Matching HR and AD records on 2 attributes, then modify the join attribute?

Hi,
We are introducing FIM into an environment consisting of an HR system and AD, with no so happy data. I know that data integrity is key, but there are people above that want some results....so....
The only match between the existing HR and AD data we can find is the 'firstname' & 'surname' attributes. Lets assume for now that there are no duplicate 'firstname' & 'surname' attributes in HR and AD...could we join the records on 2 attributes
of 'firstname' & 'surname'?
Once the records are joined, we would then flow the 'employeeID' attribute from HR to AD.
Could we then remove the 'firstname' & 'surname' join rule and replace it with 'employeeID' attribute join rule?

Yes, or even leave the name-based join there but lower in precedence than the employeeID one. In practice the problem with name-based joins is not just the obvious one of duplicates but more often that the entry in AD has been created with a preferred
first name (e.g. Dave) whereas the HR one has the legal first name (e.g. David), leading to missed joins.

Thanks for feedback. Compiling this product under Enterprise Linux 5 seems problematic. Binary package is available from the EPEL repository (Fedora)

HT1296 I was using the iCloud for my iPod and had recorded an important Voice Memo on the device. Before I was able to store it on my computer, the device stopped working. I have the data on the Cloud, how can I get that back to my iMac?

I was using the iCloud for my iPod and had recorded several irreplaceable Voice Memos. It went up to the Cloud, but I wasn't too savvy with the Cloud at that point, so it wasn't syncronizing to my home computer. So, the thing is that the iPod died and the backup is in the Cloud and I would like to load the backup to my iMac to recover my data. How can I do that? Thanks

The new device I got to replace the iTouch is a iPad and I don't see the playlist I created with previous voice memos on it at all. Is there any way to access them on the iPad? If I erase the iPad and restore it with the old back up will the Voice Memos come along and get in to my home computer or will I be out of luck?

Need single record for single period. Modify the select query.

THere are 6 programs for each company for each billing period. If anyof the program for one billing period and period_balance>0 then display outstanding balance YES. if period_balance <=0 for all the programs for one period then outstanding balance=NO

Note:in the actual out put max(lastpayment date) is returing null values. if there is any date in one billing return that date only remove null example is september. in september it should return only 09/13/10 this date not null date. but if there is no other within one biling then consider that as null example november..

Firefox worked fine yesterday, but today it wont load. I tried unstalling and downloaded a new version. Got message the extended attributes are inconsistant.

ATried to open Firefox browser to read mail but it wouldnt open. An error message indicated something about version 12 and version 11 issues so I uninstalled Firefox and used Explorer to download a fresh copy. Wouldnt install.

I ran the System File Checker and it told me there are corrupt files that could not be repaired. I dont understand all the info that I read on the CBS.log, but from what I gather from the link you provided I'll be doing a reformat today. :(
What puzzles me is the fact that all was well when I shut down my computer but by morning there were corrupt files????? Strange no virus, no malware so what on earth happened? The million dollar question.:)

I have a new Apple TV, I plugged it in last night and it worked fine, I then, I was mirroring with my iPad and everything. It then prompted me to to the update so I hit update and went to bed. Today I can't turn the Apple TV on!
It just says no signal on my tv.
I've tried pressing menu and down arrow for 6 seconds, an apple appears on my tv screen but then it goes back to saying no signal!
Is it broken?

Specifically I wonder if the AppleTV may be trying to connect with an unsupported resolution giving a black screen. Try cycling display resolutions using these remote commands in step 6:
If your TV screen appears fuzzy or black (you see no video)
Make sure the television you are using supports the Apple TV resolution requirements. Please see the Apple TV technical specifications.
When you connect power, check to make sure the LED turns on. If the LED is not on, then verify with a known good power outlet or connect something else to the outlet you're using for Apple TV and make sure it works (such as a lamp or clock).
Make sure you're using the correct video cables and that they are connected firmly to Apple TV and to your TV.
Connect the HDMI cable directly into the Apple TV and your television, remove any third party devices or adapters.
Make sure the input setting you've selected on your TV matches the input you have your video cables connected to. See the documentation that came with your TV for more information.
Change the Apple TV resolution by pressing and holding the Menu and Up button for six seconds. The Apple TV will automatically cycle to the next resolution at approximately 20 second intervals. Pressing the Select button will immediately cycle to the next resolution.
If you are connected via HDMI, try unplugging and replugging your HDMI cable.

PhotoBooth records a video, but then in the image pane it is shown as grey, please help?

So, I've been trying to record videos using PhotoBooth, and even before I deleted and uninstalled my QuickTime, it had started recording videos and showing them as grey. When I try to click on them and open them, PhotoBooth quits on itself. Can someone advise me of what I need to do here?

I'm afraid the LU suffix is a new one on me.
As long as you have all of the content in your library then that remove and sync warning shouldn't cause any loss of data, but it shouldn't be happening every time. It may pay to take the following steps to reset the connection between the two,
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
Again, this assumes all content on the device is in your library. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

i want to sort the dimension attributes then show the folder attributes.

Generally, all the folders will display on the above of dimension attributes, all the folders and attributes are listed in alphabetical order, we can sort one property members' sequence, but there is no build-in feature to sort all properties' sequence,
if you want to sort the properties at your will, you have to add some prefix to property's name using the letter. However, you want to display attributes first and then folders, right? I am afraid this requirement cannot be achieved.
