Uploading new Org Structure when old one exists?

Good day,
I m faced with the following scenario:
There is an org unit with the following no assignment:
O --> 00001 to 09999
S --> 100001 to 199999
P --> external number assignment
Now only S P and O are being used.
The client wants to correct the current org structure.
They wanted to reorder the org units numbering.
It was demonstrated to them in QAS client that this will entail deleting the object and relations to give the object a different number and in OM, the relations are important not the object ID.
The client is working on Org Units in batches and cannot get all the information ready at one time and cannot wait for the final data upload in PRD.
Thus, they have instructed us to go with new numbering for Org units from 1001 .... onwards so that upto 100 they are not touched.
And we have been asked to start uploading ORg Units in batches, firstly in QAS clients and then in PRD.
What r the consequences of having 2 numberings for the same object in OM?
Is it possible to have a plan version and an active version of Org Structure in SAP? If so, what are the limitations in terms of object validity?

Looks like your purchasing org has purchaing org and purchaing group assigned together in the function tab.
Purchaing org details should be maintained one level below your root org. In fucntion tab for ONE COMPRAS maintain your purchasing org details. DONOT MAINTAIN PURCHASING GROUP TOGETHER.
Maintain purchaing group to the org unit where all your users are. I.e org unit compratoes...something like that !!!
Also maintain relevant responsibilities for product categories in purchasing group and for purchaing org...in the extended atributes maintain the product categories.
Your company code looks ok.
This should fix your problem.

I am using standard program RHALTD00 for mass uploading of Organizational objects into SAP system. But incase if our input file has any error records, how can we track such errors? Can you please share your inputs.

Hi Sirisha,
Report RHALTD00 imports the records from the file and creates a batch input
session, which you can process either directly or using batch input
processing:
Batch input processing: When ever you will run the report in this way, error records handled in a session.
Direct processing:
Requirements to run this report is :-
The dataset must contain all of the records of infotype 1000. Only then can
other information be imported in any order that is required.
The dataset must not contain records with workflow infotypes (infotype
numbers from 1200 to 1299). Such records are not included in processing.

Mass uploading of folder Structure?

Dear Expert,
As per client requirement, we needed feasibility of Upload of multiple documents with folder structure. Suppose we had folder structure with different files in folders available in CD, which we wanted to copy/create folder structure in Content server as available in CD. Is there any BAPI is available.
While Searching for this requirement I found bapi_document_create2 u2026.but I want to know with this can I directly copy folder structure available in CD to Content Server.
I wanted to know, as per requirement will it be possible to create folder structure from CD?

Hi Sam,
as explained in your SAP customer message the BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 could be used for this requirement. If you want to hand over document structure data please fill table DOCUMENTSTRUCTURE. For further information on the BAPI functionalities please see SAP note 766277.

Dear All,
I am in the process of data upload fro Org structure, this work I will do from SCAT.
Can anyone tell me in Excel file what I have to put parameters for data upload of O-O, O-S, S-P etc....

no Om praksah, I can do that small small maintenance, but I have to do major data
upload activity position to position .....
e.g. you take case of one new position, so you have to see case of S-S, tehn S-C, then S-O....like that...
for this activity I have to use pp01 xn, and for that we have to do scat....and for scat we need data..in excel....

Mass move of HR org structure

Hi,
Can anyone help me with the process we should follow for a mass change in the HR org structure?
We would like to move a few org units, and all the people within them to a new Org unit, this has a different company code, and cost centres. What process should we follow?
Move Org management org structure on specific date?
change the cost centres to the new ones.
Then transfer each employee in Personnel administration to the correct Personnel area/subarea?

Hi,
Have you tried to create a new plan version with the proposed changes. Once you create this then change the plan version to active. This might be more helpful rather than doing amendments for the current plan version.

I am creating Org units using PPOM transaction where i can create Many org units at a time. NOw i need to assign positions to these org units? is there any way to mass upload positions and assign to these Org units?
I have arrount 1020 Org Units to create. I created all through PPOM at a time. But to assign positions, i have to navigate to each Org unit to assign a position. Is there an easy way for this? I mean Create an Org unit and create a position at t the same time.

Create one LSMW program. Do the recording through PP02.
Here the values will be:
Plan Version : Whatever u have created or 01
Org Unit Id:
Infotype : 1001 (Relationship)
Subtype: A003/B003 (belongs to/ incorporates)
Start Date
End Date
Planning Status : 1
In the next screen :
Type of Object Type : S ( in ur case)
ID of Object Type
You need to upload data in following fields
1) PLVAR
2) OTYPE
3) SEARK
4) INFTY
5) SUBTY
6) ISTAT
7) BEGDA
8) ENDDA
9) SCLAS
10) SOBID

Mass user movement from one org. unit to another in SRM org. structure

Is there any way by which i can move mass users from one organisational unit to another in SRM org. structure..
there is a thread available in SDN but it is not conclusive. it talks abt using a FM: BBP_USER_CHANGE_ORG

Bharat-
I am assuming that your requirement is to move mass users from One Org node to another. Ex One Plant Org node to Another plant Org node.
If my assumption is correct then, please follow the below steps.
1) Go in to the change mode of Org Plan using T-code PPOMA_BBP
2) Using shift key, select all the users that you need to move.
3) Drag and Drop the selected users to the desired Org node.
If the user IDs are not in sequence then you can use Ctrl key to select the relevant user ID.

HR Master Data Uploads - Uploaded Employees not appearing on org structure

hi experts.
i uploaded employees using a bdc program and all the information got in. but on viewing the org structure using PPOME the positions remain vacant (there is no indication that the position has already been occupied).
Your help will be appreciated.

Org Structure download from HR and Uploading into SRM

Dear All
We have SRM 7.0 and ECC 5.0.
We are trying to load ORG structure data from SAP-HR into SRM. These 2 systems are not connected and we can't use the ALE synchronously. Can we download the HR org structure - ALE Distribution- iDoc into a file from the SAP-HR System and then upload the same into SRM, to create the entire Org structure? Pl provide your inputs.

Did you use any evaluation path to capture org structure when download the file using PFAL program.
We are looking to capture O,S,C objects ie HRP1000 objects as first step.
We are looking to capture all relationship belonging to that ORG unit ie HR1001 relationship as second step.
Any thoughts?

BDC for mass uploading Org Unit infotype

Hi,
I need do a mass uploading for one Org Unit Infotype via BDC. I created BDC batch loading file via SM35. I used PO10 to create Org Unit Infotype. After running TC "PO10", I need scroll down several Infotypes to reach the one that I need mass upload. But looks like BDC does not recognize the u201CScroll Downu201D, the batch loading file record by SM35 always selects the incorrect Infotype of Org Unit. Any suggestion to fix this? Thanks.

Uploading External Simple Org Structure

Hey all,
Has anyone had experience with loading external org hierachies in SAP HR? We were asked to load a simple org structure extracted out of PeopleSoft HR (simple parent child relationship) in to R/3.
Does anyone have clue as to the best way to do this? We current only have an SAP minimaster and are not Organizational Management.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

1. Call report RHMOVE00 (with transaction se38. It creates an example file)
2.maintain the example file with your objects
3. Call report rhaltd00 to upload file (it generates a Batch-Input which you could run).
Look also at the documentation of the reports

Mass upload of BP into CRM

Hello!
I peform mass upload of BPs into CRM. I use FM BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA to create BP itself and BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD to save BP addresses and call these FMs in the same turn for each BP.
So, if I do that for 1-2 BPs, it works perfectly. All BP are saved in CRM with there addresses on COMMIT. As soon as the number of uploaded BP increases(between two commits), for example, up to 100, there is an error happens: E831(AM) in ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE.
As well as I understood, it happens because of address saving peformed before BP saving on commit. I tried first to save BPs only (with commit) and then their addresses, and it worked on mass upload without any error.
So, is there any idea about how to upload each BP with his address simultaneously without any error by mass upload?

You can upload millions of records using these function modules.Infact I am doing the same.
Make sure that the data structures,tables which are passed to the Function modules are cleared for each time and FM's should be in the below mentioned order.
BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Display of Person with position in Org Structure

Dear All,
We have a display issue, please help us to resolve.
While uploading the master data with help of BDC, the data is uploaded which has been checked properly showing data has been uploaded. But when we see the org structure through ppom_old we cant see person assignment to the positions.

Hi,
Whenever you run master data upload through BDC the relationships in OM are not created.
I am sure you have created the necessary positions in OM under Org Units and then used these positions in BDC to upload your IT 0001. But now you are not able to see the position - holder assignment in OM, right?
If this is your problem then go to SE38 and run program RHINTE00.
Select one or two persons for whom you have uploaded master data and run the above program for them
If you have already created OM objects then tick mark CREATE HOLDER RELATIONSHIPS ONLY
a session will be created with your username which you can process through SM35
please go through the documentation of the report to understand the use.
