Mass Effect 2 - Echo-y sound in Win7 64bit.

+. I recently installed Windows 7 64bit and started playing Mass Effect 2 again. I have an X-Fi Xtreme Music card and the sound in the game is very echo-y, which it wasn't when I played it under WinXP. It sounds like you're in a metal lunchbox. I have the same exact settings in the X-Fi Console as I did in XP. I tried switching off EAX, CMSS-3D, Crystalizer, and Bass Boost, with none of those affecting the echo sound. Any ideas?

after a recent HP update i lost sound from speakers, trouble shoot says everything working fine.

Get your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key or check the Service Tag attached to bottom, may be under battery.

IMO he's got a point the ending has nothing to do with the choices you did through out the game, which was advertised.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer - thoughts?

I'll admit I am a Mass Effect fanboy. It's just something about the space genre, building a crew, saving galaxies, and abilities that throw people across the room I guess. My co-workers probably get annoyed with me hyping it up all the time. I totally follow Casey Hudson, the Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series, on twitter (@CaseyDHudson). You should too.
Anyways, Casey recently announced that there will in fact be multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. This is a controversial subject for fans of the Mass Effect series because, up until now, every game has been solely single-player and debatably one of the best RPG/Action/Adventure/Shooter experiences out there.
I think the fear is that Bioware would have to compromise some of that greatness in order to implement multiplayer capabilities. From what it sounds like, the multiplayer will be more along the lines of co-operative play rather than PvP. I have mixed feelings but I am confident in Bioware's ability to meet the desires of their gamers.
Any other ME fans out there? What do you think?

In my personal opinion, it will be like the Bioshock 2 multiplayer. I am also a Mass Effect Fangirl and I think it's a great concept, but I don't know if it will fly. I tried out the Bioshock 2 multiplayer, and wasn't really impressed. The Big Daddy mode was fun, but I don't necessarily think it added any significant value to the game.
I think this will be similar to adding multiplayer to ME3. Will it add significant value? How will it be unique to ME? If it flops and doesn't make any impact to ME3 as a whole, could it potentially hurt the overall awesomeness of the game?
Those are my questions.

Taking an echo-ee sound out of a voice clip

Does anyone have a suggestion on what filter to use to take an echo-ee sound of a voice clip. Every thing I try just seems to enhance or do nothing to diminish the echo-ee sound.

Removing echo is next to impossible in post. You could try a noise gate, but unless you have very little echo and are willing to spend a lot of time tweaking the settings, it will just end up sounding choppy. You're best bet is a reshoot with proper mic placement in a better environment.

TS1424 Apple stole $3 off me when I got mass effect infiltrator

I didn't have enough memory on my iPod when I bought mass effect 3 infiltrator so I deleted some apps. When I tried downloading the game again, I find out that I already got charged but it doesn't show any signs that I purchased it.

The first link is for a different country's App Store. Note that the URL for the game in the Swedish App Store is different. URLs can differ from country to country, even for the same item.
If you encounter problems with finding apps in the future, try the Power Search in the iTunes Store. That's how I found the game you were looking for.

@zztoluca ME is one of the few series that I would tell to play through the first 2 games first.
Right now BBY has ME2 for $20. The @gamer magazine has a $15 off coupon so it makes ME2 $5. These coupons are only good in store and if you just purchase the mag it is $5 for magazine (or $15 for RZ gamers club unlocked which includes the first months mag for free that day in store and a year sub to the mag).
If your local BBY has ME2 I would at least grab that for $10 (which includes the mag).
This months mag is amazing this week as it also has a $15 off Rage making it $5 after coupon and $20 off Batman: Arkham City which makes it $10 after coupon. You can get 2 amazing games and 1 good game for $25 which includes buying the mag. Simply AMAZING.

Mass Effect 3 Midnight Release?

Okay I'm sorry for doing this cause I'm sure EVERYONE is asking about it but the truth is that I'm from a somewhat small town and I've heard that some Best Buy stores are having a midnight release for Mass Effect 3. So here's my question.

Hi. I recently pre-ordered a copy of the Mass Effect 3 collector's edition. After a week or so, I cancelled my pre-order because i thought that i would just run out to a best buy on it's release date to get it since i've had experiences in the past when Best Buy doesn't hold my copy. But then i changed my mind and wanted to preorder a day later when i find out about the free $20 so i try to preorder but they tell me that they stopped taking pre-orders for it even when they still had copies available. So they told me that if i came on the release date and if they had any collector's editions left then they would upgrade me from the standard. However, the thing im afraid of is that they won't have any to sell on the release date after seeing the high demand of this game... I would really appreciate it if you can tell me if the Best Buy store in Oceanside, CA and San Marcos, CA are having a midnight release for the game, and if they will have any collector's editions to sell on the release date. And if so how many copies each store. I've been freaking about the past few days cuz I'm a huge Mass Effect fan! Thank you!

Why is it that there's only the Xbox 360 and PS3 edition of the Mass Effect 3 Collector's (N7) Edition, but for the PC their is only the standart edition. This makes no sense to me since generally the PC editions of Mass Effect sell more than the console editions.

Ive been hearing recently that best buy is not haveing a midnight relese for mass effect 2, is that true or is it just not announced yet?

There may not be an official mightnight release but that doesn't mean a local store isn't going to. I'd suggest to call your local store. Hope this helps!

Mass effect 3 pre order confusion.

I got Mass effect 3 pre ordered from the store, not online, and it seems like they only give the bonus to the online deal. I ask cause I didn't even get anything for pre ordering at store and just thought it should of came with something. Did it come with something that I was just unaware of?

It came with argus code and $10 eGC ($20 if gamers club unlocked member).
The argus code should have been given to you on the receipt. The eGC is set to be emailed by 3/25.
If you did not get the argus code look at the sticky on the top of the forum for instructions on how to get it.
You shouldn't have received the eGC yet, but if you don't receive it by the 25th then post in here or better would be the reward zone gamers club board
