I am facing one error that
material 892560 already exists as a variant for material 892.
this a partial message ,I thin k I am getting
Can any one please help me what does this means
How to rectify this error

You can resolve this through PowerShell but the quickest and easiest method would be to create the account under a new email address and alias then when it has been created changing the email address to the correct one.
It is because when the account was created an associated UPN (unique principal name) was created in the online version of Active Directory that underpins Exchange Online and still exists even though the account was disabled. You are trying to create a new
account with a matching UPN and so it is being rejected.

Hi ,
When create a goods reciept for material ABBBBB in plant X001 and sloc 0001 for the first time in a day , system automatically creates a batch number .
When I try to create a goods reciept for the same material in same plant/sloc combination , system gives me an message "Batch for the material already exists in plant " . and it stops me from going to enter values for characteristics .
But system creates a batch automatically when I recieve the same material into same plant with different sloc .
Can anyone suggest me the config or userexit so that system allows me to create a batch with a warning message .

When u r creating batch from MSC1N, u r maintaing for combination of material, batch, plant, storage location. So with this combination u find already existing batch when u enter same material again for plant and sto location combination.
Now when u change the storage location it is creating new batch as it is not there for different combination.
Also you can check configuration in Img -- Log general -- batch management --Creation of new batches -- Creation for Goods movement.
Here u can selct option for particular movement type.
Hope this will solve ur problem in this regard

Excise invoice already exists error in J1IS

Hello
Created the Subcontracting PO , and Issue the material to vendor ( mov type 541) with payment of duty, after this created the Excise invoice with T.code J1IS, system was generated the Excise entries in table J_1IEXCDTL and J_1IEXCHDR.
After that we have reversed the excise entries, so now we got "R"Indicator in status field in above said table J_1IEXCDTL.
Now system should allow me to create one more excise invoice with same Material document number but sytem was giving error message that "excise invoice already exists"
Why system was allowing us to create new excise invoice?

you can't create another Excise document with same Material Doc.Because for this Material document already Excise document exit even though it is reversed.i think you have to delete Material document from J_1IEXCDTL and J_1IEXCHDR. then try to create new

Adding new custom field in already existing custom tab for MM01

Hello Guru,
I have a requirement that add a custom field in already existing custom view of MM01. I did the following steps :
1. I have cerated a new field in MARA using APPEND structure.
2. I have found the function group(Y_FE_MARA) that already there other subscreens, so that I have added another subscreen in that function group and created a field from MARA in the screen.
3. in SPRO went for the path Logistics General->Material Master->Configuring the Material->Define Structure of Data screens for Each Screen sequence
In the 3rd step, I have choosen already existing screen sequence(Y1) and went for Data Screens and choosen for Custom tab and double click on subscreens and then I have added the program as SAPLY_FE_MARA and subscreen number(011) and saved it.
After all the above steps, I have run MM02/MM03 then the field is not getting displayed in the screen of custom view.
Did I miss any steps here? Please suggest me if I did something wrong.

Thank you for the reply. As per the note some one already implemented the Screen Enhancement with 2 custom views. I need to add the field in any one of existing custom view. So for this I have created a Subscreen in copied function group of MGD1(Y_FE_MARA). But in the function group already 10 Subscreens were created. Is this is the problem? or else copy the FG MGD1 into another FG and create the subscreen will be feasible to my scenario?

I want to change the material group in already exist PO. like one material have the material group 1002. i have changed the material group in material master i.e. 0022.
In already existed PO for this material, material group is not changing. how do we do this.

if it is not processed for gr then just delete the existing material and give new entry of material in same po

Hierarchy ID R3PRODHIER already exists

Hi ,
I am new to SAP.and I am doing downloading data from ECC to CRM.Because iof the situations we have changed the Logical system name.And we have updated that new name in table level and everythign is fine till now.Now when we try to download the objects everythign is fine.But when i try to download the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 i am getting the error "Hierarchy may only be changed in the original system'.As per the note 369684 I have done some corrections and triggered the Load object in R3AS.Now when I check in R3AM1 the object is showing as "running".When I go and check in SMQ1 in ECC there the ques are pending with sysfail.
The error is Hierarchy ID R3PRODHIER already exists'.
Please suggest me on this.I am in need of help.

When you say that the logical system name was changed, was it done post client-copy? And did you follow all the steps(including running the BDLS report)? or was the change done manually at table levels.
In case you're downloading materials please follow this order

I am trying to change the material valuation class in MM02. I am getting an error Stocks already exist for the sales order. Even though there exists no stock. SAP note suggests to make this error message as warning message. Could you pls help me to know the message class and number?

Yes, you are right. SAP, unfortunately does not tell that stock does not exists in current or previous period. As I consultant, I have assured that there exists no stock in current and previous period. However, I am not sure, still why this message is thrown. Its checked in MD04 that nothing is assigned to material and in MMBE no stock exists. We shall take care of this Sales order that it is not used after changing the valuation class but now I need to know what is the message class and number for that error. Suggestions would be much appreciated.

There is an error ocurring when the CIF is executed, this message I can see in the transaction SMQ1, the error " SR 053 - Creation not possible (Mapping for <product> already exists <product> ", the product really exists in APO but I don't know why this error occur because in this case the material should be updated. Anyone know why this error occur ?? and how can I fix ??
When I try to execute only this material in CFM2 no errors occur.

We did faced a similar problem. The reason was the external material number was different in both cases.
ie the already existing record has the external material number padded with '0000' and the one coming doesn't have leading '0000'

It seems that the issue is in the timer job definition for executing this operation.
My suggestion is to start the service again and delete the job definition from the error and again try to stop it.

I had a lot of issues in the past when try to stop this instance after the Web apps are provisioned.
As general rule now If I have multi-server Farm topology that has servers that should not serve Web App requests I turn off the service prior to provisioning any Web Apps in the Farm.

We have installed a BI 7.0 system recently and I am setting up the server to connect to SAP ERP.
In TA SM59 a connection to the SAP ERP has been established. The Remote Logon is OK, (meaning clicking it nothing happens). The Connection Test is OK.

In TA RSA1
1.     Choose Modeling.
2.     Choose Source Systems.
3.     Select SAP in the window on the right.
4.     Choose the Context menu (right mouse click).
5.     Choose Create.
6.     Make the following entries:

Background user in source system: RFCUSER (I created the user in ERP according to step 1.4 in B84)
Password for source system: *****
Background user in BI: RFCUSER (I created the user in BI according to step 1.4 in B84)
Password for BI user: *****
8.     In the dialog box Please log on as an administrator in the following screen choose Continue.
9.     Log on to the Source System with your administrator user. Choose the correct client.

just some guessing at this point...
a)
Is the connection really new? For example, was there another system connected to that ERP, maybe with the same logical name? Or was any of the two systems copied from another system?
b)
Authorisations issues in this process may result in strange error messages. Make sure that the admin user in step 9 really has SAP_ALL. There are a lot of complex activities that this user must be able to do (ALE management, RFC access etc.). To exclude issues with the RFCUSER users: If possible, give them SAP_ALL, too. Of course only temporarily for testing.
c)
I normally don't use existing RFC destinations. Usually, I let the system create those, too. So maybe it makes a difference if you remove the RFC destinations on both sides and try again. In that case, you will of course have to provide the RFC details when creating the source system connection...

Lightroom not putting folders in subdirectories as directed on import; then not letting me move folders to clean up because "folders already exist" (but they don't!) Please help!

I have used Lightroom for years and have never had issues importing until a few weeks ago. I have a very organized system of files for my portraits - "Portraits" > "Babies & Families" > "2014" > "(Surname)". While importing I create a subfolder using the family surname under "Destination" in LR. It shows an italicized folder in the correct place prior to clicking "Import," but when I go to "Library" mode to select the folder, all the newly created folders are now on the root directory. I try to then drag and drop them to their proper place, but I'm told that a folder by this name already exists in that destination and won't allow the move. Tried emailing a contact at Adobe, and then followed up with a phone call, but haven't heard back. Desperately need help before my entire file system becomes one big mess. Any thoughts or advice graciously welcomed.

Thanks for the tip. That partially took care of the problem. Now all the orphans are back together, but a new root folder called "Photos" has been created as the parent of a new set of "Portraits" > "Babies & Familes" > "2014". So now I have Root folder > "Portraits" > "Babies & Familes" > "2014" > "Surname" AND "Portraits" (at root) > "Babies & Familes" > "2014". I've tried to drag the Surname folders into the preexisting "2014" but it says they already exist, so then I tried dragging "2014" under the preexisting "Portraits" and was able to do that but it somehow screwed up the original "2014" folder which now has a "?" next to "2014" and all it's contents! It's getting worse! What now?

How do I get the pictures from my iPhoto on my external Hard Drive to show up in the already existing iPhoto on my MacBook?

I have an early 2008 MacBook. I had been using iPhoto on this MacBook until I purchased an iMac in 2011, at which time I copied my iPhoto Library from my MacBook to my iMac. Then I realized that my pictures and music were consuming the memory on my iMac, so I moved iPhoto and my iTunes LIbrary to an external Hard Drive. Now I am in a situation where I do not have access to my iMac, but will need to use my MacBook as my main computer for the next year. So, I have my iPhoto on an external hard drive and I plug it into my MacBook and see the iPhoto Library folder, but when I click on it, it opens up the old iPhoto that is still existing on my MacBook and will not show any of the new pictures?! At first I thought it wasn't able to show up anything because my MacBook was running two operating systems behind what my iMac was when I was running my iPhoto Library from that computer. So, I upgraded to OS X 10.7.5 and upgraded the existing iPhoto on my MacBook to iPhoto '11 version 9.4.3. However whenever I plug in the external hard drive and click on the iPhoto Library folder to open it up, it is still just opening up the already existing iPhoto on the MacBook (with my older pictures) rather than the iPhoto on the hard drive (with my newer pictures). How can I access my pictures that are on my external hard drive?

However, I did discover that whenever I open up the iPhoto Library that is already existing on my MacBook a certain set of pictures shows up. But then when I open up the iPhoto Library from the Hard drive another set of pictures shows up. BUT not ALL of my pictures are showing up on the iPhoto Library from the hard drive. At least the last two years of pictures are not showing up?! Actually, it appears that all the pictures are there from when I started using iPhoto about 5 years ago up until around the time that I got my iMac desktop computer and started using that (2 years ago). I have noticed that more recent videos I have made are showing up in a folder on the hard drive, but will not appear when I open up iMovie?! Hi Apple community!
I have a [rather worrying] problem.
When I try to copy all my files from my documents on my mac [or the entire documents folder] into an external drive, I get this error message
" The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “.DS_Store” already exists. "
I am not given an option to skip this file or anything else.
But I simply cannot complete the operation!
I have tried deleting a few of the .ds_store files, [both in the original and in the destinations]
but no success.
The same thing keeps happening.
At first, this was just happening when I was trying to backup to my dropbox folder [the one on my mac's harddrive, which gets synced to the cloud],
but then I tried to back up my documents to my external hard drive, and I realized it is giving me the same error message.
So effectively, it seems I cannot backup my files anywhere!

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
