Match Case in Discoverer

In Discoverer end-user client 3.1.36 there is a check box for 'match case' in the conditions tab. After unchecking this value and saving the workbook the "match case" becomes checked whenever the workbook is reopened. Is there a way around this or can this checkbox be made unchecked by default?

Please fill all your controls with typical strings, make the new values the default, save the VI under a new name, and attach it again.

  • Match Case in Find/Replace in TextEdit

Before updating to Lion, when using the Find/Replace function in TextEdit, I could choose to select "Ignore Case", or I could leave that deselected in which case it would only Find & Replace instances which matched the case of the text I entered.
Now on Lion, instead of that dialogue box poping up giving me that option, the Find / Replace function is built into the TextEdit window, and there's no option to select whether to match or ignore case. As it is, it just ignores case and replaces all matches for the text found, regardless of case.
That is not what I want! I need to match case!
Can I do that in Lion, or is that functionality completely gone?

like a lot of Apple "Interface Improovements" the stuff is well hidden. What i just found on another board: Just click on the magnifying glass icon (left of where you enter search text). A drop down menu will appear with search options - "Ignore Case".
There is also a lot of other neat stuff hidden there ... So happy searching! ;-)

  • Match of Oracle Discoverer Handbook w/ 9i version of Discoverer?

    Hi.
How does Armstrong-Smith's Oracle Discoverer Handbook (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0072126353/qid=1042581573/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-8595244-9204917?v=glance&s=books) match up with the newest version? Is it still useable, or has the UI or architecture changed in such a way that the book is obsolete?

    Hi Lance,
Thanks for the documents. Its really helpful to me.
I am able to change the look and feel of my reports. But I am unable to change the corporate logo.
    The steps that I followed.
    1.Goto discoverer Plus configruation.
2.Goto Logo change the option button from None to File and Choosed the .jpg file from C:\Logos.
    3.Restarted the application server.
4.Open the BI plus reports in IE. But still I am seeing the same Oracle Logo only.
5.But whatever the look and feel like plastic/system/oracle I changed I am able to see the changes.
6.The logo change is not as simple as I thought??. I need to create Jar on this logo and I need to put the jar file in java /j2ee directory???.
    Thanks,

  • QueryText for Not Matching case

    Hi ,
I am looking for a query string which will be used to fetch the files from UCM using dataBinder .
Query should return me all the files which Doesn't have Comment 'ProcessedBy='
I am aware of the query string which fetches files which have comment 'ProcessedBy'
    "xComments <matches> "ProcessedBy"
What should be the queryText for Not Having ?
    Thanks
    Kiran

In addition I'm going to share a tip for you to build your RIDC QueryText.
    1) Go to UCM console and click in your user.
    2) In the profile options set "Layout" to "Top Menus". With this layout you can see in the URL all IDC Services correctly :).
    3) Go to "Search" page and elaborate your query.
    4) Run the query and you will see the query in browser URL.
    Regards.

  • Need of Case insensitive searching

    Hi All,
I have a prompt where user wants to search whatever letter case, But lov has to get loaded how can we achieve it? attaching snap. kindly give suggestions.

In the search drop down, you can find match case option. If it is checked, the search will be case sensitive, otherwise case-insensitive.

  • CASE --IN SAPSCRIPT

    I WANT TO SAY
    CASE xxxx
    WHEN 3
    DO-----
    OTHERS
    DO-0000000
    IT DONT RECOGNIZE OTHERS WHY?

    HI.
The below is the help from SAP..
    Finding a Match: CASE
The CASE command covers a special case of the multiple case IF command. Rather than allowing an arbitrary condition to be tested in each of the individual cases (as in the general multiple case IF command), the CASE command allows a given symbol to be tested against specific values until a matching value is found.
    Syntax:
    /: CASE symbol
    /: WHEN value1
    /: WHEN value2
    /: WHEN valuen
    /: WHEN OTHERS.
    /: ENDCASE
The symbol in the CASE line is formatted. If its value is found in one of the WHEN lines, then the text lines following this WHEN line are printed. If no matching value is found then the text lines enclosed by the WHEN OTHERS line and the ENDCASE command are printed. The WHEN OTHERS section is optional.
As with the IF command, the comparison is always performed on literal values.
A CASE command must be terminated by an ENDCASE command.
The WHEN OTHERS section is optional.

  • BUG: SQLDev 4.0: Find... (Ctrl-F) does not work properly in some cases

    Hi,
I've noticed while working on PL/SQL packages that if I do a search (Ctrl-F), go back to editing and then do another search (Ctrl-F), I get the results of the first search word. As a workaround, if I then click in the search box and edit it (e.g. add space, remove space), the search 'refreshes'.
I'm fairly certain that this worked properly up to 4.0EA3...
    Best regards,

    ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1
    ORACLE_SID=mydb
The mis-matched cases stem from my predecessor deciding he didn't like database names in lower case, so started changing in mid-stream.  I'm not sure exactly what he did or how he did it.  But that aside, the results of creating a new dbcontrol (getting two directories for the same database) still puzzling.  I started by dropping the original (emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop), which dropped the upper-case version of the directories, but left the lower-case version.  I then deleted that manually before running emca to configure a new dbcontrol, but still ended up with both versions.
    Ideas?

The ORACLE_HOME may have been set twice with differents values in it (i.e. extra slash) before starting twice the same db.

    Hi,
It's surprising (to me) that you're getting that particular error.
It's not surprising that you're getting some error, since insertXML is expecting the first argument to be a ctxType, and you're passing a VARCHAR2 instead. Create a ctxType, and use it as the first argument. (Sorry, I'm not familiar with that package, so I can't give you any details.)

  • Match leading spaces in a regular expression?

I have the following regular expression:
    ^[^0-9A-Z][^0-9A-Z ]$
For some reason, it does not match leading spaces, so " A" is considered no match, even though space is obviously neither a digit or an uppercase letter...
[Edit] Also, it doesn't seem to match case properly - "ab" is matched, but not "Ab" or "aB"...

    Then remove the not's ^
    From : ^[^0-9A-Z][^0-9A-Z ]$
    To     : ^[0-9A-Z][0-9A-Z ]$
The first ^ indicates the beginning of the line and $ the end of the line.  The pattern will only work with two characters on the line.  If you have more than two characters on the line then use this
    To     : ^[0-9A-Z][0-9A-Z ]
