Mass Role Deletion Transport to ECC6

Hi,
Prior to transporting a mass role deletion through to the PRD ECC6 system, is it recommended to end date the majority of position to role relationships? End dating may maintain some visability of previous role assignments... Or is it safe to send it through and be confident that all the relationships will be removed as well as UMR based assignments?
Any recommendations on this topics?
Kind Regards
Nathan

Hi,
Delete the roles through transports. but if you are concerning about the UMR history and end date for the roles. If so.. make sure there are no active assignments to the users.then there is no requirement for end date. in my idea generally UMR history will be there for deleted users and their assignments...as text.

    Hi,
There is any method to delete Role in Large contents?
AGR_DELETE_ALL_ACTIVITY_GROUPS program is not working in our system.Other than this, there is any method?
    Thanks in Advance.Kindly help.

I have used this note many times before. Once you apply this note and create a custom program, you should be able to delete the large number of roles.I would recommend applying this note only in Dev and do the deletion transport in other clients

  • Mass role deletion in CUP 5.3

    Hi all,
in our CUP 5.3 system someone has unintendedly imported all roles and profiles from the backend system (about 4000 roles).
How can we delete those roles from CUP without having to delete it from the frontend, which will take ages.
Is there any way or database script to safely remove the roles?
They can be determined by either role approver or last reaffirm date.
    Thanks
    Daniela

That's why I tell my customers
"Whatever you want to do in Role Import - ALWAYS klick on "from file" first. No Exceptions. Never!"
You're out of luck, there is no delete script. You can ask support for the DB ER document, but you'll have to do DB manipulations on your own risk, I'm afraid...

  • Deletion of mass roles from GRC CUP 5.3

    Dear All,
I have requirement to delete 1000 roles from GRC CUP 5.3.
I can see option to delete the roles individually under "search role" option but I am not able to find option to delete mass roles.
    Please advice.
    Regards
    Trinadh Bokka

    Hello Trinadh,
It is not possible to delete all the roles at once through the User Interface. However, you can select a lot of roles at the same time by searching for a role pattern. For example, retrieve all roles starting with Z*:
    Hope it helps,

  • Role Deletion

    Hi
I would like to delete a role from the DEV system and then have the deletion moved to Q and then P system.
    I have gone through  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e4/15e48efd6c11d296430000e82de14a/frameset.htm
This reads "If you want the deletion to be transported, place the role objects in a transport request before deleting. To delete the role in a system linked by RFC (like a component system in Workplace), choose Role ® Distribute deletion."
I am not sure as to how this needs to be done. How does one place the role objects in a transport request?
If you have had a role deleted and then transported it, let me know how you have done it.
    - ravi

Auke's answer is the correct one. Assign the role to a transport request BEFORE deleting it; this is easily done from the main screen of PFCG (just click the transport button!). If you delete the role first, BEFORE assigning it to a transport, you won't be able to assign it to any transport...
When the role is deleted from dev and the transport is subsequently released, the role will be deleted from the downstreams systems.
You can, of course, also create mass transports with several roles for deletion, Only remember the basic step: put the roles in the transport first, then delete, then release.

  • Portal Run time error when created a seperate role for Transport package.

    Hi Experts,
I have created a seperate role for Transport Package(import/export iviews).
Normally we have transport package functionality in system admin.
Below steps i followed for creating the new role(trans admin)
1.Copied SAP provided system admin role to a seperate folder.
2.Deleted reamining portal objects(like UWL, portal display etc ..) except transport packege workset.
3.Renamed the role to trans admin.
I have assigned that role to my self, it is working fine to me when i clcik on export and import.I have super admin role.
when i assign this role to some portal users, Export is not working.
when user clicks on Export role they are getting below error.
    Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
    iView : N/A
    Component Name : N/A
    Access denied (Object(s): com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/medium_safety/com.sap.portal.appdesigner.contentcatalog/components/Framework).
    Exception id: 12:10_31/08/09_0031_21763550
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
By looking into exception iD also, same error access denied it is showing.
    Please Advice.
    Thanks
    Sony.

    Hi Raghu,
    Thanks for the reply.
I have given full permissions to all users to this trans admin role before itself.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to generate mass roles in SUPC

    Hi All,
I have to generate mass roles at one time. There are 3000 roles to be generated. I am using tcode SUPC to do this but when give the list of roles and click on generate button it is taking only one role.
    I am generating derived roles.
    Please advise..
    Thanks,
    Masood

    > I am generating derived roles.
Perhaps Salman123 wrote a CATT to hit the "Adjust derived roles" function once, or dug deeper?
If you have less than 50 roles and all standard and maintained authorizations you are better off using the delete menu and import from role option in my opinion. (make sure the root node is small and use redundancy compression).
If you have more than 50 roles, then (shame on me...) try to keep them very small with only selected objects and use the option to delete their profiles completely and upload them on mass. Such roles are anyway usually best suited for BW systems and an entirely different concept (Analysis Authorizations).
You can avoid derived roles completely this way.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Mass role risk analysis issue

    Hello GRC Community,
    I have a following issue:
When I use mass risk analysis the deactivated authorization objects in the role are displayed as result. At the same time, when I use Role Level Risk Analysis the role with deactivated critical authorization objects doesnt appear.
Does anybody know how to solve this issue? Is there any configuration parameter to be adjusted?
    thanks
    best regards
    Sabrina

    Prasant,
here are the screenshots of the Job result:
    1. Mass role Risk Analysis
    2. Risk Analysis on the (Single) Role Level
Im Backend you can see that the role contains lots of deactivated autorization objects.
I have run all sync Jobs, but seemingly it doesnt help.
    Thanks,
    Sabrina

I just upgraded to SP11 and am trying to mass import a few roles.  It doesn't give me an error on the mass input screen, but it doesn't import the role, so I put DEBUG on and looked at the system logs.  I created the download file as both ANSI and UTF-8 and neither is working.  Here is the system log output:

    Hi All,
Two weeks ago, I have trying to load roles in ERM. The result hasn´t been than expected. I use SAP GRC AC (5.3). I need to load 6375 single roles, but only I have loaded 914 single role. Next I described to you a general context of my situation:
    1.  I divided the file VIRSA_RE_DNLDROLES.txt into 16 files (UTF - 8) with single roles per module (AM, PO, PS, GL, SD...)
    2. Each file contains segmented roles associated to a business process and multiples sub - business process.
    3. When I checked roles in ERM, I notice that just load any roles. Not all roles in template was loaded.
    4. Files size varies between 18 kb y 145 kb.
    5.  Files concerned "Mass Role Import" have the following extensions: Bulk Download File* (.txt), Enterprise Role Management Information File (.xls) and Primary Org. Level File (.xls).
    5. A error generated was "Unknown error occurred while performing operation (No space left on device (errno:28))."
Honestly, I don´t know the reason for not loading all roles from template. Any suggestions? or ideas?
    Thanks in advance

  • DELETE STATEMENT IN ECC6.0

    HI,
How to use the DELETE statement in ECC6.0.
when i am using this statement , it is going to short dump.
    Delete itab from wtab.
    pls let me know
i am getting the error ,
convert the charater to numerics, only numerics are supported in at the argument position , bcos it is a unicode program.
    let me know pls .
    regards,

    hi,
    chk the syntax:
    DELETE - itab_lines
    Syntax
    ... itab [FROM idx1] [TO idx2] [WHERE log_exp]... .
    Extras:
    1. ... FROM idx1
    2. ... TO idx2
    3. ... WHERE log_exp
    Effect
To delete several lines at once, you have to specify at least one of the additions FROM, TO, or WHERE. You can only use the additions FROM and TO with standard tables and sorted tables.
If you specify several of the additions, the rows are deleted that result from the intersection of the individual additions.
    Addition 1
    ... FROM idx1
    Effect
If you specify FROM, all the table rows from the table index idx1 onwards are included. idx1 must be a data object with type i. If the value of idx1 is less than or equal to 0, a runtime error occurs. If the value is greater than the number of table rows, no rows are deleted.
    Addition 2
    ... TO idx2
    Effect
If you specify TO, only the table rows up to table index idx2 are included. idx2 must be a data object with type i. If the values of idx2 is less than or equal to 0, a runtime error occurs. If the value is greater than the number of table rows, it is set to the number of rows. If idx2 is less than idx1, no rows are deleted.
    Addition 3
    ... WHERE log_exp
    Effect
You can specify any logical expression log_exp after WHERE, for which the first operand of each individual comparison is a component of the internal table. This enables all logical expression with the exception of IS ASSIGNED, ISREQUESTED, and IS SUPPLIED. The dynamic specification of components using character-type data objects in parentheses is not supported here. All rows for which the logical expression is true are deleted.
    hope this helps u,

    Hi all,
As we know, we can use program PPARCHP1 to mass set deletion flag for production order.
now, i would like to revoke deletion flag, i had been use tcode: co02  Functions -> Deletion Flag -> Revoke to do it.
but, i have lots of production order, is there any standard program could mass revoke deletion flag?

Dear there is no standard functionality or transaction is available to revoke the deletion flag the only option is you have to do it manually one by one order through the option which you already mentioned.

  • Administrator Role deleted ???

    Hi all,
Accidentally administrator role deleted in UME.When i login j2ee_admin i deleted administrator role in ume what i do Now i am login via j2ee_admin it gives error what i do plz tell me. How i found administrator role ???
    Help me Plz
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar:
For all the non UME Roles content in Portal has some action. So I guess for Administrator Role should have an action pertaining to its admin responsibilities. Try to Create Role under Identity Management and assign the action equivalent to it.
    Goto:
User Admin >  Identity Mgmt > Role > Create User > Give Name > Assign Action.
Note: I'm currently not at EP server for few days, plz check the option said above and I hope they might work for you.
If my guess is correct, you can get the Action for already existing Administrator Role from other EP Server in your organization.
    Tnx,

  • How to identify a deletion transport

    Hi All,
We wanted to upload adobe form layout and interfaces from one system to another, say from A to B. Now in system B, all those adobe forms were present with the same name. So we deleted them. It asked for a transport and we named it "deletion transport".
Now when we upload Adobe form layout and interfaces from XML files, it doesnt ask for a new transport. If we look at the object Directory Entry, the lock entry shows the same "deletion" transport number.
Should we assume that the creation of the Adobe form layout and Interface have resided in the same deletion transport.
Is there a way to identify if a transport will act as "deletion" or not. How does the system know that the incoming transport will create or delete objects?
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Tirth

You could check table E071 for records with OBJFUNC = 'D'. (looking via SE01 and other transport transactions, you will see a trash/delete icon on the object list) - This will be correct when transport request is released (only when releasing do the system check if the object exists yet.)

    Raymond
