Mass update contract ECC5.0

HI All,
Can i know how a Invoicing party and Vendor can be mass updated in the contracts in the Partner function screen for existing contracts.I believe MEMASSCONTRACT can be used only in ECC.6.0
We are in ECC5.0.Kindly advice on this.

You will need to develop either an LSMW or custom program to update the contact partners in ECC5.

SRM Local Contract Mass update

Hello,
We are in SRM 4.0 and working on local SRM Contract.
Now we want to update the validity in these contract, but as there is no way to perform mass change to these contract.
Is there any way we can update the contract validity period at the header level and also at the Item Condition level.

It is not advisable to update contract validity period as per the standard process.
BBP_PD_CTR_UPDATE - You try this FM to update contract but i am afraid since you are trying to update the validity period.

Mass Updates of Actions in Contracts

Hi,
We would like to know how can we do a mass update on service contracts to update the new action definition in item actions tab. There are around 400,000 contracts which already has old actions based on the Schedule & Start conditions, but we want to introduce a new actions (with different Schedule and Start Condition) that needs to be updated in all these contracts without having to edit & save each and every contract to redetermine a new actions.
Is there any standard program/transaction that will update the new actions in the contracts? Or suggest any way of quickly updating these contracts with new actions.

Hi Stenwa,
the adjustment rule for index adjustment has to added in the adjustment tab of the contract and then the condition assigned to be able to proceed with adjustment process (REAJPR) afterwards.
If you need to add these data for a lot of contracts (because it had not been added when the contracts were created) then you can use API_RE_CN_CHANGE for this purpose.

Hi,
Contract mass update Process starts when an RFx response or bid is accepted. Where items in the RFx response or bid have the same suppliers, the same currencies, and the same products as one or more existing contract, the contract(s) is (are) updated with the prices and other header/item information from the RFx response or bid. If the RFx response or bid contains new products, these can also be attached to existing contracts with the same supplier and currency (append function), or a new contract can created.
Coming to configuration part:
Define process parameters: Where you can define whether you want to update zero price quoted items to existing contracts or not (include / exclude options are available)
Set default parameters: Where we can control contract parameters for updated (either default / from RFx or BId), following SAP explanation will give you more clarity on it.
In this Customizing activity, you define which parameters are, by default, part of the contract mass update from an RFx response or a bid. To do this, select the Default Indicator.
You can select the Lock indicator to prevent the user from doing the following:
Deselecting a parameter that has been defined as a default parameter in Customizing
Selecting a parameter that has not been defined as a default parameter in Customizing

Mass upload contract with "Distribute Contract to Catalog" flag

I need to mass upload contract to update the flag "Distribute Contract to Catalog" (for srm mdm). What are the options. I don't see any option of that flag in the screen "Change Contracts: Mass Processing"

Solved on own
One needs to maintain System type as 'CATALOG' in SPRO >Define Backend Systems.
This makes the Distribute Contract Catalog check box to be visible in the Header tab of contract.

Price Mass Update

Gurus.
I would like to mass update prices in consignment info-records for one vendor, i can see that the field price does not appear in tcode : MEMASSIN - Mass Maintenance . Do i have to create a contract to use after MEKRE an then later update the IR through the contract.

Mass update causes mass replication

Hello,
we a CRM and IS-U system connected together through middleware.
We replicate many objects from IS-U to CRM . (BP , Contract Account, Contract..., Certain Activities)
In some cases we need to update many objects (a million or more contract accounts) in IS-U and these objects get automatically replicated to CRM ... This takes a huge ammount of time and clogs down the whole system. We try to schedule this out of the time slots where the system is used online but its difficult.
I am wondering if others have the same problem with mass updates and what strategies you use to solve this (exp : initial load) .

I don't have this problem where I am at(due to low data voluems), but however there is a good portion of the SAP Press book called SAP CRM Middleware Optimization Guide dedicated to this problem. You might want to pick up this book, as it has very handy reference for your middleware operations. They give several strategies on how to handle this.
I realize my answer doesn't solve your question directly, but trust me if you read the book you will find several ideas you can use to minimize the impact.

Hi,
This is NOT automatic and it should not be automatic. the whole idea of the contract is for it to be a very specific document for that situation only. So if you want to change the short description on a range of contracts then I would suggest an LSMW, CATT or similar job to do the mass update.

Mass Update Column In Tabular Form

Hi,
I'm trying to create a tabular form that has a mass update column function. i.e. the tabular form will be displayed as normal but at the top of certain columns will be a text box or lov and what ever is entered into those boxes will be cascaded into the empty values in that column without refreshing the page.
Hope that makes sense.

I am trying to perform a mass update of dunning data (level and date) on some open items. Using the mass change function through FBL5N, I receive the error message, and the update is not performed. I cheched with the layout editor, but the fields appears in the mentioned screen. The field is also allowed for modification in customizing, for the company code. I was not able to find the dunning fields in the field status editor, in customizing.
Any hint?

More relevant is note 322163 Line items: mass change 'Payment Method' BSEG-ZLSCH, but this refer to a program error, our release is more recent, and, furthermore, the dunning fields aren't available for change in FB02.

Mass update of a custom field at Product Revenue level

We are trying to update a custom field at Product Revenue level using the Opportunity Web Service. The webservice call is timing out as we have thousands of Opportunities.
I would appreciate if anybody gives input on how we can massively update a custom field using Opportunity Web Service.
OR
Is there a way to mass update a custom field at Product Revenue level other than using a web service.

If you are not very much obsessed with Webservices, the other workaround is the Data Loader Tool. It was discussed earlier in this forum.

Is there a way to mass update or replace the SPM Firefighter IDs table?

We are upgrading from GRC 5.2 to 5.3. In 5.3 FF/SPM has added an Owners field to the FF ID table (/virsa/zffusers), which is apparently a required field because I keep getting a "Invalid Firefighter ID Owner" error when I try to look at the table.
Is there a way to mass update, or perhaps import/replace, this table? I am having problems trying to update this table thru the FF table screen. When I go to save my changes, it will return the above error because not all of the FFID records have an assignment in this new Owners field. We have over 160 FFIDs, so I can't change all of the records at the same time. I can only get about 20 per screen and it will return that error again when I try to page forward.

that is perfectly possible - did it a few times already.
Export the table from within Firefighter, download the owners table (sorry, need to look up the name tomorrow - but you can't miss it), then add the owners through an Excel vlookup. Then re-import the table in Firefighter, and you're ste.

I was able to solve the problem by using BADI_RECD_CONDITION,
I implemented the funtion named as CHECK_ALL.
In this function used the following code

*Manipulated the conditions and then updated them using
*   update contracts
    CALL FUNCTION 'API_RE_OF_CHANGE'
      EXPORTING
        io_object    = io_object
        it_condition = lt_condition_change
      EXCEPTIONS
        error        = 1
        OTHERS       = 2.
These functions provide us with the updated data which the user has entered and not saved, that is the runtime data.
