Mass user creation in NW 2004s

Hello Experts,
I am trying to setup mass users in SAP NW2004s which is the backend for xRPM system.
Normal method of doing this using SCAT does not seem to work.
Please let me know for possible options for mass user setup in such a system.

Sorry I could not response directly after your last message, but here is the route from SCAT to parameterization (after you have backed out from SCEM):
Start SCAT, click on the change button,
doubleclick on the Function 'TCD',
click on the Field list button,
and there you are!

In your script, you need to edit the part where you select Dialog user type and replace it with User Type = A
You may need to re-record your script but this is what is causing the problem. It is expecting the single character, not the word Dialog. It's just a "feature" of CATTS/eCATTS

Mass user creation

Hi ,
We are using CUA and we have around 15 clild systems. Central system is Solutioin manager 4.0. I need help in 2 issues.
1) When I am saving any user master data in central system, my session hangs and does not push data to child systems. Then I manually kill the SU01 transaction. This is no dump in child system and central system. How should I solve this issue.
2) We are about to add new country in project. I need to create mass users in CUA, How can I create mass users in SolMan 4.0

Can you do some workaround. This is to identify system which is creating problem.
Can you start creating test user ID for single child system from Central system.
(example if you have 15 child systems (say 1,2,3,4...) create a user ID in Central system with only one child sytem)

Is there a way to create BO users in mass, uploading an excel sheet or a txt document or something like that?
If yes, is it possible to associate groups to users in mass too?

I need to be able to create users in mass, associate some groups for them and configure credential mapping properties for them too. Just with the SDK this can be done? If yes, which SDK I have to use to develop it?

From your post, I think you are using an R/3 system. We are using the SAP-CRM 5.0 server. Do the same things apply?
Someone had suggested that i need to enter A in the user type. But i am unable to understand where to enter 'A' for the dialog users. It is not prompting me anywhere to enter an alphabet. i just have to select the user type from the drop down provided. These are the steps i am following:
1. After activating ecatt in my system, i am accessing tr. SECATT and giving the required details and am starting the recording session. In that, after giving the login details, i am selecting 'Dialog' from the dropdown menu. After the recording is done, i am saving it and exiting.
2. then reentering the test script i just created, i used the simulator and gave all the parameters. but in user type, i could not give anything different from dialog.
3. then accessing the test configurator, i extracted the .txt file, opened with the excel sheet, and gave all the details. Here too, it did not have a column for user type.
Could you just help me in this regard?

we have around 250 users that are to be created (Master data) in webclient UI, is there any way that we can create them massively at a time and assign the BP roles to users or is there any method to pull them from ABAP side (already created users ids from ABAP side)

Hi,
You can write a report program to create users in the system.
You can use FM 'BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA' to do so.
To assign created BP to the user ID, use FM 'BP_CENTRALPERSON_ASSIGN_USER'.

I think there is no standard way to delete mass portal users other than Identity management (advance search) as other said above.There is no standard procedure like IMporting multiple users.
this is a sample code for deleting a single user ( i never tried for mass deletion ) in WDJ.

Solution Manager 4.0, Red hat Linux 4.0 ES & AS, JSF user creation error

when it go the step 34 out of 44 when it create JSF user creation, I am getting error
It could not able to create Java user.
It stops. this error is coming during sapjsf user creation.
is this bug in SOL man 4.0, any one able to successfully install on Linux.
I see lot of people had probem while doing on windows, but no one tried on Linux.
I really appriciate, if some one can help on this.

The script is running very well, but when we create a new employee on HR System (No SAP) this this script is not running just for this new user but for all other users already exitents on IDM. The script increase in Mass an not just for new user.
Does anyone know if this can be related with delta configuration, or this kind of validation ( create just for new employe placed on HR) needs to be done inside the script?

is the "Create Identity"-task called by the HR-update-job?
The screenshot in the old thread just shows the three inputs. I guess, there are some more in the used task. Did you check, if the other lines have the dot as a prefix, so that these attributes are only filled (and therefor the script only runs), when the entry is created, but not updated?
If yes and it's missing for those two attributes, just add it.

Mass PST creation

What is the best mass PST creation tool? We are (unfortunately)
migrating to Exchange 2007 and want to migrate existing e-mails to PST
files. We don't plan on migrating the messages into the new Exchange
system but need to create PST's for hundreds of users.

This is controlled by a parameter of the cocurrent program or the pay_action_parameters table (setting logging)

Multiple user creation in R12 and migration of users

I would like to know how we can automate a process of user creation in R12, or is there a way to create multiple users in Ebiz with respective responsibilities.
Second case is, migration of users from one instance to another. The problem out here is selective users not all?

Pl search the forums for FND_USER package - you will find several hits that show how this package can be used in a programmatic fashion to bulk create new users and assign responsibilities. Examples are also available on My Oracle Support.
To migrate user, use FNDLOAD. See this doc - you will also find hits in these forums if you search.

BPC Mass User Management Tool in BPC 10.0 NW-Version Component Error

Hi,
We have a problem when importing request K900024.RBP and R900024.RBP.
We changed the UJ_STRING in "DATA: lv_value TYPE uj_value" in the source code as recommended at BPC Mass User Management Tool in BPC 10.0 NW
Unfortunately, when we try to import CSV files we receive a error message "BPC Version Component must be 800". Our is 801.
Where can I find this files or its upgrades? Is there a SAP link?
Can anybody help us?
