Mass user delete in portal?

I have a feeling what I want to do is not possible in the portal. We are converting all of our UME based users to LDAP. I have created the users in LDAP and prepared the import file for portal.
I need to mass delete about 120 users UME accounts in the portal. Is there a way to perform a mass delete? Unfortunately I cannot filter out the search results for the users I need to delete.
Is there some level of functionality in EP like SU10?
Thanks.
Todd

Here's one Idea.
Delete the 120 IDs in the Source System and Sync with UME. Results depent on Config Settings for UME and the Source System.

  • Mass User Deletion in Portal

    HI Experts,
    Is there anyway to Delete large number of users from Portal ,
    we know about Mass user creation but what about Deletion?
    Any thing regarding the same will be veryhelp and will be rewarded
    With Regards,
    Dayakar.

    Hi dayakar,
    I think there is no standard way to delete mass portal users other than Identity management (advance search) as other said above.There is no standard procedure like IMporting multiple users.
    this is a sample code for deleting a single user ( i never tried for mass deletion ) in WDJ.
    try {
    IUser user = userFact.getUserByLogonID(u201Cuseridu201D);
    userFact.deleteUser(user.getUniqueID());
    } catch (UMException ex)
    String.out.println(ex.toString()) ;

  • Mass User Maintenance in Portal

    Hi All,
    is there a way to do mass user maintenance in EP (7.01) just like we use SU10 in the ABAP stack? We need to change the user mapping for system access for all users (400+) for MDM catalog integration.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Marco

    Hi Pavan,
    If your requirement is just to assign user groups to a single user who exists in the Portal, you can do that through Identity Management by searching for the user and by modifying the assigned groups.
    If the user does not exist in the Portal and you wish to import the user and assign the groups simultaneously, you can use the Import feature of UME. Using the import functionality, all the user information will get imported, including the roles and groups assigned. Please refer to the below format:
    [User]
    uid=userid
    last_name=Lastname
    first_name=Firstname
    language=en
    accessibility=0
    role=pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.xxx;
    group=Administrators;
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Mass User Change in Portal

    Hi,
    I have to add two portal roles to about 150 users.  Is it possible to do it without manually adding each role to individual users?
    Regards
    Abdul

    Abdul,
    fastest way would be:
    - go to User Management on your Java-Start-Screen
    - go to "Import"
    - enter somethig like this in the big text-field:
    [Group]
    gid=MyTestGroup
    gdesc=This is the group I want
    user=user1;userid2;userid3;....
    - cicl "Upload"
    - then assign the role to the created group

    We had the same problem and it turned out that deleting a portal user(delete_portal_user), removing a portal user from a list (delete_user_from_list) or updating a portal user, the "savepoint xxxx never established message" came up when there was no context set. If the procedure is called from within a portal page (or as user portal30) ,and the context is set and it works. The solution is to check to see if the context was set, and then set it if not.
    if not portal30.wwctx_api_private.is_context_set then
    portal30.wwctx_api_private.set_context(p_user_name => 'portal30');
    end if;
    Hope this helps

  • Using Powershell to delete all users from the Portal

    Summary
    This script will delete all users from the Portal except for Administrator and the Built-In Sync account.
    Based on Markus's "Delete a User" script.
    Useful when developing your system if you want to quickly clear out the data and start again.
    set-variable -name URI -value "http://localhost:5725/resourcemanagementservice' " -option constant
    function DeleteObject
    PARAM($objectType, $objectId)
    END
    $importObject = New-Object Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Automation.ObjectModel.ImportObject
    $importObject.ObjectType = $objectType
    $importObject.TargetObjectIdentifier = $objectId
    $importObject.SourceObjectIdentifier = $objectId
    $importObject.State = 2
    $importObject | Import-FIMConfig -uri $URI

    DeleteObject -objectType "Person" `
    -objectId $objectId
    write-host "`nObject deleted`n" $displayName.Value }
    Go to the FIM ScriptBox
    http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis

    The DeleteObject function opens and closes a connection for each object.  This approach is faster:

  • BPC Mass User Management Tool error in BPC 10

    Hello,
    I've downloaded tranport files from How to use BPC Mass User Management Tool in Netweaver. But Transport import fails with RC12 without any shortdump. ABAP program ZUJE_MASS_USER_MGMT is not created.
    Version used - BPC 10 CPMBPC 801 on Netweaver 7.4 .
    Thanks in advance for your inputs.

    Tried changing transport options but no luck. Transport failed with status RC12 without creating ABAP program. However, Old version transport files imported with error. But I could not find METHOD check_bpc_component_is_valid.
    Can anyone please send the updated program.

  • Problem with tab access after user deleted from group

    9ias version 9.2.0.1
    There seems to be a problem (potential bug???) when deleting a user from a portal group. I have a portal page set up with multiple tabs. These tabs can only be accessed by users belonging to certain portal groups. When i add a user to a group, the user sees the necessary tabs when authenticated. However, if i delete this user from the group there is a problem. When the user re-logs into portal, they will see all the tabs belonging to the group they were deleted from. However, when they select this tab nothing happens and the portal goes into a state of flux (doesn't navigate). One way to resolve this is to go in as a portal admin, edit any tab and select apply. The portal then seems to refresh.
    This solution isn't practical. Is this a bug? Is there a patch or another solutions??? Thanks

    Hi Turloch! Thanks for your help!
    Those SQL Statements were extracted from the MS Access application that we will continue to use to access the data , now on an Oracle Database.
    I don't know what I can do to make this kind of statements works as it is on Access database. The first query, that I called Query1 works fine on Oracle, I just mentioned it because the 2nd Query , named Query2, use it.
    I'm not able to understand why when I change the 1st. query to a "make-table" query the Query2 works as desired, but if I keep the Query1 and Query2 as it is on the MS Access Application I got the ODBC error message and the ORA-00904 error message , related (I think!) to the FieldTmp field used on the LEFT JOIN statement (AND).
    As I told before, if I change the AND clause to compare to another field, as instance, field1 :
    FROM Query1 LEFT JOIN Table3
    ON (Table3.field1=Query1.Field2) AND
    (Table3.field5 = Query1.Field1)
    it works.
    Please, is there anything that I can do to keep the MS Access Application unchanged?
    Oracle = 8.1.6
    Oracle ODBC Driver = 8.1.6.4
    Oracle Migration Workbench = 1.3.1
    Thanks in advance,

  • How do i delete from portal.wwdoc_document?

    Hi,
    i followed the instructions of modpls user's guide and lama madi (?) an managed to build an application to up- and download files. but i store the files in my own tables. unfortunately all files uploaded are stored in portal.wwdoc_document too. I succeeded in building a report on wwdoc_document, but when i try to build a form or even when i try to manipulate wwdoc_document from sqlplus (as sysdba) i get an 'insufficient privileges'-error when i want to delete files.
    Access for select/delete for orcladmin is granted on wwdoc_document.
    So, what is my mistake?
    thank you,
    Ralf Schmitt

    Hi Ralf,
    try deleting from portal.wwdoc_document$ instead of wwdoc_document - it's an updateable system view on the same table and you can use it in-session.
    Otherwise if you wish, use portal.wwdoc_api.remove_document(name)
    Hope this helps

  • Mass Role Deletion Transport to ECC6

    Hi,
    Prior to transporting a mass role deletion through to the PRD ECC6 system, is it recommended to end date the majority of position to role relationships? End dating may maintain some visability of previous role assignments... Or is it safe to send it through and be confident that all the relationships will be removed as well as UMR based assignments?
    Any recommendations on this topics?
    Kind Regards
    Nathan

    Hi,
    Delete the roles through transports. but if you are concerning about the UMR history and end date for the roles. If so.. make sure there are no active assignments to the users.then there is no requirement for end date. in my idea generally UMR history will be there for deleted users and their assignments...as text.

    Hi stefania
    Looks like link is tricky, if you download the pdf wont work, you need to activate the pdf plugin on your browser, like firefox and read pdf from there.
    I am including the link here:

    hi gurus
    i have a bex query which users see it through sap portal, i have the case where a user X has made some drill down between rows and columns of the query (over portal), and since then every time this user X open the query, portal shows the query on the rows-columns format that the user X used once.
    What can i do in order user X see que query (on portal) in the default rows-columns??
    This problem just happen with user X, others users see the query in the default format with no problems.
    I ve tried deleting the portal personalization for user X on sap portal, but the problem persists...
    suggets?
    regards..

    If its Java only error then there wont be any dump in ST22.
    Strange issue for you, in general if we get 500 error, there should be details of it in the same page.
    You said this issue is occuring for only one user, is it getting replicated every time?
    You are also seeing the same error when u login as that particular user?
    Do one thing, assign him the Content Admin role and then do the preview of this iView form content admin and see if ur still seeing this error.

    Hi Arjun
    Please check the SAP portal and BI system version and then check the compatibility for BEx Query in IE9.
    Refer to http://service.sap.com/pam >> Click on SAP Netweaver version, here you can find the PDF files.
    BI (BEX Web) is supported on IE9 with SAP porta version 7.0 SPS24 in vista or windows 7 if you SAP portal version is 7.0

  • How to restrict Basis from User admin in Portal

    Hi,
    Iam looking to delete action Manage ALL action from Administrator role and add ReadALL so that basis is not given access to User admin in Portal. we already have Manage_All in a role that is assigned to security. However iam not sure of the problems. please advise if there would be any problem in tweaking the Administrator role as these are standard UME roles.

    Hi,
    Please try to modify User adminitrator role in the portal.
    Content Administrator>>Portal Content>>Content Provided by SAP>>Admin Content>>User Administrators>>Right click on "User Admin" role >>Permission>> IN "Everyone" Group, Uncheck the 'End User' column. then SAVE your permision.
