As suggested by Mervin,better option is record in LSMW for CA02 transaction.

Mass changes in routing

HI,
I need to add one more operation in the existing routings, every routing is mutiple routing and addtion to be made in all the headers. Can we do this using CA85N or should we have to user BDC or is there any other method available.

I think CA85N should be not used bcoz this is for ....Mass replacement: work center....
and u have to add a new operation.
Try for BDC or LSMW,

Mass change of Routing / BOM

Hi All,
I have a client who is implementing By-Products. My understanding is that to use By-Products the component in the BOM must be assigned to an operation and have the Back Flushing indicator set. The value of the component must be set as a negative.
The component that is to be set as a By-product exists in 80 BOM's / Routings. Can these changes be made on Mass. I fear not as the material assignment needs to be done manually???????????

Hi MM,
Option 1 : When ever you create prioduction order go to component overview and check box backflush indicator it will work
Option 2 : make BDC for same to do mass
Option 3: you can do goods receive from MB1A with Movement type 551 do with order refernce
if solved give reward and close it

Is there any way I can update all my Routings with Activity type and Labour Cost in the Routing Master Data (CA02)
I checked MASS and MM17 but I see nothing pertinent to Routings

Yeh - to do an LSMW was my initial thought - but they are not keen on doing it that way
Therefore, I was wondering if there wasn easier or better way to go about it

Mass Change of Task list of type 2 with CEWB

Dear All,
How to do Mass Change of Master Recipe with Trasaction CEWB, it is only allowing to do mass change in routing not in master recipe.

As far as i know it is not possible to use CEWB for Master Recipe
coz there is no option for master recipe selection in working area of CEWB.

Mass Changes to Rate Routing

Dear All,
We were trying to carry out mass changes to Rate Routing,
by using CA85N we were able to make changes to Normal routing but not rate routing, in CA85N we were able to select only three types of task lists ie N, S & Q. Also checked in CWEB here also only the three types of task lists were provided for selection. Is there any other way for carrying out mass changes to rate rouitng, or settings in the above transactions.

In my understanding only CEWB can help you to some extent,otherwise you may have to develop some
BDC's or LSMW's.

Mass change for QM at operation level in routing

Dear Experts,
I have to carry out mass change for Quality Management at operation level in routing. The steps that I am carrying out for an individual record are as follows.
1.     CA02
2.     Inspection point 100 is maintained at header level
3.     Go to operation level
4.     At operation level work center and control key have been maintained
5.     Double click on operation
6.     When I scroll down here I go to Quality Management: Inspection Points view.
7.     There by default in Insp.pointCompletion system shows the option as u201CQuantity, valuation (production) and radio button selected default indicates u201CQty-relatedu201D
8.     I want to change these options as only u201CValuationu201D and u201CNo relationu201D respectively
My queries are,
1.     Is there any T-code available to carry out these changes in mass?
2.     Is it possible to do this without any Z development?
I am doubtful about using LSMW here. I would be highly grateful to you if someone can help me step by step.

I tried CWBQM. Unfortunately could not succeed. I think may not be feasible through CWBQM.
But I came across T-Code CEWB . There I opted "SAP_OPERATION" as working area and it worked. Its quite useful T-Code.

Hi
While entering the selection criteria make sure that you are entering the correct selection parameters. Since the routing exist in CA32, it will be come in CA95N also. Please try with correct selection parameters.

Changes in Routing

Dear Experts,
I am having one issue, my client want to change routings.
Previous routings contains 'X' work center, now for some materials i want to change this X to Y, X to Z, and X to A, and routing data is very huge, also i am not able to get the current routings by abap program or from Query, because all the entries are not coming correctly in output, some new entries coming and some are not getting displayed, i have made a query using MAPL PLKO PLAS PLPO CRHD, and my requirement is Material Number Group Group Counter and Work center, but the data is not coming correctly even from ABAP program, it is not possible by CA85 because data is almost more than 1 lack routing and its BDC also not working, so guide me in this, how do i get the correct current data from the system is my biggest worry, guide me in this.

Dear Devidas,
1.First check the report CA51 to identify the routing details.
2.Make use of CA80 and CA85N for identifying the where used list of work center and mass change of work center.
Check and revert back.

Hi Shujaat,
Try the following:
T.code: MASS
In the new screen, give business object as KNA1 (for customers), and click on execute.
Under the tab "Tables", select the table KNKA (Customer master credit management: central data) and click on the tab "Fields".
You will be routed to a screen where you have to give all the customer numbers and their respective credit control areas, for whom who wish to change the credit limit. Then click execute.
In the new screen, there will be an icon "Select fields". Click on it, and select the field "Individual limit" and press enter. Beside "New values" give the new credit limit. Finally click on "Carry out a mass change"
Save the changes.

Change the routing assigned to a job by program

Is there an API, or any procedure which allow to change by program the routing of a WIP job (validate the changes and replace the primary routing which imply replace the old operations and resources by the alternate routing resources and operation, and reschedule the job) ?
The purpose is to Mass change the routings on jobs (for example: change the routing of all the unreleased jo of an item category).

You have to:
- eliminate the stock of that material/batch
- mark the batch master with deletion flag
- archive the batch master

After archiving you should be alble to do a GR with same batch number for another material...hopefully...

MASS CHANGE OF ROUTINGS ON UNRELEASED JOBS

Hello,
I would like to change the routing on the jobs on items assigned to an item category.
I would like to know if this operation must be done job by job, using the Discrete job screen, tab Routing, or if it is possible to do a mass update
using a standard procedure, or using the standard work order interface ?

I think you may be able to use the Engineering Change order (ECO) functionality of the Engineering module to accomplish this. Even the BOM module contains some of the functionality.

Customized mass change doesnt work

Hi All,
I have customized the mass change field group to add 2 new date fields. I have also redefined a Z class of CL_CRM_BSP_MKTPL_ACC_TREE to respond when the "Save" is clicked after mass change.
In this class, I have used standard methods like cl_crm_mktpl_appl_base->eew_basic_data_assign_change, cl_crm_mktpl_date_assignment=>write_dates
which allow me to change the assigned dates. It also displays the message "data saved"
So, when I open the marketing object after mass change, i see the updated dates, but when I open the project again, the dates are reset to old ones. I even tried using "COMMIT WORK" after the mass change code.
Is there anything i am missing ? Is it changing dates only in the buffer ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Manish,
If you have not posted any activity or goods to the production order, then in header click on Functions -> Read PP Master Data.
The order will now read the routing with the new work centers, provided the same has been changed.
If you have posted some activities or goods movement done, then its a manual process.

If in case you have posted some goods or confirmed some activity, check if you can reverse the same, re-read the routing & then post back the goods.
