my connection problem on my mac pro is :
that when i try to open a website on safari .... it delays ... and takes more than 30 seconds to open completely ...
but when i move the mac pro to another location ... its internet opening speeds up ....
also in one room ... web opening delays .... but on other rooms it is normal
so what can i do to solve this problem ....
Note : also when i hold it up and move in the same room ... the speed changes and somewhere speed up ... and in another location speed down ..

Waiting for your support ... as quick as possible ...WiFi signals get stronger the closer the machine is to the router and the less interference/blocking of the signal like via walls with metal in them or of thick concrete.
Since the signal emanates outwards in a sphere, your supposed to place the wireless router in a central location in the building so it covers all areas.
The power of the router also has a affect, if your router is old or something not that powerful like a Airport Express, it doesn't have the ability to filter out other signals or enough punch to get through walls etc. or cover a large area as effectively.
If you buy/have a powerful router of newer make and have issues where there is metal in the walls or thick concrete, then you can buy something like OpenMesh and by using Ethernet cables from the back of the router, extend the WiFi signal into other rooms and areas past the blockage.

Hi there. I have a problem with sound on my 4s. When you move the volume slider up, it sounds well. But when I move the volume slider down I will hear barely and unclear sound in my headphone.I tried different headphones but result is same as old one.Help
Try A and B
(A) Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
(B) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Having arranged some scanned pictures in an album in I-Photo how can I keep them in the order I have chosen when I move the album. They all have the scan date and not the taken date and move to new positions if I move them from one album to another.
Is there any way to re-number them in the order I have chosen so that they can then be sorted by number? The scans are all from pre-digital images that I wish to move to a photobook and I don't want to have to organise them twice!

Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.
