Mass 'cancellation' of Stock items

Hi Experts,
Within the Item Master Data screen, my customer right clicks and chooses Cancel to remove an item.
He has thousands of items which he no longer sells which need to be cancelled in this way.  Is there a way to do this via DTW?
Thanks
Greig

hi,
You can't cancel item after transactions were made, instead put items on hold,
Thru DTW Use oItems template,Enter ItemCode,Frozen >tYES,FrozenFrom>2009/05/,
FrozenTo --> 219999/12/31,Save it in CSV format,Follow steps as in DTW wizard,
Tick mark update existing object,Detick Simulate run,Click Advanced tab,Enter no. of records
in Max. No. of errors allowed(Enter 2000 if u have 2000 records),Click required option in it.
Proceed to further steps & finish importing.

  • Sales order line for Non Stock items progressed to Closed status, need to be Cancelled.

    Hi,
First time posting to this community, I hope someone can help.
Currently we have a setup where non stock items are being added to sales order lines (charges, etc.).
These lines are being progressed through to Closed status automatically.
Users are reporting that they have entered the line in error and would like to change the status of the line to Cancelled.
We are unable to return the material (RMA) as it is non stockable/transactable etc.
Current workaround is to adjust the stock and make finance aware so that the line does not get invoiced.
However, the system still shows that the line is closed (i.e. provided to customer) which is not correct.
Is there any way of getting the line to a status of cancelled?
Your help is very much appreciated.
    Regards
    Tim

    Hi Arif,
Many thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm thinking the only course of action I have for future, is to make the items stockable/transactable/returnable such that an RMA can be performed if added in error.
We can put a large qty into stock at zero value.
Thanks for your help in any case.

  • Mass Cancellation purchase requisition or Mass unfix purchase requisition

    Hello,
Our purchase requisitions are created through MRP.
When we transform our purchase requisitions into purchase orders, if quantity in PO is smaller than the quantity in the P-Req, the P-Req is fixed.
I would like to know if there is a way to do a mass cancellation or to unfix purchase requisitions.
    Thanks

When you create a PO from a PR,  and you change the quantity, what do you expect then from SAP?
If you are the opinion that the PR should be closed even you order less than required, then you have to tell this your SAP system.
You do this by going into the delivery schedule tab at item detail of the PO. At very right of the schedule line is a button (really, this is a button), click it, it turns into a button with a checkered flag and the PR will get closed.
Any manual change of a PR (even you do it with changing the order quantity in the PO) results in fixing the PR. This will tell SAP that a human had taken the decision, and MRP must not touch this requisition. SAP just assumes, that the human made the decision to keep the remaining quantity as open in the requisition, if you dont click the finish button.
If you need a mass deletion, then you have to record a sessionfor BDC, CATT  or LSMW.

  • Mass change of BOM item and BOM item catergory

    Hello Everyone,
I have a need to complete a mass change of a BOM item with another, usually I use transaction CS20,this works o.k. but this time I'm also changing the material with a new item catergory, for example a stock item with a phantom item.
Does anyone have an idea how to complete this task.
    Kind Regards
    Frankie

    Hello,
Thankyou very much for your reply.
I did try adding the new material using CS20 but all the BOM qty's are different and as you know you have to complete this field, so it would mean changing one at a time, I attacked this issue from a different angle and created an LSMW so I can Mass delete the parts but then use this program to change the BOM item to the new part.
    Thanks again for your reply
    Kind Regards

  • PR and PO should be display in IWBK report for stock item.

    Hi Exterts,
Our client requirement is to display PR and PO number in IWBK report for stock item as well.
I know PR and PO can be display in IWBK report for non-stock item but how we can display PR and PO for stock item,as PR is generated through MRP for stock item.
Please share your ideas on this.
    Regards
    Vishu

    Vishu,
In typical MRP settings you "procure to stock" not "procure to order".
This means that there is no direct link between the PM/CS orders and any PR/POs created via MRP.
Subsequently you will not be able to show this data in IWBK.
However, we are currently designing a customer-specific report similar to IWBK that also counts the number of open POs for a given material on a PM/CS work order. The user can then navigate to ME2M (PO list) or MD04 (stock requirements list) to get further details.

  • Variable size item Vs Stock item

    Hi Experts,
I have a doubt regarding the use of variable size item over standard stock item. I will give an example as under.
I have an item called cable which is to be added to a header material. This cable will be used in many header materials. I tried using variable size item as an item category and given the following parameters
    Size 1 as 5 M(UOM)
    Formula (L1)
    Number (1) ST
System calculates the value as 5 M for qty var sz item
In the item over view screen, quantity against the material 1 ST
My query is instead of giving the qty as 5 M and use a formula, what if i directly give the item as stock item "L" and directly define the qty as 5M. If there is no difference between the above, why should we use the variable size item? instead we can directly calculate and give the qty for the item right. Kindly clarify the application of variable size item over standard stock item category.
In both the cases I will be having one material code in the system and the qty will be changed in the respective BOM of two different header materials.

    Sridharan M

    Hi
In addition to the stock keeping unit you can provide the details like length, width and thickness, say for example if you want to fabricate a metal part. You may need length width and thickness of the plate to be used for fabrication. This details you will be entering in the variable size items and using the formual you can calculate the required quantity in KG.
This kind of variable size items you need not calcualte the weight of the material you just need to enter the sizes as per the drawing as you prepare the BOM.
This varies with respect to size.... Variable Size Items

  • Unit of measure for Stock and Non-stock Item in CJ20N

When I attach Material to an activity (item Category N   Non-stock item) in Project Builder (CJ20N), It is peaking its Base unit of Measure as unit. Now when I try to change it, it is showing an error
Item category N: Only base unit of measure M allowed
    Message no. CO344
But for the same material if I change the item Category to L   Stock item, then it allows me to change the unit.
Please guide me regarding this Behavior. Is there any customization, by doing which it will allow me do the same for Non-stock Item or It is not Possible.

firstly I am assuming that the activity is internal processing type - doesn't matter really
now to attach a material select actvity and from the template area click and drag material which will open the material detail screen in the work area
because it is a non stock item I am assuming text description - in the requirements qty you enter the qty and next to it the units - changeable
if you choose a material number maintained as material master then obviously the unit will be from the material master.
If you are using an externally processing activity then in config check OPUU for the network type and see if order unit has been populated - that might be the problem

  • Goods receipt indicator is PO is not set for Stock -item

    Hi Gurus,
I have created PO for a raw material but it is so strange that the Goods receipt indicator in Delivery tab is not set (it is greyed out also). Then, I cannot do Goods receipt for PO anymore.
Normally, this Goods receipt indicator is set automatically if material is stock-item.
Can anyone help me find out the reason?
    Thanks,
    Hong

    Hi,
For the material type RAW MATERIAL ,  aganist your plant ( Which is given in the PO) have you activated QTY UPDATE check box?
    Check in the transcation OMS2
Select your material type and click on the Qty update / Value update ( Which is in the left hand side window).
Check QTY UPDATE check box aganist ur plant code. If not activated, check / activate check box.
If this check box is activated, then only GR checkbox is activated in the PO - Delivery screen

  • Out of Stock  items

When creating a sales order ,
Is it possible for the item availability check to show items which are out of stock?
    Clients request is as follows:
This is the box (item availability check ) that I am after, at the moment it pops up when we try to put on a sales order for a product that isnt in stock and doesn’t have any on purchase order, Preferably we would like this box to appear if physical stock isnt available and not take into account whether there is any on purchase order or not.
Is there any other way to show out of stock item when creating a sales order apart from using the remarks box and then form settings?
Edited by: Darpal Thiarha on Mar 18, 2008 12:31 PM

The existing functionality of Item availability Check could not be changed.  You could enable the In Stock column (from Form settings) to see current onhand quantity for that Item in the Sales Order Rows.

  • Item Category N (non-stock item) in BOM creation - Preq Generation

    Hi All
I have a material component that is planned in APO and not in ECC6. We would like to keep the one BOM for the finished good. Problem is that when we perform the backflush in ECC6, the system wants to backflush the material and causes errors due to missing stock.
So I assigned the material as a non stock item in the BOM but the system will auto generate  a purchase requisitions for Non stock bom components (item category N) when the process order is created. It is possible to turn off the auto creation of the purchase req for non stock bom components?
    I have tried the following:
    - Explosion type in item data, created new key with 'Switch off planning' indicator set in system configuration
    - created new 'Z' item category with inventory management de-selected
Both approaches causes system error: Puchase data of material in not maintained
I also tried leaving as a stock item with the bulk material indicator selected in the item data. This does not work as the cif will then exclude the component when data is transferred to APO
Funny enough, the system does not generate a purchase req for non stock bom items when using Repetitive Manufacturing. Any help will be greatly appreciated
    kind regards
    Grant brockelbank

    Hello Vivek
    Thank you for your response
The item is a non stock item. I do not want this item to be backflushed at all. This can be achieved using the 'N' non stock item category but the problem is that the system will attempt to generate a purchase requisition when the process order is created.
I do not want the system to generate a purchase req in ECC6 as this item is a planning material that is planned in APO (used for medium to long term planning in a simulation version). We are hoping to use the one Bom for ECC6 and APO planning. The generation of the purchase reqs is a bit of a waste as we will never convert them and there is potential to cause issues for purchasing.
    Any other thoughts?
    Thanks again for your help
    kind regards

  • MIGO Print label WEE1 for non stock items from GR for PO

    Hi,
I added logic to print new label into printing program MZ07DETI which is printing labels for stock items. My label is for non stock items. The problem is that for non stock items printing process is not triggered. I created PO with Account Assign. Category F, P or K no material number and no storage location. For this type of PO no print possible during GR posting. Is any set up available in IMG to make it work. I appreciate any response.

    Hi,
Please check up if there is any default value at the plant level;in case of such default, the system will post to the GL Account defaulted, not with standing the "standard item category".Better checkup if any cost center /order has been assigned.
The GL item is defaulted thro'the item category. If both the goods and services have been defaulted to the same GL  Account, then not with standing the type [ie] whether goods or services, the system will post tot he same GL Acct.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards.

  • Goods Issue Documentation for Text (Non-stock) Items

    Hi all,
I have a business requirement to provide some form of shipping documentation for text (non-stock) items.
The business do not want to create material masters (NLAGs) for these items as they are different/one off purchases.
The purchase the goods and receipt with account assignment to a cost center or internal order, then sit on the inventory and send it out to customers along with real stock items.
Any ideas on how I can provide some kind of supporting documentation, whether that is a delivery note, or just a simple GI Slip?
    Thanks,
    Mark.

So they want to purchase items that they don't create materials for/don't get stocked yet want to include those items that don't really 'exist' in SAP on some for of documentation.
If these items go with real Deliveries then why not add them as text items to the Delivery ?
