Master data loads for Attributes and texts failing

Hello
Master data loads for Attributs and texts are failing. The error is
1. Lock Not set for Loading master data attributes
2.Table /BI0/YAccount does not exists (this error is for 0Account master data - attribute load)
3.Error 1 in the update.
We had faced this error few days ago and rebooting the server resolved the error but it has recurred after 4 days.
RS12 and SM12 do not show any locks. Activating the info object has also not resolved the error.
Any insight is appreciated.

Thanx for responding.
U r right, our clint is upgrading from 4.6 to ECC.
So as per the clients requirements, we are maintaining all the configs for Services in CRM.
Services Data which was in 4.6 is being pulled put on flat files which needs to be loaded in CRM. So middleware would not be able to do this.
What I am looking os some standard upload program.
LSMW recording does not work.
This I-Doc "CRMXIF_COND_REC_SLIM_SAVE_M", i am able to load a single record. But I am not able to find , how to make this function for multiple entries.
IN standard we for loading master data thru I-docs, we map the values to the standard fields which are available in that I-Doc.
But in this particular i-doc, there is a common field for which I need to define the field name and a field value..
Till now, I am only able to define just one field name and a field value.
I want this to word for mutliple entries.

Master data load for 0COSTCENTER (Cost Center) failing

Hi Experts
I have a master data load for 0COSTCENTER (Cost Center). The Load has started failing from a couple of days at DTP.
(R) Filter Out New Records with the Same Key
(G) Starting Processing...
(R) Dump: ABAP/4 processor: DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
I am unable to understand the reason for this failure. I tried loading the data 1 costcenter at a time it is still failing so i doubt if its a internal table storage issue as suggested by the dump.
Could you help me on this one please.

I have got the issue resolved
The Error Stack for the DTP had accumulated so many entries that it was unable to process further.
So i deleted the entries in Error Stack usin SE14. Then again executed my DTP.
Everything is fine now thanks for your help.

Master Data Load for New Attribute

Hi Users,
We had to implement a separate load flow for a new field coming from R3. This field was to be added to existing master data object.
I added a new Display attribute for an existing 0GL_ACCOUNT master data object.
This new attribute along with some other existing fields is getting data from another master data object with an infosource in between because two transformations cannot be created for same source and target.
When i load the data i dont see data being populated for this new field. I did ACR, checked the keys e.t.c.
Source object has data but after executing DTP no data comes to this attribute. No routines or anything.

The situation is:
Field x from source maps to
1. field y ( which was existing field ) and also maps to
2. field z which is the new attribute.
field y has to get updated for company codes 10 for example.
field z for company codes 30.
now if i use same flow and map field x to both y and z then there is overwriting happening if 10 does not have value for x and 20 has then its not good.
So if i use a separate flow with infosource then i will map only x to z so after loads which means for 10 code if no value went in first dtp to y then if code 30 has value for x then z will only be updated and y remains empty....
Master Data Load for New Attribute

Deleted and adjusted the Master data table, sid table and text table

Deleted and adjusted the master data table, sid table and text table of an zinfoobject after removing and adding attributes to that zinfoobject and was trying to activate it and system was giving me messages that cannot activate infoobject something like this.
So, i deleted and adjusted the master data table, sid table and text table. Since then getting messages right after executing the query because in that query that infoobject is getting used.
So the messages i am getting is:
SID 9 for characteristic Zinfoobject could not be converted CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA->_SIDVAL_DIRECT_READ2
System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form MEGA_SORT_M_02-02- (see long text)
Please help me in fixing this whole thing.

SAP BW,
After adjusting your Master Data IOBJ and deleting and reloading the data - run a change run to adjust the references to the SIDs and then see if your query runs - run program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN from se38 and select your IOBJ in the next screen..

Master data Load for Substance Creation : Using BAPI in LSMW ?

Hi ,
Had any one did a Master data load for creating a Substance in SAP RM. If so please let me know the best possible option. I am beeing trying to figure out the option to load Substances and its IDENTIFIER / MATERIAL ASSINGMNET from my legacy system. But I am not geeting a clue to use LSMW. ( Direct or BatchInput )
I am not seeing any BAPI for uploading it through the LSMW except the one BUS1077 ( method SAVEREPMUL ) and I guess this is used along with IDOC.
Appreciate your help and suggestion.

I will try this option what you have suggested. Even I told by business team to look for CG33. But they were been telling me some format issue. Probably they would meant the same what you have said. But they were not aware of work around for this. your information is intresting.
The other option given to me was to create a recording for each and every Tab like Substance header / Identifier / Material assignment etc. seperately. Technically I don't feel good to create in that way. Do you think that is alernate approach.?

Error while loading Masterdat attributes and text in sap BI 7.0

I am new to sap BI, in this my first task and it is loading master data attributes and text into datatargets,I did it in SAP BW 3.5,
It is ok
But i got error in BI 7.0
The error is while loading master data attributes and text in master data targest(using insert charcterstic as a infoprovider)every thing is OK up to infopackage creation step,
Andthe data loaded properly into PSA,
But not into Data targets(i mean here data is not load into datatargets)
After i create infopackage
I created DTP wit settings
Extraction Mode:full
Error handlig: Valid records update,no Reporting(request red)
and i click on activate and on Execute push button
error occurred when i click on "Adminstrative data targets " icon
And the error shows in DTP REQUEST 108 Screen
and it is
**RedColour: updating attributes for infoobject smid_ml1:8->0 Data Records**
**Redcolour: end of master data update**
**Redcolour Message for datarecords saved request is red acc to configuration**
Plese guys let me know this error and give your view

I click on errorstack push button in DTP error screen But it is not but psa error stack right?
I c'nt get u could plese clear it?
And i also tried on error handling :valid records ...green But no use same error occur

Using one datasource for attributes and text?

I am currently loading master data from a flat file using a data source. The flat file contains master data attributes as well as master data text. Is there a disadvantage of using just one datasource (for attributes) to load attributes AND text or is it better to create two data sources, one for attributes and one specifically for text?
So far, the one datasource only approach seems to work, but I am trying to understand the impact if I use an attribute data source to load text. Will this cause any problems or hurt performance?

Hi Dennis,
it depends on your requirements... I've never came across any problems loading hierarchy, text and attribute master data with a single data source. If one source file is containing all information this should be the fastest way to load master data, using several data sources means processing one input file several times.
I would prefer modeling different data sources for master data because it is easier to adapt your solution if input format changes. Also system is easier to understand (e.g. process chains) / handle if several persons are involved... but from a technical view there should be no disadvantages.

just check the values for attributes and then if its case of spl char s just go 4
option as Ravi Suggested.
Mean while if it not possible then just go to the in fo pak and clcik on error
handling give 1000 in the box and say continue and start the load ..

Regarding master data loading for different source systems

Hi Friends,
I have an issue regarding master data loading.
we have two source systems one is 4.6c and another is ecc 6.0.
First i am loading the master data from 4.6c to bi7.0.
Now this 4.6c is upgraded to ecc6.0.
*In 4.6c and ecc6.0c master data is changing.
After some time there is no 4.6c, only ecc 6.0 is there.
Now if i load master data from ecc6.0 to bi7.0 what will happen.
Is it possible ?

Yes, its possible. You can load data from ECC.
Data will not change, may be you may get more fields in datasource at r/3 side, but BW/BI side no change in mappings structures are same. So data also same.
You need to take care of Delta's before and after upgrade.

Im trying to load the attributes for master data characteristics .
I created the InfoSource and when im trying to activate it .
Then it gives the following error like below

Procedure
If the problem occurred during the data load or transport, activate the transfer rule.
If the problem persists, search in the SAP note system under 'RSAR 245'
So please tell the what is the error and how to resolve this issue.
And pls give the error 'RSAR 245' message from SAP note system.

a) 'Obsolete' communication structure:
            Due to an optimization algorithm, pressing the 'Generating button' does not have any affect on the communication structure. Therefore, use the following workaround:
Select 'Communication structure' -> 'Change'.
Add any InfoObject (for example, '0MATERIAL') to the communication structure -> 'ENTER'.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Selet the InfoObject you inserted and delete it.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Communication structure -> 'Generate'.
a) Message: <table name> is already declared. Check whether the local part of your routines contains TABLE statements. TABLE statements always have global validity and should therefore be in the global part of the routine.
b) If the error occurs when data is being loaded, the transfer rule should be generated using RSA1.
In many cases, generating transfer rules using RSA1 results in a detailed error message.
2. Error code:
           Program to be generated is locked by parallel process.
This error can sporadically occur if parallel processes simultaneously try to generate the same program.
Unfortunately, you cannot completely prevent the error from occurring since these types of lock situations can still crop up during data loading in parallel processes. We are currently working on improving system stability relating to lock situations during the load task.
Reloading usually works without any problems.

0distr_chan initial master data load, text missing

Hey: I am trying to do an initial master data load for 0distr_chan on text. The load is not successful. In the monitor detailed error message, it has red alert for transfer rules missing message, update missing message.
0distr_chan attibute is OK.
I am also having problems when loading 0salesorg on text. It fails also.
Can anyone give me a clue?

Hi, thank you for your answer. I am new to this system. Please give me more guidance.
To check on datasource on R3, I use transaction RSA6, underneath the SD-IO master data, I found 0DISTR_CHAN_TEXT with green text icon on the right. Is this a valid way to verify that datasource for 0DISTR_CHAN_TEXT has been activated OK on R3? I am not sure if there is any way for me to check if any transfer rules for the datasource has been activated OK on R3.

Master Data load via DTP (Updating attribute section taking long time)

Hi all,
Iam loading to a Z infoobject. Its a master data load for attributes.Surprisingly, i could find that PSA pulls records very fastly( 2 minutes) but the DTP which updates the infoobject takes a lot of time. It runs into hours.
When observed the DTP execution monitor, which shows the breakup of time between extraction,filter,transformation,updation of attributes
i could observe that the last step "updation of attributes for infoobject" is taking lots of time.
The masterdata infoobject has got also two infoobjects compounded.
In transformation ,even they are mapped.
No of parallel processes for the DTP was set to 3 in our system.
Job Class being "C".
Can anyone think of what could be the reason.

Hi,
Check the T code ST22 for any short dump while loading this master data. There must be some short dump occured.
There is also a chance that you are trying to load some invalid data (like ! character as a first character in the field) into the master.

SRPID is key field.(sales representative id)

text:- SRPID,LANG,SHTXT,MDTXT,LGTXT.

Thank you for your guidence. I have changed the order in flat file and got the results successfully. But when iam viewing the Master data text the S10 in coming in 2nd position in maintain master data-list screen i mean :-

Master Data loading got failed: error "Update mode R is not supported by th

Hello Experts,
I use to load master data for 0Customer_Attr though daily process chain, it was running successfully.
For last 2 days master data loading for 0Customer_Attr got failed and it gives following error message:
"Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API"
Can anyone tell me what is that error for? how to resolve this issue?

Update mode R error will come in the below case
You are running a delta (for master data) which afils due to some error. to resolve that error, you make the load red and try to repeat the load.
This time the load will fail with update mode R.
As repeat delta is not supported.
So, now, the only thing you can do is to reinit the delta(as told in above posts) and then you can proceed. The earlier problem has nothing to do with update mode R.
example your fiorst delta failed with replication issue.
only replicating and repeaing will not solve the update mode R.
you will have to do both replication of the data source and re-int for the update mode R.
One more thing I would like to add is.
If the the delat which failed with error the first time(not update mode R), then
you have to do init with data transfer
if it failed without picking any records,
then do init without data transfer.
