Master data related fields for DP, SNP and PPDS needed in Material Master

Hi Gurus,
Can any one please suggest or guide me what are the fields need to be done in Material master in ECC for SAP APO DP, SNP (heuristic with capacity leveling)& PPDS(Heuritic with optimizer).
Please it will be really great help.

Hi Kumar,
For DP, many of the fields under MRP3, forecasting tab
views will be utilised more in material master of R/3.
For SNP, MRP 1, 2,4 and basic data views will be mostly
useful
For PPDS, Fields under Bom, routing, receipe, production
versions will be used along with few fields in material
master

Master Data is missing for Specified Matierials at cube level !!

Hello Experts,
Good Day..!!
I have been facing an issue in my project, Master Data is missing for a KF and values are not displayed in a report for the specified matierial Nos. Where as other matierial nos KF values are displaying.
Intially, i checked from Cube End and found the issue is in Cube level only.
For that in the data flow, i already checked whether the data has been loaded perfectly or not.
Tried to reran the DTP once again and checked the values for the KF in the report and unfortunately KF values are not displaying for specified matierials only.
Kindly advice how can i move further..

Hi,
Check if SIDs are generated for the infoobject, if not try to do the change run attribute and then load the data to Cube.

Hi,
dates will be stores in the table 'SCAPPTSEG'.
I double checked it. This table stores all the date types of one order transactions...
The relationship is as follows..
CRMD_ORDERADM_H- guid = crmd_link-guid_hi
crmd_link-guid_set = SCAPPTSEG-APPL_GUID.

    Hi,
you should try with FM: CRM_DATES_READ_SINGLE_OB or CRM_DATES_READ_DB.
There is something in table SCAPPT and SCGENAPPT.

I can tell you where the pricing records are saved, replicated from ECC.
The data from ECC table Axxx (e.g. A304) is replicated to CRM table
CNCCRMPRSAPxxx (e.g. CNCCRMPRSAP304).
Here you can find fields TIMESTAMP_TO and TIMESTAMP_FROM.
About the dates: what Sreekantha Gorla stated, about table 'SCAPPTSEG' is correct.
What might help is to execute program "CRM_ORDER_READ". Here you can find
the relevant entries also.

I was told that the material master data that I am creating needs to be related with an asset hierarchy, any one know where Do I relate material master data with the asset hierarchy?

Hi,
Though you Material grade is time dependent and sequentially changing.
You can create 4 different DTP with Grade selection (only 1 Transformation).
For example, 1 DTP with filter Grade A, another DTP with grade B, so on.
and executive all 4 dtp sequentially and activate master data after every DTP run.

This issue regarding how to find the date type fields in the row and validate those date fields.If its not a valid date ,i have to assign initial value to that.

There are no separate datasource for 0sold to, 0ship to and 0bill to parties.
They are referrenced to 0CUSTOMER in BW. and the datasources for 0customer are 0CUSTOMER_ATTR and 0CUSTOMER_TEXT.

Master data Reorganization Process for a single InfoObject

Hallo Experts,
mayby someone else had this problem bevor us?
SAP-BWProducion: Master data Reorganization Process for a single InfoObject (selfmade), other InfoObjects worked fine.
SAP BW 7.0 SP20 or 21
This element has daily attributes and the Q-Table has actual 180Mio entries. We startet reorganisation with 250Mio. entries.
Because of the daily loading, we cancel the batchprocess in the evening and started it again in the morning. This was fine for about 5 days. We elliminate 80Mio entries.
Our destination would be 80Mio entries left.
Whenever we run this feature now - in a process chain - no entries were deleted after 30 hours working, and there were no counting-stastics in SM50
     Sequentielles Lesen
     Insert
     Update
     Delete
The five days before, we saw Mio's of entries in this statistics.
We have checked the Q-table and there exist a number of records which have the same attribute values across several records and the date from - date to values of these records are in a row.
RSRV is fine and we checked note 1234411 Master data reorganization - Performance improvement.
There are no other notes helping us.
Please give us a solution-idea.

If a master data is schedule for some changes...ie InfoObjects and hierarchies that are planned for structural change are selected by default.........If u go to RSA1 >> Administrator Workbench >> Tools >> Hierarchy/Attribute Changes from the menu...........If u click on Infoobject List or Hierachy List.........u will find that those infoobjects r already selected.....
If u want to run ACR for some infoobjects manually.............either u can do it in RSA1..........by only selecting those infoobjects for which u want to run the ACR..........or u can also use the prog : RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN.........
If that Particular infoobject is not there in the Infoobject or Hierarchy List in RSA1..............that means no structurak changes r required...........no need to run ACR..........

Hi,
When you are prompted for the infoobject in master data read you shoud give the main characteristic name, not the attribute name(attribute which is there in the data target). It will map the attribute automatically.

I have master data for example partner. i load master data monthly. parnter will change.

Do I store all the master data in the infoobject or is there a possibility to use master data from dso if the date is not actual?
we get lots of master data if we create that like this. i think in 2 years it gets really slow...

Please give some details of information you are storing in master data.

Hi Prasad,
SNP basically does rough cut capacity planning on a constrained or unconstraint situation whereas PPDS does time continous finite capacity based on constraint or unconstaint situation.
SNP & PPDS works on horizons. There are scenarios were SNP horizon can overlap with PPDS horizon.
SNP uses SNP PPM as master data whereas PPDS PPM as master data. The output are SNP orders and PPDS orders.
The minimum day for SNP planning is 1 day whereas PPDS can go upto even 1 sec(ie microscopic planning)
Starting from a demand plan, Supply Network Planning determines a permissible short- to medium-term plan for fulfilling the estimated sales volumes. This plan covers both the quantities that must be transported between two locations (for example, distribution center to customer or production plant to distribution center), and the quantities to be produced and procured. When making a recommendation, Supply Network Planning compares all logistical activities to the available capacity
We use the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) component
a) To create procurement proposals for in-house production or external procurement to cover product requirements
b) To optimize and plan the resource schedule and the order dates/times in detail

As explained by Jurgen, There is no term like item level and header level as such in respect to material master.
But just for convenience per say, you may call like below.
MARA :- Header level --( Client level data)
MARC,MARD,MBEW,MARM,MVKE :- Item level -- ( Organizational element level data).
