Mass processing for printing shopfloor papers

When I press background  processing for printing shopfloor papers  in COHV then I get message background  processing triggered but no print comes out of printer.
Where to see result of background  processing. In COHV log is also empty.
My requirement is that when I press print Icon in COHV then it should automatically print paper, No need to goto Sp01 and print from there .
Please guide.

Mayuresh,
In the order print control configuration transaction OPK8, activate Print Immediately check box against the individual list in the "Spool Parameters for user" folder.
Since you have mentioned that you are using Background processing for printing, you need to run Program "PPPRBTCH" in background to print the papers.

  • Mass Processing for Forecast SOP

    Hi Experts,
I have one requirement, I have to run Mass Processing for Forecast SOP in background Job based on consumption values updated in Material Master.
I have followed all instruction give for doing this process (SAP SOP Mass Processing - SAPs'WORD - We SAP For Your Cause) but could not achieve.
Can any one help to run in background job for Mass Processing for Forecast SOP.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hello,
Refer KBA    1778072 - Error message MA 653 when running mass processing forecast (program RMCP6BIN)
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGVON IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGBIS IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Forecast/historical period cannot be calculated MA 653
Check your planning type which is used for your batch job. The number of historical periods in planning type (transaction MC8B) must not be smaller than the number of historical periods in forecast profile (transaction MC96). If the number of forecast period is maintained in the forecast profile (transaction MC96) the number of future period in the planning type must not be smaller than the number of forecast period in the forecast profile.
A not appropriate entry in SOP User Settings (transaction MC79) in Number of periods in the planning horizon can have an effect on this also.

  • Mass processing for SOP

    Hi,
I am able create sale plan through MC87 transaction by selecting the create sale plan through forecasting, when total consumption values are maintained in the material. But I want this to be done by MASS processing function. In other words I want to up date key figure sales in S076 table.
There is one tcode MPBT which is to create total forecast in background. But this is happening only when unplanned consumption values are maintained in material. Is this behaviour is correct?
Can u detail the configuration settings required for mass processing of SOP.
Through help I came to now that mass processing can be done for forecasting. Is this forecasting and creating sales plan are same. Kindly brief.
    Thanks & Regards,

    SOP steps have 3 classifications
    1) STD SOP for Material
    2) STD SOP for Product Group
    3) Flexible Planning
    A) Now Let we take STD SOP for Material
This will takes place in Material and Plant level
so the charateristics will be Material and Plant
The key figures are Sales,Production Qty,Targer stock level,.......etc
    Steps
    1) Create Planning for material MC87

if you want use the flexible planning info like SIS in std sop after the 4th step of above it will be like
    5) MC87 std sop there Sales data from SIS it will ask for info str and version then you can get it automatically then the std steps like
    6) Copy to Active Version MC78
    7) Transfer to Demand Mangement MC74

  • Mass Processing for employees in HCM Processes & Forms

    Hi experts,
We are trying to implement mass processing in HCM Processes and Forms,
Could any one of you give us an overview how this works.
Any suggestions / documentation is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nrupen
To be honest there is not much to it and the SAP documentation covers it really.
Enable the process to be mass processed.
Make fields visible/invisible/readonly in the columns using the field attributes
A singlle process is triggered for each employee in mass process table etc.
Do you have a specific issue?
    Regards

  • Want to do mass processing for inspection lots with status SPRQ

    Hello,
My company using early lot creation for 04 inspection type. We have thousands of inspection lots with status "UD   ICCO SPRQ PRII PRSI STUP". Now due to SPRQ status, system is not closing process orders associated with thousands of inspection lots.
Is there any transaction where I can do mass processing of inspection lots to change the status "SPCO" from "SPRQ"?
    Thanks
    Bhavesh

    Dear Bhavesh
You may have to modify the standard program to do so. Modify this program RQEVAI30.
    This can help you

  • Mass processing for forecating in SOP

    Hi all
I ma able to forecast a material online thru MC87 in standard SOP, but when I try to set up a variant for mass processing in the background the forecasting does not work. Has anybody encountered this issue?
    thanks a lot

    Tajuddin
Thanks for your reply. I am reading the R/3 documentation and it talks about Mass processing of SOP forecasting ( R/3 documentation verbiage below) I am trying to follow these steps but it does not work. Isn't this mass processing supposed to be for forecasting in mass in background?
    Am i understanding this incorrectly?
How to Run the Forecast with Mass Processing
You can use SOP’s mass processing function to run the forecast. In this process:
    You create a forecast profile.
You create a planning activity and include in it this action (the forecast profile).
You create a mass processing job for this activity.
You schedule this mass processing job.
The results of the forecast will be different if the forecast is run at a high level and the results then disaggregated to the detailed level than if you carry out the forecast at the detailed level.

  • Managing the process for print design

    Hi,
I like to know if there is some kind off managing system for creating a print design. Sometimes it happens that the final designs go to the press white still something wrong. I made a check list but that doesn't work, because it's unpractical when you have a very tight deadline.
So I'm looking for something more practical, that force the project manager to let the final designs being checked by; copy, specs and content, before sending it for pressing.
    Big thnx!

    Wibo,
Agree 100% with what Neil and John are saying but some clients are more responsible than others. I went through this a while backwhile every care is taken a lot of our entry come directly from client supplied text or tables inserted into our databases. For this reason I wanted to make the client aware and a bit more responsible for what was finally going to be printed 5000 or so times.
We came up with that attached sign off form to guide the client in checking. It is normally a pdf form which allows for n/a to be filled in for non applicable check boxes. I also decided it was important to highlight with the client that the list is not a through list of things to check but a general roadmap of the type of things to think of.
Also as a lot of our projects are handed off to the client for printing and in these days of digital proofs often the proofs are also press ready files we included the disclaimer that the artwork is not released by us for reproduction until the client returns the signed form. Their call if they go print without returning the form but we have supplied the data for proofing not final production.
As we tackle all sorts of mapping jobs we were after something generic that covered most of our small to medium sized projects - these can range from a $300 custom map supply which may only take an hour to produce to an $10k project that spans a year or two by the time all the data is captured and various revisions actioned.
Obviously for larger contracts the sign off and revision is a more formal and specific process.
Hope the attached image helps sorry about the rough Acrobat PNG export. I think some of the attached wording even came from Neil's initial suggestions.

  • HCM Proces & Forms - Mass process for OM

    Hello experts,
I have a req. in which i have to
    1) Create multiple Positions
    2) Copy multiple Postions (upto 30)
    3) Change multiple Positions(upto 30)
    4)Delimit multiple Positions(upto 30)
The req. is to create mass OM process (like mass PA process or special payments).
Step1) As in mass PA process, user is able to select multiple employees, simillarly here user should be able toselect multiple positions.
Step2) As in mass PA process, after selecting multiple employees, a WD table comes (imn enter data stap), here also a WD able should come with all positions selected in previous step.
Step3) Once data for all the positions are saved , the corresponding action(cdelimit or change) for all the positions should be triggred in backend system.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Ashish Gupta

OK. So I understand the requirement a bit more now.  Ultimately you want 30 positions created but via one form and one workflow.
Ideally in a create mode you would like to save the data multiple times. i.e. put the save data task in a loop, the iterations of which would be governed by an entry on the form? (A 'Number of Instances' field for example).
I am not sure if it is possible to save the data multiple times - even if you are in create mode and therefore generating new positions. Maybe someone else can comment?
Either that or can you clone the process object within the workflow? I think it best to at least use the form to process one position as it will have all the standard error checking, even if you decided to copy the position from within the workflow (via a program exit on a task or a class based based business object?).
    Cheers
    Ian

  • What is your export process for printing custom-sized books?

I will be printing my first custom-sized book created in Aperture.
Anyone have much experience doing this?
I am assuming that exporting to pdf and then sending that file to print is the process, but I'm wondering if the compression will affect the image quality enough to be concerned for a 9''x9'' book?

    Lots of experience here.
I outsource albums either as single page or double spread. Unfortunately Aperture only allows single page export, not as a full spread (required by some printers).
Unfortunately the Export options are a little limited, so read on
If you click on the Print button for your custom sized book, you'll get a dialog. Choose the PDF button at the bottom and a bunch of options will appear.
If you just want to export a proof for a client to review, you can select Save PDF to Aperture. The files will import as 200dpi JPEGs / TIFFs depending upon the option you choose. You can then export to a sharing service / web album etc.
If you want to export at a different dpi then DON'T choose the Save PDF to folder as JPEG option... again you'll get just 200dpi images. So what you can do is choose the Save as PDF option. When you choose that it will export the whole book as single pages in a PDF, with the embedded JPEGs (fully quality jpeg 12) at 350dpi (I know as I've checked this)....
You can then do 2 things:
    1. For services that require a single pages, run an automator action to run through the PDF and export the images at your desired DPI and change the colour profile (eg sRGB). Your images are then exported to the same folder. Here's the action: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/117989/Save%20PDF%20to%20Folder%20as%20JPEG.zip
    2. For services that require a double page spread instead, run an automator action to run through the PDF, change the colour profile and DPI and then import to Aperture.
What I do is have an entirely separate project called Album Proofs and import all images into there. When the action runs, it will ask where to put the images - place them in Album Proofs. I then have a custom book size that is twice the width of the album you are creating (e.g. if making a 12x9, the size is 24x9) with no margins or spacing. Then create a template album (you can reuse by right clicking and selecting Duplicate Book) that has two images per page, each image taking up EXACTLY half of the page (again no margins or spacing). I then drag the images I imported into this template, then auto-fill unplaced images. Your images are then layed out as spreads... So now what you do is re-export using the Save as PDF print option. Then run the action described in 1 above.
Here's the action: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/117989/Save%20PDF%20to%20Aperture%20as%20JPEG.zip . If it doesn't work use the other action above and just import manually.
    Hope this helps

  • Mass processing for inbound orders idoc's from file

    Hi Experts,
I have an requirement wherein we need to process all the ORDERS idocs sent from a thrid party system to a particular folder in the SAP system. Now we use a custom programme which in turn calls fn module IDOC_INBOUND_FROM_FILE to process each file. Here if the fn. module IDOC_INBOUND_FROM_FILE hits an erroneous file (control record error) it issues abend message which causes to entire programme to exit leaving rest of the files in the folder unprocessed.
Let me know if there is any other function module or way to tackle this issue so as to process all the files.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jimmy.

Add the exception ERROR_MESSAGE = 99 (or some other unique number) to the standard exceptions in the function module call in your custom program.  This will allow you to trap the error and continue processing.

  • Mass processing PIR's

Can we do mass processing for materials to upload in PIR table? We dont have product groups?

    Hi
Either you can use the BAPI  (BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE).
    OR
Goto Tcode : MD61 and enter the Material / Plant and goto the intial screen and Copy paste the Material Number and Qty from An Excel sheet upto the number rows displayed in MD61 screen and press enter and then Click Page Down Ikon, system will show the new rows where you can copy and paste again from the Excel sheet and Repest the steps to complete 2000 materials.
    OR
You can create the BDC , BDC will work for Tcode : MD61 .
    OR
You can use LSMW also for creating PIR's
    Hope this will help you.

  • Printing Shop Papers for Completed Notifications

    Hello,
This issue has been brought up on this forum before, but I have not managed to find an actual solution that was implemented by an organization.
We are basically trying to print Shop Papers for completed (NOCO) Notifications that have Orders assigned but that have been completed and TECOu2019d. The thread Need to REPRINT the Service Notification explains that it is not possible to print such shop papers. Is there some way to create a work around using user exits or a custom program to enable such shop papers to be printed? I've already checked with SAP and was told that no SAP note fulfills this requirement on ECC 6.0. I would much appreciate any insight on a solution you may have implemented.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tarun

PeteA is right you will need to have some custom code to by-pass the status checks that SAP has implemented.
Prometheus Group has a program called the Work Order Print Manager that can do this for work orders.  I am a developer for this solution.
The program gathers all document related to the work order (services for objects, DMS, sapscripts/smartforms, equipment doc, functional location docs, material docs, etc) and puts them into a nice GUI for printing.
Specifically for work order you cannot print them from standard SAP if the order is in created status because the menu is greyed out).  However we can put a button in a user exit to call the program.  The sapscripts appear along with the other documents and can be printed.
Additionally we can add watermarks and/or to the document to let the users know they are trying to print a work order in the incorrect status.  We/ I can demonstrate the work order solution to you and prototype a IW52 solution after a short discussion to help us understand your issue in particular.
    http://prometheusgroup.us/wopm.php
if you are interested in a demo email them to set up a demonstration with me.
