Control authorization of mass change functionality via PCUI

Hi,
We are having the following issues with the Opportunity iview, com.sap.pct.crm.opp.opportunities_s.(Business package for CRM 5.0 and contains functionality CRMD_BUS2000111).
Once the user clicks Go..he has the list of Opportunities. He can select some or select all and use "Mass Change".
We would like to control the functionality of "Mass Change" attribute in the backend CRM System so that only a few people can be authorized to do this. However we are not able to find any CRM authorization
object that controls the mass change activity for opportunities and pursuits in the backend CRM System.
What is the backend CRM Authorization object that controls this functionality in the backend CRM System ?

In IW38/IW3N we added our own Mass-Change button (in addition to the standard option) via Enhancement Spot ES_EAM_LIST_ENHANCEMENTS_EXT. This was required to perform functions that don't exist in the standard mass-change function e.g. mass-add/delete operations, mass-un-TECO, mass-un-CLSD, etc.
This Enhancement Spot may work for IE05 too.

Mass Change Function for Standard Templates

Hi All,
I am trying to use Mass Change Function to change one field value in my Standard project Definitions as well as Standard WBS Elements but its not doing.Is it that Mass change Function is only aplicable for Operative projects and not for Standard Templates?

your observations are correct - mass change functions are only for oprative pojects and not for standard templates

Mass Change Functionality

Hi All,
Would like to know that from you that i want to change the name in the person responsible field of the standard Project Definitions.The are around 1000 Project templates with the assigned WBS elements.How would i be able to do that using the mass change functionality?

Hi,
As suggested by Virendra use the CNMASS transaction. Select the projects for which you need to change the attribute (Person Responsible). In the CNMASS you can enter the field values for mass change after you specify the project ID.
Please note that this is irreversible and cannot be undone. Before executing the transaction click on "Test Changes" and verify the changes before you execute and save it.

'Carry-out Mass changes in Equipment/Functional Locations

Dear Experts,
Through one SCN thread, I came to know that there is a functionality namely 'Carry-out Mass changes' in the GOTO menu in the List editing ALV screens of Equipment/Functional Locations (IE05, IH08, IH06 etc)
But, I am not able to find any such (Carry out mass changes) function in any of the menu items in IE05, IH08, IH06 etc.
Can someone help clear this situation.

Contract Mass change enhancement in SRM 7.0

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 7.0 & implementing new Contract mass change functionality for header P.Org. & P. Group data. I have created a Web Dynpro Component (with View similar to /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_AO_CT_MC_D), & implemeted a BADI /SAPSRM/CTR_MC_BADI & added an entry in Table BBPV_CTR_MASSOP.
After selecting the change method i am getting the error "View O_V_PURCH does not exist in the component YWDC_UI_AO_CTR". Actually, O_V_PURCH is an outbound plug of the WEb Dynpro Component. I am not sure why this eror is coming.
Could you please help me out in this. That will be a great help.
FYI - I am using Operational Contract Configuration document as reference.

Mass Change in FBL3N NOT working

Dear All ,
I am using tcode FBL3N to do the Mass Change of the field text (field SGTXT) for all the selected line items.But it is NOT working for reasons unknown. I have searched all the threads in SDN but could not find the solution.
Iam an ABAPER and iam told to find out why the Mass Change is NOT happening. I have debugged the transaction and also searched for all the related SAP notes but could not figure out what exactly the problem is.
Iam NOT sure whether this is the problem from ABAP code or a Functional problem.
In the code the tcode FB02 is being called is this the problem with this ??
If anyone knows the solution plz help me.

Dear All,
The problem is solved.There was an implementation of BTE by the customer in which they were using a COMMIT WORK, which was causing inconsitency to the standard sap functionality (Mass Change thru FBL3N).When we removed this COMMIT WORK,the Mass Change functionality is working fine.

Instead of writing LSMW, i am looking for mass change option for list of equipments available thru IE05 under Go To----> Carry out a mass change.
Its giving me a error message :
Objekt PM_MASS_TECH_OBJECTS is not maintained
Message no. BL010
Diagnosis
An application log entry is to be made for object PM_MASS_TECH_OBJECTS. This object is, however, not maintained as an application log object.
Objects and subobjects of the application log are created using transaction SLG0.
System Response
The program had to be cancelled.
Procedure
Inform the system administrator.

i'm trying to change a filed value as null. i.e. a value is maintained in pp work centre field for functional location. i want to delete this value to keep this field as blank. By using this mass change functionality i'm not able to do so. can any body hep me out to this problem.

Copy Project and Mass Change

hi experts,
When I copy a project from another operative project with list of material (external), the plant (in the material component) tab is also copied over to the new project. Is there any way that I could change this plant assignment for each material - it is greyed out in my system.
Additional information:
1. All of these material are Non-Stock (so Plant is irrelevant)
2. Procurement type = third party procurement (PFS)

It is not possible to change the plant while copying or with mass change function.
Alternatively you can copy all the WBS elements and activities without materials. Set a subsitiution rule to change the Plant at network level.

Maintenance order Operation mass change with Ehp5

Hi Experts,
We are currently working in ECC 6.0 Ehp3 and we are exploring the additional features with Ehp5.
To explore the Ehp5 functionalities (Maintenance order Operation Account Assignment and Operation mass change) we did the foloowing:
1. LOG_EAM_CI_2 to LOG_EAM_CI_5 and LOG_EAM_LINEAR_1 business function is activated
2. LOG_EAM_OLC: Operation Account Assignment business function is activated
3. Under Define Cost settings configuration, the relevant Plant and Order type checkbox is activated
4. The user role is adjusted to enable the Maintenance order Operation mass change functionality
Suppose the LOG_EAM_OLC business function is activated on 01.02.2012
The Maintenance orders created before 01.02.2012 is allowed to do the Maintenance order Operation mass change.
But the Maintenance orders created after 01.02.2012 is not allowing to do the Operation mass change and throwing the error message.
Error message: Operation Account Assignment orders (order type XX) are not supported
Program name: SAPLIBAPI_ALM_ORDER_PROCESSING
Message Class: ERP_CO_OLC_E (Messages for Operative Level Costing)
Message number: 066
I have reffered the supporting documents, but it didn't helped.

Hi,
I expect the issue is with BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. The mass change functionality usues this BAPI but the BAPI does not currently support OLC orders. When you try to change OLC orders via the BAPI (or the mass change functionality tries to do it) this is prevented and the error message is issued.
At the moment, you will not be able to use mass change for OLC orders.

Extend Password Change Functionality

Is there a way to extend the Password Change functionality in Access Manager to envorce a more complicated password scheme - upper case, lower case, special characters, etc? The password policy appears to not allow specifying more complicated password enforcement schemes.

This needs a small modification to the JSP and/or the action class.
The usual effort estimate is 2-4 days for a resource with experience on how to do this. 2-4 weeks for a resource that hasn't done it before.

coz there is no option for master recipe selection in working area of CEWB.

Mass Change in Recipe management (Transaction RMWB) - change specification

Hello ALL,
I am working on a Requirement - Mass Change in Recipe management (Transaction RMWB)
Requirement - for a given specification number get the list of all recipes where this particular specification is used (this is achieved by standard functionality in RMWB)
When a particular recipe is changed in a recipe - perform a mass change of specification across all the recipes.
Things I have found already:
This has to be done in similar fashion as status change is done using ABAP Class -CL_RCP_MSC_STATUS
I would appreciate your help and suggestion in this.

Yeah actually we did the same thing per your specs: non-status related although confined to preferred recipes, substituting substance X for Y in dependent formulas of recipes.
The only option right I am aware of currently requires custom ABAP work using the Mass-Change framework supplied.

Is anyone doing non-status related mass changes in RM? Specifically, is anyone substituting substance X for substance Y in dependent formulas inside recipes? If so, was the related work in-house ABAP development or SAP CDP? Any helpful hints would be very much appreciated.

Vendor Master- Mass change to set block function 02 for selected PurchOrg

We are using SAP 4.7.
We want to do Vendor Master- Mass change to set block function 02 (T code- MK05 in block for quality reasons) for selected Purchasing Organizations to approximately 2000 number of vendors. I tried this using mass maintenance (T code XK99), but in this case block function of all purchasing organisations gets changed. We want it for certain purchasing organisations only. Kindly suggest the solution.
In case I have to go for a development can you please suggest any functional module/ BAPI?
Can I achieve this using mass maintenance functionality (XK99)?

Using the block function in XK05 will block the vendor for all purchasing organizations (as mentioned in the documentation of the field). What you can do is to use purchasing block for the selected purchasing organization.
The field is LFM1-SPERM, and this can be done via mass maintenance using XK99.
