Master Data in Second Language through Web UI

We have enabled Unicode conversion and now want to maintain the BP Master Data in another language too.
In the GUI, we get the button "International version" which leads to the screen where the General data can be maintained in the second language.
However, I seek your guidance how to bring on the same / similar button in the Web UI for the same.

You suggestion works fine, thanks for the same. But I have the following issue:
By the suggested way it was created in GUI - International version - but when viewing in the Web UI the second language data was not visible and had to be maintained again.
And vice versa too, meaning that the second language data maintained in the Web UI wasn't visible in the GUI either.
What is the cause, any suggestions?

In the infocube you have the key. Then you have a text master data table that has as key (for the table) the key of the value (the one in the cube) and the language, and the text in that language as another field (short, med, long).

Hyperion IR : Getting out of memory error while fetching data for whole year through web client (wrokspace)

Hi,
While fetching data though IR wen client from workspace for a year(all 12 months) I am getting error as ("Out of Memory .Advice : Close other applications or windows and try again").
If I am trying same through IR studio it does not give any output and show me same repoting front page.
If i am selecting periods till 8 months it is giving the required data in both IR web client and IR studio.
Could you please suggest how can we resolve this issue.

Issue Cause :
Sometimes this is due to excessive data which brings the size of the BQY file up around one gigabyte uncompressed in size (for processing may take twice as actual RAM, plus the memory space space for the plugin, and the typical memory limit on a 32-bit system is 2 gigabytes).
Solution :
To avoid excessive BQY size exceeding memory availability:
Ensure that your computer has at least 2Gb of free RAM before he runs IR Studio.
Put a limit to the number of rows that can be pulled down: Right click on Request label of Query section and put a value in Return First xxx Rows (and check the check box).
Do not pull down more than 750 MB of data (remember it may be duplicated while processing).
Place limits or aggregations in Query section (as opposed to Result section) to limit data entering the BQY.

Master data in multiple languages

Hello All,
I have some masters data like vendor ,customer and gl master of 7 countries in multiple languages.
Now how to map or maintain all these masters in SAP so tht whenver user login using his regional language like chinese user or french user or spanish user he should be able to see all the data in the logon language only.
Pls let me knw how to proceed..

Master data and installed languages

Hi,
we would like to print on invoice and delivery note material descrption on greek language but we don't need to login into our ECC system in greek language.
Is indispensable to load/install into ECC system greek language to see and print material description in greek language?
PS: we are already in Unicode.

Unicode just means that your SAP can understand and work with the greek characters.
If it is really only the material description in GReek language, then you do not neccessarily have to have the Greek language installed. Then you only need the description maintained in the material master, and you take care in print program and form to get the greek material description printed, while the communication language is still different from Greek language.
If you want print the entire documents in Greek language, then you have to install the language, otherwise you cannot have the SAP terms in Greek. Of course you have to translate your own customizing (e.g. shipping conditions, payment terms) as well to Greek.

Syndicating Master Data in Multiple Languages

What are the different approaches of syndicating multilingual data? We have a repository that contains data in 6 different languages. How do we syndicate all these languages?
a) One separate file per language?
b) One file with all values for all languages?
c) Other?

Yes thats right , But if you see MATMAS structure , these two nodes <SPRAS_ISO> and <MAKTX> are situated under <E1MAKTM> segment. And this segment is repetable (You can set this property in "Destination Items" tab.
Now map the fields accordingly , you should be able to see a structure which will look like:

<MAKTX>English Description</MAKTX>
<SPRAS_ISO>EN</SPRAS_ISO>

I have created cost element groups entering in EN in the system, therefore they are updated in english. However if you enter in DE or FR etc... the descriptions of the nodes appear in blank. I simply want to copy the english version. So I am trying to find a way (thats not manual) to copy these descriptions so that they will appear in, in engish, in other languages.
Can anybody help me?

HI,
all text-information for CO-groups is stored in table SETHEADERT. If you look at this table for cost element groups SETCLASS is 0103, SETNAME is the group you've created, LANGU is the language key (EN,...) for the text that is given in DESCRIPTION.
One way is to create new table entries (se16n,... ask ABAPER if you don't know how to handle that) with different language keys and copy the EN texts to this new table entries and (if necessary) transport this entries to your SAP-systems. Another one is an update of the table done by an ABAP-program.
Depending on the number of text-entries you have to do decide whats best.
Generally I don't think that language entries in EN should appear when logging in with a different language XY, he text entries should be maintained in the language they belong to. IN my company system language is EN, every text is maintained for this language. If there is really a need for a log in in a different language (ZH, DE,...) locals have to take care about their local language texts...

Uploading HR Master Data through LSMW or BDC

I want to upload the HR Master Data to the system through LSMW or BDC, I am aware that for some infotypes like 000,1 &2 BDC is more suited, whereas for other infotypes LSMW is more convenient. I would like to understand how to start the activity. Should I start with infotype 0000 first and then 0001 and so on or can I take any infotype randomly and upload? What I mean is, is there any dependency that an infotype data can be loaded only after certain other related infotype data is loaded first? e.g. can load infotype 0006 first and then infotype 0001?
Also please guide me on for which infotype LSMW is preferred and for which infotype BDC is preferred? Can BDC be used within LSMW?

ERROR WHILE UPLOADING FUNCTIONAL LOCATION MASTER DATA THROUGH LSMW?????

Dear Experts,
I am uploading the master data of functional location through LSMW .I had completed all the steps except "Run Batch Input Session".
In that step it is showing as functional location already exists, after this error the remaining functional locations are updated in sap or it will stop total transaction by this error???
how can u upload the remaining in to sap by skipping already existed one????

From the below tab check mark the option " Language dependent texts" in your IO.
Master data texts are language dependent (flag)
If this indicator is set, then the texts of the text table are language dependent and the text table has the language as a key field. This is also the default setting.
If the indicator is not set then the text table does not have a language field and the texts are not language dependent.

first releases of SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search featured a preliminary connector to federate SAP MDM's search functionality. However, as no object level access authorization control could be implemented on the current MDM APIs, we have discontinued to deliver that prototype connector. We will be back with access-authorization-controlled connectivity in one of the future releases.

Hi Pradeep,
if its combination of charactertics & keyfigures, then you need to load master data in Info objects(Characterstics) and for key figures you can load directly in the layout, once you save it , these values get saved back in Cube.

Error in sending HR Master data to CRM - PFAL error

I am sending HR master data to CRM system through PFAL transation. I am using HRMD_ABA message type to send the data.
While executing i am getting the error like this " Internal error: Program read table idoc_structure,
command data_select_for_block, argument Z1P0002 " . I have a custom segment ZIp0002 for ci_p0002 . Can you please suggest any solution to solve this.

An extension of an infotype should be created in segment Z1Pxxxx where all fields of E1Pxxxx and the additional fields should be inserted. The entry in T777D should have Z1Pxxxx for field Idoc segment as described in note 105148.
Please, check also note 165699.
As of Release 4.6: In the customer enhancement RHALE001, fill the function exit EXIT_SAPLRHA0_004 with the line
F_idoc_control-cimtyp = 'ZRMD_AXX'.
Where ZRMD_AXX is the enhancement/extension you created.
