Mass upload of projects?

Hi Folks,
What's the standard approach to mass upload projects, what Templates are to be used? do we have a standard procedure like contracts.you may send me template on email..

Hi Harsh,
You can mass upload Projects by using the standard Project Template available, just add another Field "GENERATE_DOCUMENT_ID" in the template and set it too TRUE. It will generate the new UNIQUE_DOC_NAME for the new project which you are creating via the Workbook.
Sample workbook sent to you mail id mentioned above.

Hi Thomas,
with FlexUI, unfortunately, the possibilities that you have regarding your requirement are very limited.
To implement an enhanced upload to KM it is advisable to either use GWT (Google Web Toolkit) or the preferred and recomended language WebDynpro Java.

Mass Upload of DIR's through LSMW

Hi All
I have few queries in mass uplaoding of DIRs through LSMW..
1) Status : I have 3 preceding status before the final "Approved" status and the status is locked.. So how to set the final status initally, as we cannot have both "Initial" and locked status together.
2) The file names - what is standard procedure in giving the path of files.. Mentioning the path of File names for each files would be tremendous task.. So is there any easy way?

about your Q1
I am not sure from your project context but you may try this;
we have to prepare statuswise different mass uploading files, same time you have to set the requeired status to intial staus removing all predecessor or successors for time being. Once you done with uploading again set the system to required status network and status types to individual status.
Please let me know if its works for you, I believe this should be done before go live phase.

Mass Upload of user favourites from 4.6 to ERP 6.0

We have a client who is Upgrading from 4.6c to ERP 6.0
All of the users use their favourites for the transactions that they use.
We are aware of the functionality to extract and upload the favs, however this will involve users.
Is there a way to MASS upload all of the favs into ERP 6.0?
What tables, structures are the favs held in?
How have you overcome this in other Upgrade projects?

Are you going to do an Upgrade or will you be doing a re-implementation and data migration?
If you are upgrading the favourites will still be available to the users in the target system after the upgrade.
If you are re-implementing I am not sure there is a standard way for mass export/import.
What I would suggest is stepping through function Module MENU_FAVORITES_DOWNLOAD and try to simulate this for all users.

E-Recruiting - Mass upload of Attachment/Resume of Candidates

Hi,
We already developed custom program to upload resumes/attachments of Candidates but still I want to check any standard approach is there to upload attachments.
We have transferred Candidates (about 20K) from legacy to E-Recruiting (6.0) i.e. Candidate u2018NAu2019 exists in the system. We want to upload the resumes of Candidates. Is there any standard way to do it?

Hello Naddy,
E-Recruiting offers no standard interface for bulk processing. Everything connected to mass creation of candidates, mass maintenance and also mass upload of attachments have to be developed on your own.
For any reason no such interface for data migration is provided. Although i have to admit that so far none of my projects decided to technically migrate old data so far. For recruiting the outcome us usually not seen beeing worth the effort you need.
So you will have to develop your own solution. But for attachments it is not so difficult. I implemented an interface for mass processing result documents of an extenal testtool to link them as attachments to the candidate. Just use cl_hrrcf_attachment_bl. It should provide most necessary functions.

Mass Publish Captivate Projects

This may sound crazy, but I am looking for a way to mass publish captivate files.
I am looking for something along the lines of:
     •Some menu option I wasn’t able to find
     •Command line interface
     •Magic
I have over 350 captivate projects that need to be exported to both Flash and SCORM. Thanks to a series of unfortunate events, my teams past 7 months of Captivate 4 work has recently been re-exported with Captivate 5 just in time for Flash Player 10.1.102.64 to render them unplayable.
I have waited for an update of Flash Player, but our go live date is approaching fast and I can’t just wait on hopes any longer. This leaves me with installing the manual Captivate 5 hotfix and re-re-reporting 371 projects… twice; once in Flash and another in SCORM.
Any suggestions anyone may have would be appreciated.

Error while uploading MSP project into SAP PS

Dear Friend's,
For uploading MSP project into SAP PS we are using openps4MSP version 4.0 & MSP version 2007. incase of SAP PS to MSP downloading is ok.
While uploading we are getting following error. Also I have gone through relevant notes on MSP PS interface still I am unable to understand what exactly is the missing.
Action log is as follows.

Which type of scheduling setting have you configured for WBS scheduling and for n/w. ?
Also, download calendar from SAP to MSP and then add column 'Task Calendar' in which select the downloaded calendar.

Mass upload of BP into CRM

Hello!
I peform mass upload of BPs into CRM. I use FM BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA to create BP itself and BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD to save BP addresses and call these FMs in the same turn for each BP.
So, if I do that for 1-2 BPs, it works perfectly. All BP are saved in CRM with there addresses on COMMIT. As soon as the number of uploaded BP increases(between two commits), for example, up to 100, there is an error happens: E831(AM) in ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE.
As well as I understood, it happens because of address saving peformed before BP saving on commit. I tried first to save BPs only (with commit) and then their addresses, and it worked on mass upload without any error.
So, is there any idea about how to upload each BP with his address simultaneously without any error by mass upload?

You can upload millions of records using these function modules.Infact I am doing the same.
Make sure that the data structures,tables which are passed to the Function modules are cleared for each time and FM's should be in the below mentioned order.
BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Mass Upload of Photos in Portal

Hi,
I am trying to do mass upload of JPEG Photos.
I have tried using User Self Service and that works fine.
Reqmnt is that administrator needs to upload 100 photos as a bulk for each user.
I have read the document on help.sap.com and it certainly gave me few insights but if anyone has done this before, i would like to steps on how to go about doing this.

I have done appraisal document creation for bulk using txt file.
this fm used for single for creation in standard tcode (phap_prepare): 'WZ_HRHAP_0DOC_WZ01_START'.
So create ztcode usinh this fm for single form then record BDC for this tcode and called this tcode in that bdc for bulk creation .
While recording for single I have used manual option instead of automatic .

Uploading Flex project breaks it

Hi there, This is probably a result of something incredibly silly. A while ago I would find it easy to create a release version in FB3 and put the new SWF online. It always works, I just restructured my code to use multiple .AS files which I include in the mxml as such: Whenever I upload the project online now, the application hangs (http://eplant.mozzly.com/ePlant.html). Just sits there doing nothing. I'm wondering if I'm missing something important...what the heck could I have forgotten to do? If I pop the file into a local webserver on my dev system...it loads correctly. The application depends on a config.json file which is the first thing it pulls. The web version doesn't seem to do this but my locally hosted one works perfectly... Ack. What could it likely be?

Generally you upload all files within the bin release folder

Upload FCP Projects and Associated Media to a Production

Hi,
This sounds very silly but I`m really disappointed and can`t figured out how to do it.
Is there a way to upload a *.fcp project and associate NOT ONLY the project but ALSO the Media that this project contains?
In other words, if I upload a FCP project and choose a Production to be associated the production is created but ONLY the FCP Project Asset is inside this production, not the whole medias.
A scan production (for the FCP file) also doesn`t work.
What works is uploading all media and associating to a production or do a Scan production into a directory with medias. But my FCP and Medias are in distinct places and a thought that FCP project could help me cleaning the Media directories (by uploading the project and after all medias are catalogued archiving them, so the rest in directories are useless).
The work around would be:
1- to do a Scan Production in the Media files and after that uploading a FCP project associating with that Production, but as I`ve said I can`t just scan the entire Media as it`s very messy and with this way I could be guaranteed that my important assets are catalogued (and archived) and the left ones in the messy directories could be quick filtered to exclusion and cleaning without worries.
2- to upload a FCP and associate to a production and after that manually move fcp associated assets to this production (this almost impossible because the limitation of 200 assets per page).
Can some one propose a better way?

No, you are correct, but unfortunately these are Elements (inside the FCP project) and not real Assets. So for instance, if you fill in the annotations on the Asset it will not show on the Elements (inside FCP projects) and vice-versa. You can`t do a lot of other things as well with elements as you can with assets.
So I would like to have a Production with all media created automatically when a FCP project is uploaded (or scanned).
