Master Recipe operation / phase "Valid to date"

I am developing a production master data report, where Master Recipe operation / phase "Valid to date" (PLPOD-DATUB) is required. I have searched in structure PLPOD and table PLPO, but not able to find this date. Please help me in this regard.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jack

Hi,
The "valid-to-date" is mainly a concept, that's why you don't find the field in PLPO; it exists in the structure PLPOD.
The "concept" gets a value, I think only when we delete a phase with reference to a change number. The change master's  (table AENR) valid-from-date becomes the deleted line's vali-to-date.
So, what you need to do is link PLPO and AENR via the change number, and when deletion indicator in PLPO is, I guess, "1", read the valid-from-date in AENR as your valid-to-date (logically) in PLPO.
Hope that this helps a bit.

Mario

  • Master recipes operations not getting transfered in SNP PDS to APO from R3

    Hello APO Gurus,
I am trying to transfer SNP PDS for master receipes from R3 to APO.
    Issue description::
The operation is not getting transfered correctly , some system default operation "010 generated Operation (from Planned Delive)" is getting generated in APO, also activity and resource capacity is not getting transfered. This situation exist for one plant 1000, for other plant 1100 the SNP PDS created correctly.
    i have following points:
    1. Is there some customizing setting missing on R3 or APO side  for plant 1000 tbefore SNP PDS transfer
    2. What need to be checked on master recipes data in R3,
i have checked on below points
    1. FG Materials and all the Component Material to be in APO in a Active Integration Model.
    2. BOM & Routing and Production Version setup correctly.
    3. The Routing Operations have to Relevant to 'SCHEDULING'.
    4. Try deleting the existing Integration model for materials & re-create new IM & activate.
Please help me to send SNP PDS correctly to APO to take heuristic run.

    Hi,
It is good that you have given your already checked points.
Please check the following things also and try to retransfer the PDS.
    1. Check your resource in ECC, whether you have maintained the Process formula.
    2. Check you have maintained some values in Master Recipe for processing time
    3. Check whether the resource has been transferred for your plant 1000 to APO and an active IM exists.
    4. Also check the type of the resource transferred to APO. It should be a single-mixed/ multi-mixed or bucket resource.
Hope this will help you to solve the issue.

  • Master Recipe - Operation Scrap

    Hello,
We use master recipes. We are trying to maintain scrap% value for an operation/phase, and I don't this field on the screens.
Any thoughts? Is there a way to maintain scrap at operation level if we use Recipe?
I tried OP5D and I see that Scrap field is already listed as an Input field.

    Hello
There is no operation scrap for master recipe and the phase scrap cannot be directly entered into the recipe like it is in the routings.
You can use material quantity calculation to calculate any loss during the phases.

  • Earliest/Latest start - Earliest/Latest finish in master recipe scheduling

    Hi everybody,
I'm struggling here to understand why only phases 0061 and 0071 have different earliest and latest starts and finishes.
This is a very simple example with all the relevant phases being set for a 1 hr duration.
    This is a sequencial process (0011 - 0021 - 0031 - 0051 - 0061 - 0071 - 0081), except phases 0041 and 0091, which are not relevant for the analysis.
These are the relations of phase 0061:
And these are the relations of phase 0071:
Any idea about what else could I check?
    Regards
    Fernando

    Hi Caetano.
    This example uses backward scheduling.
What I don't understand is the different earliest and latest start time for phase 0071 and 0061.
My screenshot shows a example of a master recipe scheduling having as finish date 28/03. So, following a backward scheduling way:
phase 0091: not relevant (duration = zero)
    phase 0081: duration = 1 hour. Finish = 24:00:00 / Start = 23:00:00 (for both earliest and latest dates)
    phase 0071: duration = 1 hour. But then, latest finish = 23:00:00 and earliest finish = 22:00:00 ...
back to phase 0051 you can see that this doesn't happen.
Basically what I don't get is:
If the operations have a duration of 1 hour each, why latest start of phase 0061 is 21:00:00 and the latest finish of phase 0050 is 20:00:00 and not 21:00:00 ?

    kindly help

    Hi ,
maintain the set up time , machine time & tear down time in resource & inhouse time in Mate . master . Assign the same resorce in the master recipe. & check the plant parameter.

  • Read the valid Operation/Activity Master Recipe data using an FM

    Dear all,
Can anyone guide me to a function module, which could read the relevant master recipe data taking the validity date into consideration. i.e. the function module should return the correct valid data based on the Key Date.
Is there such a function module, and could anyone give an example of using this.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Dabre

    Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the response, but does not seem like this FM would give me the required information, since this seems to be taking the process order number etc as the importing parameters.
I would need to pass something like the recipe type, recipe group and maybe the recipe counter along with the Key Date inorder to get the valid operations/activities for the period.

  • Deleting operations in master recipe of process orders

    Dear Guru's,
I want to delete the operations in master recipe of process orders. The operation numbers are different in different process orders. This activity has to be performed on bit large number of process orders. Can anyone help me in providing the process for doing this activity in mass. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kalyan

    Dear Kalyan,
Why do you want to delete the operations(basically phases)at process order level?
If it's really required to execute the Shop floor activties and if the order numbers is huge in number means then in my
understanding only a LSMW/BDC can help you,but technically I'm concerned about selecting the operation/phases for deletion
by passing on the confirmation number or operation number for a particular process order.
If it would be the latest operation/phase for a product means then make the changes in the master recipe so that the same is
getting copied into the process orders in the future.
Check and correct me if I'm wrong.

  • QM operation in Master Recipe

    Hi Experts,
We maintain QM operations in the Master recipe along with PP operations.
In my scenario - operations are maitained in following order
    1)QM operation 1
    2)PP operation 1
    3)QM operation 2
    4)QM operation 3
    5)PP operation 2
Now untill and unless Quality validate the QM operation 1  , PP cant be able to confirm PP operation 1 .
Same like in order for operation 2 and 3.
Plz guide to map the scenarios.
    Regards
    saurabh

    Dear Saurabh
You need to make the Sequencing also mandatory
in OPK4> For order type plant > in Generally valid settings maintain under Operation sequence > Error when operation sequence is not adhered to
By this it makes the operation 10 to be confirmed for operation 20 to be confirmed
Also make the overdelivery tolerance -  error when overdelivery tolerance is exceeded

  • Does master recipe have function for splitting phase?

does master recipes that create from T-code C201 have funtion for splitting operation/phase? since i can't find the function splitting in master recipe.
if it has, could anyone explain me?
    thanks
    kanapon

    Dhaval Choksi
I'm sorry if my question not clear so splitting that i meant is,
In routing, for example assumes that only one person/machine will be working on a job at a time. If it takes one hour to make one, and the order is for 10, the system will schedule the job at that work center to take 10 hours. However, if in the operation in the routing, you select "Required Splitting", then you put in "number of splits" as 2, then the system will assume you are having two people/machines work on the job at the same time, hence it will only schedule the job to take 5 hours, not 10
    thanks

  • Operation Spilits on Master Recipe

I m working on a scheduling formula which can be as Labor Time * Operation Quantity / Base Quantity / Operation Splits / No. of employees. I was not able to find no. of splits sort of field in master recipe. what i guess is that it is for discrete manufacturing and not for process industry although i can use it in formula for process industry and some how it is working perfectly. as per the impact no. of operation split has direct impact on base quantity as in case of change of base quantity if i changed the base quantity with out using no of splits it wont work and if i use it the result is perfect. Can any one explain the phenomena plz.......
Does no. of Employees has same impact as no. of splits teh only difference is that no. of employees is not affected by change in base quantity.
    Reply.......

    Hi Haque,
You are correct the No.Of splitting is generally used in Discrete Mfg. It is avl in routing operation detailed screen. where you check the box splitting allowed and enter Number of Splits.
As you said somehow it is working fine in your scenario could be taking the value as "1 " i.e. anything divided by 1 will be the same number.
Neither the Base qty Nor the No of employees have any effect on the no. of splits. You can maintain the No.of splits as "1 " it will work fine.
But I suggest you can create a new formula by removing the Operation Split from the denominator.

  • BDC for C201(Master Recipe Create)

    Dear,
Please help me in the following situation:
I have written a BDC for transaction code C201 for Master Recipe Creation. Its running ok.
    But I have doubts like
    for the 1st table control:
    1) if for one operartion there are more than 1 phases
then what precautions are needed for page down.
for the 2nd level inner table control:
    1) I am in the process of coding pagedown for this 2nd table control. If I have to code for it what all precautions will I have to take?
And in total what all precautions will I have to take?
    How feasible is this BDC?
I have searched for BAPI, but did not find one.
Kindly help me. I am under client pressure.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
In C201 transaction we have a table control in the operations screen. below the table control we have some push buttons and a input text field, we can make use this field to handle the table control. If you are insertinga first operation, enter the value in first row of the table control. for the second operation onwards enter max valye like 99999 in the input text box and click on enter. all the previous rows will scroll up and always second row of the table control will be free, so you can put the data in the second row. in the same way you will have some button to handle the other table control too .I hope this will help You

  • Master Recipe by LSMW

    Hello gurus,
Is it possible to use the LSMW for Master Recipe (TCODE c201) data migration? If so, is there a document or a web site which can guide me? Please help

    Hi,
Unfortunately, i could not found any LSMW for master recipes.
What I have done past is in LSMW create a screen recording of C201 and use the LSMW structure to do the rest (the mapping, conversions, etc). This work very well. It may take a few recordings to get all the data loaded (one for the operation/phases, one for the material assignment, etc) but it will work.
Or you can try with BDC For master recipe both in creation and change mode.
hope you will find this useful !!

  • Is it Necessary to create production version if  using master recipe

    our industry Process industry
we are using Master recipe for Production
is it necessary to create production version

    Hi Krishna,
Production version is essential to mantain if you have a PP-PI industry scenario.
However, if you have not mantained it, you can still create a process order. Process order first searches for the production version (automatically/ manually) depending on the configuration settings.
If you have not mantained it, system would throw a SAP standard information message, "Material XXXXX: Production Version not mantained".
If system is not able to select valid master recipe / version.  it would look for default values for operation in the master recipe settings and would try to create a operation.

Method for Selecting Alternative Bills of Material
Indicator determining the selection of the alternative BOM when requirements are exploded in material requirements planning.
    Use
With Selection by order quantity, the system chooses the alternative BOM into whose lot size range the order quantity falls. The lot size range and area of validity of the BOM apply.
With Selection by explosion date, the system chooses the alternative BOM into whose area of validity the date falls according to the setting BOM via dates.
With Selection by production version, the system chooses the alternative BOM defined in the valid production version. The lot size range and area of validity of the production version apply.
With Selection only by production version, the system chooses the alternative BOM defined in the valid production version. The lot size range and area of validity of the production version apply.
If no production version is found, no production orders or process orders can be created.

  • Master Recipe without material

    Dear PP Gurus,
    I have one query.
I want to create master recipe without material, i have created the same.
Now while creating process order it is giving error,
BOM for material 500000010 does not contain any valid items
    Message no. CO636
    please guide
    thanks in advance
    kailash thakkar

    Hi Kailash,
    What is mean by
I want to create master recipe without material, i have created the same.
    What's the reason behind it.
    Regarding error CO636,
    - Check your BOM of that 500000010 might be components are missing over here.
    or
    - might be From to To lot size of BOM is not match with your Process order qty.
    or
    - Also check Valid From to To Date of your BOM.

  • Creation of Process Order without assigning master recipe

    Hi,
I want to create a process order without having default master recipe for the given material or default operation for the given order type. I want the user to select the master recipe manually in process order. We do not want to use production version also.
We can define the default operation for the order type (OPJG) so that we can create a process order. I do not want a default operation in the process order but the user should select a valid master recipe. If we have default operation in the process order, it serves no purpose as it is never used anywhere.
Is there any way we can achieve this?
    Regards,

    Hi,
