Mass opt in all customers to a mailing list?

Hello,
A small percentage of the customers in my CRM are not subscribed to the mailing list because this was not checked on the last import, I have a newsletter scheduled for later today and need to mass opt in all customers to the list, as of this writing we have no unsubscribes. How do I go about getting this done?

Hi Andy,
We can action a master opt-in only from our end for contacts who haven't yet unsubscribed.

Hi Jason,
There's unfortunately no way to obtain such info through the existing API. The only way to do it is to export the contacts from the admin.

You have posted to the right forum. Also there is an OID mailing list inside Oracle, but unless you are an Oracle employee you cannot mail to it (even not from the outside).

How can I make a rule to mark all messages sent to Mail Trash as Read?
When I look at some emails on my phone, I can see from the title that I don't need to read the email so I delete it without opening it. When I go to my Macbook Pro and open mail, the number of unread messages in my Trash shows next to the name. It drives me nuts. Can I just set a rule to mark all messages sent to trash as read? If that isn't possible, I'd take just making the number not show beside the Trash folder.

Just in the case that I actually do need to go back to them for some reason. I have some OCD tendencies which is also why the number beside the folder drives me nuts.

Dunning Letter Email for all customers

Hi All, I need your help in my requirement, which goes like this :- In F150 tcode(ecc 6.0), which internally uses RFMAHN20 program to display all customer accounts, we can select a customer and see the dunning letter(It's a sapscript) and also take a printout. I made some changes accordingly to add the email functionality so when user checks the print preview then a pop up promts for email address( which has default value of email address assoicated with that particular customer) and send pdf letter accordingly. But my requirement is to send email to all customers who may be selected via RFMAHN20( they may be all customers who belong to the same account type). How can we achieve this in the most easy way? I already copied standard FM's associated. So can I do something in them to resolve this or any separate program is needed( if so, how?)? Please respond asap. Thank you so much...in advance

Hi Husain...Thanks for immediate response. There is already data being pulled by standard function modules like PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE(copied into Z). Can we use that in simpler way(without the need of any new driver program with all the data population again)? And your answer is correct which I already thought earlier and kept it as a last resort, because I need to populate all the data again, convert spool to pdf and send pdf's to all selected customers And one more thing is that the requirement is to schedule a background job which takes care of sending all the emails . So any more ideas?

How Can I go Back to Leopad and sill keep all my data, e-mails etc.

I installed SL on Sept 3,2009. I'm a new Mac user so all I had was TM Backups which I still have. After SL install I have had lots of problems and a couple of days ago My system already failed and would not start. Called Apple, they said I had to re-install my OS. If that was the case I said I wanted to go back to Leopard, I was told use the leopard install disk and use disk utilities to locate the last Leopard TM backup and restore from that point and from there I was told I could recover all my Data, e-mails from Sept 3, 2009 the point of recovery at the time Sept 15/2009.
When I called back in after recoving to Sept 3/2009 for help in my data etc to Sept 15/2009 I was told I had been given bad advise, and that was not possible. So I have had to re-install SL and get back my data and e-mails etc to today. You can imagine how frustrating all this has been.
I'm now back on SL with all my Data, emails, etc but still experiencing many problems, and what I'm reading on this site makes me nervous that the worst is yet to come. My Tm seems to have double the amount of stuff and is a mixture of Leopard and SL backups. Is there a way of now going back to Leopard and then retrieving all my Data, form TM or from the other stuff I have saved? I have made copies of Mail, itunes, Documents, Safari, and I have all my pictures on my PC I have not added any since converting from my PC in early July. If I knew where they were I'd make a copy of them as well. I know there are a lot of smart Mac users out there so I'm hoping someone knows of a way of doing this, and can explain it it easy steps of a novice user. If there is someone from Apple out there reading this given the problems with SL I have had, and the bad advice on how to recover, some accurate, detailed instructions on how if possible I can get back to Leopard with all my data, it would sure be nice to hear from you.....

I rolled back a system from OS X 10.6.0 to OS X 10.5.8 via the Archive & Install (non-preserve) and it was successful. Now it didn't have any 3rd party applications installed. It just had the default OS bundled applications, iLife '09 and iWork '09. So that could have assisted in my success, I'm unsure how successful the process would have been if there was a lot of 3rd party framework modification. Although most of that would have been wiped clean in the Archive & Install, thus negating the problem.
Personally, I'd be more inclined to have you copy the contents of your Home folder (minus the Library) onto an external HD and manually reimport after a clean install of Leopard. The problem with that, however, is you'll lose Safari bookmarks, iCal data and Address Book data. So for something like you'd need to manually dig through the appropriate Library folders.
Are you near a Genius Bar? It might be worth visiting them and asking them for some assistance. I know when I worked there I was always outwardly accommodating when the issue was caused by inappropriate information that led you in the wrong direction from the start.

When I open Firefox and then hit INBOX to see all e-mails in my inbox and then when I have read those I open the subject matter of each e-mail appears opposite the INBOX and in order to delete all of these e-mails I have to click on every one individually to delete them. Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

I write it, it takes absolutely ages to try to send but as soon as I click disconnect it sends the email. Very odd. I would just love to be able to write all my emails offline and save to drafts/Outbox and then just connect to send and check emails then disconnect again.

In Lion, the user's LIBRARY folder is hidden. So, it's not visible automatically.
Open Finder.
At the menu items at the top of your screen, click on GO (where you see Finder, File, Edit, View, Go, Help)
Next within the GO options, select the 'Go to Folder' option. You will see a window open to enter text.
Enter ~/Library and click the GO button.
Now you'll be in your user LIBRARY where you need to be to get to your address book file previously mentioned.
You want to open the Application Support folder then from inside there open the AddressBook folder. Then you can follow Barney's instructions.

All the mail is stored in ~/Library/Mail (and its associated subdirectories).
Your Library holder is hidden by default under Mountain Lion (and Lion, too?), so hold the Option key when selecting the Window menu in the Finder to add it to the menu, from where you can access it.

I tried to use filters, send filter addon but they didn't worked for me, even tried changing the account setting for "copies and folder" to set for moving sent mail or draft mail to sent to local folder but that also didn't work.
So is there a manual setting or an addon to work for it.

Marked answered due to no alternative. Not resolved due to an IMAP limitation in the way that some "IMAP supporting" offerings don't actually support IMAP according to spec.

XL Reporter- Report by Sales Rep show the same sales rep for all customers.

When creating a report using XL reporter, Sales report by Item detail for all customers with selection by Sale rep ( expression) parameter, the report shows the name of the first selected sales rep name all through the report.
Please comment if there is any way to avoid this error.

No, Since this is a sales by item detail report, we have already grouped it by Brand....
We do not want the report to be seen grouped by Sales rep, as that would group all transactions under different brands under one group.....
