Master Collection vs Creative Cloud

I have purchased Creative Suite Master Collection CS6 and would like to start using Digital Publishing Suite in Indesign. But I have been told that I need to buy DPS Single Edition, but a friend of mine is using the Creative Cloud and is able to upload unlimited number of Apps. If I bought DPS Single Edition this would only cover uploading 1 App and I would have to purchase a Single Edition for every App I wanted to upload, is this correct?
If this is so I have then bought the Master Collection for no benefit and should just become a creative cloud member so that I can upload as many Apps as I choose, or is there a benefit to having bought the Master Collection?

If your goal was to create Single Edition apps then you did indeed make
a mistake buy Master Collection. If it's been less than 30 days you can
still get a refund, if not, you're still better off moving to CC since
you'll get an upgrade to the next release of Creative Suite which, based
on the 12 month upgrade cycle would be pretty soon. Additionally, at
only $360 for the first year, that's still less than the cost of one
Single Edition app.

    I go only one year on a Vocational School and i get the student bonus, when i buy the Master Collection, how long i have to pay per month? There are the 30,74€ and when the school ends, its automatically 61,49€ per month? The Master Collection is unlimited, when i had buy? But how long i must pay for this?
    And is this only a digital Version or get a CD Version delivered?

    I own the CS6 Master Collection, and I was just logging in to check for updates on the Adobe Application Manager and I am now being asked to log in for Creative Cloud and to Accept or Decline the Creative Cloud terms and conditions.
    Considering I own the CS6 Master Collection suite, I have no need to then pay for Creative Cloud services, I simpy want to check for updates.

    I had first subscribed to Photoshop on the Cloud, then when the Black Friday sale came along I unsubscribed from that and subscribed to the full Creative Cloud for the same price. Then I got the Master Collection on disc, so I unsubscribed from the Cloud. Actually, I had to unsubscribe twice because ADOBE SCREWED UP the first time. 1 1/2 hrs on the phone EACH time. So now I find out that Adobe never actually cancelled my subscription, they just let it expire. NOW that it is expired I cannot use my Master Collection!? What is that all about?
    Most of the stuff I had installed was off the Master Collection disc and not from the Creative Cloud.
    Does anyone have a North American phone number were I can contact someone that speaks clear English, that doesn't have to pass me on to someone, that passes me on to someone else?

    Here is the answer to this problem. You will have to do it with each program you have installed from the Master Collection.
    Launch the product.
    When the dialogue box pops up saying the trial is over, then  click "license software".
    Then Login using your Adobe ID.
    Then enter your serial number.

    Some time ago I purchased Master Collection CS6 then later I joined creative cloud but then cancelled my subscription later on - now I am wanting to use my purchased master collection software again.  When I cancelled my creative cloud subsciption I uninstalled the creative cloud software, then later installed the master collection software from a download link provided in my account.  After installing master collection it accepts my serial number without any problems but when I open a master collection application such as photoshop a window pops up telling me to renew my subsciption - but my subscription has already been cancelled, so I am unable to use any of my master collection applications.  Is there any way I can get my master collection software to work, without being advised to renew my subscription - thanks for any help you can give me - much appreciated - cheers Amanda

    I too have a CS6 master collection license and after syncing some settings with a CC subscription for a company I work for all my CS6 licenses ask me to license the software or start a trial.   I feel really let down because Adobe already caused a 2 month down time for me in the past trying to figure out that Windows Sleep was the cause of a nagging registration screen constantly.    The copy protection placed on the CS6 suite was horrendous I would have rather had credit toward CC after all the trouble I've had with the nagging trial screens in CS6 Master Collection.
    What can be done to fix this nag screen, currently I have to enter in my license every time I open a tool.

    In order to help you better please provide me more information about the application you are using.
    Which version of Acrobat you are using and what is the exact error message that you are getting also let me know when that message poping up.
    Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat. Is it creative could subscription that you have or you have Master collection suite Cs 6.0.

    So, long story short, I got the Adobe Master Collection and installed it, put in the serial number, etc and everything was great. Until today.
    I am now getting a message whenever I open any of the programs that the trial had expired. I never signed up for the Creative Cloud for a subscription, just made a sign-in name and all that because I thought I needed it for updates, and the MC was listed as one of my products separate from it (until recently, I'm attempting reinstalling and see what happens). This was FAR before the 30 day thing; I had MC installed since last year Feb 19th and I just started getting these messages. Has anyone else encountered this?
    The Master Collection is my property, a gift from family, and I am losing the ability to use it?

    Hi, Have Master Collection Version 6 installed on SSD since 23 May 2014 which has always worked. Apparently a family member installed or activated a free Creative Cloud Membership on this computer while I was away. The membership period for the free Creative Cloud has expired.
    Problem: Programs from the Master Collection Version 6 no longer open.
    A window with CS6 Master Collection typed at top left appears.
    Center of window has a hotlink “Save 40% on Creative Cloud.”
    Bottom has 2 buttons, “License this Software” which is active and “Continue Trial” which is not.
    “License this Software” opens a sign in required window.
    Sign in is successful and opens a Provide Serial Number window.
    Copied serial number which is stored on Adobe website under My Products.
    Message window appears: “The serial number you provided is invalid. Please try again.”
    Notes:
    The Adobe software is only installed on this machine.
    The original installation was on an older hard drive which crashed (fortunately I had system image backups elsewhere).
    I copied everything, Windows 7, programs, files over to a new SSD system drive and new HD for data files.
    OS, programs, and files all functioned without any problems
    The Adobe programs worked without any need to register the product again.
    Therefore I do not believe that multiple installation limits are the issue
    Any help on getting the Master Collection to function again is appreciated.
