Master Slides image sitting on top of recorded slide image.

When I record slides the only image that appears on the slide are the mouse movements and the Master Slide image.  It looks like the Master Slide image is "sitting on top" of the recorded image.  The recorded images are listed in the Library as Backgrounds.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Look in the Properties tab > General accordion to see if Use Master Slide Background is selected.

    Of course! Here ya go
For the record, I did create a new project with only two slides to try and duplicate the issue. I had the same problem. I unchecked the Mouse Click Sound check box, republished and the slide auto advanced. I'm wondering if a default sound file was somehow moved or deleted? I discussed uninstalling and reinstalling C7 onto my laptop, but that's a frustrating solution haha

  • I want to get rid of "current slide" that is on top of my slide show. Any sugg?

i want to get rid of it saying "current slide" on top of screen

I'm going to guess here because of the paucity of info you've provided:
You click on Play and what you see is a screen with the slide with the words :Current Slide" above it - yes?
If that is the case, what you are looking at is the Presenter Display and not the presentation.
    1. Check that your displays are not swapped:  Keynote Preferences > Slideshow > Set Present on Primary Display ON
    2. Check that your Presenter Display is correct: Keynote Preferences > Presenter Display > Alternate Display - Use alternate display to view presenter information (checked)
    See if that doesn't help.
    Good Luck
Also check that the F7 key on your MBP (has two rectangles on it) hasn't been pressed - this will swap displays, too.

  • Selecting Top N records in a table using a slider or drop down list

    Hi Experts,
I have a query that  displays 1000 records ( say) in VC iview.
Can i have a drop down list in the variable form to control the number of records displayed in the output table by the user .
or can i have a horizaontal slider ( Min value is 2 -max 1000)  to display the number of records in the output table  selected by the horizaontal slider.
basically iam having a requirement to give the user the capability to select the Top N records of the output table...where the user enters the N value in Drop downlist of variable form or user slides the N value using Horizontal slider
    Thnaks
    P.Navakanth

    Hi
Yes it is possible. First you need to create 'Condition' in BEx query where you have to create 'TOP N' & 'N' should be a variable input. Then you will get this in 'Variable Screen' of a query. In VC for this same variable you can use slider. Use 'Select' function in the 'Action' of the slider & pass it to require table/graph.
Try this, this will give you the required result.

  • Website logo needs to sit on top of backgropund image with no box

I am trying to create a logo with a transparnt background for my website, so my logo can sit on top of background images. I have created different file, png, gif, eps all with transparent backgrounds but everytime I upload it to my website builder (wix) it has either a grey or white background. Can someone advise on how I would ahcieve the correct file?

    Jadelm,
Presuming you are referring to the large grey box, I agree with Gonzalogxg.
If you are referring to what appears to be a white fringe, it should only occur in GIF and only if you have a Matte colour different from the background, but not in PNG and EPS.

  • How do I make text sit on top of an image without it disappearing.

I am currently copying and pasting images with captions from quark express files to indesign cs6 files.
Everytime I copy and paste these images the captions which are on top of the image disappear behind
the image.  How do I put the text back on top of the image?  and in general how do you put text on top
of an image without it disappearing?

This is probably a really bad workflow that will end up biting you. I've not actually been able to copy a an image box from Quark and paste it into ID to test, so I don't know waht youare doing, exactly, but odds are you are not pasting a link to the image (doe sit show a link in ID's Links panel?). If not, you should be building this from scratch or opening the Quark file directly in ID (up to version 4 with out a plugin, later than that requires the Q2ID plugin from Markzware).

  • How do you make an image or text, appear on every slide?

How do you make an image appear on every slide?

What part did you not understand?
As Andrew said, open the Keynote file, go to the View Menu>Show Master Slides
This is what you should see on the left hand slide of the window. The Master slides are at the top and the check mark goes by the Master Slide that is referenced on which ever slide you have selected in the Slides pane.
Add to the Master slide the image or text that you would like to see on the slides that are made off of that master. You can see in the Title & Bullets master slide, I added the shape in the lower left hand corner and it was added to all the slides build off that master.
If this still isn't clear, let us know where you are getting stuck and we will try to help.

  • How do you add multiple images in Keynote with the same slide formatting?

I want to add 100+ images into Keynote for a photo slideshow, and I want all of the images to be preformatted using the frame/border style I set up in one of the  master slides...I don't want the images to fill the entire slide, and the goal is to not have to touch every slide and every image.  I know I can add images individually using the media button on the photo placeholder and the photo will fill the frame I have created, but I want to do this for all images at one time.  Is there a way to do this when adding the images into the presentation, or a way to format them all at once after adding them to the presentation.  Someone please help, I have looked everywhere and have had no luck finding an answer!!!  I accidentally made this happen last week when I was playing around but I don't know what I did and I can't seem to duplicate the results.  I feel certain there has to be a fairly simply solution, something I am missing.  I am working in the most recent version of Keynote (ver 6) and on Maverick OS.

tspencer74, I have exactly the same problem and it's driving me nuts! I'm heartened that you managed to actually do this even by accident as I've not managed to make it happen at all in spite of much fiddling. So, the big question, did you find the answer? If so can you tell me what it is please?

  • Is there a way to overlay a soundcloud music player widget (flash or HTML5) ON TOP of a jpeg image?

I am designing my first webpage for a new site. It is very basic in function, where I am going to be embedding a bunch of soundcloud.com players of my music to my website. This part is fairly easy. I currently have Adobe Dreamweaver CS6.
Since I have ZERO webdesign experience, going the easy route is best. It was suggested to me by someone to create what I wanted my webpage to look like in photoshop (which I have lots of experience in). Essentially, I have a single image with lots of visual information on it, where I can then add "hotspots" if needed. So, I created my design, where there are specific areas ON TOP of the jpeg image where I want to overlay the soundcloud player. I am able to adjust the size, and format (HTML5 or Flash) of the player itself at soundcloud. I then have the proper code that needs to be put where I want it on top of my image.
Is there a simple piece of code, or a way in Dreamweaver to accomplish this in an easy way?
    Thanks in advance!

Here is the widget code for HTML5 for the first one:
    <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F63420632&c olor=c51c64&auto_play=false&show_artwork=false"></iframe>
    Flash if needed:

    Second one: (HTML5)
    <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F57922474&c olor=c51c64&auto_play=false&show_artwork=false"></iframe>

And finally, here is a link to the jpeg image:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?z2bngmtiikmi9k9  (only 2mb files were permitted to be uploaded here directly)
You can probably see where I want the player to overlay...below the text and to the right of the artwork.  I will have the image centered on the screen.
    I greatly appreciate your help!
    Thanks again,

  • Images are showing up in different slides

I have a project with 21 slides.  When I "Preview From this Slide",  the slide works fine.  But, when I "Preview Project"  and enter the slide, an image from Slide 16 is shown in Slide 20.  This is wrong, why would Captivate move images around arbitrarily?

What about Preview in Browser or Preview in HTML Browser? Is this Captivate 8? If not, which version do you use?
Probable causes: that image is set to display for rest of project, or on the master slide. You can track the image, can you check its properties?

  • Hide objects/information on recorded slide

    Hello,
I want to hide information and objects on the recorded slides
in my project. So that if I publish them, you can't see that
specific info. Is it possible in Captivate?
    Thx

Hi SoSch and welcome to our community
Indeed you may and it's easier than you think. I do this by
inserting a Highlight Box object. Configure the Border to 0 and the
Fill Color to match the area you are hiding. The eyedropper tool is
so good for this! Then position the highlight box over what you
    want to hide.
Here's the cool part. Often, the area you want to hide
appears across multiple slides. I then copy the Highlight Box
object from where I created it, select the slides where I also need
it and paste. Poof! It's pasted on all the selected slides
in exactly the same place it was copied from which means I
don't have to futz with positioning it!
As a final step, you may choose to right click the Highlight
Boxes and merge them into the background. This has the same effect
as if you had popped the background into an image editor and
blotted out the undesired or sensitive information.
    Hopefully this was helpful... Rick

  • On 'insert FLV' player sits on top of video, not below

    Hi, there.
I'm not a website designer, just a vdeo editor, who would like to post an FLV on a simple page with flash player controls below the video.  In the past when I've used the 'insert flv' function, I've been able to have the player sit below the image.  Now, when I insert an FLV, the player sits on top of the video.  Is there any way to fix this without adjusting the code? (which I don't know how to do) Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

This behavior depends on the player template you choose. If you think the result you see is incorrect, adjust the height and width attributes, which can be done in the property inspector, if you're not into code.

  • Editing the recorded slide

I am just new to Adobe Captivate - before I used another program.
Now I am wondering if there is no way to edit the recorded slide.
    1. When I use the timeline I can find no way to mark a part of the slide at cut it away from the timeline.
    2. I am wondering that when I pause the timeline - the red line stops on the right place, but the the video is showing the first image again.
When I record my slide  there are some popup windows I have to move to the right place for making the slide look good. The time I use to move the popup window I want to cut out.
In the software I used before it was possible.

    Hi there
From what you posted it would seem you recorded your movie using Full Motion (FMV) recording mode. Ouch!
When you record using FMV, it is very similar to the old 8MM movies from years ago. If you filmed a room full of relatives and there was an ugly chair in the room, you would not be able to edit the movie so it mostly remained the same but the chair was gone. This sounds like what you are wanting to do.
With a FMV all Captivate will allow you to do is to split the recording or append (splice) other recording bits. If you are wondering where this capability is, it's in a different editor that's not all that simple to find. Basically you need to locate the clip in the Library. This is pretty easy to do. Just right-click the clip in the Captivate editor and choose Find in Library. This should highlight the clip. Now in the Library, right-click the clip and choose Edit. This should open the FMR Editor.
You would be well advised to ignore that FMV exists with Captivate. Seldom will you achieve a desirable result. Captivate works best in the Slide By Slide recording mode. We hope to see FMV "get there" and be on par with TechSmith's Camtasia Studio at some future point. Unfortunately, that point is likely to be a couple or three versions away.
If I have something requiring FMV, I use Camtasia and output that as a SWF that I insert into Captivate. You can get some really good stuff that way.
    Cheers... Rick
