Master Clock synchronization fix?

When i was recording some audio in Audition, I kept on getting a strange feedback effect, like a slight delay repeating everything at a much lower volume. I tracked the problem down to Master Clock being set to the wrog device, speakers instead of the mic.
Anyway, my question is: Is there a way to remove/reduce that feedback from an already recorded file? Is there some kind of filter or trick I can use to correct this?

How do I set the master clock output frequency on the PCI-1424?

We have tried everything to be able to set the Master Clock Frequency (please confirm pins 89 and 90 on the 100 pin connector). Everything we try including opening NI supplied camera files sets the Master clock to 40MHz.
You're code however does do something, the Master clock frequency is set to 5MHz when we open a camera file with your code included. All the attributes show up in MaX but changing the values from Max has no effect, and the frequency remains at 5MHz. We undertake an apply and snap after each change of value with no effect.
Am I missing something as the command OnBoardClock is supposed to be used to set the Master Clock Frequency, but you don't use that in your text at all. I would appreciate an explanation of the text yo
u use, if you have the time, as I cannot find any reference to how the software knows what "Frame Grabber Clock" is.

Software Master Clock?

Is there such a thing as a Software Master Clock for recording studios? I'm talking about the Clock that syncs all digital hardware such as converters. There is a super-precise clock inside every computer, so it's odd to have to rely on an external hardware clock...

do you mean a software version of something like this:

if that's what you mean, it's an interesting idea.. you could dedicate an old computer like a demoted G4 to the task, instead of buying a dedicated unit.
I've not heard of any software like this.. but one would think that someone like apogee could certainly make a software version of big ben, even with a PCI card. it might end up cheaper for them to put on the market, and given that studios turn over computers a fair bit these days it might have a demand.

E-series board clock synchronization (master/slave)

Platform: Win2k, LabView 6.02i, NI-DAQ 6.9.2
I have two PCI 6071E DAQ boards and would like to define one of them as a master that uses its internal samping clock and the second - as a slave, getting its sampling clock from the first one. I used the example "Two E Series Shared Scan Clock " example to do it, but got strange results.
The question is, how can I check that the slave really uses master's scan clock (say, using a two-beam oscilloscope) ? Are there outputs on 6071E that can prove that the boards are synchronized ?

Since the slave board on that Labview example VI is configured to expect an external Scan clock pulse train, and later on the same example the Scan clock is defined to be one of the RTSI lines, if the slave board is acquiring any data, that means that the synchronization is in place.
To double check the synchronization visually, you can hook up a 2 channel scope, and maybe hook up two waveforms you know are in phase, one to channel 0 of the master boar and the other to channel 0 of the slave board. Then, configure the scope to trigger of channel 0, and connect channel 0 of the scope to the master board and channel 1 of the scope to the slave board.
With that setup, you will see both waveforms in phase on the scope.

Can clock synchronization be implemented by pure java?

I want to build a simple distributed application, whose main purpose is to synchronize the local system clock in the slave JVM with the clock in the master JVM. Can it be implemented by pure java? Or I have to use JNI to implement it?
And although the application is mainly used in LAN, the delay of transferring the data of time is small, but is there any algorithm to minimize the difference of system clock between the master and the slave?

No. You can not synchronize the System Clock (clock) in 100% Pure Java.
Using The Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Java, you can access the current time from many servers around the world.
The problem here is that you can't change the clock through Java without an interface to the actaul clock.
Since the clock is a native component (application, service, or utility) you can't change it while being 100% Pure Java.
That does not mean that you can't do it at all. It just will not be Pure Java. You can, however, test to see what system you are on and then adjust the method used.
On a Windows system, the clock is set by the Control Panel applet "Date and Time." This applet can be updated using the Command Driven Interface (CDI), also known as a Command Prompt. To do this you can use the Java object Process. The parameter, a String value, should point to the location of command prompt. Then add a PrintStream object to the Process object. Send the following line (using PrintStream.println()) - "time" and "date"
To update the time use the following line:
time [ time ]
Use the time format: hh:mm:sec
To update the date use the following line:
date [ date ]
Use the date format: mm-dd-yy
This will work on Windows machines (3.x, 95, 98, Me, NT, XP) MS-DOS (all versions with Date/Time capability).

Clock synchronization of a NI-6111 with a NI-6602

We are trying to synchronize two boards. One is a NI-6602 and the other one is NI-6111. We have already synchronized both devices using the OUT signal from the 6603 (PFI32) and routing it to RTSI_5. Now we would like to synchronize both onboard clocks. We were able to route the 20MHz clock of the 6602 to RTSI_7 using a DaqMX subVI but when we attempted to read that signal with the NI-6111 using the VI AI clock config, it is not allowing to us to configure the clock source in that VI as RTSI_7. Any ideas?

It appears that you're using DAQmx with the NI-6602 device, but the Traditional DAQ driver (since you're using the AI Clock Config VI) with NI-6111. Is this correct? If so, is there a reason why you're doing so since both boards support DAQmx?
Each device can use one driver at a time. If you're using AI Clock Config, and right click the "Clock Source" and choose Create >> Constant, you should be able to choose "RTSI Connection", and indicate the RTSI pin number. However, unless you have a specific reason, I would recommend using DAQmx for both boards. You can consider LabVIEW shipping examples such as "Multi-Device Synch-Analog Input-Cont Acquisition.vi" as a starting point.

Asset master data synchronization with HR Master data

Dear Experts:
I am FI consultant and i am doing Research on Synchronization of asset master data with HR master data. Our management wants that if company gives any thing which is regarded as an asset e.g Laptop, expensive tools e.t.c to its employee then beside opening its asset master data in FI it should also be updated in HR Employee master data. For this from FI side there are 3 asset classes for which we want that if any asset is opened in these classes then the data should be updated in HR. I have turned on Personnel number in screen layouts and have fetched this field in asset reports. We want
1...Asset Description
2...Cost Center
to be updated in HR master data. Now my question is that how this can be achieved. Is it possible? What configuration will need to be done for it.

FOr assets created in FI and reflect them in HR use the feature ANLAC and it will take care.
This feature determines whether or not the system checks the fields Asset number in infotype 0040 (Internal Control) and Loan object number in infotype 0040 (Objects on Loan) against database ANLA.

Help a newbie on centering a Master Div for fixed site.

I'm 1 day into using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and creating a website. I'm sure I'm in way over my head. I have created a one-page fixed layout website so far and just watched a tutorial video on how to center it inside a browser.
It said to put a <div> after the opening <body> and close the div before the body. I did that. It then told me to create a rule that looks like the following:

   width: 1024;
   margin: 0px auto;
Then it said to assign the rule to the new div. So I wrote it like this:
<div id="Master">
But it's not working. My largest div width is 1024 so it should catch everything. I'm guessing something is over ruling it? Any thoughts?

Actually the zoom feature will only do this if you are set to zoom text only. Zooming without that does not disproportionately enlarge the text - it enlarges everything.
For sure. But my thinking is IF people do only set the zoom to enlarge the text it breaks down. So better safe than sorry. Of course it does bring into question all sorts of IF's and BUT's and why some may think its acceptable to use AP positioning given modern browsers will now zoom everything. I guess if/once the 'zoom text only' feature disappears you have to call into question why not build using AP positioning. The web will then become much like DTP.

Master data Synchronization with SAP XI - IDOC

I have scenario to synchronize master data between ERP1 -
> ERP1, for example GL Account (FS00). Every time user make a changes in the ERP1 on the GL Account screen (FS00), by automatically system will be generated IDOC and sending to XI.
is that scenario can be done ? or have to do manually to send the IDOC.

You can achieve this using IDoc and PI using following scenario.
1) Populate IDoc in 1st SAP system and pass it to the second system as direct IDoc to IDoc transfer.
Ex: Basic Idoc Type: HRMD_A07
2) If direct communication between two XI system is not allowed then you can use PI as middle ware to transfer data.
But for IDoc you need to create partner profile and ports etc.

How to setup Microsoft Outlook (office 2011) as Master for synchronization

I have a bothering problem between Apple and Microsoft
1) How do I configure Microsoft Outlook (Part of Office 2011 package) as master for contacts, apointments,... for synchronization needs wit Apple products?
2) How does ICal, Mail and Adressbook get the same input automatically?
3) How do I setup the synchronization (maybe via icloud) correctly that Iphone 4s and Ipad2 get the same input status aslo directly synchronited?
At the moment what ever I tried I get multiple entries, wrong/missing apointments/only available on macbook not on iphone neither on ipad....
Its pain in the a&% to do all the time manual deleting efforts on each device...
Anyone experience?

K8N Master C&Q fix for new CPU's when it doesn't work!

There are some older K8N Master boards that do not do C&Q properly with new CPU's.
Those boards need a rework.
If your board turns off when selecting Laptop or Minimal power option in Windows energy settings, then you have this problem.
You either RMA the board or when you know how to solder you can do it yourself.
If you solder nicely you won't lose warranty.
(Don't do this if you are not a sodering expert!!!!! then just RMA)
What you need to do is remove Q123 and Q124.
I will attach pictures so you know where they are.
If you don't care about Cool&Quiet, then don't bother.
BIOS 1.21 or later is required before you attempt this!

hello all, I spoke with MSI tech support in the U.S. regarding getting an RMA for my board with this problem and they claim no knowledge of this problem at all. say they never heard of any issue with this board and this problem. they say they will give me an RMA and see if they can "recreate the problem". but this seems strange to me given the talk of people here and getting this resolved by MSI.
any idea why they say they never heard of this? any info I can give them on this to show MSI (in Taiwan) of having known of this issue?

BCS and BW Master Data Synchronization

The consolidation system (SEMu2013BCS) uses precisely one RFC destination to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI). This RFC destination is used to transmit the transaction data to the consolidation system. If you do not specify an RFC destination, the system uses the BI located in the SEM system.:
