Master Scheduling/MRP Issue

My EBS version is 11.5.10.2
In Master Scheduling/MRP Module,under MDS and MRP Submenu,
there is a functions named 'opertions', shows the opertions of MDS and MRP, can anybody be so kind to tell me how does the checkbox 'net reservations' work in that screen?
suppose i have two sales orders
SO1 ordered for ITEM A for 100,
SO2 ordered for ITEM A for 20(reserved)
ITEM A has 100 onhand
import SO1 into MDS and run mrp, should i have only 80 avliable for ITEM A if i checked the 'net reservations' checkbox?
any reply is highly appreciated!

i have scheduled MRP run in MDBT with variant MRP1,then when i run it,it was released but others have been cancelled automatically by the system.why?

Scheduled MRP run were cancelled automatically after released a new one

hi guys,
I've scheduled MRP run but when i realeased it, the previous schedule has been canceled automatically. Why is this happen?

CPU clocking 100% for Master Scheduler

Hi
Most of the time my Master scheduler is clocking 100% CPU. There are 6 process schedulers. 2 are dedicated process scheduler(not defined as online app servres in Configuration.properties file on Webserver) where as 4 are process scheduler as well as online app servers. Problem is that all those users who are connected to Master scheduler server are experiencing Performance issue. Other 3 online servers are not so engaged as CPU utilisation for them is between 6% - 20% only.
My question is is this set is adviceable ? or making one of the dedicated process scheduler as Master scheduler will help?
My hardware configuration of all appservers is 2 x 2.4 Intel Xenon HT and 3GB Ram.

Thanks for your reply. Following were the processes that are running on Master Scheduler at time when it clocked 100%.
pspubdsp.exe
psqrysrv.exe
jsh.exe (20 different instances)
pssamsrv.exe
psappsrv.exe (350K x 2 instances)
Not sure which one was keeping CPU occupied? I'll keep an eye again and see which one is picking most CPU%.

Vendor Master Record & MRP

Hi All ,
If i want to pull out a specific field from Vendor master so that it gets populated in PR(which is made after MRP run ) , is it possible?
I am actually trying to input a particular no. in the vendor master and then pull it through PR.
So I want to find what fields are sent in MRP run and then find if those field are blank in my clients vendor master. I will then populate that number in that blank field and pull it across.
Is this possible?

Reg LPA Delivery schedules - MRP

Hi
Delivery schedules got created via MRP - LPA document type
We haven't released to vendor [JIT or Forecast]
When i manually change quantity in generated delivery schedule, Firmed indicator is ticked as expected
i am unable to uncheck this indicator when go there change mode it is grayed out
Please suggest

In fyou want to get a material from a sub-contractor you will have to use spl proc key as 30.
Suppose you watn to receive a HALB matl from contractor use key 30.
When you run mrp, a planned order will be created.
Convert this in to pur order.
use me2o or mb1b & send the raw material to the contractor thro 541 mvnt.
Then use migo 101 mvmnt & receive HALB.
You have to use 30 only if you need to get the full material from the contractor.
Suppose you have 3 operation for the halb & you want the contractor to do only the 20th operation then you go for ext processing. For this give control key pp02 in the opreation 20 in the routing.

SCHEDULE MRP RUN POST PP/DS RUN

Dear All,
How can i link a backgroung job in ECC 6.0 for a MRP RUN, subsequently to PP/DS run in SCM 5.0 so that i can plan NON-APO componnets.
Suggest me a method so that the backgroung job gets automatically triggered once the PP/DS run fininshes.

As far as I know, there is no way to trigger ECC MRP from APO PP/DS side.
I think the easyest way is control PP/DS job and MRP job by using JOB scheduler. I think you use ECC6.0 and SCM5.0.In this case, you can use REDWOOD Cronacle with free liscense.
This job schedule enable you to use event base job control.
So you can trigger ECC MRP after finishing SCM PPDS MRP from this scheduler.

Daily schedules - MRP

Hi all,
We are using scheduling agreement / lines through MRP. Agreement type is LP.
At present we give the demand weekly. So schedule lines are generated weekly.
But I want the system to generate daily schedule lines. I dont want to the change the lot size to daily in MPR1.
Kinldy suggest what to do.

In MD62, goto schedule lines tab page > Edit> Split period online.
Input Day. System will split weekly demand into daily schedule lines.

"Generic" material master in MRP run

Hi
Our business users want to use MRP to manage the stock of materials such as circuit breakers. There are however many manufacturers/types and while a certain specification is required, they would be happy to purchase from a variety of suppliers whose products could be different from one another.
Would it be possible to use MRP to do this, and how could that be achieved?
The process envisaged would be something like this:
Material number xxxxx with MRP settings defined; stock falls beyond prescribed level.
System must generate requisition indicating requirement for circuit breaker in general
Procurement must get quotations from variety of suppliers (as per tender and procurement policy) based on minimum specification.
Quotations received must be evaluated and based on price/quality, the supplier selected and order placed.
Item must be received against specific material number yyyyy for that supplier's circuit breaker.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

you can only receive an item which is specified in the purchase order.
if the purchase order has XXXX then you cannot receive YYYY, you have to receive XXXX and then either use a 309 movement to get it to YYYY, or even better using a production order to make YYYY from XXXX.
Further if you plan XXXX and procure YYYY, then this order does not reduce the requirement for XXXX, and the next MRP run will give you again a requisition for XXXX.

Scheduled MRP run.

we are running MRP as a batch job every day. my clientss requirement is to know all the purchase requisitions and planned orders generated against that particular MRP rup. is there any way to get this particular information.

For purchase requisition check in the t-code ME5A and for planned orders in CO41. It also depends on your business process how you configure the MRP parameters I mean whether to generate the requistion or planned orders.
Also you can check in the tables EBAN and PLAF with status indicator which shows whether they are generated manually or automatically through MRP run..

MRP Plan Error

Dears All
I'am testing the MRP to Release a PO as follows:
1. Create sourcing rule
2. Assign sourcing rule
3. Create quotation or create blanket PO
4. Create Apporve Supllier List
5. Set MRP: default Sourcing Assignment Set
6. Run MRP and release planned order
The MRP plan is going well.
But as soon as i set the sourcing rule separately(ex. supplier A:60% rank 1,supplier B:40% rank 1), the MRP launch concurrent process(Memory-based Snapshot) is performed with errors.
And when i set the sourcing rule with whole one back(ex. supplier A:100% rank 1, or supplier B:100% rank 1), the MRP launch concurrent process is performed well again.
So i am do sure that this error is related with sourcing rule.
Can someone help to resolve this?
