Mass Download of content

I was wondering if there is a way to download ALL content from a site without having to go to every single course/track and "get all." Is there an application out there? Is there an easy way to download ALL content in one shot? I am the admin for my universities site and one of my hard drives crashed which had a good portion of my exports that I had uploaded to iTunes U. I had a folder organized so in case I needed to upload the content again I had the file. My hard drive crashed without any warning and I lost A LOT of the exported files that I used to get the content on iTunes U. I would rather not go to every track/course and manually download.
Any help would be great.

It's possible, but just a bit tricky.
About a half-year ago, I got a request (I think from North Carolina) for help with something similar. What that project involved was copying a course from a private site to a public site. I actually worked on an application that could do just that…I got about 75% of the way done with it, but then got distracted/yelled at to get back to the work that pays the rent (iTunes U is almost more hobby than anything).
What you're asking is similar in principle, just bigger in scope. The hard part is figuring how to do automated downloads (it is not formally part of the iTunes U web service)…but with some advice from a friend of Duncan's, I actually found out that it's simpler than it seems. The trick is pulling a download URL from an RSS container that Apple supplies for each simple group…it's just a matter of parsing Apple's feeds and following them.

Hi Neil,
there is no standard functionality available for mass download. For a customer we have made a program to extract the binary content of documents to UNIX. Afterwards we used samba share to transfer the files to windows environment. Function ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_BYTES can be used for the binary content.

Mass downloading after installation from a disk

I recently bought Premiere Elements 12 on a disk. Installation went smoothly and the program seems to run just fine. However, whenever I am running the program, a program that I have called BitMeter (a program that tracks Internet usage) show mass downloading. I tried restarting the program and even rebooting the computer but still, every time i run the program, it starts to download. It doesn't seem to be downloading anything, Premiere Elements doesn't say that it's downloading anything and the folder that it is installed into hasn't grown in size. I left it downloading for a while and after 2GB it was still going. Since I installed off of a disk i can't see any reason why it would need to download anything that large. Is there any reason why Premiere Elements 12 would be downloading anything after installation from a disk?

I do not know if you got to Content in the program. Much of it has to be downloaded before use. But, it would appear that it is on demand and not downloaded until you demand it. The Online Folder that contains the downloadable content runs several GBs.

I am not sure what you might be picking up with your BitMeter program.
It would be interesting to hear Adobe's comment on this. We are not Adobe. Just Premiere Elements users trying to help other Premiere Elements users with their Premiere Elements workflows.
What you might try, wild guessing, open the Elements Organizer 12, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Media Analysis and shut off all the AutoAnalyzer options and everything else under Media Analysis. Then observe what happens, if anything, to your program activity. Have you started using the Adobe Revel feature?

HT3209 Unable to Download HD Content

I am somewhat confused and VERY irritated. I have been dealing with the iTunes Library sharing not working since upgrading the software on my Apple TV as well as iTunes, but now on top of that, I can't even download a purchased HD movie to my laptop. I cannot wait over 3 hours while the movie downloads and buffers in the background before I can watch it, what would be the point?
I have a Windows Vista Professional laptop at home. I am saving up for an iMac, but they are quite pricy, and if I am going to purchase one, I want to get the top of the range, so it will be a little while yet before I can afford to get it.
Either way, between my husband and I, we have 3 iphone 4's, a 4S, 2 iPhone 5's, an iPod Nano, an iPod Touch, 1 iPad 2nd Generation, 1Pad 3rd Generation, and 2 3rd Generation Apple TV's.
We don't have a very fast internet connection at home, and I am not going to upgrade it, but we have always coped, because I download our purchases onto the local network, and we are then able to stream the content without much delay.
HOWEVER, since yesterday, I am receiving the following notification when attempting to download an HD movie purchased:

I'm not entirely sure this will solve your problem, but . . . here's what I did to be able to download purchased HD movies onto my pc whn I got the 3 button option you described and I quoted.
Open iTunes and click on the iTunes Store shopping bag. Now, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Purchased" (Important - this is not the "Purchased" playlist thing under the shopping bag). You should see all the movies you've purchased. Go down and "un-check" the box that says "Download HD when available". You can now download your purchased in HD movies on your computer in non HD format. They can now be played via airplay to your atv, but not in HD unless you cloud play them.
I'm still bothered that I can't download the format I paid for, but this is certainly better than waiting for my apple tv to finish buffering.
If there's a better solution I hope someone will share.

I don't understand. If having service in your home IS important to you and you already know Verizon's policy, why have you not instead started to search for carriers which cover your home? It seems a pretty easy decision to me, at least.

How do I Download Additional Content

Hi...I've got a MacBook Pro running OS X Mountain Lion fully patched and updated. I'm not usually a Mac user but I'm fairly comfortable with it when I do...I know enough to be a Power User. I purchased/downloaded Mainstage 3 today. It prompted me after the install to Download Additional Content but I had to restart due to some other updates I was running so I just figured I'd be able to do it when I was finished with the restart.
Now, when Mainstage is open, I go to the MainStage 3 menu and the option for Download Additional Content is grayed out. Why is that. What am I missing. I figure I'm just missing something easy. I've perused the various support forums and manuals and haven't figured out why. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I would recomend removing (Deleting) Mainstage and re-install from the App store, keep in mind the initial install is about 2-3 GB download, and then the additional content is about 30 GB.
To remove a Mac App Store app that appears in Launchpad
Follow these steps while you are logged in with an administrator account:
Enter Launchpad.
Click and hold on an icon until you see all icons jiggle.
Click the "x" button in the upper-left of the Mac App Store app icon you want to delete.
Note: If you do not see an "x" button, either the app is not from the Mac App Store or you are logged in as a standard user.
Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to delete the app.
Tip: If you want to reinstall a deleted app, open Mac App Store, click the Purchases icon, then click on the "Install" button for the app.

Downloading blob content from a custom table

In our hosted Apex application, the following code from the Application Express Developer's Guide works great for allowing a user to download blob content from one of our custom tables via a download button. However, the code doesn't work on the Oracle Cloud because the "owa_util" package is no longer available. The code is as follows:

Besides using web services, does anyone know of a way to do this? Is there a way to add access to the "owa_util" package in the cloud? I have also tried apex_util.get_blob_file_src but that is also unavailable in the Oracle Cloud.

Following Joel's advice:
The way I solved this was to split the code between two page processes and one application process. The download button first calls a page process to move the report data into a blob column and then calls another page process which is of "run application process" type. This calls the application level process where the download code, shown below, is called.
Notice the following changes to the code from the one posted earlier (also from Joel)
1) added sys.htp.init;
2) "sys." to all htp, owa and wpg_docload calls
3) added apex_application.stop_apex_engine; after the wpg_docload statement at the bottom of the script.
Now the download button launches a "save as" dialog box and the report content is downloaded to the client.
The code now looks like:

I have a requirement where my client want to mass download files from Archivelink
In detail
user will go to FB03 -> document list->dislay the report
then select all document and go to environment ->additional assignment->object links
The user can download the Invoice
Now the user wants to mass download the invoice for all the documents in document list output
I am new to this new concept
I just want to whether the user is DMS or Archivelink or GOS to store the files
If the client is using DMS how to mass download the invoice of the document?
If the client is using Archivelink how to mass download the invoice of the document?
If the client is using GOS how to mass download the invoice of the document?
I searched in few blogs and I found that it suggestable to go for a custom report to mass download the invoice?
Is my decision correct ?

Hi Pawan,
Standard SAP does not provision mass download of attachments to standard tcodes.
You may need to develop customer code

you will get the byte format of the pdf form the pdf source attribute , create a resource using that byte data of type pdf as following

create a context element say fileresource of type iwdresource.
set it's value as following.

SCCM/WSUS 2007 01-2015 Bulletin Patching issue. Some clients patch just fine, some will not download the content.

Bit new to the admin side, so please excuse some ignorance.
We have approx 6000 end points. We setup this months patches and a couple out of cycle ones we noticed. We are getting a TON of clients that will not patch. They are getting the defintions but when we attempt to run the advertised
patches they fail approx 10 seconds later. However, some servers on the same boundry will patch just fine. We get the error message in the logs that when the client was told to download the content from the DP, it spits out error that content does
not exist. The DPs we believe are having the issues are MPs as well sitting in DMZ. We have 2 sites configured basically the same, both DP/MPs in DMZ are the ones having the issues. We have confirmed clients are able to connect anon to the
DP/MP. But again, some clients are patching just fine.
UpdatesDeployment.log has the following warning listed 7 times.
Not refreshing update presence state as error CI Info status received
But yet does see that it needs 7 patches.
EnumerateUpdates for action (UpdateActionInstall) - Total visible updates = 7
No other logs show any errors on the clients. I have confirmed the content is avalible on the DP/MP it is reporting too. Obviously though since other clients sitting right next to them work still.
Any ideas? Trying to avoid working all weekend. Thank you!

We checked every single log on every MP, DP, SS and many clients. For unknown reasons, deleteing and rebuilding the Jan update list did the trick.

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with Family Sharing. If you are getting the "valid payment" alert message when you alreadyt have a credit card on file, you may want to try re-entering the card details on the account, even if you know they are currently correct. iTunes Match can only be subscibed to, and upload music from, a computer - you won't be able to do it from your iPad.
You should be able to copy the music back from your iPad to a new computer, and you may find these two pages useful for doing so :

Music purchased from iTunes can be copied to a computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, and for music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) there are some programs listed half-way down that second article that should be able to copy them back.
