Master data hierarchy synchronization for BPC NW 7.5

Hi all,
Here is my situation,
Trying to load master data and hierarchy for BW costcenter. Parent CostCenter hierarchy is 10001000.
CostCenter members are concatenated with Controlling area 1000.
I followed the master data and hierachy sycnhronization for 7.5 without any success.
I want to load only CsstCenter members without concatenatinon e.g. instead of 1000F1200, I want F1200.
Note thaI cannot use SUPPRESSCHARACTER 1000 as it suppresses other unintended values like 1000F1000
I need a method to truncate only first four characters

I am looking for suggestions on transformation and conversion files.
My current settings,
Transformation file:
NODENAME=IF(NODENAME(1:4)=STR(1000) then NODENAME(5:13);NODENAME)
HIER_NAME=HIER_NAME
PARENT=PARENT
ORDER=ORDER
Conversion file:
External: 10001000
Internal: PARENTH1
I get error: "Hierarchy nodes include dimension members that do not exist"

Master Data & Hierarchy loading into BPC from BW

HI all,
When i am getting master data and hierarchy from BW i need to replace a "-" to an "_".
These members are parents in BW.
I was able to do that using a conversion file for the master data. But when i run the hierarchy package it says parents dont exist because the nodes that were pulled before are not with a underscore and not a dash.
Ex: XXXX-XX needs to be replaced as XXXX_XX.
This member is a parent aswell. So i need to add conversion in the hierarchy load. I did that but its not taking it.
Conversion file for hierarchy load looks like this:
External Internal
XXXX-XX XXXX_XX
I am on BPC NW7.5 SP6.

I think conversion file string manipulation for BW infoobject hierarchy imports has some issues. I suggest reporting the problem to SAP support by creating a message on the Service Marketplace. Please be very clear in the message about your setup and how to recreate the problem and why you think it is a bug so that you don't receive back a reply about it being a consulting issue. Expect some time to work through this with support and eventually development, with the goal of getting a correction note released to fix the issue.
In the meantime, you might try to do the string manipulation in the transformation file *MAPPING section instead of the conversion file.
NODENAME=NODENAME(1:4)*STR(-)NODENAME(5:6)
or substitute NODENAME above for PARENT if that is appropriate level with the issue.

How to load master data hierarchy load from BI to BPC 7.5 NW

Hi,
I am testing master data hierarchy data upload from BI to BPC. However when i run master data hierarchy mport package, it's always displaying a warning message saying that no records are returned from "Z_PFT_CTR" which is my info object name.
My transformation is as below.

0COMP_CODE=COMP_CODE
0CO_AREA=CO_AREA
0LOGSYS=LOGSYS
0OBJ_CURR=OBJ_CURR
0PROFIT_CTR=PROFIT_CTR

Conversion is as below

Hierarchy i have mapped in conversion file from Source Inforobject 1000PCDUMMY-1 to BPC PARENTH1 Destination.

where you will get detail step-by-step procedure to load data.

Issue while loading master data from BI to BPC

Dear All,
I am loading master data from BI to BPC using the process chain /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER. I ran the package and package status was success. But few member ID's which are available in BI are not getting loaded in BPC. Nearly I have 1300 ID's in BI. Out of 1300,only 1270 ID's are loaded in BPC.
I haven't restrict any ID's using conversion file as well.
What could be the reason? How can I overcome this and load all member's ID in BPC?

Whats the write mode you have chosen for the CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER chain ?
Check if you have the Update mode ..

How to check loaded data Master Data Hierarchy?

Please let me know the way of checking available data which was loaded into the Master data hierarchy objects.
when i go into that particular infobject's hierarchy it is showing maintain hierarchy in its infoprovider execute function colum. How to see the data of it. coz i have to cross check whether the data has been loading/not.

For Example:
If its a 0Customer Info Object , then in the 0Customer hierarchy table data can be checked in the H - table.
That is in the 0Customer info object in the Hierarch Tab there will Hierarchy table /BIC/HCUSTOMER when you double click it you can see the data loaded to it.

If a master data is schedule for some changes...ie InfoObjects and hierarchies that are planned for structural change are selected by default.........If u go to RSA1 >> Administrator Workbench >> Tools >> Hierarchy/Attribute Changes from the menu...........If u click on Infoobject List or Hierachy List.........u will find that those infoobjects r already selected.....
If u want to run ACR for some infoobjects manually.............either u can do it in RSA1..........by only selecting those infoobjects for which u want to run the ACR..........or u can also use the prog : RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN.........
If that Particular infoobject is not there in the Infoobject or Hierarchy List in RSA1..............that means no structurak changes r required...........no need to run ACR..........

Hi Taj,
This is just similar to the way other master data, i.e. Attr and Texts are laoded. If you have the Text for MAT001 in the system, and you reload for the same material, the old value will be replaced with the new one (unless you are using time dependant texts and the date range is different).

Issue while loading master data from BI7 to BPC

Dear Experts,
I'm trying to load master data from BI7 to BPC NW using scenario 2 mentioned in the below document.

My requirement is need to load 0GL_ACCOUNT attribute and text data from BI7 system to BPC.
1.As mentioned in the How to...doc I had created a dimension called GL_ACCOUNT using BPC Admin client .
2.Able to see GL_ACCOUNT in RSA1, when I try to create a Transformation(step 17 , page-40) to load Attribute data I could not find source of transformation object as 0GL_ACCOUNT(which exist in BI7) . I could only able to see only dimensions available in BPC system when I click F4 in Name.
What could be the reason to not getting BI infoobject as source in BPC?

Dear Gurus,
My issue got resolved. So far I'm trying to pull data from R/3>BW>BPC. In the existing land scape BW and BPC are 2 different boxes. That is the reason I couldn't able to see BW objects into BPC (since 2 are different boxes). To resolve the issue I have created a new infoobect (RSD1) in BPC and data loading is from R/3>BPC infoobject(which is created through RSD1)>BPC Dimension.

Master Data is missing for Specified Matierials at cube level !!

Good Day..!!
I have been facing an issue in my project, Master Data is missing for a KF and values are not displayed in a report for the specified matierial Nos. Where as other matierial nos KF values are displaying.
Intially, i checked from Cube End and found the issue is in Cube level only.
For that in the data flow, i already checked whether the data has been loaded perfectly or not.
Tried to reran the DTP once again and checked the values for the KF in the report and unfortunately KF values are not displaying for specified matierials only.
Kindly advice how can i move further..

Check if SIDs are generated for the infoobject, if not try to do the change run attribute and then load the data to Cube.

Master data Reorganization Process for a single InfoObject

Hallo Experts,
mayby someone else had this problem bevor us?
SAP-BWProducion: Master data Reorganization Process for a single InfoObject (selfmade), other InfoObjects worked fine.
SAP BW 7.0 SP20 or 21
This element has daily attributes and the Q-Table has actual 180Mio entries. We startet reorganisation with 250Mio. entries.
Because of the daily loading, we cancel the batchprocess in the evening and started it again in the morning. This was fine for about 5 days. We elliminate 80Mio entries.
Our destination would be 80Mio entries left.
Whenever we run this feature now - in a process chain - no entries were deleted after 30 hours working, and there were no counting-stastics in SM50

     Insert
     Update
     Delete
The five days before, we saw Mio's of entries in this statistics.
We have checked the Q-table and there exist a number of records which have the same attribute values across several records and the date from - date to values of these records are in a row.
RSRV is fine and we checked note 1234411 Master data reorganization - Performance improvement.
There are no other notes helping us.
Please give us a solution-idea.

Hi,
When you are prompted for the infoobject in master data read you shoud give the main characteristic name, not the attribute name(attribute which is there in the data target). It will map the attribute automatically.

Importing Master Data Hierarchy from BW Infobject

I am importing from top level node(text hierarchy) of BW infobject Account. All the records are rejected with the following error. It says that Hierarchy nodes include dimension members that do not exist. The reason for this is that it is top level text hierarchy defined by users. I can import the base level one by one. Any sugestion please. How to docs are not very helpful.

Could you please check the Business Location Type screen customization from SPRO.
Industry Solution Oil & Gas ( Downstream) >> TSW >> Master data >> Business Location type.

BPC NW - Error Importing Master Data from BI to BPC

Hello,
I am importing MD from BW to BPC; openhub is working as required, and creating the corresponding file in the application server.
However, when I run the package from Data Manager, it is displaying the following error:
"An exception with the type CX_SY_STRUCT_COMP_NAME occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause.
No Component name specified for Component 6."
I have been looking other posts and OSS notes, and looks a problem related to DB; however in this case we do not have any dump.
Has anyone encountered the same issue?

Hi Begonia Boloqui,
After you extracted master data from BI using Openhub. The file is available in the application server.
Before you run the package from Data Manager.
Please examine the file data contents.
From the Action Pane, Click Manage Data and then clicking Preview data file
System allows you to preview the first 200 lines of a data file. Check whether data record is compatible with dimension definition and the mapping from external to internal members.
Looks like error is with COMP_NAME field?
