Mass creation of Marketing attributes under attribute set

Hi All,
Please let me know if there is a possibility for mass creation of Marketing attributes and marketing attribute sets in SAP CRM Standard functionality.
I am not talking about below " creation & assignment to BPs using the expert tools. "
CRMD_PROF_CHAR Create/Change Marketing attribute/set
CRMD_MKTDS Create datasource/attributre list
Create marketing attribute and maintain in Business Partner.
CRMD_MKT_TOOLS you can use this to delete/assign mass marketing attributes to BP.
we can go for a BDC program, But I want to keep that as a last option.
Please help and suggest me if there is any standard way of creating or uploading the Mass Marketings attributes in CRM system.

Cannot delete attribute from attribute set

I removed all business partners associated to the marketing attribute using Marketing Expert Tools, which I've done in the past with no problems. I then went to the attribute set and removed the attribute that I want to delete, but when I tried to save the system told me that I could not do it in dialog as there are more than 400 business partners associated to the attribute set (not attribute but the attribute set). It said I needed to run report RMCLMDEL, which is in CL6K transaction.
Is there any other way to remove this attribute without having to run that report?

Thanks for the tip, however, I must not have made myself clear in my message. I had already tried that and although it seems to work once you actually go back to the attribute set the system still will not allow you to delete the attribute from the set if the attribute set is associated with more than 400 business partners.
I also found OSS Note 772711 question 4 that validates this. I guess I will have to use the CL6K transaction afterall. Once again, thanks for your input

No description displayed for attributes under user settings

All,
We want default settigns for Requistioner under User setting. We added Plant, Ship to address and Requistioner(as GR recipient) attributes under user settings, but we are not able to see the descriptions of Ship to address and Requisitiner attribute.
Do i need to do any changes in configuration.

I made flag as default and saved the changes under user setitins.
now when i create SC, this default recipient is not picking up.
if all the users in the organization wants to see all the recipient, do i want to mainitain all the user ids in root org unit or there is any other way to display all recipient
one more question, i am not able to see description for Delivery address also, we can see only number. what config changes need to be done to see delivery address description

Get values from attributes of property sets

Hi!
Anyone know how to obtain values of attributes from property sets? Now I am using directly the EJBs but I would like to use tags (I found <ps:getPropertyNames> but it doesn´t give me the values) Any idea?

I am not sure if this is exactly what you mean but you can get the values of properties with the user management tags <um:getProperty> and <um:getPropertyAsString>. You are correct, though, in that the
<ps:getPropertyNames> tag only returns the names of the properties.

How to Change an Attribute of A SET TYPE in SAP CRM

Hi ,
I have created an ATTRIBUTE through comm_attrset, and assigned it to a SET TYPE. Now I wanted to change the data type of this attribute. Its not allowing me to delete it, as its already assigned to teh SET TYPE. Moreover the set type is also not getting deleted as its assigned to a category ID.
Kindly let me know how can I change the attibute , if any one of you have come accross such situation.

Hi Manish,
From my experience, you cannot change an existing attribute of a set type (esp. when it has a dependency).
You need to delete the attribute, save the changes and then re-create the attribute with new value table.
Also remove any dependencies before deleting the attribute.

EEWB (attributes from product set type)

Hi gurus,
I have a question about EEWB. Could you please help me.
There is possibility to add components (attributes from product set type) at item level:
Business object - BUSINESS_TRANSACTION
Extension Type - ADD_NEW_ITEM_COMPONENT.
Ive created an extension with certain set type (it consists of 2 attributes). Everything was ok. New fields with 2 attributes have been added to new tab in a sales orders item.
But then Ive added 1 new attribute to the same set type. So I think this new attribute is to appear on the same tab with 2 other attributes. But it doesn'tt!
Ive regenerated my extension, Ive recalled wizard for this extension. Nothing has changed. There is still only 2 attribute in the tab.
So is it normal situation and is it necessary to create a new extension in order new fields to appear in a tab? Or I can do something else without creating the new extension?
So could you help me and give any solutions. Appreciate any help.

"No bean found under attribute key" exception when a JSP is not accessed

HI,
We are using weblogic 7.1 SP6, Oblix and TRC struts in our application. During normal access to various pages system works fine. When the application is not accessed for 30 minutes system displays session expired exception. But some time when a page is not accessed for some time, say 15 - 20 minutes and user clicks any link system displays a exception dump in the screen. The exception displays for pages with track changes. The exception starts with following line
[ServletException in:/jsp/include/Header.jsp] No bean found under attribute key HomepageFormBean' javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: No bean bound under attribute key HomePageFormBean at org.apache.struts.taglib.logic.CompareTagBase.condition(CompareTagBase.java:221) at org.apache.struts.taglib.logic.EqualTag.condition(EqualTag.java:90)
After closing the window and tried to access the same page then the system works fine. The above exception is intermittent.
Any help is highly appreciated.

How to set Max Rows when I search extended attribute in Admin Setting?

When I search extended attributes in Admin Setting, the default max row is 500.

We don't have a feature config for this in the core application, however you can adjust the 500 limit using a ready report. Ready Reports is a solution pack that allows you to create saved searches in the form of reports. You can get the ready reports solution pack in the latest extensibility pack.

PPR - Additional attributes on existing Set type are not displayed.

Hi Expert,
I have requirement to add some fields to Product to display in PPR product tab. I have added attributes to existing Set type which is already configured to display on PPR - Product tab. After adding the new attributes, I regenerated Set type but still in CRMM_PPR I don't see these new fields although the existing attributes of set type are on screen.
Any idea what I am missing?

Can you show the relevant JSP code and set/get methods in the bean?
Sometimes this error is caused by capitalization. e.g. a request param of "myName" calls setMyName(). Also, your bean must have a no arguments constructor.
Also, if you don't specify an action,the form submits to the current URL so you should be ok. Are you sure that the JSP runs when the user submits the form?

Attribute cant be set?

hai, i tried to set an attribute in my servlet program. but it is not set. i have used totally five setAttribute functions,but among them only four sets the attribute. is there any limit for setting the attributes through servlet?
DisplayClass dispClass=new DisplayClass();---------------------->my class which control the look and feel;
ArrayList tempArray=objQuery.retrieveData(vecValue,table,2);---->tempArray is not null.it retrieves value.
strCombo=dispClass.populateCombobox(tempArray);----------->returns a string to strCombo
System.out.println("Return value"+strCombo);-------------> the return values is printed here and it is not null.
req.setAttribute("strCombo",strCombo);---------------------> this attribute is always set null. here it is not setting the value in strCombo.
objQuery is the object of the class which handles all sql functionalities.
anybody who knows the solution please help me out. thank you...

Restricting keyfigure attributes under an authorisation relevant characs.

Hello Experts,
As per our business requirment, we need to restrict attributes under a particular characteristic through the authorisations. Attributes are key figures. The characteristic has been marked as authorisation relevant.
The scenario is, we have 5 attributes under one authorisation relevant characteristic. Requirement is security should restrict the authorisations in such a manner wherein when a user executes this particular query he should be able to view only 2 out of those 5 attributes and and a special authorisation would in turn give them access to remaining three attributes (Keyfigures).
Can we restrict a characteristic at the keyfigure level?
I am struggling with designing the security for this requirement. I would appreciate if someone could really help me. In anticipation of your reply. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your inputs. Just a thought that clicked my mind, if we are going to create a new infoprovider which will be a copy of this primary infoprovider can we restrict the access and the infoprovider level. i.e we will be removing these sensitive atributes from the primary infoprovider and add the same in the newly created infoprovider. So the users who would have access to these new infoprovider will be able to view the sensitive attributes and users who are not accessed to this new infoprovider will not be able to view the sensitive keyfigures. This would save the efforts of filling the infoprovider by a virtual keyfigure..Need your view on this approach.
Also Dirk, I checked in our legacy BW3.5 system, there was an customised authorisation object created through RSSM tcode and a field 1KYFNM was updated by the corresponding values for these sensitive keyfigures. There were characteristics related to these sensitive attributes in OLD system which also exist in the upgraded BI system that were mainatined in this 1KYFNM field.
If this approach worked in the legacy BW system, can this same approach be implemented in BI system through RSECADMIN. If yes how,I tried at my level but unfortuantely was not able to restrict at an individual attribute level. Can you please guide if you have any leads on this..

MASS CREATION OF INFOOBJECTS IN BI 7.0

Hello Gurus,
Here is my scenario:
we have more than 100 new Z fields in R/3 (Tables: KONV, KONP, VBRP) and we are populating those. We maintained the Datasources with that fields. Now we need to develop new infoobjects in BW for those Z fields. Is there any possible way for mass creation of infoobjects.
I searched about this, but most of them were used only for 3.5 data source.(eg: CTBW_META - transaction for mass creation of infoobjects in bw 3.5)
Please anyone help me in solving this !

One option I thought of, but never applied in practice. Create an excel with all the field related information in the structure of table,

You will be returned anything that is in the option's value parameter. What is displayed in the dropdown and what is put in the value attribute do NOT need to be the same, so maybe you should start there.

Quality info record mass creation

Hello Guys,
Can we able to do mass creation of quality info records thru QI06 ? I want to load bunch of QIR as a manual load.
I tried using qi06 in add option but I am getting a warning message that QIR is not changed.
Is that only we can change it ? Pls help.

You can use this program to make mass changes to quality information records. When adding records, you can enter one or several materials. As a rule, the only materials used for processing are those for which QM in Procurement is active in the material master and a vendor release or quality assurance agreement is required by the control key.
You can also select the materials using the material class.
You can enter one or more vendors, for whom a quality information record is to be created.
Using the selection criterion 'Only for purchasing info records', you can create quality information records for all possible material-vendor combinations, provided that purchasing information records already exist for these combinations.
That means first of all you must enter Procurement key in QM view of that Material
Second if you select multiple vendor for a material or maultiple materials with single Vendor.
if you execute this then You will get the list of all possible vendor material combination for which QI can be maintained.
by selecting line you can save them.
The quality info records printed in the list have a traffic light indicator which denotes the following:
Green light: - All data is O.K.
Yellow light: - Ordered quantity is greater than released quantity
        - There is no quality assurance agreement
        - Lock function is active
        - Validity period of QM system has expired
Red light:    - Deletion flag is set
You can select the "Set deletion flag"
function using the menu
