Match EQ. Good plug, but there's something that dosen't add up..

I tried Match EQ plug and I find it useful to observe and compare Mixes and tracks, but there's something I can't understand. Here it is:
I made a match EQ between a source and a destination Mix in 2 different way:
1. The source Mix was louder than the destination one: I got, say, a certain match EQ
2. The destination Mix was led up to the same level as the source one, and then a new matching passage was made: I got THE SAME MATCH EQ as before.
How can it be possible? I thought it would have been obvious that raising destination Mix level would have changed the relationships between the 2 Mixes' Eq performance. Am I wrong?

the Volume is related with evarage RMS ammont... (not eq because eq change if RMS change)
but... for changing RMS you need to use Mid/Side Compressors that can change the original EQ of the "x" Mix
so
in order to got the "same" resulting Match EQ of "like as" "commercial mixer" you need to use a lot of different plugins... including Multiband Compressors, de-esser, EQ, EQ, and EQ again, Maximazer and on the last a great Limiter! (the order on the channel strips is related by your personal experience...
you need to try by yoursef...
as you understand after that the Match EQ can be used only after all mastering plugins in order to check if the EQ curve is similar!
in any case Mastering is a art... there are no rules or better... the rules exist but for the maximum result those rules must be broken
and is only the personal experience that brings your work to an acceptable result.
Obviously a good mastering requir a perfect MIX...
if your mix is defective ... adding compressors and so on.. should be a very dangerous experience..
a good result require only little bit adjustments...
a BAD MIX with a stromg mastering effects... will show only to increase its defects

    Your iCloud password is your Apple ID and password. You must know it since you are posting here.
    Have you transfered your MMe account to iCloud? If not, open iCloud in system preferences and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
    If you have transfered it to iCloud, do this:
    Go to the iCloud icon in System Preferences and open it. Sign out of iCloud.
    Open Mail. If the iCloud or MMe account still exists in Mail's preferences under accounts, select the account and delete it. Then sign back into iCloud and choose Mail and any other applications in iCloud that you use. The Mail account should be put into Mail automatically.
    Signing out of iCloud should remove the account from Mail and signing back in should put it back. There is no manuel account creation by you when using Apple Mail application.

    ok lets say that i have 3 clients connected to my server which is responsible to pass the messages from only one client to a robot.

    Then this server must queue the other two clients and leave only one "Alive" and the other two must wait a certain amount of time untill the current client that speaks with the server and the robot to die and then to wake up the other one client and start to talk with the server and the robot
    now is it more clear?

  • When in Safari, when I visit such websites as Moshi Monsters or Webkinz, I find that I can't type out messages or anything in the website. Can anyone tell me if there's something that can be done so that I can?

    I have recently begun using Safari as I was unhappy with Opera but my husband and I have found that when visit the Webkinz site or the Moshi Monsters website, I cannot type out any messages at all within the games whilst in Safari?  Can anyone tell me if there is a something that needs to be turned on or off within Safari or my computer to "fix" this?     I had issues in 10.4.7 as well as 10.4.8.
    My problems occurred at the beginning of 10.4.8, then many users brought light to me using WEP, which was not working that great. I changed my connections to WPA2 and my problem has disappeared. If my problem didn't resolve the way it did, I would have mentioned it the next time I visited an apple store.
    The bottom line is that assumptions, complaining, and self diagnostics don't get many people very far and bringing the problem to apple helps them know the incidence of this problem, and helps them develop a reliable solution.
    Though some users have reported the "cold shoulder" when reporting Airport problems to apple... I hope you weren't one of them.

    Do they have a cloud icon next to them? If they do, they aren't on the iPad so you can't delete them. They are in iCloud ready for you to download them if you want to and they are visible in the music app for this purpose.
    If you don't want to see these songs that are in iCloud, go to Settings> iTunes & App Store>Show all>Music>Off.

    Something is wrong but your code doesn't care: catch(SQLException ee){}What happens if there is an SQL exception? Nothing. That's probably what happened. Try this to find out: catch(SQLException ee){ee.printStackTrace();}

  • I bought a Mac Mini for the family but there's something very odd. Windows looks completely different and I'm completely confused. Is this because of Windows 8? How do I get back to my old Windows!

    Windows looks completely different and we can't use the computer. We're flumoxed, we did some research and read about this new version of Windows - is this the problem? Is there a way to revert to the older version of Windows? Apple has shot themselves in the foot with this change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Macs don't come with Windows. They come with OS X. If you want Windows, you'll need to install it yourself, or return the Mac and buy a PC.

  • Getting messages "startup disk is full" and activity monitor is showing "syslog d" is using a lot of CPU.  I'm planning on getting more memory for my late 2008 model Macbook but wondering if there's something that is causing problems that I can also fix.

    I had closed out of all of my programs but heard the internal fans running so I checked the activity monitor.  It shows syslog d as the top process using the CPU right now.  I have no idea what that means.
    I read a thread about the startup disk being full and how you can free up memory.  I have an airport extreme so TimeCapsule is backing up everything.  I do have a bunch of pictures on iPhoto on the laptop;  could move those to another location but I'm a little gunshy.  I know they are on the TimeCapsule but I would like to save them to a second place before deleting from laptop just to be sure.  I went through several things yesterday and emptied trash, etc.  I wasn't able to locate the hidden files that the thread about the startup disk being full was referencing --- they were talking about large emails that were causing processes to happen taking up the CPU.... I wasn't able to find out if that was the case for me. 
    Also I'm going to look into getting another 2MB of memory and installing it on the Macbook, so I can upgrade to the latest OS.  Anyone have an idea if that is worth the $$$ over buying a new laptop?  Or anyone have ideas as to where to buy memory, etc.
    Any ideas - help!

    Yes, you can download iTunes for Windows using Parallels. If planning on making purchases here and/or authorizing already purchased tracks (from your Mac iTunes library), you are permitted to authorize five (5) computers as per iTunes Store terms of use, regardless of computing platform. No need to create a separate new iTunes Store account.
    However, judging from what you would like to do, your best bet would be to convert the WMAs to AAC/MP3 in iTunes-Windows (iTunes-Mac cannot import WMA files), and drag the files from the Parallels window to your desktop to add to the iTunes-Mac library. (as the iPod itself is currently linked to your iTunes-Mac library)

    i have issues hosting i get a message referring to NAT. i'm not familitary with the MTU settings. can you take a pic or elaborate? i've gone through the testing connection it gets to the internet and comes up with an error. it says it'll connect but it's not at the optimal connection.

    I edited an entire feature only to discover I brought the footage in at a very low resolution. The footage was brought in using batch capture and appears to have no time code, the movie was shot with no time code set. I am bringing in all the footage again at the correct resolution but don't want to have replace all of my edits individually and manually... that could take weeks... Is there a way to link all my old tapes to the footage I'm bringing in now so final cut will automatically do it for me? Thank you so much for your help!

    The footage can't have been batch captured without timecode. It could be captured using CAPTURE NOW...but I wager that you had device control set to UNCONTROLLED DEVICE, and this captures without code.
    Nope...no way to reconnect to higher res footage automatically. The last thing FCP is good at is media management. You need timecode. Without that, you are relegated to doing this all manually. Time code is gold.

  • When I punch the calender icon on my ipod touch the calender comes up but there is no   so I can add data, nor can I remove date currently in the calender.  It is only 2 weeks old.  Any input???

    Just bought an iPod touch.  When I open the calender there are no "marks" at the top of the screen to allow me to enter data.  Called tech support and they said turn off then on (did not work of coourse), had me reset to original settings )did not work either. 
    I can buy an advanced tech support package to have them do more but ?????  
    Anyone had this problem or know of a fix???

    Head to Settings -> iCloud and make sure Calendars (and probably Contacts) are set to On.

  • Help! I can't update itunes because I deleted quicktime then tried to reinstall quicktime but there are components that won't be uninstalled

    Ok. So a while ago quicktime got deleted (but only partially) which won't allow me to reinstall it to fix it. The error with quicktime affected my itunes which I can no longer open. I tried to reinstall everything but I get an error because 1) the older version of bonjour cannot be removed and 2) an older version of quicktime cannot be removed which then says that itunes can not be installed without quick time. But I also cannot delete everything to reinstall. Because when I try to delete either Bonjour or quicktime I get this message: the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable!
    I have performed a search on my hard drive to find all quicktime files to try to delete but it won't let me delete the last three files and gives me this message when I attempt to delete: Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or disk. And the other two only allow me the option to open containing folder, copy or extract....
    I also made changes on the registry according to someone else' instructions to see if that would solve the problem, restarted the computer but that didn't help either.
    Nothing has allowed me to reinstall itunes back onto my computer and without itunes, I can not sync my iphone and get updated! I am using Windows XP by the way
    This is driving me crazy!

    I tried to reinstall everything but I get an error because 1) the older version of bonjour cannot be removed and 2) an older version of quicktime cannot be removed which then says that itunes can not be installed without quick time.
    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
    After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
    Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
