Mass Change of Functional Locations - error message "Objekt PM_MASS.....

Hi Experts,
We have activated autorization object I_MASS - to make it possible to carry out Mass Change on Functional Locations.
The menu patch are now visible - but I get error message "Objekt PM_MASS_TECH_OBJECTS is not maintained"
How is that done in SLG0 - any one have experience?

Please check whether or not there is view missing error recorded in dev_w0 trace file.
if there is , you can try to follow this procedure in order to manually
import the missing view definitions.
All steps must be carried out with the <sid>adm user of the target
system and from the install-directory:
1. In the install-directory
<sapinst_instdir>\...COPY\IMPORTT\SYSTEM\ABAP\ORA\UC\DB
create a file SAPVIEW.cmd with the following content:

Hi,
Without investigating deeper for this specific error message, I can say that the messages that cannot be maintained through OBA5 will in some cases remain in the system even if maintained in OBMSG. If message is not allowed for change in OBA5 and there is no OSS note regarding this message, it means that SAP designed it this way. Changing the nature in OBMSG (which is not standard or recommended SAP operation) will not always save the problem; the message could be simply hard-coded in the program with 'E' attribute.

Got it thanks macjack . Command + S on restart.
In this case Nad69-Breizh did you try restarting with the option key down and re-selecting the boot drive.
If no Recovery option, try command option R for internet recovery. Takes some time to load up.

I looked at the first link, and it looks like you might be missing quotes around the $Node.ActionAccount part of the comparison, which would cause the script block creation to fail. Maybe change the sections that look like this:

Photoshop Elements 8 "Watch Files" function produces error message

My new PE8 is on a Windows 7 laptop and my pictures are on a networked server operating under Windows XP. The Windows file sharing works fine and I have successfully imported all pictures into the new PE 8 organiser catalogue. So far so good. However, when I try to implement "Watch Folders" by using the "Browse" command, the correct path "\\server\Data (D)\Server-pictures\" comes into the "Watch Folders" window. Then, when I click on "OK",I receive an errror massage: "The Watch Folder Service returned an error "Access is denied". Does anyone have a solution to the problem?

Thank you very much. I will try that tomorrow (I'm in Germany and its getting late!). Please can you tell me how to apply the "UNC syntax (\\mycomputer\photos)" you mention to the path which the Browse command in the Watch Folders set-up produces. That is: " \\Server\Data_(D)\Server_Pictures\".
Also if you have another clue about how to deal with the change to "Services" it would help a lot. I have tried to do as you suggest and after I've put the user password in, I get a message "System Service Management could not detirmine whether the account "Admin1-pc\Tom" already has the Log on as a Service right. If not the Service might ot run correctly" When I restart the service I sure enough get the error message "1069 Windows could not start the service due to log on failure". Changing the APEX framework Error Message

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I am faced with a security issue where I need to hide any and all APEX framework error messages. Specifically, I need to hide the error messages on the screen you get when trying to access an application that doesnt exists (the whitescreen with the red "x"). This had been implemented already in the past, however, the 4.2 upgrade knocked it out. To change this in 4.1.1 is just a matter modifying the APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_ERROR package.
Does anyone have any suggestions here? Any and all would be appreciated!

What is the specific security issue you are facing?
This sounds like a generic penetration test, perhaps something along the lines of "Error messages reveal the underlying technology" or "Error messages can contain information helpful to an attacker". This is because of the ORA- messages. I would push back on this and see if you can argue the point that;
a) The technology can not be hidden, we (for example) have written detection routines for nessus to detect APEX without relying on any error output.
b) Ask for a *specific* example where the framework error message has lessened the security posture of the application/framework.
c) If you cannot then you really do need help to ensure that any changes/patches to the framework do not decrease application stability. What is the risk to the business? Can the business accept this low risk?
d) Just because somebody saw an 'ORA-01403: no data found' message once doesn't instantly mean you are insecure.
Though saying that, it would be a good feature to suggest, certainly a 'turn all errors off' might easily combat these types of over-zealous security reports: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=55447

Opening XLSX Files in change-Modus calls up Error message

Good Morning Community,
we are facing problems whenever we're trying to open Documents in our Business Blueprint Structure (SOLAR01) which are stored as document type XLSX.
The error message popping up reads as follows:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\SAPUSERNAME\AppData\Local\SAP\SAPGUI\tmp\001E0B76A9901ED0BAE62769F63D9E0A\OLY-SD-document types.xlsx' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.
Funnily the error message has no consequence, the document still opens in Excel (2003, which we have in use in our company, whilst the original file, created by our external consultants, is in Office 2010 format), but we would like to get rid of that message. I already tried the solution suggested in Office 2007 Document Attaching in Solution Manager , but to no avail.
Does anyone else have similar difficulties and probably already found a solution? And no, upgrading to Office 2010 is out of scope

It looks like there is a problem with your SAP GUI installation on the client.
Did you check this already?
During our project for the Office2010 upgrade I have checked all combinations of different installations:
Office2003 on a WinXP-32-client and on a WinXP-64 client
Office2010 on a WinXP-32-client and on a WinXP-64 client
SolMan documents in Office2003 format
SolMan documents in Office2010 format
All run well if SAPGUI release 720 has been correctly installed on the clients. Older versions don't work!
You find more information for SAPGUI 720 in the sapnotes 1393114 and 66971.
But I recommend to install Office2010 because there is some more trouble in SolMan functionality caused by Office2010 documents and using Office2003, e.g. generating the test report. Therefore we don't use 2010-files until all clients have upgraded to Office2010.

It seems there is very less info on how can we over ride default bundle message for the "Invalid Value" error we get
however you can create your validator for LOV and handle the validation and message in that..
Here is the link that provides a good detail on how to create / register a validator.
Once registered you can update the Validator ID of f:validate of LOV and remove the binding property value.

We have a requirement to change the text of description of Error Message definition which are out of the box.

Code---- ------DOBJ.ACT_DUPLICATE_ORGNAME
Description---Organization Name Already Exists
I want to cahnge the description to some other text.
Please suggest how to do it.
When we are trying to edit it directly from error message definition it is not happening and error is coming saying
"The security level for this data item indicates that it cannot be updated"
