Mass upload of route determination

Hi,
I have a question with regards to a configuring the route determination, our question is not about configuring the route but having to replace one of the old routes records to a new route.
SPRO  LE  Shipping  Routes  Route Determination  Maintain Route Determination.
We have created a route and all the necessary setup in the spro, and we realize that there are more than 3000 existing old route determination records (i.e. in table TROLZ) which need to be replaced with the new route. It will be impossible for us to manually replace each of the route records on above SPRO path one by one.
Question:
1 u2013 I am thinking about using LSMW, and am wondering if this is possible because there are two method in LSMW:
Method 1 u2013 Standard Batch/Direct Input. Here the Object drop-down box field does not have route determination object as it only have all the standard master data (i.e. material master, vendor, PIR, etc).
Method 2 u2013 Recording. How to perform recording as this is a configuration and not a business transaction like open PO, SO with transaction code?
Please share how to upload this new route and if LSMW is the right way, I am stuck on either the method 1 or method 2. Or is there any other way beside LSMW (please describe detail).

BUt may I know clearly what do you mean by your following statement?
I would suggest you should always create/modify/delete only one record in config via LSMW.
I have more than 3000 records for this exercise, do You mean I should test it out on one record first in 0VRF during the recording??

Hi
I have a need to upload about 13000 routes (Route Determination) in the Shipping Menu.
This is a two level activity to enter the source and destination country and then on a second level enter the route to be used.
There is no transaction code for this it seems, only menu path via spro.
Does anyone have a solution to do a mass upload?

U can use LSMW for the uploading---->use batch input RECORDING method for uploading

Mass maintenance for router determination config

In transaction OVLM (Maintain Route Determination), is there a simple way to mass load a single new Shipping condition with generic and multiple transportation groups to all combinations of country of departure/transportation zone and country of destination/transportation zone?

MM17 (Mass upload)

I want to upload the values to one of the fields in material master. I have 70,000 materials. Is this possible through MM17 (Mass upload) ?

in MM17.
you select your materials for a change.
Then you enter the new value in the fields above and click the distribute button, this way all your selected materials will get this value as new value for the chosen field.
alternative to a fix value in the field above your records you can click the formula button, this way you can create a small formula to calculate the new field value. E.g. you can add 1 to your maximum stock level, means if you had 10 as maximum stock level then you will get 11, but if you had 1 then you will get 2...
but this formula button allows you as well to add some ABAP coding.
this way I can select on any other table and can then determine the new value based on your own conditions.
e.g. you lookup EORD table (source list) and if you find an entry there, then you write 111 in field X , if you dont find a source list, then you write 222 in field X.

Mass upload of VC object dependencies

Hi Gurus,
My client is implementing VC, which is now in legacy system. There are around 25K object dependencies to be uploaded.
These include all types of selection conditions, preconditions & procedures. Is there any way to mass upload all these object dependencies. Or do we need to manually type all the object dependencies.
We are planning to create constraints as well, which I understood should be manual.
Any third party tool to mass upload is also fine.

Hi,
It is better to have them uploaded manually. Because you cannot guarnatee the sequences of ODs will be same for all the objects viz, BOM and routing.

ATP and Route Determination at Storage Location Level

Hi Experts,
I'm working on a project currently and one of the requirements is to have ATP and Route Determination at Storage Location level. I know SAP standard for this is at plant level but was wondering if anyone has had this requirement before, and if so what course of action they took to solve this issue.

in my previous project we have a customized table created for all the route determination and used mv45afzz move field to vbap to determined the route.
not sure if there is a easier solution but at least it is doable through customization for sure.

Mass upload of BP into CRM

Hello!
I peform mass upload of BPs into CRM. I use FM BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA to create BP itself and BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD to save BP addresses and call these FMs in the same turn for each BP.
So, if I do that for 1-2 BPs, it works perfectly. All BP are saved in CRM with there addresses on COMMIT. As soon as the number of uploaded BP increases(between two commits), for example, up to 100, there is an error happens: E831(AM) in ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE.
As well as I understood, it happens because of address saving peformed before BP saving on commit. I tried first to save BPs only (with commit) and then their addresses, and it worked on mass upload without any error.
So, is there any idea about how to upload each BP with his address simultaneously without any error by mass upload?

You can upload millions of records using these function modules.Infact I am doing the same.
Make sure that the data structures,tables which are passed to the Function modules are cleared for each time and FM's should be in the below mentioned order.
BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Hi,
we have to do mass upload of material master which includes lot of classification / characteristics for a plant. could you please let me know how do we do this and which is the best method? ( BAPI or BDC)

For material classification

Route determination third party sales order

We are using third party sales order. The process flow is as follows.
Sales order -> Purchase requisition-> Purchase order-> Vendor ships material directly to customer.
Route is currently determinined based on the following:
1. Departure zone (from shipping point)
2. Shipping condition ( from ship to customer master)
3. Transportation Group (rom material master)
4. Destination zone (Transportation zone of the Customer in the order)
Shipping point is in US, but the vendor who ships material to customer is in China. So, we want the Departure zone for the purpose of Route tdeterimination to be based on address in vendor master, and not shipping point.
Is there anyway, we can do this?

Welcome to SCN forum....
I find route determination for third party sales not logical. Just think in Third-Party Orders, theres is no Material-Movement and no Deliveries from our Plant;
In this case Route Determination will not be applicable. Customer has placed order to you and you have placed an order to your vendor, who directly deliver the goods to your customer. And you dont have to decide which route customer's transporter will take?
So as per me you need not determine routes in case of third party sales order.

Mass Upload of Photos in Portal

Hi,
I am trying to do mass upload of JPEG Photos.
I have tried using User Self Service and that works fine.
Reqmnt is that administrator needs to upload 100 photos as a bulk for each user.
I have read the document on help.sap.com and it certainly gave me few insights but if anyone has done this before, i would like to steps on how to go about doing this.

Hi,
I have done appraisal document creation for bulk using txt file.
this fm used for single for creation in standard tcode (phap_prepare): 'WZ_HRHAP_0DOC_WZ01_START'.
So create ztcode usinh this fm for single form then record BDC for this tcode and called this tcode in that bdc for bulk creation .
While recording for single I have used manual option instead of automatic .

Route Determination in Inbound

Dear All,
How to configure the system to automatically determine the Route incase of Inbound Delivery Process?
I know that the Route is getting detemined through the transportation zones & also the transportation group of the material.
I have given the departure transportation in my vendor master record & receiving zone in my shipping point/receiving point address tab & also maintained a route for the shipping condition which I maintained in my vendor master & Trans.group in the material master.
Inspite of doing all the above the route is not getting determined automatically.
So please suggest a solution.

As you have suggested I have checked my material master trp group & its assignment to Shipping condition & route determination.
Please note tht the goods receiving point is getting automatically determined as per the config but even though I have done the necessary assignment my route is not gettin determined automatically when I create a Inbound Delivery.
To be more specific.
I have given the Route for the TP zone given in my vendor master & TP zone given in the goods receiving/shipping point.
I have maintained the Route for the combination of TP group given in my material master (sales view) & Shipping conditions given in my vendor master.
Please help if you have any solutions.

Mass upload of commodity code VEU4

Hi,
While doing Mass uploading of commodity codes using VEU4 for Non European Clountry, for the Additional Info field NIHON , system by default generates =2 but our requirement it has to have a default value=0 which is to be used for both Import and Export.
How to make the field NIHON value=0?
Is it in the Text file or somewhere in the config?

Actual my requirement is to load the Commodity codes with the Field NIHON = 0 so that the commodity can be used for both Import and Export.
If I upload the text file in VIU4, by default system takes to NIHON = 1,
If I upload the text file in VEU4, by default system takes to NIHON = 2.
As mentioned in the OSS 1034696
If you confirm the dialog box with 'Yes', the system checks whether the 'Additional information' indicator of the old entry and the new entry are set differently. If this is the case, the system sets the 'Additional information' field to value 0 (Receipt / Import and Dispatch / Export).
Hence I have to execute the file in VIU4 or VEU4 for the first time to mass load of the commodity code ( by default it takes 1 or 2)
So to change the value from 1 or 2 to 0, need to execute the same file second time with YES in the dialog Box for the same data.
Note sure why SAP is so rigid here in this field NIHON as the same can be one of the Selection field.
