MasOS 10.6.8 server suport 1.5TB internal HD

Hi, Have a MacPro server running MacOS 10.6.8 Server edition and want to add an internal 1.5TB SATA HD does it will work or need a smaller one?

I don't like seeing upgrades through more than one version of OS X Server.  There's a lot to go wrong.  By all means try it, but take a complete disk image first and be prepared to pull out some hair before deciding on whether to give up.  My advice would be to do a fresh installation and use the tools provided to migrate or export/import data across from the old server to a new server.
0r, as you posted, leave the servers alone until they die.  But that's a problem that just gets worse and worse as support for migrating from older versions gets poorer and poorer.  We'll be on OS X Server 10.9 in a few months !
Note that as of 0S X Server 10.8, MySQL no longer comes included.  You can convert to a different free SQL engine (SQLite, ProgreSQL), use MariaDB which is a drop-in free open replacement of MySQL, or buy the no-longer-free no-longer-open MySQL from Oracle who own it now and have made it non-open.

    Error during parsing of SOAP header
    Can you mention what are the settings done in Receiver HTTP channel.....the request that you send to target is not in proper format.
    One reason could be incorrect Content Type.....is it text/XML ?

    try sending the same XML message picking from moni and check whether you are getting same error or not?
    if you get same error then check at web server for logs there you can find exact error.

  • Non-Web Server Publishing Rule for Internal and External

    Hi there,
    I have a problem with my TMG and publishing SSH for Internal and External users to an internal Server.
    Network:
    Internal Network
    SSH Server, 10.10.10.25
    Internal DNS record "ssh.domain.com" pointing to 10.10.10.254
    TMG Server, 10.10.10.254/192.168.0.254
    External Network
    External DNS record "ssh.domain.com pointing to 192.168.0.254
    I want my users (internal AND external) using their SSH client to connect to ssh.domain.com and TMG to forward the request to the SSH server. Note that internal clients and the SSH server are in the same network.
    I have created a custom "SSH Server" protocol with inbound TCP for port 22 and created a Non-Web Server publishing rule.
    Traffic Tab: SSH Server Protocol
    From Tab: Internal, External
    To Tab: 10.10.10.25, original client
    Networks Tabs: Internal, External
    External users cann connect without a problem, all fine here. Internal users get a timout. The TMG Log says: Denied Connection (Default Rule,
    The policy rules do not allow the user request) and doesn´t recognize this is an inbound request. The log gives me dest IP 10.10.10.254 and protocol SSH and not 10.10.10.25 and SSH Server.
    I read a lot of networking rules and NAT/Routing, tried a bit but never got a success.
    Can you help me fix or working around this and tell me whats going on there and if there a limitations in TMG I don´t know yet?
    Regards,
    Sascha

    Hi,
    According to your description, it seems that request was denied by the TMG rules so the request from the internal users
    could not be forwarded to the SSH server. I would appreciate it if you can post the logs to us and the results of running ipconfig/all on the TMG server.
    In addition, maybe you can change the firewall policy only from
    External and add another firewall policy for the internal user to see if the issue persists.

  • Reading XML file from application server and  put into internal table-4.6C

    Dear All,
    Is there any way of reading XML file from application server to SAP? I am using 4.6C. Function module SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING function module is not available. Please suggest.
    Thanks and regards,
    Atanu

    Hi Atanu!
    Simply use the XSLT transformation 'ID'.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS <ls_result> TYPE ANY.
    CREATE DATA lref_data TYPE (your_structure).
    ASSIGN lref_data->* TO <ls_result>.
    CALL TRANSFORMATION id
                        SOURCE XML xmlstr
                        RESULT result = <ls_result>.
    "xmlstr" contains your XML file. Just read it into it via standard I/O operations. "<ls_result>" will contain your DDIC formatted content.
    Best regards

  • Create XML file on application server (unix directory) from internal table

    Hallo everybody,
    I have got the following problem:
    I am working with <u><b>release 4.6C</b></u> and have got to create XML files from HR master data and organizational data respectively.
    This takes place in 3 steps:
    1.     Collect the data in an internal table
    2.     Convert the data to XML format using the function module 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_XML_FORMAT'
    3.     Download the data
    If I download the converted data, which are in an internal table, to the presentation server via the function module ‘WS_DOWNLOAD’ and open it with the Internet Explorer, everything is ok.
    If I download the converted data to the application server, i.e. into a unix directory via
    ‘open dataset’, ‘loop at internal table, ‘transfer working area to file’, ‘close dataset’
    and then try to open it, this is not possible, because after the last tag some unreadable characters, e.g. a square, appear that aren’t supposed to be there. That’s what my colleagues told me, for I haven’t got access to the server.
    I have no idea where these characters come from and how I can get rid of them. I guess that either I have to modify (how?) the table with the converted data before the download or I have to use another way to convert the data. For the second way I would probably have to work with an XML class or an XML interface. Unfortunately I’I am not an expert in working with classes so sample coding would have to be rather detailed.
    Here’s some more information about how I work with the conversion function module:
      call function 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_XML_FORMAT'
           exporting
                i_field_seperator    = lv_field_seperator
               i_line_header        = lv_line_header
               i_filename           = lv_xml_file
               i_appl_keep          = ' '
                i_xml_doc_name       = lv_xml_doc_name
           importing
                pe_bin_filesize      = lv_result
           tables
                i_tab_sap_data       = gt_data
           changing
                i_tab_converted_data = lt_tab_converted_data
           exceptions
                conversion_failed    = 1
                others               = 2.
    lv_field_seperator = ‘X’.
    lv_xml_doc_name = ‘Personalstammdaten Publikation’
    lv_result: type i
    gt_data: fields: PERNR, PERSG, PERSK etc.
      types:
      begin of truxs_xml_line,
        data(256) type x,
      end of truxs_xml_line.
      types:
      truxs_xml_table type table of truxs_xml_line.
    data:
    lv_tab_converted_data type truxs_xml_line,
    lt_tab_converted_data type truxs_xml_table
    open dataset lv_xml_file for output in binary mode.
    loop at lt_tab_converted_data into lv_tab_converted_data.
      transfer lv_tab_converted_data to lv_xml_file.
    endloop.
    close dataset lv_xml_file
    lv_xml_file: /usr/users/.../.../Personendaten_2004-11-02.xml
    Hope the information is detailed enough! Otherwise let me know. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Raja,
    tried the "TEXT" mode, but that didn't help.
    There are still characters after the last tag, that are not supposed to be there including a date that is not
    the creation date of the file.
    Thank you for your help.

  • How to configure AD on windows 2012 server for Exchange 2013 internal and external email flow

    Dear Experts,
    I have to configure exchange 2013 on Windows server 2012 STD. Company has registered Static IP addresses and can get the MX record pointing to any of this Static IP.
    The registered domain name is e.g.  contoso.com.
    a. What should I use as domain name on AD? contoso.com or contoso.local
    b. Is it recommended to have two different servers  for AD and Exchange?
    c. What should be my connector settings for mail flow?
    d. how can I set 2 email servers in company for load balancing?

    Hi,
    a, I suggest use contoso.com as domain name. It is convenient to add urls into our certificate for internal and external mail flow.
    b, Recommended that installing AD
    and Exchange Server on two separate
    Servers. If Exchange Server downed unfortunately, it can prevent AD server from crushing at the same time.

  • Application server file length to internal table

    i am having a flat file in the appliaction server and it is 350 characters length stored for each line.
    i mean like purchase order,matner,material text, kunnr,customer address etc, this all will be 365 chars including spaces.
    I have decalred the file path like
    file(150) type c.
    so in file i store the physical path.
    Now i used the statement to read the data into by itab , which has all the fields of applicaion server file .
    Do
    Read dataset file into waitab.
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
          EXIT.
        ENDIF.
         APPEND waitab TO itab.
        CLEAR waitab.
      ENDDO.
    1)My doubt is that
    experts
    i am simply using Read dataset file into waitab. and i did not mentioned the lenght of the file anywhere in the program? Will the system move all the 365 chars into waitab?
    Or do i need to mention the lenght of the file?
    2)Suppose my file is like this
    1212222  2283838 2839293  383839283 38e439 3u39393 3839839 383993 2837383  38739378  3u873983
    Now my itab will be
    filed1(10),file2(7),field3(8),field4(7),filed5(8).
    so in this case the first 10 chars of the file will be placed in field1,
    next 7chars will be placed in field2, is it including spaces?
    Here my file lenght is more than the itab, in this case what will happen?Beacuse my need is to have file first line into one record of itab , second line into another record , etc?

  • There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate (internal Outlook 2013 users)

    I am receiving the above message for internal Outlook 2013 users when they open Outlook. Despite this message, Outlook is fully functional. External OA users do not see this message. We are using an SRV record for our autodiscover and pointing it to the
    name on the single cert we have. I've also already changed the outlookprovider record in Exchange. Any ideas?
    TIA!

    Hi Alceryes,
    According to the error message, Outlook is unable to connect  to the proxy server (Error Code 10),
    it seems an issue on the Certificate side.
    FLAG_CERT_CN_INVALID 0x00000010
    More details to see following KB:

    Would you like to tell me the reason that why you are using SRV record for Autodiscover?
    I find a FAQ on Autodisocover for your reference, hope it is helpful:

  • How to pass values to SQL server Agent Job which internally calls SSIS

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where i need to call remotely SSIS package from ASPX. After following MSDN form, I have creaed one SQL server agent job and calling that job from ASPX. I am ablt call SQL server agent job from ASPX. Only issue i am facing is: I need
    to pass 2 variables from ASPX to SQL Agent job so that from Job i can map the same to SSIS Package.
    I am using system SP (sp_start_job) for calling SQL server agent job as mentioned in MSDN forum.
    below is the code , which i am using to call SQL serve agent job.
    Code:
    SqlConnection
    jobConnection;
    SqlCommand jobCommand;
    SqlParameter jobReturnValue;
    SqlParameter jobParameter;
    int jobResult;
                    jobConnection =
    new
    SqlConnection("Server=ServerName;Initial
    Catalog=msdb;Integrated Security=SSPI;user id=username;Password=password");
                    jobCommand =
    new
    SqlCommand("sp_start_job",
    jobConnection);
                    jobCommand.CommandType =
    CommandType.StoredProcedure;
                    jobReturnValue =
    new
    SqlParameter("@RETURN_VALUE",
    SqlDbType.Int);
                    jobReturnValue.Direction =
    ParameterDirection.ReturnValue;
                    jobCommand.Parameters.Add(jobReturnValue);
                    jobParameter =
    new
    SqlParameter("@job_name",
    SqlDbType.VarChar);
                    jobParameter.Direction =
    ParameterDirection.Input;
                    jobCommand.Parameters.Add(jobParameter);
                    jobParameter.Value =
    "ImportCMTData";
                    jobConnection.Open();
                    jobCommand.ExecuteNonQuery();
                    jobResult = (
    Int32)jobCommand.Parameters["@RETURN_VALUE"].Value;
                    jobConnection.Close();
    switch (jobResult)
    case 0:
    Console.WriteLine("SQL
    Server Agent job, RunSISSPackage, started successfully.");
    break;
    default:
    Console.WriteLine("SQL
    Server Agent job, RunSISSPackage, failed to start.");
    break;
    Console.Read();
    Thanks
    Pankaj

    "3-4 concurrent users are calling the SSIS package from ASPX page" this is not a proper design
    If the data is being ingested than it is likely that this concurrency will lead to one of the packages die
    What you shell do is to just queue the data ingress/processing.
    In general, again, packages should not be called from ASP web pages, SSIS is ETL-server side technology there is nothing signalling back to the user whether it was successful. The proper way is to write a REST service or alike.

  • OSB turning off server gives problem in internal transport after FTP polling

    Hi,
    We are using OSB with 2 managed servers. When managed server2 is not available we get the following error during the processing of a remote file using the ftp adapter.
    weblogic.jms.extensions.JMSOrderException: hashed member of jmsResources!dist_wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.ftp_auto is jmsResources!wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.ftp_auto_2 which is not available
    We have a proxy which polls for FTP files on location x.
    In the proxy configuration, FTP Transport Configuration we set the managed server ("the managed service to run the poller service polling  the external resourcel") to managed server1.
    It appears that after polling the external resource and a file is discovered, the OSB forwards the request via internal transport to managed server2. However this one is disabled/ not available.
    We only disabled the second node (reflected in the server tab on the WLS), Why is it trying to reach managed server2?
    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Even if you indicated server1 as the 'managed_server' that only means the file is picked up by server1, processing is still offloaded onto the other servers in the cluster.
    If I remember correctly we found a setting change fixed this issue for us - we needed to set sort by arrival to false.

  • Java Web Server 6.1 SP4 Internal Server Error

    All,
    I have recently installed the Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 SP4 on a Windows XP Professional machine. The installation goes fine, and I receive no errors. I then start the admin server so that I may create a new instance and deploy my servlets. The server starts up without error, but when I try to access the admin console through
    http://mycomputername:adminportnumber I get an internal server error after entering my admin username and password. I red in aother forum that this error sometimes results if the Java Directory Server is running on the same machine, but I assure you that this is not the case in this scenario. Any help leading to the resolution of this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    This could happen if you have NSS DLLs like nss3.dll in your <windows>/system32 directory.
    Please check if this is the case.
    Installing Directory Server on the same machine is one of the ways in which these DLLs get into <windows>/system32 directory. There could be other ways.
