Master Data Language problem

After running our InfoPackage to extract master data text (such as 0item_categ text) using the default settings for a full extraction. We notice that the double byte characters are displayed as # symbols. We verified the R/3 and our BW/BI systems do have the correct language and Unicode support installed. Also our clients have the correct settings to display the Asian character sets. We checked the rsa3 on the R/3 side and see the correct characters but not on the BW/BI side. One thing we noticed is that any of the master data that is getting loaded to a PSA first works fine (such as 0matl_group) - it displays the correct characters but if the infoObject is a direct update (the ALE inbox and infoObject checked) it displays the # symbol just for the Asian character sets all other languages are displaying correctly - (there are 11 languages setup).
Any help in understanding or troubleshooting this would be appreciated

Go to transaction RZ10. Select the instance profile.
Click on languages.
There check if JA is installed (there would be a check against JA if its installed)

Hello ALl,
I am also facing the same problem(activation of master data) but with 0COSTCENTER. I have checked records in CSKS table in R/3 system. I could not see any M version records lying there.I have done fresh reload and ran successfully attribute change run also.
this is very urgent,please help me ASAP.

Vendor Master Data LSMW problem

Hi,
I have vendor master data in XLS file. Created project in LSMW with standard batch input object 004 (Vendor Master Data), Method (0001 standard) and Program name RFBIKR00.
Other constant data:
BLF00-TCODE = 'XK01'
BLF00-LIFNR = 'FOX1220' ... 'FOX1221' etc
BLF00-BUKRS = '3800'
BLF00-EKORG = '2000'
BLF00-KTOKK = "LIEF'
other all data like (Bank detail, purchasing data, accounting data, dunning data) are coming from that single XLS file.
Problem while creating Batch Input Session: "Vendor FOX1221: data retention at plant level not allowed"
Why??? Reading and converting data is fine.. but still problem terminates the BDC.
Please help me out

Master data exraction problem

Hi,
I am facing some problem in master data uploading into BW. The details as follows. I am trying for 0Customer & 0Materials. I have checked system connection R/3 to BW is ok

Requests (Messages) everything is ok.
Messages : Missing Messages
Transfer IDoc and TRFC : Error Occured
Application documents Not posted

Master data access problem

Hi All
I have a master data object ..it is a z object where it has customer as the key and the attributes are salesoffice, sales dist and sales group.
I am using this master data object in one of my req where in the transaction data i get only the customer and from there i am pulling the sales office,sales dist and sales group from this master data object using the option READ MASTER DATA at the transformation level in the Rule details.
The problem is that i am able to get the data for all the customer's except 5 customers but when i get in to the master data and check the sales off, sales dist and region is maintained there, but still it is not picking only for those 5 customers and for rest of the customers it is working fine..
so i thought i should be some master data problem and i deleted that master data using delete master data option with out sid's and reloaded it again and after that i reloaded the transaction data back..but still it is having the same problem but at the object level the data is there...
Can any one suggest me as to wat would the problem can be?

May i suggest an alternate solution?
Instead of reading values into your infoprovider using Read master data, you can enable the attributes as navigational attributes and include them in your infoprovider. You will be able to see them in reporting and also use filters or variables on the attributes too.
You can also check if the attribute change run for the loaded master data is done before trying to run the report.

Master data 0PLANT_ATTR problem

Hi BW Experts,
   I have one problem with master data 0PLANT_ATTR.
   This is running daily in the process chain.
   But iam facing problem with 0PLANT_ATTR. It gives an error daily. We could not solve this problem till now.
The error message is:
Record 9 :Plant 1008 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
Record 14 :Plant 1013 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
Record 17 :Plant 1016 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
Record 18 :Plant 1017 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
Record 19 :Plant 1018 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
But previous, the data was coming fine. From 15 days onwards it gives an error.
For all plants we are not maintaining sales organization. How it is possible?
Pls can anyone tell me the process .

Master data loading problem

Dear masters
I have loaded the master data (0material_attr) to PSA. When I loaded the data from PSA to Info object (0material), some data is loaded successfully and some data is not loaded which all are in Error DTP (all data package contain 101 records). I am getting below error in details tab
Too many error records - update terminated
Message no. RSM2706
Diagnosis
More than 100 records have been flagged as incorrect. There is probably a system error.
System Response
For performance reasons, the system terminates the update and additional checks.
Procedure
The errors that have occurred so far can be displayed in the PSA. Analyze and correct the errors, and restart the update.
If you do not want the update process to terminate as soon as the system registers 100 errors, you can change the number of errors that you want the system to tolerate. You do this in the scheduler on the Update Parameters tabstrip under Error Handling.
I am getting below errors only in Error DTP for all records (I am very sure there is no duplicate records in PSA and as well Error DTP). I have ticked checkbox also Handle duplicate records in DTP.
Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist
[Each data package (20 Data Package) contain exdactly 101 records and all records telling same above message only].
Could you please help me to resolve this issue

'10000 '. I went to PSA and manually corrected.

Master Data Deletion problem

i am trying to delete master data for 0STRGE_BIN,ZSUTYPE..i am getting this message:Some master data cannot be deleted.if i say ok then ok this message is coming.The system is unable to delete all of the specified master data,because some of it is still in use. (See log:Object RSDMD, sub-object MD_DEL ). may i know the reason.

Hi, In your case your Master data or the master data attributes (if present) are getting used in Some info Cube (or data target).
What you can do, go to the object, then click on the "where used". This will give you the detail of the targets where your Object is still used.
Either remove this Object from The cube or just delete the data of the cube you will be able to delete the complete master data once again.
Note: Please load the master data first and then load the cubes(Transactional laods).

GL Master data : Move GL from one Client to another Client

have created an one Transport Request for creation of Financial Organization structure in Customizing SAP Client 200 and then i have Manually imported that TR in another SAP Client Master data Client System 050 for GL Master data Language Translation FSP0 or FST2. so, in client 050 i have updated translation for all the GL Accounts roughly 5000 GL Accounts. After that, all GL Accoounts i have sent to Client 200 from Client 050 by using Transaction code - BD18, i have imported all the GL Account along with its Translation in another client of SAP System client 200 in order to move all the Changes along with in the same TR.
but when i am releasing the TR Transport Request from Cusomizing client 200 to unit testing client 300 , changes related to translaton of GL account has not been moved. Apart from that other changes related to Financial Structure have been moved along with Transport Request
how can i club these Translation related chnages in this same TR so that i need not to run LSMW in all clients and apply changes in each Clients seperately.

When you save the data relating to the diffrent language not saves in the request. First check whether that particular request is having the data in different language.

If the texts are present in Client 000 but are missing in an Client different from 000 there are different tools to bring the texts from client 000 into the Client other than 000.
- RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_UNI, described in notes 43853 and 211226

- (only valid up to SAP_BASIS 6.10: RSREFILL, described in note 48047)
Please keep in mind:
Data in clients other than 000 are treated as customer data. Existing texts will not be overwritten there. (see Note 2857)

i have to create master data in IDES for my company code.
Before creating master data in SAP easy access, what are the configuration i have to do for master data in SPRO??
Like material , vendor and inforecord and source list .
For above master creation , what has to be done in SPRO??

These master data are already configured with standard settings and number ranges. If you require different number ranges coming for master datas, then you need to configure the number ranges and then assign them to the material type etc. or if you require customizing material type etc you need to configure that as well.
Otherwise just start creating the master data, no problem.

Problems with language dependent master data

Hi,
I created a InfoObject with language dependent master data and I am trying to upload data from a flat file.
My flat file has a 2 digit language code (EN,DE,FR,JP,ES) and when uploading the data it seems that SAP BW is only using the first digit which leads to the situation that EN and ES get treated as duplicate records.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
ES is the Language for spanish..But the Flat file should have to represent 'S' for Spanish.
Check in Table T002 for the symbols which represent Languages and that to be used in flat file.

Problem in loading the Text master data

Hi,
I have installed one datasource for Text from business content.
On checking the records in RSA3, it has 124 recs.
But while loading data in BW its fetching only 66 recs.
This is the problem with the language key.
Its not loading the data for "EL" . Its only loading for EN
Any idea how to load all the text master data.

I checked in table, EL is maintained(greek language) , But then why extractor is not fetching data for this language ? Its populating fine for EN
I checked Info package there is no selection/restriction there

Japense language getting displayed in master data not in query

Hi all,
I am trying to load the asset master from ecc and bw which both are unicode. But then the master data gets loaded perfectly with japanese in the master with
   asset   language   description
1. 300001   en           加硫
2. 300002   ja           加硫
i can see some data is loaded with en and some with ja both are loaded in master data perfectly.
but then in the query if i want to display 30002 it is not getting displayed
can anyone help me on this

What language you are selecting while logging into the query designer?
Select the language as JA and then check if you can get the required result.

Problem with Master Data Load

Dear Experts,
If somebody can help me by the following case, please give me some solution. Iu2019m working in a project BI 7.0 were needed to delete master data for an InfoObject material. The way that I took for this was through tcode u201CS14u201D. After that, I have tried to load again the master data, but the process was broken and the load done to half data.
This it is the error:
Second attempt to write record 'YY99993' to /BIC/PYYYY00006 failed
Message no. RSDMD218
Diagnosis
During the master data update, the master data tables are read to determine which records of the data package that was passed have to be inserted, updated, or modified. Some records are inserted in the master data table by a concurrently running request between reading the tables at the start of package processing and the actual record insertion at the end of package processing.
The master data update tries to overwrite the records inserted by the concurrently running process, but the database record modification returns an unexpected error.
Procedure
u2022     Check if the values of the master data record with the key specified in this message are updated correctly.
u2022     Run the RSRV master data test "Time Overlaps of Load Requests" and enter the current request to analyze which requests are running concurrently and may have affected the master data update process.
u2022     Re-schedule the master data load process to avoid such situations in future.
u2022     Read SAP note 668466 to get more information about master data update scheduling.
Other hand, the SID table in the master data product is empty.

Thank for your help, but I was applied your suggesting. I sent to OSS with the following details:
We are on BI 7.0 (system ID DXX)
While loading Master Data for infoobject XXXX00001 (main characteristic in our system u2013 like material) we are facing the following error:
Yellow warning u201CSecond attempt to write record u20182.347.263u2019 to BIC/ XXXX00001 was successfulu201D
We are loading the Master data from data source ZD_BW_XXXXXXX (from APO system) through the DTP ZD_BW_XXXXX / XXX130 -> XXXX00001
The Master Data tables (S, P, X) are not updated properly.
The following reparing actions have been taken so far:
1.     Delete all related transactional and master data, by checking all relation (tcode SLG1 à RSDMD, MD_DEL)
2.     Follow instructions from OSS 632931 (tcode RSRV)
3.     Run report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL from tcode SE38 (using both check and repair options).
After deleting all data, the previous tests were ok, but once we load new master data, the same problem appears again, and the report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL gives the following error.
u201CCharacteristic XXXX00001: error fund during this test.u201D
The RSRV check for u201CCompare sizes of P and X and/or Q and Y tables for characteristic XXXX00001u201D is shown below:
Characteristic XXXX00001: Table /BIC/ PXXXX00001, /BIC/ XXXXX00001 are not consistent 351.196 derivation.
It seems that our problem is described in OSS 1143433 (SP13), even if we already are in SP16.
Could somebody please help us, and let us know how to solve the problem?

Problem with master data lookup in transformations

Hi,
We're experiencing a strange problem in the transformations for an Error Reporting scenario.
We've the SAP standard customer (0CUSTOMER) in DSO 2 which derives it's value from the navigational attribute of YCUSTNR (0CUSTOMER is the navigational attribute of YCUSTNR) in DSO1. But the problem here is that even when there is no entry for YCUSTNR, the 0CUSTOMER in DSO 2 returns a value.
Referential Integrity check is not employed for this scenario. Is it because of this reason that lack of master data is returning some value held in memory. I'm not sure whether it's an issue with the cache. Is there any work around for solving this problem other than the standard master data look up?
Any help in this issue would be appreciated and rewarded.
