Mass reversal of GL docs created by BDC session

I need to mass reverse GL documents posted in BDC session. I tried to record a BDC for F.80 but there is a problem with dynamic selections (the session name I want to reverse is in dynamic selections). The screen fields in dynamic selections have dynamic names (e.g. %%DYN001) and filling them from BDC does not work. If I replay the record created by SDHC I get the error than the field does not exist on the main program selection screen. How can I pass the session name to the BDC?
Or, is there any alternative (e.g. BAPI/FM for mass reverse that can read the session name too)?

I don't know this object type, so maybe there's a BAPI as you suggest.
If you don't find one, you may pre-fill the LDB selection screen parameters by creating a little custom program, that will call the report behind F-80 using SUBMIT ... WITH FREE-SELECTIONS ... Then you may either create a Z transaction to launch this custom program, or simply use SA38/SE38 if the user is authorized to it in the productive system. Then you'll call this transaction using batch input.

URGENT - HOW TO PROCESS A BDC SESSION (IN BACKGROUND) FROM INSIDE A REPORT

Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I need to create a BDC session for mass update(from file) of one transaction and check if at all that update has taken place and proceed with the same session for another transaction.
For this I need to know how to process the session in background in a report, so that if the processing is done, the next set of data to update a different transaction can happen.
All inputs are welcome and highly valuable to me.
If someone is unable to intrepret this, I'll detail it again.

1.Use RSBDCDRU is an exe pg.With this u can download the logs into local file.
2.It will create the spool request .from there u can download or print.
OtherWise:
Use the code from the link below. U need to provide the session queue id as input and it will download the log to an excel file. U can change it to ur reqmt.

Incorrect state of bdc-sessions after system-termination

Hello,
following situation:
I've run 8 bdc-sessions and system breaks down becaus of to less table space.
After correction of table space and activating update (sm13)
the job's go on.
But 2 bdc-sessions have a false state - they show processing but sm50 and log shows that they do nothing. The creation of customers is not complete (only 50 %). How can I correct the state of the bdc-sessions and process the jobs further???
1 BDC is finished but the state is false too (processing) How can i correct the state of tht session ?=

I've tried to release it but I get the following "false" message:
Could not release folder "MIARMD_1029" since it still contains a background job
Message no. 00299
-> there's no background job any longer!
any ideas except creating new bdc-sessions???

Executing a BDC Session using a Function Module from a Custom Z-Report

Hello,
          I have a requirement where I need to Create a BDC Session for the given Transaction Code. But instead of executing the Session from SM35 manually, I need to Execute the Session Immediately from my Custom Z-Report itself.
         Is there any Function Module for this Activity? Please let me know.

BDC session's program name

Can anybody tell me the way so that i can find out which program has created the BDC session? I looked into APQI table but the PROGID field is blank. Is there any other way to find out the Program's name of BDC session?

I am able to see here. I do not understand why you are not able to see that.
Ok, try this, In the list of sessions displayed -> double click the session that an error (i.e. Transaction Ended with errors).
Then it will take you to another screen, here you choose the Screens tab.
You can find the program name here.

Passing BAPI Error Messages to BDC Session.

Can any one drive the idea how to convert rather passing BAPI error messages into BDC session.

I am sure you already have the logic of "If the call transaction is errored out you create a BDC session for the same data".
Now, when your BAPI fails, irrespective of the error, you need to build the BDCDATA table and pass the data to the session. So, I don't you really need to know the errors and pass them to the BDC Session.
Check the RETURN table of the BAPI, if it has got E / A / X error types then you can build the BDCDATA table and create the session.

Mass reversal of doc

Hi Gurus
This is related to my other thread FCHR reversal. All the checks cleared thru my the program FCHR has generated the docs (more then 1000) and affects a GL.Now I want to reverse these docs and nullify the GL. How to do the mass reversal of docs? second , is there any way to edit these docs ( JEs ) in correct period ? I mean there are in period 9 and should have been in 8 . Any help will be appreciated .This is kinda urgent.

Hi,
if the document is already cleard and your getting the messege that document cannot reversed.
Because the document is already cleared you have to reset the Cleared Documents, Use Tcode : FBRA
and then go to F.80 for mass reversal.

Mass reversal using AB08 - BDC

Hi,
I had done a BDC for Mass reversal of fixed assets using transaction AB08 using sessions method.It gets processed succesfully in foreground,but return with errors when processed in background.
When done an analysis with logs,the sequence of screens thru foreground and background modes are different.
Could not find how the screen sequences goes in background mode.
Please reply.

Mass Reversal of Documents -

Hi, The users when try to do the Mass Reversal of the documents using the T Code F.80, the system displays the documents that cannot be reversed and gives the error message -
Message : 00349 Field BSIS-BLDAT does not exist in the screen SAPMF05A 0105.
Thus the documents cannot be reversed using the Mass Reversal option.

I think you are doing this with BDC.The screen SAPMF05A screen 105 will have posting date and document date but not the base line date.Hence, the error.Please correct the program to include ZFBDT(Doc date) and BUDAT(Posting date).The BSIS-BLDAT is not required here.
