I guess you are asking for assignment of installation to POD (table euiinstln)?
Then you should check 0UC_PODINST_ATTR.

You might need some of these listed below. I have worked with Bidding Engine part and we needed the Purch org, Purch group, Status texts MD datasources. Check in the Shopping cart flow (rules) if there are any lookups on MD objects. In such case you would need to maintain MD for those.

You can use the table ROOSOURCE. The field ROOSTYPE specifies the type of datasource whether Transaction or attributes or text. You could write an abap program to filter the table and give you only master data datasources.

Master Data Datasources

I would like to know from where do the Master Data Datasources get the data? I mean as all know, for TD we go the LBWE route where we activate the datasources etc... But where are these Master data datasources located I am not asking about RSA5...? What I want to know is, how the master data mechanism works in R/3 as we dont fillup the setup tables for these.It would be helpful if someone can explain the behavior of FI Datasources too as these datasources are not in LBWE either..

Master data is data that remains unchanged over a long period of time, so this information is directly loaded either from the View or Data Base table hence we don't have the concept of filling up the setup tales.

MM Master Data Datasources

I need to get storage bin master data into BI, but could not find any master data datasources in BI Content. I could find two infoobjects 1) 0STGE_BIN (in MM Area) and 2) 0STRGE_BIN (in SD Area). I think the one from MM area is appropriate, when I right click this ds and 'display dataflow' I can see data is flowing into this object from 0stge_bin_attr and 0stge_bin_text.
Please answer: a) if there is any master data datasources for this object? b) is there anything to activate from SPRO to get application specific bi content datasources?

There is no Master Data DataSources for these and you would therefore have to create a generic DataSource for i,t in RSO2, from the source TNNNX table(s).

Error in creating RSDS using transfer rules for master data datasources

when i am creating the transfermations(RSDS) using transfer rules for master data datasources while i want to migrate datasource.it is giving the error message saying that INITIAL ERROR OCCURED DURING GENERATION OF THE TRANSFERMATION.AND in the taskbar it is giving the message LOG IS BEING LOADED.
MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE SEE THE LOG? AND
PLEASE GIVE ME THE STEPS TO MIGRATE MASTER DATASOURCES.

Yoy have to load data to the cube.For that you need update rules.
Steps to load data to the cube
1.Replicate the datasource.
2.Assign Infosource
3.Create transfer rules
4.Maintain the update rules to the cube.
5.Right click on the datasource and schedule an infopackage for it.
Execute the Infopackage and pull the data to the cube.

How to create generic master data datasource which utilises ALE change pointers for extraction of master data.

Hi,
For any master data lets say, Material Master, for this you need to create a view
based on your requirement by selecting one or more tables into your view and
keeping all the required fields in the view as viewfields and go to RS02 create
generic data source, select the view option as source and put the view, save and
activate, at the same time set the delta pointer as to whether Numericpointer/date/timestamp..this way you can create a generic DS then transfer the stru. and at the BW side replicate the source system..and so on..

Problem wiith Custom Master Data Datasource

Hi
I have just set up a datasource for a master data infoobject. The data source is based on a transparent table. But on execution, the Infopackage is returning 0 records in BW with Green Traffic Light. The table has data in it. Extractor Checker also returns data in R/3.
I think I am doing something wrong. Do I need to do anything different to set up a master data datasource in R/3.

Hi Karen
Are you getting 0 records with green request or in yellow. what error message you are getting.
Sometimes the extraction is not complete (yellow traffic light) hence suggest you to check the job log in source system. Please check the job log in source system using tcode SM37-> enter request number with wildcards * at both ends like Request number (you can get request number from monitor of this request)

Anyway, the answer is NO. LBWE is the Logistics Customizing Cockpit and is used to customized Logistics Data Sources.
You Customize Master Data under tcode RSA6.

It looks lilke we need to use the FM like 'G_SET_LIST_SELECT' to get the Profit
Here ais note from the forums to get profit center group from table
From Table SETLEAF, Field SETCLASS = '0106'. Field SUBCLASS with controlling area. Profit center in Field VALFROM.
You will get Group name in Field SETNAME.

Its seems a simple a work out.
1.Go to RSO2 & choose the relevant option ie. whether you want to create Transactional DS, Master Data DS or Text DS.
2. Name it accordingly & then create.
3. Give description to it & then give table name FAGLFLEXA.
4. Save it & activate. If you need it to be delta enabled then click over Delta & you can choose accordingly.

Track Master Data Changes for Multiple countries

Hi experts,
I am in a Global HR Implementation & Rollout Project. We are creating Outbound Interfaces for 3 countries to export pay, time and general data to the 3rd party systems in those local countries. (Payroll is outsourced there).
As well as sending New Joiners data every month, we need to send Changers data also to all those 3rd partys every month before the Payroll runs.
I know 2 solution for this :
a). Using Change Documents - Tcode : SCDO ..etc
b). Using the report RPUAUD00.
c). Using RBDMIDOC.
Query :
1). Are these the only solutions ?
2). Whats the best solution for doing this for a Global Rollout project ? I need to track master data change for different countries for different set of Infotypes and fields. I need to send those Changers data as well as the New Joiners data through the Outbound Interface to all the local countries.
This year we are doing for 3 countires, next year for 9 more countries, etc. Whats the best solution keeping this in mind ?
Restrictions :
1). Our Client HRs dont want us to disturb the report RPUAUD00 as they use that regularlly and want the flexibility to configure the configs themselves.
2). If I must need to create and activate Change Documents for ALL individual fields, is there an easy way of doing this ?
3). I need to send this Changers data from SAP to Legacy system, so dont know if RBDMIDOC will be a good solution for this. Any comments ?
Just want the best possible and feasible solution for this issue.
I will be please to allot point to anyone who gives a good solution.
