Masthead pop up issue in SP21

Dear All,
we customized out portal masthead as well as standard desktop for EP7 patch level 14, it was working fine in production environment and development environment , then we upgraded the development environment to sp21 and we encountered a pop up issue on top level navigation, the worksets and roles are opening in a new window rather then openinig on a active window. this is a major navigation issue. we customized the masthead using com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar,
my concern is once we upgrade portal, are we have to download the new par file in sp21 or is it works with a old jar file (sp14).
because i checked dowloading the sp14 and sp21 jar file ( com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar) there is a different in file size.

Hi Aflal ,
Since this started happening after the upgrade , i suspect something has gone wrong while upgrading . Even if that is not the case , navigation issues like these might occur after an upgrade . Check out all relavent SAP notes . You can also record the traces through http watch and compare , although i think it will not help much but still give it a try .You may get a clue .
If you have a clustered environment , check if the issue is coming on all server nodes and because it is dev you can always take a restart and see . If nothing works then without wasting much time raise an OSS .I dont think this has got anything to do with your masthead component .

Adobe Pop-up Issues

Ever since I downloaded Adobe Reader 9.1 from Adobe's main site a month ago, I've been invariably getting a pop-up window from "Problem Reports and Solutions" every time I tried closing the application. hi! I'm running Adobe Reader on a Windows Vista Home Premium OS with SP2 installed. The antivirus software that I'm using is BitDefender Total Security 2009 and all security patches are up-to-date. There have been no annoying pop-ups that I experienced all along as my browser settings is set to block most automatic pop-ups. And the issue I'm experiencing had already been present right from the time I installed Adobe Reader, so it had never worked to begin with. By the way, did you have problems reading the details of the error log that I sent you as an attachment? And how do I paste logs that may be related to the error? Thanks.

I can't yet see the image you attached because it is still queued on Adobe's server but if you could tell us a little more about your system and possibly provide an error log, that would be a great way to help us work towards a solution to your issue. First, what operating system does your computer use? Service packs? Anti-virus and anti-spyware versions? Are all security patches up to date? Are you getting annoying popups when surfing the Web? Has anything been installed since it worked last?
To view event logs:
1. Right-click My Computer inthe Start menu
2. Click Manage
3. Expand the Event Viewer menu on the left
4. Click Application
Look for any error that is time-stamped around the time you last reproduced the error. Paste anything from the logs you feel may (or may not) be related.

DV6 IDT audio crackle pop click issue

I have pavilion dv6 with the crackle pop sound issue. It almost sounds like it crackles when the bass hits or higher notes. I have tried disabling hp 3d thing, that didnt work.
I updated newest drivers. Just very frustrating.

Fixed issue, so far, Will see if problem stays away if so I'll not send it in for repairs.
First time says christmas, i have been able to use my notebook. HP FAIL.
How did the techs not even update my drivers when i sent it in for repair. They did more work than necessary changing out speakers that were perfectly fine.

yeah.. after a post by Catherina i decided to post this to make sure you guys see it. If CL closes/deletes this thread they simply acknowledge that they dont want you to know the truth.
i called CL support yesterday around 4ish, and i asked if they got an update on the crackling/popping issue. the reply was "there is no case with popping/crackling issue with XFI that is known". i called again so that i speak with someone else to see if it was the case that only off them was unaware of the situation and got same reply.
the guys attempted to give me the entire troubleshoot again.. i told him i already done all that for the past 5 months bla bla bla.. he offered an RMA with updated firmware... i told him i already got an RMA 2 months ago...
now WTF is going on? are they simply BSing us that they have acknowledged the issue?

I'm not sure what you hope to achieve by starting this thread and essentially calling us liars. Customer Support have to troubleshoot a problem if someone contacts them. They won't have any new info for you yet. Others may contact Support with similar symptoms but resolve them by doing some of the troubleshooting mentioned.
Everything I have told you here is true, we are investigating this and as soon as I have some information for you I will be posting it here.
I'm closing this thread, not to silence you or because I "don't want you to know the truth", but because this thread was only started to cause an argument and I don't see any constructi've discussion coming from this. Please use the other thread to discuss this particular topic (crackling).

USB over current status detected pop out issue

I faced an issue regarding usb over current status detected pop out issue. This popout keep pop out most of the time when i switch on my tv. Even i've try to plug off my cable and swith it on back.

A different pop email issue

I have an issue with a pop account that I can get one e-mail off the server, but only one at a time. I have to delete the message I have in order to get the next one.
The account settings appear to be right, I have used them for years on my treo's with no problems.This is my primary account so this is a huge issue.
Any suggestions?

Its a attglobal.net account. and as far as I know there are no funny account requirements or settings like some of the bellsouth and att.net discussions have had.

Photo Booth Pop Art Issues

Having problems with pop art on photo booth. All software is current versions, but not sure when it wet funny.
Usually pop art setting gives you the four coloured screens, I currently get one red section with an image with the other 3 screens yellow.
Any idea what is causing this and a solution?

It "went funny" (e.g. broke) with the "upgrade" to 10.4.7.

I have personally experienced an number of bad issues with 10.4.7, mostly related to sleep issues. I have gone back to 10.4.6 and all my issues (including loss of pop art) are corrected.

Pop gmail issues with apple mail

I have one pop gmail account for two macs and two iphones. Normally we can retrieve email from each device. however, when my wife's macbook pro retrieves the messages using apple mail, the messages remain on the server but none of the other devices can retreive the same mail. My gmail is set up for pop. So the messages stay on the server until i personally remove them.
why can't our other apple devices retrieve the email that is still on the server after my wife's macbook pro accesses the server and retrieves the email?

I have each device to leave message on the server. We have it set up this way so that my wife and I can see all the mail that comes into our own devices. Then we can delete off each device as desired. I go in to the server once a month and delete old mail.
So to recap: My wife's macpro uses apple mail. it retrieves the mail from the server; but leaves it on the server. However, though the email is still on the server, the other devices cannot retrieve the email. it is like the email is old email that your device has already uploaded; but it hasn't uploaded to the other devices because my wife's mac opens the inbox on server first.
I know that this sounds confusing. it did not always work this way. for a long time any of our devices could open the inbox on the server, retrieve the messages and leave the email on the server inbox for the other devices. this issue is new.

Problems sharing screen (able to share document and whiteboard) - doesn't seem to be pop-up issue or account issue (can share screen when accessed from my laptop). Help!!!

LCCS Screensharing- Connect Now pop-up issue

I am trying use the demo of publisher and subscriber at the following location:

I have also tried the sample screensharing on different domain, I have the exact same issue so it is not the LCCS itself but the connectnow add-in issue.
I get the connect now pop-up on my desktop but I can not use it. Supposedly this is where I can select what I want to share-desktop or application. But this window doesn't open when I click on it. It just sits there in the bottom toolbar.
I am using windows 7, premium, x64. I tried in firefox, chrome and IE. Same issue.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling connect now but same issue.
I posted this thread in "ConnectNow Add" forum also about a week ago. But I haven't received any reply

Barcode POP UP issue in MIGO_GR by Two Users.

Hi,
I have an issue which the two users were facing while posting the GR against the same PO.
For archiving process of goods receipt documents we should enter a Barcode in transaction MIGO_GR.
By pressing icon "post" in MIGO_GR a pop-up window should open, where this Barcode can be entered.
Issue as follows:
With one user wxyz01 this window (Barcode) doesn't pop up and the goods receipts are posted without barcode allocation.
As well as with another user zxyw02 these windows (Barcode) pop up has come and the goods receipts are posted with barcode allocation.
I am asking all why the pop up window is coming for one User and not coming for another User.
Hence I am requesting all please help me where I need to check further to over come the issue.

Thanks Tags but that precentral artical is a load of crap! I've been a System engineer since 1993. I've setup countless email solutions for fortune 500 companies over the years, both pop & imap, and I've never heard of such a lousy excuse from a vendor.
POP was working as it should prior to the 1.3 update - end of story! imap-lite? Give me a break! Put it back the way it was so everyone is happy again.
I would prefer to use IMAP but as I had already explained, IMAP hasn't worked properly on my Pre (with Netaddress.com) since I got it. Deleted emails remain in the server's inbox until I go onto the server and manually delete them or use POP!
It seems that the 1.3.5 did nothing more than create new issues by the way... now none of my Google calander events, prior to August 2009 appear on my Pre anymore. Furthermore, every event after March 15th is off by an hour even though it'scorrect on Google's website. Also some off my Apps no longer work (ex. m:Mafia). WTF?!

Selection Screen pop up issue - with jump query RRI

Hi Experts,
I am facing one issue regarding Jump Query(RRI) functionality.
I have one query and also one drill down query.
I need to jump from the first query to the drill down query.
To achieve this , I have added the first query as sender in RSBBS T-Code and added the drill down query as Receiver.
I have also done the variable assignment from the Assignment Details tab.
Now the Jump functionality is working.
But , whenever I am jumping to the receiver query , The selection screen pop up is appearing.
I don't want this selection screen to appear during jump.
Please help me in this regard.

For testing purpose , I have used a single query as sender as well as receiver query.
So , the characteristics set is same.
The query is a simple query, with only one input variable.
and I have assigned it, from variable assignment.
But still the selection screen pop up is coming , when trying to jump.

Streaming & pop up issues

Folks, for the last 4 weeks i've been having issues navigating around my bank's website and also BBCi streaming. I can watch live or download but cannot stream. I also cannot get past home page of my bank's website. Apple Genius fixed issue temporarily via finder-go-alt-library-preferences and removed bbc content and verified permissions on hard drive and fixed/repaired it. THere were some minor issues that the first aid resolved. I've tried the same, the process or repair/verify worked but still the issue with websites remains. Oh yeah, its on safari, firefox and google chrome. i've cleared cache etc on all and deleted all cookies and ensured pop ups were not blocked. Any solutions or thoughts would be welcome!

I've posted really long answers to this, which you can track down in the forums if your interested; however, here's the short version:
Go to Control Panel > Flash Player > Allow sites to store information on this computer and just set it to allow. It's not buying you much in the way of privacy in 2015.
When you *do* want to surf the web privately, use your browser's private browsing mode. Flash Player respects it, the effect is far more comprehensive (it addresses both Flash and HTML5 tracking mechanisms, but not server-side tracking which is out of your control), and it doesn't degrade the user experience.
