Massive problem when exporting my video from Adobe CS6

I have 25fps, 1440 on 780. On premiere pro, everthing seems fine, and the quality is good.
However, when i export my file (H.264), the video lags, and most importantly, has waves shaped stripes that difform the image. These lines and stripes occur as soon as there is any camera or character movement?
Is this one of my settings? PLEASE HELP!! I am desperate!!!
Thanks

  • Problem when exporting movie, video stops after 2 minutes

I set up a Project containing both images and videos. They were all shot using a digital camera (Canon SD400).
When I export the 5 minute movie, around 2 minutes the video freezes, but the music (from an mp3 file) keeps playing. At 2 minutes one of the videos start to play and the video has a little yellow button showing on it in the timeline. None of the other videos have this little yellow button, although I am not convinced that this is the one causing the problem. Here is an image of it:
    http://dombovari.com/stuff/imovie.png
Any ideas why the video playback would stop when I export it? It plays fine in iMovie when I preview the project, but when exporting, the video playback stops.
    Thanks!

I have this very same problem. All 640x480 clips shot with a Canon SD550. iMovie 5 will play back everything fine in iMovie, but once I export the file using H.264 or MPEG-4, the video stops after about 30 seconds (of the 3 and half minutes of the video). The music still plays, but the video has not exported properly (and it shows in the file size).
What WILL work is if you export it to web, but I can't use that. I need it exported at its full quality. (Also will not work, by the way.) But, again, it plays in iMovie just fine. I even tried exporting from the timeline file (with the reference media files) in the iMovie file package—but I get the exact same results.
Quite frustrating considering it works in iMovie just fine. Any other ideas, folks?

  • Problems when Exporting my video

    Hello everyone,
I am an adobe flash user, and my problem is that when i go for exporting the video to avi it exports just a snapshot of few seconds. Please help me with this matter because it's becoming irritating especially after approaching deadlines.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Which platform are you using?
Which version of Flash are you using?
What are the video/audio settings that you are using?
Are you changing the frame rate from the Flash file to the video?
Are you changing the output size from the FIash file to the video?

  • Problems when exporting HD video to tape

I have edited several hours of HD video from a Sony HDR HC7 camcorder into a one-hour video.  Capturing and editing the video with CS4 went just fine, although opening the footage and rendering it is very time consuming.  However, I have been unable to export to tape without encountering several glitches on the tape.  I define a glitch as a stop and start in the video, ranging from one-half to one second.  I have discussed my problem with Adobe technical support numerous times, and have tried everything recommended.  This includes the installation of a dedicated dual internal hard drive in the RAID 0 configuration, adding one GB of RAM using Windows, striping the tape, optimizing the system according to Adobe instructions, etc. etc.  I have a quad system, 2.33 GHz, with 3.2 GHz RAM (apparently only 3 GB is effective), which contains all of the components recommended by Adobe for using CS4 with HD.  I am using Windows XP, version 3, 32 bit.  I have no problems when I export a standard definition version of the video.  I even rented a different camcorder, a Canon HD20, which resulted in fewer glitches (in fact I was able to export one complete tape with no glitches, but only one.)  I welcome any suggestions!

I guess first I have to ask why you want to recompress and go back to tape?
On to comments on solving your problem.  Are you trying to reuse old tapes?
Recently I have started even having a few glitches in new tapes and yes I have run a cleaning tape several times through the cameras and the only tape I have ever used is Sony HDV tapes.

  • Lots of problems when exporting widescreen video

I've had similar problems to this before, but for now I'll just describe my current situation.
I shot a bunch of green screen footage in HD using a Canon XH-A1. I captured at 1080p in a 1080p HDV sequence. Everything was shot 16x9 HD using the camera's default HDV settings. I did add matte bars to give the film an artificial 2.35:1 look, though.
I had no problems with the edit at all, but when I attempt to export the video for both DVD and H264 for YouTube, it all gets crazy.
The first noticeable problem is that Premiere keeps cropping the sides of my image. If you switch from 'source' to 'output' in the preview pane you can see that portions of the image on the sides are missing. If I use a 1080p preset it looks like nothing is cropped, but for YouTube I need to do 1280x720 w/ square pixels, and for DVD I need to do 720x480 and with either of these options selected, the cropping begins.
So, my first question is, WTF is up with this cropping???
Another problem I'm having is that when I finally get the image to fill the entire 16x9 frame (through various tweaks in the many different presets - I'm not entirely sure what all I did), layers are arbitrarily moved around and thereofore placed out of sync with where they should be in my composites. Also, I always nest my final edit's sequence into another sequence so that I can crop the image to match the 2.35:1 bars (if you don't do this there's always a tiny little bit of the image underneath your matte bars that shows through when you project it).
    Wtf?
    Here are some visual aides:
Premiere cropping the sides on WS output:
    http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/3769/ppcs4wsoutputcropping.jpg
Premiere moving placement of layers in composite when outputted:
    http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/1182/ppcs4wsoutputlayersmess.jpg
    Anybody know what's up?
    Thanks!

Well, I've figured out a work-around for now...
It seems that PPro is having trouble nesting a 1080p sequence inside a 720p sequence and/or outputting a 1080p sequence to to anything other than full 1080p or 720p with anamorphic pixels at 960x720 (instead of 1280x720). I don't get it, but I found a way to get what I need... it just takes a while.
I was able to export my film to 720p H264 with anamorphic pixels. I then made a new project with a 720p sequence setting and dropped in my newly encoded 720p video. With the new project I was able to export the 720p video to any format I wanted without any of these cropping issues.
I'd still love to know what causes this.

  • When exporting a video from iMovie the video is not stabilized.

HI I'm making a video in iMovie and had to stabilize some of the clips using iMovie. When the video is played back on my Mac they video seems to be
stabilized. But once I export the video to either .mov .mp4 or export to iTunes in 720 format the video played back on other devices looks like I never
stabilized. Any ideas or suggestions to why this would happen and how to fix it?

    Hi
    Just thinking.
Video Sequence - From Event's - will not be stabilized on Export
From Project's and ticked in info window to apply to clip - Will on Export (at least have ever done so for me)
IF this do not work I would
    - Close iMovie
    - Start a New User Account
    - Log into this
    - Then try iMovie from here (Yes You might need to Re-Import / Re-Create a Project to test)
If it now works - My guess is - 99.5% iMovie Pref. or Casche files - need to be trashed in the Old User account Library.

  • What compression to use when Exporting HD video from final cut pro PAL setting

    Hi there
I'm trying to export my HD video from Final cut Pro so that I can edit it in DVD studio Pro. I initially exported it on H.264 setting however it then gives me the message 'NTSC assets cannot be imported into PAL projects' It was edited with PAL setting so I think it must be the conversion but i'm not sure which option to use.....been really struggling to get the 1 hour footage under 4.5gb without losing too much quality...
    Any advice greatly appreciated!
    thanks

    Just to add two suggestions.
    1) Consider putting your four movies on two disks.
    2) Bring your movies into Compressor and duplicate the stock DVD setting. In the Encoding pane of the Inspector, select a CBR and dial it back to around 6.2 to 6.5 Mbs. In Preview mark a small section and submit; you'll get 2 elementary streams, with m2v and AC3 extensions. Bring that into DVDSP and evaluate results. Adjust as necessary. (This is to avoid waiting out very long encodes and then having to start again from scratch if you get disappointing results.)

  • Problem when exporting raster formats from AI...

Whenever I export an image from AI using "Save for web", I get a 1px line on the top and left of the image, for both jpg and png. If I extend the background of the image past the artboard, it works.

    Syrax,
Are the artwork and the Artboard properly aligned/fitted and (with boundaries) at whole pixel values?

  • Cannot overwrite PDF when exporting to Acrobat from InDesign CS6

When exporting to Acrobat Pro X from InDesign CS6, there are times when I want to overwrite an exising file but I get an error msg that the file is in use (it is not--this even happens when I have closed the file and quit Acrobat) or i don't have permission. In the Info panel at the Finder, i see that "myusername (ME)" does have permission to read and write this file. As a test, I also changed the permissions for Admin and Everyone to Read & Write, but that did not help. I've checked Preferences in both InDesign and Acrobat Pro anc can't find a relevant setting.
To save the file with the same filename as the pre-exisitng PDF, I have to close the pre-exisitng PDF and move it to the trash.
I have no problem overwriting a PDF document from Acrobat. This only happens when I am exporting from ID.
I am on a Mac running the latest version of OSX.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Carol Gunn

Make sure that the PDF you are trying to overwrite is not selected in your finder. I've found that if it's selected in the finder then the preview tricks Indesign into thinking the file is busy

When diagnosing a failed render the first thing you should look for is the difference between the failed project and one that is successful. What is different? What changed?
Before we can get any idea of why these renders are failing we need to know the encoding settings and the type of source footage. Encoding Failed does not tell us anything useful in diagnosing the problem. If your AE project is using effects or footage that is clogging up memory or has some other problem then we should know about your AE comp as well. That means we need to know what version of AE you are using, what effects are applied, and anything else that is different in the project that fails and a simple project that does not.

  • How do I properly export my video from Adobe Premiere?

I've been trying all day and I'm deeply annoyed. I need to export it as a quicktime Mpeg-4 format and I tried, but the video was messed up and had lines of miss coloration.  I don't understand what that is. Does this have something to do with the bitrate  in the export settings.  I don't know what to do, because the projects all done but If I can't export it I might as well not have done it.

I haven't used elements in 6-7years so apologies if I miss the mark.
Am assuming videomerge merges the layers down to simplify timeline (akin to nesting?! in Pr) as haven't come across this before. Either way you probs shouldn't need to do so - put each video in a separate layer and crop and move as you have done and render and should come out great as one video file (no need to then video merge).
If you do insist on video merge, move the central big size video to the bottom layer with the 4 small ones to layers above. Then when you merge down the side videos won't get obscurred
Or use garbage matts - look in effects and should be there. Drag and drop on each clip and move cornersto selct area you want to keep just as you would for a crop. See if that sorts your problem out.
Re Premiere Pro. Great piece of software but more complicated so might not suit your needs (though may do) but not cheap (even with edu discount) if not using it for your job (check creative cloud subscription cost). Worth checking out DaVinci Resolve 11 if you want pro software (which is now free as a result of buyout)- mostly for colouring but also has editor. If you do start making decent money on Youtube (though for all I know you could be! :-) ) and want to get into some complex editing and feel limited by Elements, then definitely get pro - you won't regret it at that stage in your editing.
Finally, your screenshots genuinely look very impressive, I like the split view and nice to see people pay attention to lighting - I think lighting and sound are just soooo important (more so than what camera and lens) and far too often overlooked.

  • Camera rotation problem when exporting a camera from After Effects CC to Cinema 4D 15

Looking around, this problem is happening to a few people, with no satisfactory solution.
Basically, when I export an AE camera / project into C4D, everything looks great... till I notice that the camera's horizon will jump a few times.... so that if it were tilted 20 degrees to the left, it will pop to be tilted 20 degrees to the right.
It's definitely not in the footage- it's a simple walk down a hallway. The AE track is fine- it's only in the C4D track that the problem arises.
I've tried creating new AE projects, re-exporting, etc. I'm running AE CC and C4D 15.
Anyone ever figure out how to fix / get around this?
    Thanks!

    It's 13.2.0.49... I just installed it yesterday.
    C4D is R15.008
I'm wondering if I would have the same issue with C4D Lite, but I can't figure out how to open it (I assume it downloaded with AE). Rather than launch Lite, AE seems to automatically find C4D 15 and open that.
I've been using AE and C4D for over 15 years, so I'm quite familiar with both. The bug is odd and quite disappointing, as I bought this version of AE specifically so that I could track footage and export the camera info into C4D.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

  • "unexpected error" when w export a film from Adobe CS6 Project manager? Help?

When trying to copy over a production via Project manager to another drive the system seems to be exporting the media etc and at the very end it says "Unexpected Error. Save yoru file and retry." We've done this several times and been on the phone with tech support for eleven hours and no joy.
Anyone have any ideas? We are on 6.01 and this is still a buggy program.

    Yes,
I am producing TV shows for FOX TV in LA. We completed editing a 30 minute special for local broadcast. We need to get the piece off of our machine in the contract studio and over to sound so that we can do a sound EQ. I am using the following process.
Project Manager> Source is the film sequence with a small animation piece> Collect files and copy to a new location (our esternal media/show drive) Includes all files The project size is 125 GB. and resulting project size calculates at 125 Gb.
We next select OK and the project manager seems to be copying the project to a new location. It takes about 30 minutes and when the time bar reaches 98% it cashes. We get a diaglouge that says "an unexpected error has occured please save and try again."
We have spent hours on the phone with tech support and gone through a number of ideas inclduing checking for Microsoft conflicts etc. No joy. The machine this is on is not a server. It's a Dell on Windows 7 running 16GB of RAM but no Cuda card.
We have deadline to meet and this is not helping. If we can;t do this here we will recut the show in FCP on the MAC. I prefer Premiere but at least FCP works.
    Please advise and thank you.

  • Quality problems when exporting mini DV AVI clips CS6 ...

I'm working with some SD footage that was captured from a Sony miniDV consumer camcorder (using VideoStudio).   Files are stored in .avi format; 720x480; 29.97; PAR .9091; Gspot reports codec dvsd, DVC/DV Video.    My PC is newer with an i7 3930, 32GB, GTX 670, WD Caviar Black RAID 0.
When I play the original AVI files on my PC they look ok in Windows Media Player.  If I export a clip or two from PP using the AVI format that resultant file plays/looks ok too -  I can't tell a difference from the original although my wife claimed she could see a minor degradation in the result.   However, if I export to any other format the resultant encoding looks absolutely terrible - particularly where there is motion.   I've tried MPEG-2, MPEG-DVD, MPEG I-Frame, and H.264 formats.  I realize there is a quality loss from encoding and these other formats are more compressed, but the results are absolutely horrible.
I cannot play an .avi file natively on my PS3, but I did play all the other encodings natively on my PS3 off a flash drive and they look terrible there too.
I took the MPEG-DVD encoding and built a DVD with Encore.  Encore correctly did not transcode again.   Then I played the DVD on my PS3 and same situation - terrible.
I then took an AVI encoding exported from PP and loaded it into Encore to make another DVD, which obviously transcoded in this case.   When I play the DVD on my PS3, it looks ok.
What is going wrong here?   Did I miss something on the video settings on export for these other formats?  Or are these results expected?
    Thanks,
    Jon

On the workflow notes, I went through those posts that John Smith mentioned, especially the video which I had seen prior.   I had done what was suggested creating a sequence from the clip.  However, PP set the sequence up as progressive.  Is that to be expected?   Or did I miss something here?   Anyway, in the future I will pop over to the Settings panel and sanity check.
Regarding the Modify->Interpret and determining interlaced vs. progressive, here is a screen shot.   I can see Progressive is grayed out, so I assume that is how to tell it is interlaced, although why doesn't it tell you the field order?  In practical terms, do people just know what they are dealing with from the start in most cases?

  • How do you export 4 discrete mono audio tracks with video from Adobe Premiere Pro 4/Adobe Encoder?

I've posted this question in different terms a few times and have not had an answer.  I can't find the answer on the Premiere Pro support site either (which makes me think that a simple solution doesn't exist)
We use adobe premiere pro 4.  We capture DVCAM tapes with 4 discrete audio channels.  When we export the video using adobe encoder, the result is stereo tracks with the discrete audio channels mixed together which is completly useless to us.  When I select Mono for the output settings, two channels of audio are mixed into one audio channel.  Also useless.
When capturing the clip, we always use the mono timeline and modify the clips to mono. We can edit the discrete audio channels but when we export the video, the audio is mixed down.
this is the problem.  Each of our  4 audio channels contain a different language of dialogue.  When exported, these 4 get mixed down to 2 mixed channels blending of course the language.
Can Premiere Pro 4 export discrete mono audio channels?  How do you do it?
Does version 6 have the ability to export 4 discrete mono channels?

    Hi Steve,
Important info is missing from your post - what format are you wanting to export to, and for what purpose? We need to know how the exported file is intended to be used. Who's going to view it, using what gear? Is it for another editor to work with? End user viewing?
    Thanks
