Match updating already uploaded tracks

When does Match update already uploaded tracks? i have albums uploaded but find some are not sorted correctly, ie, they are single tracks and not album grouped. i have changed this on my laptop so the tracks group togethercorrectly under one album and left the laptop connected to Match. It says step 2 of the Match process has recompleted. Is this the step which updates my tracks? and when can i expect the iphone to have its tracks updated by this?

Metadata updates happen in real time. In my experience running the match routine slows it down if anything. Always try to avoid making changes when match is updating.
When the match process has completed then try changing the tags again making sure that it isn't running a match update at the time.
You may need to force this change by changing the metadata to something else, then back again. For example, I had some changes which hadn't gone through to the cloud, so I made the artist tag incorrect (by adding an x to the end of the name) and then corrected it. Those changes were made almost instantly and my tags were then correct.

  • Match will not upload tracks no longer available in the Store?

I purchased and album on 2/4/2007 (see below) which is apparently no longer available in the iTunes store.
I understand that some music that was once available might be removed from the store for copyright reasons.  Because these tracks were protected AAC files Match will not upload them.
Is there any thing I can do to get these tracks into Match and therefore available to all of my devices?

He just does not want to update his Logic Pro X. It's his preference.
Thanks for the help He just wants to keep it version 10.0.6 as it is the way he bought just like a person wants to keep their Mac OS X for example 10.0.2.

  • HT4914 Is there a possibility to try and re-match songs already uploaded to the cloud?

Some songs part of an album were uploaded the first time with iTunes match. Is it possible to try and re-match them later on?

The most likely reason for them not matching is the versions you have are not in the store (due to remasters etc). Your results are normal.
You can delete them from the cloud, wait a while and add them back into your library, but if they didnt match last time then they won't next time.
Some people have had some success by playing around with the files to try to force a match. A search on here may help, but it will still not give great results, and I personally think it isn't even close to being worth the time and effort.
My advice is just to take the results you have, and maybe Apple will alter the matching process in the future. I suspect that they won't alter them to make much of a difference though.

  • ITunes Match not upload tracks

Hi, I have a problem with iTunes Match.
I tried several things, including Logout and subsequent Login, convert songs to AAC but nothing; iTunes still does not upload tracks! Do you have any idea?
    THANK YOU in advance!

Thanks for coming back to me Andy,
Unfortunately it appears you're experiencing the same issue that several of us on here have reported recently. At this point there isn't really anything you can try to fix the problem as it's looking increasingly likely the issue is at Apple's side. I would however recommend contacting the iTunes Support team to report the problem, the more people that report it the more likely it will get picked up sooner.
Go to https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action Select Show all Products and Services at the bottom of the page, select iTunes > iTunes Store > iTunes Match and use one of the contact options such as Chat.
I've currently got a case open with support for this and will post an update as soon as I hear anything back. Let me know how you get on.

  • Sound check / normalization problem with matched versus uploaded tracks

I am finding that matched tracks are playing MUCH louder than uploaded tracks on my iPod.  Before I started the match process, my library was normalized to an 89 dB reference level, which USED to be the audio engineering standard for recordings.  The AAC tracks that Apple has matched my tracks with seem to be as much as 10 dB above this -- the difference is painful.  To make matters worse, iTunes Match usually only matches portions of albums, so some of the tracks (the uploaded ones) are playing back at a reference of 89dB while the matched tracks are playing back at whatever Apple uses (my guess is @98-100 dB).  My understanding of the MP3 file format is that there is no benefit to ripping to a 100 dB level. It is not like the old days of analogue tape where you could improve the signal-to-noise-ratio by recording slightly 'hot.' In an MP3 file, there is normalization information stored in the file header. I do not know about AAC files.
I have turned 'sound check' on on my iPod, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.  Has anyone found a way to fix this issue short of renormalizing the entire library and then re-uploading verything to the Match service?  Needless to say, the original process of getting everything I owned to 89 dB was tedious in the first place and I don't want to have to redo that.  If I do need to redo everyhting, does anyone know what reference level Apple uses for its matched files?

@ roebeet.  Thanks for telling me that 'Sound Check' does not work in iOS 5.  That is what I had found, but it's good to know it's not just me.  I talked to an Apple tech support guy and he seemed to know nothing about this.  He had me hard reset my iPod and then wrote it up.  He was quite nice about it, and suggested I send a recomendation email to Apple.
I downloaded a half dozen of Apple's matched AAC tracks from the iCloud and ran a volume check on them, and they seem to be using levels in the upper 90 dB range, so my guess that their tracks were a full 10 dB louder than my 89 dB tracks was confirmed.  What I've done to solve this is to remove all my uploaded MP3 tracks from the iCloud and from iTunes, renormalize them to 98 dB instead of 89 dB, then reimport them into iTunes and then reupload them to the iCloud.  It seems to be working so far.
You are right about some of Apple's stuff being clipped.  You don't need Audacity, either: digital clipping sounds so very very ugly.  The Apple 256 kbs AAC version of 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' from Led Zepplin I is clipped.  There is no excuse for this.  It makes me wonder how to alter a file so that it won't be matched: my MP3 version of the song is fine.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • How long after match update/upload before songs are available on iPhone?

It's been two days since iTunes Match update & upload from my desktop and the songs still are not available for download on my iPhone.  Very annoying.

On the iOS device turn off iTunes Match, launch the Music app and let the content clear out, then re-enable iTunees Match.

  • Stop Artwork reverting after Match update?

Hi All, is there any simple way to stop artwork changes reverting to previous after an itunes match update has been completed? I know if you delete the file, re import etc, however as ive a slow internet connection and some files are close on 200mb that isnt always practical. The tracks im looking to change artwork on have already been uploaded to the cloud. I then make an artwork change and it sticks until the next time match is updated and then reverts when the process is complete and i hit done. Im hoping there us a very simple way to make these changes stick. Thank you, Simon

Hi, thank you for your help.
Some motherboards were not in chassis when I got them. Is there a place the PSAAxx model number would be written on the boards?
Four PSAA8U (Two A105-S4334 and Two A105-S4014) - Intel Chipset, fingerprint reader. Tried BIOS Versions 1.40, 1.70, 2.00, 5.10, 5.60, 5.90, and 6.00. Shift keys do not work on either one.
    Two PSAA2U (A105-S2091 and A105-S2031) - ATi Chipset. BIOS versions 1.50, 1.80, and 2.30. Keyboard works.
Another PSAA8U (A105-S4184) - Intel Chipset, no fingerprint reader. BIOS version 6.00. Keyboard works.
I noticed that so far all of the models with fingerprint readers have the problem. All of the ATi Chipset boards are working fine, but they have significant processor limits. I am in the middle of updating the BIOS in another Intel one using a Crisis Rescue Disc, so after that finishes I will try disconnecting the fingerprint reader to see if it has an effect.
I don't think the keyboard controller is faulty, because these boards all failed on the same day. I have tried updating the BIOS using WinPhlash, Phlash16 in DOS, the install CD, and a Crisis Recovery Disk. I set the defaults in the BIOS almost every time, and I also have tried holding the power button for 60 seconds with the power cord unplugged and the battery removed (as some people have suggested.)
The shift keys don't work in DOS, Linux, Windows, or even in the BIOS. I test it in the BIOS by using Tab to cycle through the fields in time of day, then Shift-Tab to cycle backwards. This works with a USB keyboard, and it also works on the ATi chipset models and the Intel chipset models that are still working.
Thank you for your reply. (-:

  • If I uninstall LR will I lose the photos already uploaded. I need to uninstall to reinstall from a trial version

If I uninstall LR that I had as a trial in order to reinstall a paid version will I lose the photos already uploaded?

Your photos and catalog-of-adjustments will remain intact because they are stored in a separate location than the program, itself, which you’ll be replacing.
A reinstall shouldn’t be necessary unless your trial is CC LR and you paid for a serial-number LR or vice-versa.
For the serial-number LR it’s best to download the very latest version since if you don’t it’ll ask you do update, again, anyway.  The latest LR 5.7.1 version is here:

  • How do I tell iTunes Match NOT to upload a song / audio file?

I produce music in Logic Pro and later play in iTunes for additional listening and testing.  How do I tell iTunes Match NOT TO UPLOAD certain songs or audio files?   I have to continously delete files from the cloud.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi,
It's all or nothing with iTunes Match. If the track is a valid format it either matches or uploads.
Do you want to keep the tracks in itunes? If so, I suggest that you create a second blank library then turn on match. This will show all your tracks in the cloud. If a track uploads, you can delete it from the cloud using this new library. When you revert to your original library, the track will still be present but the iCloud status will now be "removed" instead of "uploaded". You can see iCloud status in song view by going to menu > view > view options and tick box. Match will now ignore this track when scanning your library.

  • Updating already published folio

    Hello.
I am not very sure, how to update already published folios. Yes, i know, there is a update button DPS Folio Produser
But, if i upload folio to my user account, then share it to application acount for distribution? In application account i copy my already shared folio and publish it.
After updating content in my account the content of the updated folio is not transferred to the published folio in application account.
Must i copy the folio again and publish it again? And my clients must download that folio again?
I tried it and somehow my clients began to see 2 copies of the magazine in distribution app.
    Ants

iGeo suggestion is the way to go in your case.
    1. Have your freelancer share the corrected folio with your(application account)
    2. Open the shared folio
    3. "Copy to" the corrected article into your live folio
    4. Delete the outdated article from the live folio
    5. Re-arrange the articles to order
    6. Hit the "Update" button on your folio producer dashboard
You should now see the changes in your live folio

Can not view images of Patents (i.e., D/359,691) on USPTO.gov Patent search, it tells me I need a plugin (Quicktime) which I updated already.
In the "Quick Search" I give terms & it compiles a list. I then go through to each doc and look to view the doc and associated drawings. I'm not sure what else to say at this juncture.
    Thanks.

Wonderful, not only did I get the issue resolved, but I got some good tools in the process.
Thank you so much for your insight and assistance.

  • Code doesn't update when uploading new files to website.

code doesn't update when uploading new files to website.   I was using an old DW version for a long time then forced to upgrade when I bought my MacBook Pro. Now when I make changes to my pages and link to new files etc on my harddrive, when i upload the pages it won't image because the code still points to harddrive (this did not used to be a problem)... I manually changed the code on the web host site to point to the site and it loaded fine. But now my files on my harddrive also point to the web host files and now don't image on my computer. I never had to worry about this so far and wonder if the new version has a setting I'm supposed to be aware of so that I can design on my hardrive and upload and it knows that the files are being uploaded with it?  Ugh hpe this makes sense - I'm NOT a webs designer and the new DW is way more than I use in it's technology.

    Hi
This sounds like you have not defined your site in the site definition.

iTunes Match has stopped uploading - every file errors and says waiting - I have tried to delete the files and use other formats etc.  I have had the service since Day 1 and NEVER had an issue.  It didn't start until the Delete from Cloud switch to Hide from cloud - the files that do not upload show grayed out on my other devices.

Have you confirmed that you successfull purged iTunes Match by also looking on an iOS device?  If so, keep in mind that Apple's servers may be experiencing a heavy load right now.  They just added about 19 countries to the service and I've read a few accounts this morning that suggests all's not running perfectly right now.
