Masterhead and Logon page

Hello!
I'm customizing login page by this guide:
Modifying The Logon Par(or customising the Logon Screen)
And it's all good.
But I want to have at login page master head that I have in my frame. (I already have my own masterhead)
How can I do that?

That is a interesting question.
I suggest configuring Anonymous login to initial page with logon protected iview or link to navigate to logon protected iview.
Anonymous login will show your masthead and logon protected iview will show a cool logon prompt.
Should work.

Slava

  • Translation of MasterHead and Logon screen

    Hi Gurus,
Currently I translate a portal to romanian language. But I have a serious problem. I can't find the source of the logon screen's texts (Welcome, Login, Password ect.) and I am not able to translate the MasterHead iView. ( Welcome, Help, Log off ect.)
I already wanted to use the standard content translation tool to translate the main template of Masterhead, but I can't find the text inside.
Do you have any idea, where to find the source? UME?
    Best,
    Levente

    Hi Praveen,
Thank you for your reply, I guess it solves my problem!
    One more question.
I downloaded the property file, but it is a little bit hard to edit.

Do you know a right tool to edit this file. For example what about the "SLIM generator" ?

  • Issue in Customizing the Logon Page and Replacing the Logon Panel Image

I have facing problem in Customizing the Logon Page and Replacing the Logon Panel Image in Hyperion Workspace 11.1.2.1. I have tried multiple time.
First Replacing the Logon Panel Image. I have following the steps given in admin guide of EPM workspace on page 25 and they are as follow
To replace the image that is displayed on the logon panel:
1 Create an image file named logon_panel.gif with dimensions that match previous image.
2 Rename the installed version of logon_panel.gif to logon_panel.gif.original in
    %EPM_ORACLE_HOME% /common/epmstatic/bpmui/themes/<do for each
theme>/images_global. Move the logon_panel.gif file that you created in step 1 to this
    directory.
    3 Clear your browser cache.
Note: You do not need to restart the Hyperion Foundation Services - Manager Server.
But still I am getting the same default image on log in page.
The other problem I am facing is Customizing the Logon Page.
I am following the steps given in admin guide of EPM workspace on page 17 and they are as follow:
    To customize the logon page:
1 Follow instructions in the topic Extract a file in the Workspace Web Application.
    2 Backup file <temp directory>/war/WEB-INF/lib/bpmui.jar.
    3 Extract the contents of <temp directory>/war/WEB-INF/lib/bpmui.jar to <temp
    directory>/bpmui_jar/.. (*)
    4 Backup file <temp directory>/bpmui_jar/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperion/bpm/
    Resources_en.properties.
    5 Edit file <temp directory>/bpmui_jar/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperion/bpm/
    Resources_en.properties.
6 Search for the property bpm.logonCopyright.
    Customizing the Logon Page 17
7 Modify the text to the right of the equal sign. Use \n to get a new line.
    8 Save your changes.
9 Repeat step step 1 through step step 8 for all the other Resources_xx.properties files for other
    locales.
    10 Jar the contents of <temp directory>/bpmui_jar/ to <temp directory>/war/WEBINF/
    lib/bpmui.jar.
11 Continue with the topic, Re-package a file inside the Workspace Web Application.
For the first part I am following
Extract a file in the Workspace Web Application
ä To extract files in Workspace Web Application:
1 Stop the service for Hyperion Foundation Services - Managed Server.
    2 Backup file <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/products/Foundation/workspace/
    InstallableApps/workspace.ear.
    16 Administration Tools and Tasks
3 Using an unarchiving utility, extract the contents of <EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/products/
    Foundation/workspace/InstallableApps/workspace.ear into a <temp
    directory>.
    4 Create <temp directory>/war.
    5 Extract the contents of <temp directory>/workspace.war into <temp directory>/
    war.
6 Update the file you are patching under <temp directory>/war. as direct in it.
But I am not able to find file bpmui.jar in step 3 of above one (*). I have marked for your connivance.
I am able to see these file in that directory
    dynamichelp.jar
    workspace.jar.
Can anyone provide help on this. Platform I am using is LINUX

You seem to have posted this in the wrong forum. This forum is for Oracle Enterprise Manager - not Hyperion.

  • Portal Logoff and redirect to my own (created) logon page

    Hi experts,
one Question about "Portal logoff and redirect to another URL", and I know there already are solutions how to fix that, but I was not successfull with my doings.
I have a customized logon page. When I call "http://myportal:50000/irj/portal/anonymous", I can see my own logon page. That works fine.
    Now to my problem:
    1) I'm using SAP NetWeaver Portal v7.01 (VMWare) with Windows 7 (x64 Bit)
    2) In Config Tool "ume.logoff.redirect.silent" is setted at true and "ume.logoff.redirect.url" (both under "Global settings") at "http://myportal:50000/irj/portal/anonymous". Than WebAS has been restarted.
    3) In source code of the Portal page (Masthead), I could see that the setted values can be readed from config tool
    4) So far I could understand, when the parameters are setted and "silent" is true, than a new iframe will be created which is append to the document (JavaScript: logoffThirdParty())
    5) After this, the logoff form will submitted, that means xxxx.LogOutComponent is running. Think this components reads some hidden attributes as "logon_submit", and one of this should be the (new created) externalIFrame
Instead of my anonymous page, I see the default SAP logon page. I don't have made any changes on com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead iView (should be the right name I think).
    Thanks for assitance and regards,

  • Logon Page - Trademark text and background color

    Hi Guys,
I just customized the Logon Page of the Portal successfully. The only two things which are missing are the trademark as well as a new background color. So ... can anybody tell how to:
    1. Change the SAP Trademark text in the Logon Page?
    2. Change the background color of the background page?
Hopefully I can do it in the portal. Thanks for your answers and your help.
    Best regards
    Alexander

    Alexander,
In addition to the tips you already got from the other members...
    1. The Background colour is the background colour that is defined in the theme assigned in the Default Portal Desktop (defaultDesktop) that is located in the folder: pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/. By default the Tradeshow theme is selected in this desktop if you create your own theme and assign it to this desktop and set it as default then the background colour of your theme will be the background colour visible in the login page....
    2. The Trademark text is a "Locale text" this means that the strin is not visible in the code but referenced by a variable based on the language of the browser. You can find this copywrite text in the following location:
    a. Download the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file from your Portal
    b. Import it in NWDS or unzip it.
    c. inside the structure look for the folder PORTAL-INF\lib
    d. there is a .jar file called umelogonbase.jar. extract this file with winzip
    e. inside the structure you now see allot of .properties files.. look for the loginLabels_<yourcountrycode>.properties and inside this file look for the variable called "COPY_RIGHT" there you can edit it.
    f. do this for all the languages you need and create a new par file again in your customer namespace so that you don't overwrite the one from SAP.
    Good Luck,

  • Object Based Navigation and several Logon Pages

    Hi SAP Experts,
when searching help.sap.com for object-based navigation, I get a very detailed and helpful description about what Object-based navigation is:
"The primary capability offered by OBN is that the data returned to the user during navigation is role-based and accessed dynamically during runtime. While navigating in the portal, users receive different kinds of data from iViews based on business objects, according the needs and requirements of their role in the organization. In other words, two different users may perform the same navigation operation, for example, drag the same link from the same iView onto the same target iView, and the data returned to each of them will be different because it is role dependent. This is the work of business object operations."
However it is not specified in the Help, if I can use these navigation objects also for several Logon Pages for different users. Does anybody of you have experience with that?
I know that I can handle different Logon Pages by defining a Portal Gateway Mechanism. Is that still necessary or can I handle everything with OBN?
Thanks in advance and best regards
    Alex

    Hi Parameshwari,
Object-Based Navigation (OBN)is the portalavigation scenerio. the navigation targets are defined by operations of a business object.
Object-based navigation (OBN) offers portal users an additional method of navigation based on business objects from productive back-end systems. From the Portal Content Catalog, the business objects are imported from systems in the Portal Content Directory (PCD) to the Business Objects folder in the Portal Content Catalog, where they can be arranged logically into sub-folders as desired.
The primary capability offered by OBN is that the data returned to the user during navigation is role-based and accessed dynamically during runtime. This is the work of business object operations.

  • Deploying Custom Windows 7 Logon page and switch user button

I am trying to use ZCM 11 Group Policy management to do two things. 1). Turn off the Windows 7 switch user feature that exists in the start menu and at the initial logon screen, and 2). Add a policy statement graphic to the initial logon screen in Windows 7.
Feature 1 above is done by changing 'Hide entry points for 'Fast User Switching' in Computer Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>System=>Logon. But in order to get rid of the 'Switch User' button on the initial logon screen you also have to enable 'Interactive logon: Do not display last user name' in Computer Configuration=>Windows Settings=>Security Settings=>Local Policies=>Security Options and we only want this enabled for students. There are only two options for this setting - 'enabled' and 'disabled'.
Feature 2, adding a graphic to the initial logon screen, is turned on by enabling 'Always use custom logon background' in Computer Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>System=>Logon and creating a custom bmp file placed in C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\.
Because the 'Interactive logon: Do not display last user name' setting only has enable/disable options (the default is disable) and because user associated settings overwrite workstation associations Im using two policies, one workstation and one user as inidcated below:
    User GPO :
Enable 'Interactive logon: Do not display last user name' in Computer Configuration=>Windows Settings=>Security Settings=>Local Policies=>Security Options
NOTE: This allows me to differentiate between student and staff users.
    Workstation GPO:
Enable 'Hide entry points for 'Fast User Switching' in Computer Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>System=>Logon
Enable 'Always use custom logon background' in Computer Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>System=>Logon
    Bundle:
Deploys the bmp file to C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\.
Unfortunately, this setup only works as intended when the user is set up with a volatile DLU policy. When the user associated DLU is non-volatile it doesnt display the graphic and it does not remove the switch user button on the main logon screen. If I logon/logoff as a non-volatile user I get the generic Windows 7 logon page with the switch user button visible, when I logon/logoff as a volatile user I get the custom graphic logon page without the switch user button. Whats even stranger is that when I go into gpedit.msc and look at the settings after I log in, theyre correct for each type of user.
Does anyone have any insight on why I might be seeing this problem?
Ive tried to be complete as possible describing the problem but if didnt describe something correctly or someone needs additional info, please let me know.
    Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi Dan,
    are you using Novell CLient?
The Tiles on the Login Screen also depend on the Client configuration. If there is only Novell CLient active Windows cannot display other tiles or switch user.

  • Error on Portal Logon Page

    Hi Experts,
We are getting exception while calling the Portal URL.
Recently, we changed the password policy and made some customizations on the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file.
After that when I tried to access the Logon page, it gave an exception.
I even replaced the customized logon par file with the original one but it did not help.
Please note that I deployed the logon par file with the same name, so I did not have to make any changes in the authschemes.xml file.
So ideally when I replaced the customized PAR file with the original one, it should have worked out.
Can it be because of some UME property "Password Policy change" or something like that which has been changed by our Basis team  in the Config tool and which is creating issues now.
Is there any connection between the UME property and the Portal Logon page? I know that UME comes into picture once the user clicks on Login button after entering the login credentials but does it also come in picture at the portal logon page call?
We are not able to trace out the root cause as both Password Policy Change and deployment of PAR was done parallely due to which we are confused about the cause of the issue.
Please find below the trace against the exception ID:

    Hi,
Check if your portalapp.xml has an entry "<property name="ClassName" value="com.sapportals.portal.ume.component.logon.SAPMLogonComponent"/>"
If it is there, then I feel that this is an issue with jar files not getting imported properly.
Just try including these two jars (umlogonbase.jar and com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar) from
    usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\lib
and copy manually to the lib folder under PORTAL-INF in your project.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

  • Portal Logon page repeating/ redirecting to itself on first attempt

    All,
Apologies in advance if this is not the appropriate forum.  We are in the process of migrating a NW7.0SPS13/EP7.0SPS13 installation from a remote site to a local site with a database only UME and SSO to an ECC6.0 backend.  The new target installation has picked up a rather odd behavior.  When loggin onto the portal, the logon page repeats/refreshes/redirects to itself with valid ID and password with no error message.  The only apparent action is the clearing of the password field.
My only clue so far is the absence of this script in the http trace on the initial logon attempt which shows up on the second attempt:
    http://<host>:51100/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.httpconnectivity.httpauthentication/scripts/CAManagerScript.js
I did find this related thread and attempted the suggestions with no luck:
Re: portal logon page coming again
I felt this might be the best place to post question since this may be an authentication/connectivity issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Lee

You are correct, we are not implementing SPNego but at this point I will take any suggestions that might be conceptually related...
We are attempting to migrate/clone the entire server (OS,J2EE,MSSQL05...) from a remote hosted environment to a local network environment.
I checked the Everyone, Authenticated, and Anonymous groups for the correct roles/Java permissions and all seems to be in-line with the correctly functioning remote system with correct user assignment.
With some further log filtering I was able to where find this error:
The default keystore view [TicketKeystore] does not exist. Authentication stack: [ticket]. The possible reasons for that problem are: keystore does not exist or the user has no permission to read from the keystore view. You can delete the TicketKeystore and restart the engine so that the engine automatically re-creates it.
I suspect the SAPLogonTicketKeystore was recreated incorrectly...  I will have the migration team recreate it again.  FWIW, I am unfamiliar with the process of assigning user access to this object as the error suggests.
    Thanks for the suggestions...
