In master data synchronization FSCM for business partner contact person do I have to setup a different bp number range or do they take the same number of the contact person assigned in the customer master?
If not is there a way we can configure the BP contact person such that it takes the same number as Customer Contact person.

I am not able to sync ECC-Customer/Contact Person as FSCM-BP/Contact Perso.
And Contact Person doesn't appear in worklist.
Customer created/changed (with a Contact Person) is synced, but, fails when there is a Contact Person.

Person Responsible in cost center master data

Currently in cost center master data the field -"Person Responsible "is mandatory.
How can I delete this definition-meaning make it as not mandatory.
Also how can I hide this field.

Master data authorization by geography

Hi,
we need to build master data authorization based on geography. need is to have a flexible way of assigning visibility to master data (accounts/ contacts) to sales teams based on the geographical distribution. e.g a sales rep from California should be authorized to view accounts based out of california and no other region.
can you recommend some ways to achieve this. we know we can define sales orgs to achieve this but we are looking for a more flexible way dont want to change sales org as it has a dependency on back end ERP too.

Vendor master data - Contact person (4.7 release)

Hi All,
I'm working on SAP 4.7 and I can't use the contact person in the vendor master data (it's hidden) because I'm not working with a SAP retail system. If I change standard program MF02KFMR in the form RETAIL_OR_STANDARD I can change the value of the field INT_SYSDEF-SYSDEF (from 00 to 01) as SAP was retail system and the view contatct person appears.
Do you think it's a good idea or I can find some problems in the vendor master data with this change (INT_SYSDEF-SYSDEF = 01)?

Sorry.
Since ERP 2005, vendors master data do support maintenance of contact persons in the core.
Previously, this was true only for IS-Retail.
ALE Distribution of vendor contact persons has never been developped.
So your ADR3MAS idocs do surely integrates perfectly in the inbound system expect that this will be an orphaned Person.
The link will the contact person (KNVK) will never occurs as there is no E1KNVKM segment in CREMAS !

we can maintain alternative e-mail id, Phone Number, Fax Number etc. for a Vendor, go to MK02 ehter the vendor you want to change, in the Basic data view under communication tab page you can maintain all these parameters apart from the one whcih will be marked as Standard for communication.

Searching in business partner master data (properties and contact persons)

Hello,
concerning the need of a customer i am asking for a optimizing of the search in business partner master data.
It should be possible by a soon coming patch to have the tabs properties and contact persons available in the search modus.
I hope this is a functionality which SAP looks on like a nice and essential function, too, and can integrate this in a soon coming patch.
The customer is running SAP B1 2005A PL39
The same funktion concerning the properties would be great at the item master data.
This post is concerning the sap support message 842328 / 2008.

Hi Susana,
The current system maximum properties are 64. You cannot define more.
However, as an alternate you can check the "Group" in the Business Partner Master Data and then can define different Properties for different Group of Business Partners.
Check this if any help in your case.

This is because of the suppressed entry in the account group creation.
Go to TC : OBD2 :
Select your account group and then go to the details in the magnifying options you will find the datails of the sales area ....
In the sales area go to bussiness partner assignment.
Radio it to optional entry......
now create customers...

Want to import work contacts to personal BB

I have a personal 8830 that I would like to put my contacts from work on. We have Outlook 2003/Exchange at work and a BES server that communicates with my work 8830 BB. I have Yahoo mail set up on my personal 8830 BB. Is there a way to copy my Outlook work contacts to my personal 8830?

You mean you have two 8830 one for work (configured with BES) and one for personal (configured with BIS). Now you want to tranfer your work contacts in personal 8830.
Approch #1
Make a backup of your work BB in your desktop/laptop. Now use Backup and Restore process to tranfer your address books in personal BB.
Connect your work BB with PC
Click on Backup & Restore
Click on Back up button under Backup
You'll be asked to specify a location to keep your backed up data
Now remove your work BB and connect your personal BB
Click on Advanced button under Advanced
Click on File menu at the top left hand corner and select Open
Find the backed up file that you've save in your PC
From the left hand side (computer databases) highlight Address Book and click on (>>) arrow button
Note: With this process you'll be losing all the data saved in your personal BB

Step #1
Connect you personal BB with your desktop Manager in your office PC (where work outlook address is available). If you device is set to wireless sync then you need to turn off wireless synchronization. To do so go to Address Book -> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes.
Step #2
Click on the Synchronize button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address Book (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization radio button and click OK twicego back to Synchronize tab ->click on Synchronize Now.

6700 lost data from contacts and calendar

Help needed!!!!
Does anyone else have any problems with their 6700 deleting data when phone is switched on and off??? And if not and you've a 6700 can you see if yours works and let me know!
I've had 2 different handsets and both pose the same issue that Orange Tech Support haven't heard of before....
In my contacts when I go to 'add detail' for each contact, choose 'personal information' then 'birthday', I input the relevant date which then saves it to my contact and automatically puts it in my calendar. All fine until I switch the phone off, as when I come to switch it on again its wiped the birthday information from both the calendar and each contact..... As my phone is my oragniser iys driving me mad and I need a solution!!!!
Any thoughts welcome!!!

I had this exact same problem on my 6700 classic... this is what i did and it seems to have resolved the issue (not sure if the steps listed are all necessary... they just happen to be the ones that i took... not going to try it again with the risk of the birthdays problem returning!):
1) backup phone using the inbuilt backup (not ovi suite backup)
2) opened ovi suite and checked for firmware update
3) selected the option to restore the firmware on my phone (am on 10.50)
4) selected option not to backup and restore the phone
5) let the firmware install
6) restarted the phone
7) added a test contact with birthday
8) checked calendar to ensure birthday was there
9) restarted phone
10) contact birthday was still there
11) deleted test contact
12) went to phone option to restore backup
13) everything restored
14) had to reset home menu order and custom selection and lost log of calls made, but all that didn't really bother me... managed to get the phone back and working!
Mine is a unbranded unlocked phone i got from germany by the way... just moved from samsung to nokia... still getting use to nokia!!! (am a developer so not exactly tech illiterate either!).
Anything you try here is at your own risk... i would take a backup of your phone using ovi suite just incase the phone backup does not work... however do not reflash and restore it using the ovi suite... i tried that and it didn't solve the birthday issue.

Deleting a Contact on Customer Master with that Contact on Open Sale Orders

Our current SAP system ECC 6.0 allows a user to delete a Contact from the Customer Master where that Contact is also on Open Sales Orders.
Then when our create delivery job runs, it abends saying Contact record not found.
How is this normally handled ? Are users not suppose to delete Contacts from the Customer Master if they are attached to an Sales Order ? Is there some config to turn on in SAP that checks for Open Sales Orders before deleting a Contact in the Customer Master ? Do I code this check in User Exit on the Save in the Customer Master and not let user delete the Contact if it's attached to Open Sales orders ?
Would appreciate any help on this.

Error in Remote Web Access - "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again. If the problem continues, contact the person who manages your server."

I have set up the RWA and I can log in to the web console with my server account. However when I click on any of the shared folders I get this error:
An unexpected error occurred. Please try again. If the problem continues, contact the person who manages your server.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

I had this very same issue with one of our customer's servers that was running Windows Server Essentials. I ended up calling Microsoft about the issue. I hope this helps someone. Troubleshooting Steps:
1. We were getting unexpected errors while accessing shared folders remotely
2. The tech found IIS handlers were missing
3. She went to IIS > server level ( parent level) and added managed handler mapping :

How do you add a custom label to dates in contacts.....

How do you add a custom label to dates in contacts- I have multiple birthdays in contact group and want to change label through customise to add additional birthday- unless another way to add second birthday to contacts and identify each one?????? or way to link contacts with same address phone number etc but id birthdays?????

You have some contacts with more than one birthday?
To add a custom label for a date, select Edit for an existing contact. Select Add Field. Select Date. Scroll up with the Info window above the date selection and select Other for the new date selection. Select Add Custom Label and then select this label for the new date field for the contact.
As far as linking dates with multiple contacts, the answer is no to that.

Extra dates in contacts- how to get them to show in calendars

I have added custom dates to contacts in IPhone - but only the primary birthday and anniversary show in calendar on phone. Is there any way of showing additional dates in calendar?????

jins72, no offense meant i guess somehow the addition of anniversary dates is appearing in your calendar and you are striving to get the other dates to show up in your calendar. For me only the birthdate is showing but not the anniversary dates. We are working on getting that resolved

We have enabled context sensitive DFF in Bank Branch Page for HZ_PARTIES DFF , We have created Flex Map so that only bank branch context fields are only displayed in the bank branch page and as we know party information DFF is shared by supplier and Customer Page so we dint want to see any Bank Branch fields or context information in those pages.
We have achieved the requirement but when open existing branches bank branch update is throwing below error message :
"The value in flexfield context reference web bean does not match with the value in the context of the Descriptive flexfield web bean BranchDescFlex. If this in not intended, please go back to correct the data or contact your Systems Administrator for assistance."
this error is thrown only when we open existing branches, if we save existing branch and open then it is not throwing any error message.
Please let us know reason behind this error message.

Print Problem - PDF is OK on Windows 7, but OK on Windows XP with "Acrobat Reader An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."

I have received a PDF which prints fine in Windows 7 but with Windows XP I get "Acrobat Reader An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." and a blank piece of paper passes through the printer. I appreciate that Windows XP is no longer supported but I would like to think that the solution to this problem is not too difficult!
I have tried Acrobat 9, 10 and 11.
Any advice (apart from use Windows 7! ) would be most welcome.

If you use the same Adobe Reader versions with the same PDF on Windows 7 and XP, then I would expect the outcome to be the same.
Is this a local or online PDF?
If local, is the file really exactly the same?
If online, in what browser?
