Hi,
We deleted Master data in the system with help of deletion program,  now I need to check whether any data existed or not, how can search for that plz let me know if any ..
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sadna
You can see the changes made in infotypes using the following report

  • POS DM master data check

    Hi all,
is it possible to perform articles master data check (eg. ean code or article code existence) on sap retail master data instead of bw 0material?
    Thanks a lot
    Ado

    Hi Anthony,
here some answers to your questions:
1.) How does it check the existence of related master data? If you look at the details of a delta infopackage, you will not find an option to check for master data as compared to a normal delta infopackage.
==> you cannot check the refrential integrity via the InfoPackage, hence you have to this via transormations (if needed)
2.)  Will it load the transaction data even if no master data exist for the transaction data?
    ==> Yes
3.) Also in this process, will it create the master data SID table entries while it loads the transaction data into the DSO? There may be some master data referenced by the transaction data which may not exist in the source system yet and therefore not loaded into the master data infoobjects yet.
==> Yes, but this behaviour is the same as for periodic (non-RDA) transactional data loads.
4.) The concern I have is when running a process chain to load master data such as 0ACCOUNT, 0COMP_CODE and followed by an Attribute Chain Run at the end of this process chain, will the locks established by this Attribute Chain Run crash the RDA daemon when it tries to load those transaction data that have new master data in them ?
==> You do not have to worry about conflicts / concurrent locks with the Attribute Change Run. The only process that could be critical, is the loading via RDA and periodic master data via DTP, which could result in a error in the DTP (you can resolve this very unlikely event by restarting the DTP or by triggering the re-load of  the master data from the source system). In general, we would assume that these 2 events are highly unlikely to conflict.

  • Master data check not working when loading into and ODS object

    Hi guys,
we are loading transactional data into an ODS from a flat file.
In the infopackage, we have checked the option :
"Do not update data if no master data exists for a characteristic".
This option seems to be unreliable :
For some characteristics (it seems those loaded using transfer rules (routines)), incorrect data is still loaded into the ODS even if no entry exist in the associated infoobject master data table.
    Any help appreciated.
    Many thanks !
    Pierre-Yves

    Hi Dear,
please delete all the incorrect master data from the master data characteristic first and then try to uploading the data again .It should work, because there migth be some master data created when data were loaded with out the check before.
And please check whether all your characteristic info object are of master data , I mean that in the infoobject defination you have checked the master data check box on the info object. If you have only text then it might fail the master data check.
    hope this help.

  • Vendor Master Data Check

    Dear Gurus,
I have to configure certain checks for Vendor Master duplication checks.
Can you please tell me the node in IMG and revent details for this config or if you can give the link.
    Regards
    Raju

    Hello,
If I understand your questions correct, you would like to generate a pop-up list in case if you are going to create a vendor or customer master record with the same name.
    You can do this by:
IMG ==> Financial Accounting ==> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ==> Vendor Accounts ==> Master Data ==> Preprations for Creating Vendor Master Data ==> Change message control for Vendor Master Data
Give message numbers 144 and 145
Put I (Information) for Online as well as batch.
I would not recommend you put E (Error) as there are possibility that there may be vendors or customers with the same name exists in your business.
Hope this solves your problems otherwise please let me know.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Master data check

How i can find if there some master data look up in my transfer rules or update rules?
I read only about this in update:
Data Updata Type in Data Target
x Always update data even if no master data exists for the data
x Do not update data if no master data exists for a characteristic
    Any suggestion?

    Hi,
there are two parts in your question:
    1. For the first part, Just go the update rules or transfer rules and check for an update type 'Materdata attribute of'  (or) check all routines that does this masterdata look up programmatically using ABAP.
    2. The second part deals with a different subject of validating transaction data with the masterdata. (called referential integrity check). As per the data update type you set in the infopackage (the two options you mentioned above), the data load behaviour can be affected.
    Hope this helps.

  • Manually maintain master data: check referential integrity?

    Dear Experts,
we want to maintain master data via transaction RSA1 oder RSDMD.
Is it possible to enforce referential integrity?
    Example:
Infoobject A has attribute Infoobject B
Infoobject B has master data keys
    101
    103
When maintaining attributes in Infoobject A (with transaction RSDMD) only allow to maintain Infoobject B 101 or 103 but not 102.
    Best regards
    Gregor

    Hi Gregor,
That is because I think you have sected check  inegrity box for any particular Object then.....the values which are coming are checked with masterdata table.......if the value are not existing in the masterdata then those records are not updated to the target..............
In your case 102 is not present in A
If still you want to laod then there is one setting
You have activated error handling in the BW scheduler (Tab page Update)
On the Update tab page in the BW scheduler, you have selected the option Always update data, even when no master data exists for the data.
    hope it will help.

  • Master data is not getting enabled in the InfoSet.

    Hi Experts,
I have 3 DSOs in an InfoSet and I have also brought 2 Master data infoobjects in this infoset.
The master data check box in the infoset is not enabled and also not getting displayed in the Query Designer.
Can anyone please let me know how do I bring the master data in the query???
Also please advice me whether I should have only 3 DSOs in the infoset.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
In my DSO I have an InfoObject called Emp No. in the Data Field.
The Emp.No is being maintained as master with (Emp Name, Address, Telephone No, DOB) as attributes.
I have loaded the data in the Emp. No master. Then tried loading the transaction data in DSO.
The Emp.No is there in the DSO active data, but in the query designer its not getting displayed.
    Hope its clear.
    Please help.
    Thanks

  • Master Data Save Through BPS - BI and BPS Related

    Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding BI and BPS working together.
1.Does all infoobject used in BPS layout have to be master data enabled to avoid BPS created master data? By this I mean, if an infoobject doesn't have 'with master data' check box enabled, and has only'with text' enabled, the new masters created in BPS gets saved to the infoobject? Is this how it is expected to behave? Is there a work around to avoid creating master data from BPS?
2.We have a multiprovider for actuals and budget. Budget comes from BPS which has only cal quarter. But the budget and actuals cube have year and quarter. In the actuals we are deriving quarter and year from trnasaction date in update rule. But for budget, we have only quarter being entered by user. Is there a way to derive the year and store in budget infocube so that reports derived out of the multiprovider can show year correctly for both budget and actuals?
    Thanks
    Suja

    >1. BPS cannot create master data at all and that setting is irrelevant fo bps. Users can only forecast on existing master data.
This is wrong. If your infoobject doesnt have master data, then values inputted in layouts will be written into the infoobject.
    >1.Does all infoobject used in BPS layout have to be master data enabled to avoid BPS created master data?
By this I mean, if an infoobject doesn't have 'with master data' check box enabled, and has only'with text' enabled, the new masters created in BPS gets saved to the infoobject?
    yes
    >Is this how it is expected to behave?
    I think, yes
    >Is there a work around to avoid creating master data from BPS?
The only way, i suppose, to create infoobject with master data

checked BPC dim, only member ID & currency is updated, but not evdescription.
Can you please share valuable inputs.
    thanks,

    resolved problem.
Packages given bpc7.5 nw sp10 are is exactly working.
    Mapping section:
    ID=0CO_AREA+ID
    CURRENCY=0OBJ_CURRENCY
becoz base members are automatically added with controlling area in BW hierarchy on 0costcenter.
Followed method given in how to guide.

  • Unable to make entries for objects with no master data in IP

    Hi All,
In BPS, when created a layout, which contains characteristics, in whose properties 'Master Data' is not checked, we could enter the new values for them directly in the layout.
In IP, we could not do the same with the 'New Lines" option set on Analysis Item in the WAD for the characteristics whose master data property is not checked.
We have a layout, where, some characteristics are having master data checked, and some other characteristics where master data is not checked.
With the 'New Lines' option set on Analysis Item in the WAD for the characteristics whose master data property is not checked, when data entered, the error message is appearing saying that the data is not valid.
This is so quite simple in BPS. I think, I might be missing something in IP on how to achieve this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Best Regards,
    - Shashi

    Hi,
In IP it's integerated that if you will not maintain master data you may not be able to plan for new value of characteristic. It's the normal behavior of system.

  • Loading a master Data in bi7

    Hi BW experts!
currently iam working in bw3.x, my client is upgading to BI.7 Here we have sand box iam practing loading a master data in BI.7 version . mastrer data has been successfully loaded to psa . when i try loading the data from psa to DT by using of DTP its not taking all recorsds to dta target and its loading only one header record only . Can any one suggest me on this issue.i searced ain this issue in forums i did nt get any solution
    Regards
    RK

    Hi rama krishan,
i think based on the keyfield all the data is over written and last record of PSA is available in infoobject master data.
check the data and load data with different keyfield data.

  • Reg: No enries in SID table of attribute of a  Master data info object

    Hello SAP Gurus!!!
I Hope everyone is doing good.
I found some issues , when i loaded master data into master data info object in sap bi.
I have an object which is holding master data (master data info object)---ZEMPID(employee id)
I have attributes for this object are :   Emp name , Emp Phone number
I loaded master data attributes into ZEMPID. I could see some entries in SID table of ZEMPID char info object  .
But i am unable to see the entries in SID table of Emp name , which is a attribute of master data info object.
According to my knowledge whenver we load data into sap bi , automatically sid values will get generated for that characterstic info object.
so here in this case  Emp name is also a char info object , so whenever we load the data into master data info object , we have to see the entries in SID table of Emp name also  .But i am unable to see the entries in the SID table of Emp name. .
So what might be the problem ?
    Awaiting for your valuable answers!!!
    Cheers!!

    Hi Rajavamshi,
You are right whenever we load data in BI, it will create SIDs for info objects.
But it will create SID in 'S Table' not in X/Y - Table.
If master data is enabled for Emp name then it will create SID in X/Y table. I think the master data is not enabled for attribute(Emp Name).
Please check in S Table, the SIDs will be there.
If it is not the case, activate the attributes info objects and EMPID info object and load the master data and run ACR for EMP ID.
If it is not working still, then do master data check in RSRV.

  • Master Data Hierarchy - Urgent requirement

    Hi All,
I have a requirement  with respect to master data check for the hierarchy
I have a costcenter hierarchy where in the values for costcenter is coming from other system
Now for the costcenter hierarchy master data
when I load the flat file for hier to the above costcenter master data, it should perform the check such as
Befor loading the files to the master data, it has to do a master data validation check means it has to check the data from the flat files with respect to master data hier table(/bic/h*)
If the flat files has values which are not exist in the costcetnter master data, the laod should fail
I have explored various options but not able to figure out the solutions.
There is no update rules/ no transformation
Kindly let me know how to solve the same ASAP

try writing a code in the infopackage level. This might solve your problem

  • Check on Master Data Value (User Manual Input)

    Hi all,
    i have the following situation:
User has to insert a set of Characteristic Value (these are not limited in level for any value nor variable) to be able to enter layout and does manual planning, with my great astonishment i have noticed that BPS does not do any check on the master data value inserted by the user, for example if user insert value '1' for 0payscalety CH instead of '01' the system does not give any error message and goes directly to perforate the Master Data with this wrong value.
Does exist any setting/tip to avoid this unpleasant situation?
    Many thanks in advance
    Fabio

    Hello Fabio,
personal I would not set up a data model, which makes differences between 01 and 1. It is known that this will make always problems in the future.
I believe it is quite more unpleasant that SAP does not provide detailed documentation...
    You can use e. g.
    - conversion routine in BW char.
    - message, fox
    - char. rel. and / or ABAP
    - drop down list which does not allow manual input
to manipulate before / after input. These are some of those possibilities, which SAP provides.

    Hi!
    Welcome to SDN.
you have to check the master data tables.
soo in Se16 you have to select the appropriate master data table and view the data.
following thread explains about masterdata tables
