Mass Maint. of price list  categories

Please explain the uses of  'Mass Maint. of price list  categories' option in PFCG -> utilities.

Hello Keerti,
I have never used the assignment of licenses via roles since it doesn't fit in our licensing concept,
but:
1) I think there will be now difference except the way how you assign the license
2) I would prefere user licensing...
For sap a user typically has one role that describes all his activities. But in our small company we have many user with acivities cross applications. So we cannot use sap standard role concept. Instead I have created a structure based on our company organization and use multiply roles to combine a end user role.
Think also about DUMMY users (for example for background processing or mailing) - normally these users need permissions for the corresponding applications but you will license them as test users.
3) when you look at the predefinied values you will see that there is not really a great number of preassigned roles
4) you can add your own roles to the list of license/role assignment
5) no idea, just try..

  • Mass updating/uploading of a price list

    Hi,
Need to know if there is a way to mass update a price list. For example, I have 1000 items on price list 3. I need to update the prices of all items in the list and there is no definete factor. Since there is no definete factor I need to update all manually and since there are many items, need to know if there is a way to upload the prices for a specific price list.
also need to know if there is any way to update the "Last Purchase price" list
    thanks for any help !

    Hi,
thanks for the details. I still have an issue on this. I have used the templates and tried to upload the price list and face the following problem.
First, I am not clear as to what the field "LineNum" in the "Item_Prices" template means. I assumned that this was the price list number, but even though the upload says that all items were successfully updated, I cannot find any price list that has the updated prices... all lists still have the same old price... : (
Now I am confused... Need some help on the below:
    1. LineNum : Is this the price list number ?
    2. I have manually maintained some of hte prices, can they be updated ?
    3. What about the prices that are taken as a factor of a base list ( like 1.3x Last purchase price...)
Need some help urgently on this please...
    Thanks !

  • New Requirement Price List

    Dear Sap gurus,
I posted yesterday the same queries, but i c the comment from sap gurus that my requirement is not very clear.
My Requirement is to create a new pricing list type ( Field: PLTYP) FOR A particular sales organisation.
Pls let me know the config steps how to create and assign it.
    Pls advice me on this
    Regards
    Phani

    Dear Friend,
Price LIst Type 9Category) can be defined at:
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Pricing - Maintain Price-Relevant Master Data Fields - Define price list categories for customers.
Here you can define Price List Categories (Types).
These Proce LIsts Types can be selected at Sales Order - Item Details - Sales B Tab - Price LIst field under Pricing & Statistics Tab.
Now this Proce LIst type is not defined for any particular Sales Organisation. But what you can do is while maintaining Condition Records, have a selection option of Sales Organisation.
I mean in the access sequence of Price condition record Sales Organisation in Condition Table.
Thus the Condition Record for a particular Price LIst would be valid for a particular Sales Organisation only.
    Hope this helps...

  • SD: Site Price list vs Customer price group

    Hello Gurus,
Can someone help me on this topic " :
The price list defined in customizing (T_Code OVSI, tab Define price list categories for customers) is used to group site in order to maintain the same condition (percentage or amount) for several sites. The price list could be assigned at site level (merchandise category tab) by merchandise category (WRF6-PLTYP_P). It means that the different merchandise categories  could be assigned to different site group.
But when we are talking about customer, we have to maintain the customer list (T_Code OVSI, tab Define pricing group for customers). The customer price group has to be maintained at customer level (KNVV-KONDA). Does it mean that at customer level we can not make the same split (by merchandise category) as it is possible to do it for the site price list? => For the customer, the customer price group is defined for all materials.
Is it correct or do I miss something ?
Furthermore what is the purpose of the Price list field displayed at customer level (KNVV-PLTYP)?
    Kind regards
    Chris

Both are not related to material
Price list -pltyp- generally used in giving discounts or surchage based on price list  (whole sale/retail price list)
Customer group (konda)/ material group( kondm) also used to divide customers and material in to different group - and in general these are used in fixing base price to the customer- customer group-ex: maharastra/AP/TN
    Material group: perishable/non perishable etc..
    Thanks

  • Inventory Price Lists Period and Volume Discounts

    Hi all
Is it possible to mass import Inventory Price Lists Period and Volume Discounts for all Items?
    Kedalene Chong

    Hi,
To get correct result, you need to split your existing records in maximum of 1000 records per import. If more than that, you may get incorrect update.
Please check SAP note for updating price list:

  • Price Lists in SD on Product Categories

    Hi !
I have the following business scenario;-
    Product Category: A with products:-
    A1, A2 , A3 etc
    Product Category: B with products:-
    B1,B2,B3 etc
The basic prices(condition type:PR00) for the products in category A are in the range:
    Rs 10,000 - Rs30,000.
The prices for the products in category B are in the range:
    Rs 40,000 - Rs60,000
The products from both categories are supplied to the same set of customers.
Can we create price lists in SD to map this scenario, particularly based on the product categories?
    Thanks.
Edited by: Shamik Sengupta on Jun 11, 2008 1:05 PM

    Dear Shamik Sengupta
In material master under Sales: sales org.2 view, there is a field *"Material pricing group".*
In IMG Path -- SD --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Pricing Control --> Mintain Price Relevant Master Data Fields --> Define Material groups.  Here create some group according to your requirement and assign it in the material master as cited above.
Now assuming that your condition is PR00, in V/07, maintain the table 029 so that your requirement can be met.
    thanks

  • Attach a New Price list with already booked Orders.

    hi...
I want to attach a new price list with already booked orders.
    How it can be done??
    please help...
    Sunita Behl

Assuming that your order is just booked and not part-shipped etc., the simplest method is to use the mass change feature from the classic Order Organizer to do this as I don't think changing at Order Header level will trigger a cascaded change to the lines (not in 11.5 anyway, you don't mention what release you're on).
Select the order lines you want to change (presumably all) and assign the new price list name + Calculate Price flag = 'Yes' + new pricing date if appropriate. After this has completed, it's a good idea to change at header level too otherwise any new lines added to your order will still default to the older price list.
Finally, if you've already acknowledged the order, you might also want to re-acknowledge with the price change.

  • Adv Pricing Price List help

    Hi,
I am relatively new to Adv Pricing and the great features it provide.
I was wondering if there is a way to maintain 1 single price list in Oracle and then be able to print out pricelist showing only a subset of items in the list?
Currently, I define 1 single master price list with 100 items. I see that the only "out of box" report is the "Price List Report" which only allows you to restrict the items based on “Start Date Active” and “End Date Active”.
Is there some other feature I can use to print/export only a subset of items based on either categories or some other functions?
    Greatly appreciate any pointers!!

    Hi,
I am not sure on which version you are but R12.1 provides a feature called Price Book.
Price book enables you to view and/or print pricing data for a specific customer.
-> A robust self service capability for users to generate and publish list of products with their related prices.
-> Uses Customer item cross reference number (when available) rather than the internal item number, making it easy for customer to identify the item
-> Published via printed report, online views, XML Messages and email.
For more information, refer to the OM Implementation Guide of R12.1 version.

  • Query for Price List changes

    Hi,
I need a query to get a listing of all sales orders where the pricing has been changed from the approved price list.
Also, a query to pull a list of changes to price tables that occurred in February, March, and June months of 2007.
Can anyone help me with this?
    thanks,
    Ashwathy

    Hi,
I agree with you, possible but not probable. In pricing, you can have prices for all items, for categories and for items. You can also have prices defined for a range of quantities in a UOM. Assuming your prices are defined in the list for items, in the same UOM product was ordered, the query would be like that for one order:
    select c.ordered_item, c.unit_list_price, c.unit_selling_price, a.operand
    from qp_list_lines a,
    qp_pricing_attributes b,
    oe_order_lines_all c
    where a.list_line_id = b.list_line_id
    and a.list_line_type_code = 'PLL'
    and b.product_attribute_context = 'ITEM'
    and b.product_attribute = 'PRICING_ATTRIBUTE1'
    and c.inventory_item_id = b.product_attr_value
    and c.pricing_quantity_uom = b.product_uom_code
    and a.arithmetic_operator = 'UNIT_PRICE'
    and c.header_id = :header_id
    and c.price_list_id = a.list_header_id
    and c.pricing_date between nvl(a.start_date_active,c.pricing_date)
    and nvl(a.end_date_active,c.pricing_date)
    Hope it helps,

  • Is there an API or Open Interface to convert Price Lists?

    Hi,
Is there an API or Open Interface to convert Price Lists?
What are the additional setups needed to do implement Price Lists ?
Im new to Advnaced Pricing and Order Managment.
    Thanks and Regards,
    MPH

There is the Price List Setup API (QP_Price_List_PUB.Process_Price_List) which you'll find details for in the Order Management APIs manual and the Price List Bulk Loader which is detailed in the QP user guide plus there's lots of good info and example scripts on My Oracle Support.
Apart from qualifying your price list header as per your business requirement (in other words, restricting its use to particular OUs, customers, products, order types etc.), in the simplest case the price list itself can be just a simple list of discrete items with their associated prices. However, you may also need to consider:
<li> Multicurrency - do you want to have multiple price lists, one for each currency, or one price list in a base currency with multicurrency conversions in the background? (the latter being much the easiest to maintain).
<li> Is your business requirement best served by pricing by discrete inventory item codes? by item categories? by pricing attributes? (this being the mapping of some properties of your data to a named pricing attribute, the value being collected from a lookup, entered at order entry, or derived via custom PL/SQL),
<li> Consider using secondary price lists if this allows your pricing information to be structured better
<li> Do you intend to enter a fixed value against each price list line or to calculate a price by way of a dynamic or static formula?
